The Cult of TInk Party is very proud to announce that it is the first of all thirteen parties to have completed its full manifesto - the latter being, as required, at least ten full lines in length. And here is our manifesto, submitted with TInk's approval:


MANIFESTO

HRH FairyTInkArisen shall be recognised as the legitimate Queen of NS General. In addition, the Cult of Tink Party (hereafter COTP) submits the following official manifesto to consideration of the voters. The COTP aims hereby at tackling major issues of society, and providing a better living environment for all.

HEALTH
HEALTH SERVICE
There shall be a National Health Service available to all, free of charge. In this, we recognise, protect and enshrine the right to health as an essential right of all human beings.

ABORTION
Abortion, in the first term exclusively, shall be legal and free for any girl under the age of 16, any woman whose health would be compromised if she went through with pregnancy, and any victim of rape. In all other instances, abortion shall be legal for all (in the first term), but shall not be free, and the operation must, in addition, be undergone in a private hospital

EUTHANASIA
Euthanasia shall be legal but strictly controlled, and all cases shall be assessed on an individual basis.


HEALTH-RELATED SOCIETY ISSUES
CANNABIS
Cannabis shall be legal, but only on prescription for persons whose health would benefit thereby.

SMOKING
Smoking shall be banned in all indoor public places, this to protect individuals from the health risks and discomfort incurred via ‘passive smoking’. Pubs may, however, apply for a licence whereby smoking will be tolerated in their establishment; there shall be a limited number of such establishments in proportion to the number of residents in the area.

PROSTITUTION
Prostitution shall be legal, but strictly controlled by the government, which will ensure the protection of prostitutes and their customers through the means of regular tests for Sexually-Transmitted Diseases.


EDUCATION
Free education shall be provided to all, up to and including such instances of further education as nursery school and university.


THE ECONOMY
There shall be measures instituted to protect the rights of workers, including a decent minimum wage, and measures to prevent abusive lay-offs for reasons purely of increased profit.


THE ENVIRONMENT
The following measures shall be instituted to ensure the preservation of the environment:
- bus lanes, and free public transport
- compulsory recycling
- additional taxation on industries that pollute, proportionally to the gravity of the pollution they're causing
- the phasing out of fossil fuel-based energy, in favour of cleaner energies, such as wind power and solar panels
- discouraging companies from wasteful packaging of goods, through additional taxation on packaging
- introducing re-usable plastic bags, and making customers pay for the excessive use of plastic bags

**Canabis Legal but only on prescription for those whose health would benefit from it (i can't remember what illnesses it helps)

**Prostitution Legal, but strictly controlled by the government with regular testing for STDs

**Smoking Banned in all indoor public places

EDIT: pubs can apply for some kind of smoking license (like they have to get a license to sell alcohol) and there will be some kind of ratio of number of people in an area to the number of pubs allowed to have a smoking license

that's all i can think of right now, let me know what you wanna add something or think your ideas in certain areas are better, and i'm gonna need someone to write me a good manifesto

that's because the NHS is Britain is badly run, if you want an example of how this works maybe you should take a look at Sweden, and everyone has the right to healthcare whether they can afford it or not, anyone who doesn't like the governtment funded health service and can afford it is entitled to opt for private healthcare

Therefore, education starts at age 4 = 208 and runs to age 18 = 936 years old.

Human ages 4-16 would be the time when babies learn to walk, talk, and sit up. And I don't think they need to go to school to do that. :D

As for policies, well I've always been for much harsher penalties and the curtailing of the appeal system, as I see it as a waste of time; criminals should serve the time they were given. I also wonder if the Death Penalty should be introduced for particularly heinous crimes such as Genocide, Murder and Paedophilia.

As for the Armed Forces, a huge increase in budget to reinstate the British military to its former glory, and conscription for a year; when a teenager reaches 18 they must do a years conscription before going to Uni, College or a Job.

I did, the thing is, if you are willing to provide free education and such, then your govt. should be willing to suppliment the regulations it imposes on private citizens, to the degree that if there is a compromise such as installing the equipment to re-cycle the air in a pub or bar, which ever is the case and the establishment wants such equipment then it shiould be helped out by the govt.

Something that could be considered is how much business is the bar going to lose by going smoke free, and is the govt. going to regulate smoking out of doors also. Recycled air is filtered so not going right into the atmosphere, smoking outdoors is unfiltered, and is being added to the pollutants already in the air. BTW: I'm no environmentalist either.

i agree with criminals serving the time they were given, however there's no way in hell i'll go for capital punishment, murderers and paedophiles deserve to spend the rest of their lives in jail thinking about the awful things they've done rather than getting the easy way out.


as for conscription, i'm not entirely against it but i do think you're going about it the wrong way. How does this sound, all men must do a years conscription at some point between the ages of 18 and 30, that way they can go to uni or do apprenticeships or whatever and they can learn new skills which could benefit them in the forces, for example, someone who wants to be a doctor would probably be a lot more use to the forces after they've done their degree and qualified

I did, the thing is, if you are willing to provide free education and such, then your govt. should be willing to suppliment the regulations it imposes on private citizens, to the degree that if there is a compromise such as installing the equipment to re-cycle the air in a pub or bar, which ever is the case and the establishment wants such equipment then it shiould be helped out by the govt.

Something that could be considered is how much business is the bar going to lose by going smoke free, and is the govt. going to regulate smoking out of doors also. Recycled air is filtered so not going right into the atmosphere, smoking outdoors is unfiltered, and is being added to the pollutants already in the air. BTW: I'm no environmentalist either.

i agree with criminals serving the time they were given, however there's no way in hell i'll go for capital punishment, murderers and paedophiles deserve to spend the rest of their lives in jail thinking about the awful things they've done rather than getting the easy way out.

as for conscription, i'm not entirely against it but i do think you're going about it the wrong way. How does this sound, all men must do a years conscription at some point between the ages of 18 and 30, that way they can go to uni or do apprenticeships or whatever and they can learn new skills which could benefit them in the forces, for example, someone who wants to be a doctor would probably be a lot more use to the forces after they've done their degree and qualified

Well, my opinions are those I've put in answer for the UDCP, but feel free to use them as well if you want. ;) I think religious schools should be allowed, but should not receive public funding since religion is a private, personal matter. Also, we could make sure that religious schools teach their children understanding of other faiths and cultures.

Ah, don't complain. :p The UDCP is an increasingly distant fourth; we've dropped below 10%, and are still falling.

The COTP is one of the only three to have hit the big twenty vote mark, and seems to be safely in third place at least.
