And Germany did not invade Norway via Sweden - that claim is historically wrong and disproven by the documents concerning "Unternehmen Weserübung".
I am aware of operation Weserübung. I was referring to the declared neutrality of the Scandinavian countries and the concessions they were prepared to go to, to save their bottoms (like allowing the Germans to use Sweden as an easy access route to and from Norway). Do any Norwegians on this board have a slant on this area of the war?

Sweden's economy is actually very strong and with a high GDP per capita :p I believe only some countries in the EU have higher GDP p. c., not sure which though...perhaps Monaco, Denmark...? London's local GDP on an interesting note is the highest in Europe. I would love to live in Sweden :)

Trust me, its part of the nature of having a germanic nature. We South Africans mostly descend from the Dutch, and we are polite and cordial to the point of it being ridiculous. Also highly punctual. For some reason a penchant for order never dies out from germanic blood :p
