I can't believe Cincinnati cut it so close against the Browns! Why do they have to have a nailbiter against a team like that? They need their energy against the Chiefs at the end of the season!

The Pats kicked ass though! :)

They were playing Buffalo. It was no contest. Buffalo is well out of the playoffs and they suck.

Denver has Buffalo this week on Saturday at 8:30.

Don't bring me down like that. Besides, they can use confidence with the bad luck they've had this year. Pounding on a weaker team can prepare them for a rematch against the Colts and to beat them like they usually do.

I have nothing against this man personally but, in those 6 wins, mighty 37 year-old Brad Johnson has beaten the Lions twice, the Browns, the Rams and the Packers...hmmm. Not so difficult a task.

IMHO there is no way Brad Johnson leads the Vikings to the NFC Championship game. Playoffs, maybe.

Yes, and he had nothing to do with the win ove the Giants, I saw the game. NFC Championship? not bloody likely. Superbowl? not unless we all wake up in Bizzaro World. Playoffs is all I ask, and more than I'd hoped for when the season began.

I'd say the Bengals have a shot of jumping ahead. The Bills should be a snap and I'd say they can take Kansas City. The Broncos take the Chargers last I believe and I wonder how they will fare against them? They are gold after stopping Indy.

The Patriots too only have the Jets and Dolphins to face so I'd say two more wins are in order and they are a better team then they were at the begining of the season. I can only hope to see Patriots@Bengals in which case my true loyalties will have to come out.

Manning couldn't get it into the end zone against Seattle on the two drives he was in for. Made it down near the red zone only to get 1 field goal and a blocked kick. Indianapolis is done for I think. They should put Sorge in. That guy actually looked good. Anyway was a good game for the hawks to wind down the season. Appears that Indy is prone to the same mistake this year too. Check the Seahawks holding them down in the redzone twice. Only one FG made and the other blocked. I think Indy might fold like a house of cards against the AFC's best.

The only thing I am concerned with is that the New England secondary is still a little suspect, and Manning to Harrison is still Manning to Harrison. The Colts won't be able to rush Edgerrin James for more than 30 yards against the NE run defense, but they might still be able to pass against us.

He's "questionable" with a "left leg injury". To provide some comparison, Tom Brady has been "questionable" to "probable" the whole season, except for the game after the Buffalo game where he hurt HIS leg, where he was "doubtful" but still managed to start and play the whole game. Well watching the injury it didn't look that serious. He took several running steps on it before he went down, so it's not a tear or anything that would keep him off his feet. And it's entirely possible that they were just being extra cautious with him because they want to make sure he's nice and safe for the playoffs. It's not for Miami that they would want to hide his injury. It's for Jacksonville/Pittsburgh/Kansas City the week after in the playoffs.

Jacksonville is underestimated, the Patriots would have better just as well playing the Steelers. This is to the idea that Belicick actually lost on purpose to Miami just to play Jacksonville. Leftwich is an accurate passer. Granted he's not a whole lot different from a statue when he drops back, but statistically that Patriots Pass defense, as much as I'd like to see them mangle the Colts, is ass. Oh they've got plenty of excusses, and good ones at that. But (unless you're the Giants) you don't get spotted a handicap in the NFL.

If the Pats are going to win it, it's because Brady drug them across the goaline. The Pats wanted to win that game against the Fins. The Steelers are not as strong as the Jaguars. No matter how sweet dudes doing bee impressions are, or compelling the story leading to Jerome Bettis' 1st ballot HoF selection is, Jacksonville is one 1st class running back from the complete package. All they do is hang around and win in a humble manner. One can focus on the humble, but I would imagine focusing on the how of the "winning" would be where the opposition can showcase their wisdom.

I like the Pats in the game, but only because Brady is the quarterback of his generation.

I thought Marvin Lewis' reaction to it was most along the lines of how I feel. It should have been flagged, but that's football. Of course semi-obliquely calling Roethlesburger a "cry baby" was kind of classic too.

Only a couple more days until Seahawks send the last pretender home and prep for the NFC title game. So sweet. Quite the year in football.

I see a Seattle championship this year. They're really getting it right at the perfect time, and Alexander will not be denyed. Though it may seem like hometown prejudice, I don't see anyone beating Seattle if they keep gaining intensity like they did at the end of the season.

Carolina is pretty good too, but DeShaun Foster is far from consistant. And while their secondary is incredible, particularly in shutting down Primary recievers, as we Seahawks fans know all to well, Lucas isn't a shut down corner for all seasons. I can just see a situation where they can get Lucas on Jurevicious, and work a saftey with Stevens or Hannam. Joe catches the ball in front of Lucans planting him, if the line backer nearest the play can be dealt with that gets real ugly for Carolina real fast. It's hard to imagine things they could do to adjust their coverage that wouldn't introduce other weakness for the Seahawks offense to exploit. But Carolina is actually pretty poor vs slot WRs and TEs if memory serves.

Chicago is tougher defensively, but offensively, the don't scare anyone. They completely shut down slot guys and TEs now that their safties are 100%, but veterains can work their guys on the outside. And if an O-line can give their QB time, a fast guy like Hackett, or D-jack might be able to get behind their cover 2 with some regularity. I think teams have had some success running right at their weak side LB too. Now if only the Seahawks could be running team with a FB often praised for deliving punishing blocks..... Oh wait.

Given that we play any non-superbowl game at home, I like our chances vs anyone. But the Panthers and Bears certainly aren't pushovers.

I guess no one remembers the Panthers Vs. Eagles game of 2003.

Since Lucas wasn't playing in it, and that year's team didn't produce the weaknesses in this year's Panthers, I can't imagine the relevance of that.

AFC TITLE GAME SET

The AFC Title Game will feature the 6th seeded PITTBURGH and the 2nd seeded Denver at Invesco Field at Mile High Stadium.

The winner will go on to Detriot and the loser goes home but the coaching staff goes to Hawaii to coach the AFC in the Pro Bowl.

Good Luck to both teams!

The Patriots weren't on their game that night. Perhaps they needed a loss so they can come back next year healthier and stronger.

Tom Brady is mortal!!! Can't believe it!!!

The Revelance is that everyone thought the Eagles was going to win the game. But Panthers shut down the Eagles QB, and they fell apart. Carolina will do the same to the Seahawks. We'll shut down the major players and watch the teams fall apart.

Ahh yes. "The Redskins' solution." That was quite the show the Panthers put on "shutting down" a quarterback who's almost got almost a half season of games under his belt. That tricky Fox, trying to lull the Seahawks into a false sense of confidence. Pardon my skepticism, but I think it might be a little easier to write about domination than to accomplish it.

Time to think about next year! The Patriots are going to recover and come back strong! Their Super Bowl wins are not over! :)

They'll definitely recover, seeing that Brady was playing with a very bad back. But, the Steelers might just be on their way to yet another dynasty.

Not if they continue to play the way they played in that Super Bowl. Hines Ward was the only offensive player, Seahawk or Steeler, who had an actual good game. Everyone else was so mediocre.
