LP, you can't seriously be so naive and believe that people won't do things like murder and rape just because it's bad when they can get away with it

I don't know if you've noticed but they have these things called prisons, they're full to the brim of murderers, rapists, child molestors, etc, now lets imagine these prisons no longer exist, these child molesters and murderers would be walking around on the streets, they'd be free to kill and rape whoever they wanted to!

Except for the psychos I don't think many would kill/rape again. They could be placed in a mental home. But then again. What's preventing a prison being used in an anarchy?

If people can just get what they want without having to pay for it then why would they bother working? there'd be no doctors, no teachers, no mechanics, no plumbers, no engineers, no electricians, nobody to work in factories, nobody to build houses, you might be able to just get whatever you want but there wouldn't be anything to have anyway, it'd be like going back to the stone age

The other parties of the left (DSP, UDCP, RTP) are considering a coalition, in the hopes of forming a unified left-wing majority in Parliament. If it's going to work, we need all four parties of the left to take part, this one included.

It is not realisticly possible to get much further to the right than the Up yours party, the NS Classic Liberals are right of centre, The MRRP is a little less to the right. You have three right wing choices.

Congratulations. Now then, what about these three MP's we have to elect? Who shall they be? Do you nominate them, or do we vote for it? If so, I intend to throw my hat in the ring, so to speak...

Right. Here are the results of the Voting and the respective MP Seats:

NS Classic Liberals: 4.83 seats => 5 seats
Democratic Socialist Party: 4.86 seats => 5 seats
United Democratic Communist Party: 2.58 seats => 3 seats
"Up yours!" Party: 2.85 seats => 3 seats
Party of Whatever Works: 2.68 seats => 3 seats
Cult of TInk Party: 2.28 seats => 2 seats
NS Meritocratic Representative Republicans: 2.32 seats => 2 seats
Revolutionary Trostkyist Party: 1.16 seats => 1 seat
Mole and Other Burrowing Rodents' Alliance: 0.86 seat => 1 seat
Party of Order: 0.6 seat => 0 seat

The results with quorum gave a total of 24 seats. Subsequent rounding attributed one seat to MOBRA, for a total of 25 seats in Parliament.


Now then, we have two seats, which will have to be filled quite soon for Parliament. We are quite a minority party, but we can have a chance to dominate this Parliament. All we need to do is ally with either one of the 5 seats Parties, in which case I would suggest the Classic Liberals, or with two 3 seats Parties, which I would suggest to be the "Up yours!" Party, and the Party of Whatever Works.

Either way, and fo course with Tinks approval, we can dominate this Parliament, or at least become a significant power in it.

Yes, but you are a member of the party, and therefore represent it through your statements. Anyhow, I thought this was a political party, where all members share responsibility, not a blind following of Tink where her word is unchallenged sacrament, and the only opinion to be considered official by the outside world. Well Tink, I'd like to stand for one of the seats as MP - I'm not sure what the duties are, and my exams are in a few weeks, but I'd be honoured to serve as an MP if you wish so.

I'll fulfill my duties to the utmost of my abilities, and although time will initially be short because of my exams, after the end of June I shall be able to concentrate fully on the duties, whatever they maybe.

TInk, this party needs two MPs, and I can't see anyone better qualified or deserving to take one of them. The manifesto is mainly made up of your ideals, and you're the one who defended the party's policies in the debate during the election.

Simply a comment, as a member of the party. I would like to be sure that the party's MPs are going to be defending the party's manifesto, which is quite socially-oriented. I know you will, TInk, but I'd like to be sure Skinny will also - given that he has, after all, been advocating an alliance with the parties of the right.

I find it a great honour that I have been allocated one of the party's seats as MP, and I will defend the Party and its Manifesto to the best of my abilities. To address Arridia's question, I certainly believe in the Party; many of the manifesto points are ones on which I agree with in RL and hold dear to me. As for advocating alliances with right-wing parties, I firstly only made that as a suggestion for a possible National Government to take power, and would be just as happy to ally with left-wing or centrist parties.

The idea was just that, an idea - much like the Ribbentrop-Molotov Pact of 1939 - merely a ploy for power and for buying time...
