You know, Firefox has a plugin called greasemonky which allows you to run custom script when you load a page. So it's possible to write a script that will automaticlly decapitalize any post made by Ritlina.
I'd offer to write it, but I may be too lazy. (On the other hand, I might secretly already be working on it, muahahaha)

As I said if you look at my Nation here (http://www.nationstates.net/randomlittleisland) you'll find I have a population of 1.64 billion so obviously I'm not just a puppet. Apparently the sole reason for imposing a post count limit was to avoid puppet voting, I have proved that I am not a puppet and so you should acknowledge my vote.

Ritlina, in English class, only pronouns and some nouns are capitalized, not adjectives, verbs, adverbs, other nouns and grammatical words.

In 7th-8th grade, they do review this, don't they (considering you're thirteen)?

It seems to me to be a poor attempt to disguise the fact that they do not know exactly when to capitalise, so decide to deliberately do it for every word to be special and not look like an idiot. Unfortunately, the attempt fails - i'd rather you just didn't use caps at all than put them everywhere.

yeah, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. That's why when I REALLY want all caps, I just press the shift key for each letter. tedious, but it avoids the chance of that working and thus merely capitalizing the word.

Who's dissenting? Without wanting to spell it out, I thinking the honorable thing to do would be for Ritalina to concede and we can all get on with our lives. It's not like presidential candidates wait for the last vote to be counted before one side concedes. The important part is being able to unify under the same idea. With all due respect, this is a petition, not a vote. Petitions require a certain number of endorsements to be passed. Negative opinions are not counted for or against. Votes worry about the number of people voting yes and no. In that case, it would be 19 affirmative signatures that remain to be collected.

If you would disagree, I suppose this is very subjective in nature, I cannot really say you have no right to say his posts are not powerful at all. That was me presenting my subjective opinion.

As for the title Veritas, I use it in place of my official title, as it takes much longer to write. The name truth indicates my struggle to understand it and grasp it, a struggle which I think all humans should have.

The chain of thought goes like this.

Writing with a capital letter at the start of every word stunts the flow of the paragraph, making it hard to follow. Every individual word is emphasised with a stacatto-like punch. When all the words are like that, there is no natural focus in the sentence, or even the entire post, and we need to try and second guess where the author intends to draw our attention.

If at all possible, we'd prefer it if people didn't use that. It's a chore to read.

Now, we cannot force someone to change their habits, no matter how much we dislike them. However, when that person provides a means by which their irritating habits might be changed, such as this challenge (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=10410658&postcount=11) (that has been mentioned before), it's sensible to give our genuine preference for how we would like things to turn out.

See, this is exactly the reason why I find it so frustrating that he keeps typing like that - I'm having an incredibly hard time reading his posts (even harder, I think, than with all caps) yet I don't think he's a troll or an idiot or something, so I'd kind of like to see what he has to say, and I certainly don't see a reason to put him on "ignore" like somebody upthread suggested.

Where it's just one post of his, I've just been skipping it, which is bad enough, really. But in that thread he started earlier, it was really a pity, because no matter how interesting the topic on hand, there's just no way I'll be able to make it through more than even a page of that.

You say held his own. I say bloodimindedly refused to accept he was wrong on every claim he made.

I guess we have to agree to disagree.

Though his posts by no objective criteria I can show any signs of being "powerful." They were not particuarly rational, nor backed up by, nor particuarly coherent, nor novel, groundbreaking or persuasive. I really can't think of anything that made them "poweful." Other then that they were a chore to read and succeeded in annoying people. Though if that is the sole criterion for "powerful" then every n00b with gun smilies and bad grammar and spelling is also "powerful."

As for the title Veritas, I use it in place of my official title, as it takes much longer to write. The name truth indicates my struggle to understand it and grasp it, a struggle which I think all humans should have.

This is General, we typically don't bother with such formalities. That and the assumed title "Veritas" does make you sound full of yourself and insufferable. No offense meant. Maybe it is just the connection to Robert Kilroy-Silk (as mentioned earlier).
