I am a big Modest Mouse fan. Always thought they were Indie as well... Also Yahoo Music Jukebox has them in the Indie and Alternative channels, not the emo channel and that is the ultimate decider.

As far as I have read into this thread (admittedly, not very far), I love just about every poster. Especially Europa Alpha. Your comedic value almost justifies your existence! And as for myself, I simply believe that emo is another unfathomable fasion phenomena.

Why can't you all be good children and play nice? I don't see why people have to insult others to feel superior or to justify their way of thinking.

You think the way you think and that's it. You have your opinion and if you can't accept the fact that others have grown up differently from you and have their own opinion then please leave the gene pool. We don't need you.

I'm not taking sides on this issue. This isn't a personal attack on any members so put down your keyboards and back away from the computer. You're not that special.

Everyone listens to the music they like. Why do you need others to care? I listen to all sorts like rock, some punk, j-rock, j-pop, k-pop, classical, and a few others but I don't want to bore you with the list. I don't care if you like it. I don't have to justify why I like it. I just do. Can't that be good enough for you? If you like the music. Listen to it. If you like the fashion. Wear it. Why do you give a flying fuck of what others think?

If you're emo, fine. Just don't be a wanker. Acting like a twat only makes people think that all emo's are like that. That doesn't help your stereotype. If you choose to be whiney, fine. Just don't whine to me. I. Don't. Care. And neither does the rest of the world.

If you don't like emo, fine. There's a simple and easy solution. Keep away from them. Ignore them. Don't turn this into a war. I don't care who started it. By insulting each other you're degrading yourself back to 5th grade. Shut up and grow up.

Ahem... so I think I've said enough. ^^; Sorry but I just had to say something. Well.. I think it's a bit more then just 'something.' But anyway, that's my opinion. Also one last thing on the fashion. Tight pants might not appeal to everyone, but isn't it a hell of a lot better than pants that are 20 sizes too big? I don't see what's so cool or sexy about pants that are falling off your ass. I just can't comprehend why that's so popular.

BTW, since it seems that no one reads on what a chav is, basically for Americans it's this: the white boys that pretend/think they're black. They're "TEH GANGSTA YO!!one1!" God.
