I did this thread a while ago, and it got quite a response, but to avoid gravedigging, and because of the amount of player turnover, lets give it another shot.

So which NS'ers do want to actually meet? And if you feel so inclined, why?

I think it'd be interesting to meet Eutrusca, from what I've seen.

There are a lot of people I would like to meet:

The members of my 'inner circle', i.e. Drache, TNM, PM, Tribes, Neo K, Eh-oh, Simonist, more entries pending.

Also, Melkor Unchained, Jocabia, and/or Alien Born, because we could hold a real and meaningful debate about interesting topics.

I'd also like to meet Sirocco and perhaps Cogitation.


All these are on the condition that I get to wear a mask over my face, of course.

I think it'd be interesting to meet Eutrusca, from what I've seen.

I don't know, really. But then, there is the circumstantial evidence brought on by dragging all of those rusted cars filled with human bones with the inscription "H N Fiddlebottoms VIII Was Here" carved on them out of the East River... It is just a coincidence though, of course.

I know a few NSers. There was a big meet-up at a pub (surprise) in Manchester a few months ago. I couldnt go damn it ... but I hear it was very good.

I honestly would love to meet all of you. I find even those with whom I disagree fascinating. I honestly wish there were some way I could meet everyone who participates on General. There are plenty of you I'd like to meet. Mainly those of you who have been around a while and are well-known because I'd like to find out how my limited knowledge of you measures up to what you are like IRL. I'm not too sure any of you would be interested in meeting me, though. :p

Seeing as how I've primarily wandered around in Nationstates forum, I'd like to meet:

Assington, Imitora, Gehenna Tartarus, The Golden Simatar, Tanara, Reformed Velmora, and a few others I cannot remember at the moment.

In the General forum, I'd like to meet Eutrusca (he owes me a fight anyway :P), Carnivorous Lickers, [NS]Simonist, and a few others that I cannot remember (once again).

As I've stated, neither list is conclusive.

I'd meet anyone who wholeheartedly agreed with many of my viewpoints but only differed slightly on a few of them. These people I would meet to get along with (read: get drunk with and generally have a good time).

I'd also meet anyone who was my polar opposite, believed I was probably going to Hell and told me repeatedly that I definitely deserved it. These people I would meet to have at length conversations with (read: get drunk and shout at each other from across the buffet cart before hurling coctail chipolatas at each other and drunkenly brawling for a good fifteen minutes).

I'd also like to meet all the spammers out there; the people who enjoy typing LOL at each other, the ones who engaged in their own mocking creations of the 'Ask a...' threads, and those who are just insane. You know who you are. These people I would meet to entertain and be entertained by (read: take part in stupid pranks and generally contribute nothing with, all in the name of absolutely pissing myself laughing).

Finally, I'd like to meet anyone I missed, simply to get to know them better (read: walk around with them, getting them drunk then filming any hilarious drunken antics so I can put them on NS and make these people my hilarious band of lunatics).

That said, I'd like to meet Potaria and Czardas. I want to see if Potaria really does regularly threaten to beat people up IRL, and I want to see the mortal frame that anchors the Czardian ego to our world. There are a few other people (Simonist, Cluich, etc.) that might be nice to get smashed beside, but I really have no especial reason to meet them.

Well, first of all, I would like to say I'm SUPER pleased I was mentioned, but I only got to a few mentions before I decided to post. This is a nice distraction from the abortion debate I'm currently immersed in.

I actually live on the Kansas side, in Prairie Village (north Johnson County). So if you're in the Johnson County area, or south Wyandot County, I freakin' PROMISE I can find somewhere for us to meet and grab some coffee/tea/time away from our respective families.

First, I can actually get along very well with most people: I've had friends in nearly every political circle you can imagine: from communists to nazis to everyone in between. I don't judge people by how they perceive the world and the conclusions they come to about it--since they're free to disagree with me on as many issues as they wish. I judge people based on how they treat me and my friends; I judge them by their actions and not their ideology. I imagine, being [I suspect] fairly close in age and with a good amount of common interests, we'd actually get along very well. I can get heated when I talk politics, but it rarely [if ever] becomes a personal issue.
