That is a deeply disturbing view to have. In my opinion.
Mainly because, in my opinion, any earlier than 17, there's a really high chance that you aren't going to value it as much as you should, are not in a serious and meaningful relationship, and at any age younger than 17 there is absolutely no way that you can deal with the consequences if anything bad were to happen. I'm 17 right now, and haven't had sex, kissed or had any relationship so far. I doubt I will do any of it in the near future, and as I plan to, once I move away from my dad, live the rest of my life alone, as an odd, nerdy loner, bitter and cynical towards humanity, there's a good chance I will never experience any of them.

Chances are, one of them will also severely mentally abuse the other, and mess up the other persons life in other ways. (for example: spreading rumors, manipulating the other person's friends and relatives in order to get them to switch sides in the increasingly common conflicts, getting a child and, after a couple of years, start telling the child how terribly, terribly "evil" the other parent is and keeping the other parent from seeing the child, etc. also, judging from the experiences of my relatives and the people they know, it seems women are more likely to do things like these)

And then what do they do once they have played with the fire and gotten burnt and scarred for life? They repeat it from the beginning, over and over again. I can't say I feel sorry for them anymore. They should have learnt their lesson the first time.

Don't let that convince you they are all like that. They aren't. And were we not social creatures, humans would be living in large territories like bears, and getting together only to procreate. The answer to the first question is never. I'm a few weeks from turning 23.

The reason is basically a perfect storm of events. For one thing, I never recovered from the perception that I was a crybaby spaz in social circles from a disastrous first couple weeks of middle school; while I was a crybaby spaz, the fact that my father had recently died didn't really help me. So because I went to a rural school, I was basically stuck with that rep for the rest of my early childhood, which didn't help me with the ladies.

For another, my mother gyrated from being a true-blue Gloria Steinem feminist and an Augustinian Catholic. For example, when I was about nine or ten, I made the mistake of telling my mother about how I had accidentally touched a girl's butt. She knocked me across the room and screamed at me that I was a horrible pig who she wouldn't hesitate to throw out of the house if I kept up my ways. Needless to say, I developed a marked aversion to touching women. Her work with the sex ed wasn't so hot either. Basically, she gave me two brief speeches: the first was a vague speech when I was ten about how I may have some indeterminate feelings in the future, and I should feel free to act upon them, but she wouldn't tell me what these feelings were supposed to be. The second came when I was 15, when she asked if I was a virgin and then blurted out that I would be thrown out of the house and disowned if I ever got a girl pregnant.

So basically, between the girls at school who would have sooner screwed a goat than me and the mother from hell, I really didn't have much opportunity or inclination to develop very normally.

(for example: spreading rumors, manipulating the other person's friends and relatives in order to get them to switch sides in the increasingly common conflicts, getting a child and, after a couple of years, start telling the child how terribly, terribly "evil" the other parent is and keeping the other parent from seeing the child, etc. also, judging from the experiences of my relatives and the people they know, it seems women are more likely to do things like these)

And then what do they do once they have played with the fire and gotten burnt and scarred for life? They repeat it from the beginning, over and over again. I can't say I feel sorry for them anymore. They should have learnt their lesson the first time.
