Those of us who dissent were told by the uber-nationalists here to start our own thread. Then when we do that, the same uber-nationalists whine about all the "hate-America" threads!! As for our casualty figures, 1800+ might seem like a lot but it's nothing next to what we've lost in other wars... not a drop in a bucket compared to Vietnam, for instance. And in Vietnam, we didn't really accomplish a whole lot. At least in Iraq we've deposed a rotten dictator, gotten the Iraqi people their first free vote in 50ish years, etc. They have a long road ahead to become a stable democratic country, but they have the chance to become one because of the US and its coalition.

What does thast loine say to you? To me, it says they were looking only for facts that supported an already-decided-upon policy. And that any facts that did not support that policy were discarded out of hand...or were twisted until they did support that already-decided-upon course of action.

Maybe its because you're hypocrites, you're willing to tolerate everone, as long as they agree with you. Otherwise you call them ignorant, stupid, callous, or uncaring. Instead of accepting that perhaps you could be wrong, and taking an honest to goodness look at what you believe, and weighting the facts. I've done this many times, and the liberal side, ALWAYS comes up short, and fallible. You've yet to convince me of your arguments, but you have shown that you can be rather close-minded. Good luck on that one, because I doubt you'll ever change. Luckily, I can be tolerant enough to accept you, without calling you names, or using abrasive words. Nor do I feel the need to swear at you. Calling you a hypocrite isn't derrogatory, it's a fact. If you can't stand being called by accurate names, perhaps you should your attitude. Like the idea that other nations 'respect' America. They don't; they fear it. But in the minds of the masses, 'fear' being equal to 'respect', America is indeed the singlemost 'respected' nation on Earth.
