huh?
Simple enough when you broke up how did he behave?
I don't like being alone though :(
And? Most people don't. I don't. But I like hurting nice people much less. I like ending up in bad situations much less. I like messing up people's lives much less (yes, you have that power). Again I say, expect more and you will get it.

I've been single for 16 years and I've adapted well (hint: I'm 16 years old).
I can't help but think that your desperation for a boyfriend is foolish at best.
If you do like him, why on Earth did you say:
You seem confused as to your feelings for this man. Confusion does not breed the best relationships, from what I can tell.
Again I say, do not do it FairyTInkArisen, it will only end in heartache.
but i'm lonely, i like hugs and kisses and cuddles and i havn't had any in so long :(
I am confused about my feelings for him, i do really like him, he was really sweet and lovely when we were going out but then when i tried to finish it he was just annoying and pathetic

I don't like being alone though :(
But do you like the idea of waking up one day and realising you have made a major error of judgement?
You are 18 years old*, for goodness' sake! Go back to this man, and who knows what may happen! You are just throwing yourself at the first man who comes near, at a critical time in your life! Not good!
*I think

No wonder you are confused.
I'm willing to bet either Sweet and Lovely or Annoying and Pathetic is a facade.
The question you must ask is: which is the real him?
If you look at AaP, it doesn't look good.
Is AaP the real him? If yes, don't do it! If no, then why did he act like the way he did? Most likely, the real him is a Cunning and Devious Bastard trying to win you back. Not good
If SaW is false, then don't do it! Because if it is false, he must be a CaDB. If SaW is the real him, why did he act like a jerk towards the end?
Either way it isn't good.
But you know the man better than I do*. You must decide for himself.
*Probably. Since he is in Scotland, maybe I know him. Scary...

Two months? What so odd, or wrong about that? Are you one of those low-self esteem relationship addicts who needs a partner (not even necessarily a good one) to be happy?

If you think it's going to be a long-term relationship, go right ahead. However, if you think it's likely that you'll break up with him again, I wouldn't recommend it - you would just end up going through all this again.

Speaking from personal experience, I can say that I was quite annoying and pathetic when the girl I love up and decided it was over between us. I couldn't understand why, and she never did a very good job explaining it either, giving me the impression that she didn't really understand why herself, she was just scared and wanted out.
I could recognize how annoying and pathetic I was being and that I was more than likely just further driving her away from me, but I couldn't help myself, and I only ended up hating myself all the more for that. When you sincerely love someone it can be hard to accept and let go. Though to be fair, for quite a while, she was just as deeply in love with me as I was with her (we spoke constantly of marriage, sex, our plans for the future, what we'd name our children, etc), but now and again, expressed fears that she may in fact get scared and want out, which makes it harder for me to just let go. It took me about two months to pull myself together and give her some space and time to think, but I'm still hopeful that we can get back together, especially considering not too long ago, she suddenly messaged me nitpicking over the spelling of the middle name we had picked out for our first born daughter for no apparent reason...

Erm... In this instance, I honestly think it would be asking for trouble. Say "yes", and you'll never get rid of him. You'll be sending him the message that, if you break up again, all he'll have to do is come back and insist. And insist. And insist. And insist. Until you cave in.
So I would strongly advise against it... unless you're sure you'd be willing to enter a long-term, serious relationship with this guy. But if it's just to avoid being lonely, then it's probably more trouble overall than it's worth.

Beer!

Cocktails!
Jelly!
Sounds like a good time.
And a large hangover...
For the hangover there is something that I've heard works;
Fry some square sausage, bacon and a potato waffle.
Place the sausage on top of the waffle, with the bacon on top of the sausage.
Grate some mozzarella (sp?) cheese, and sprinkle it on top of the bacon.
Pop it under the grill for 30 seconds to melt the cheese.
The resulting...thing...is supposed to help alleiviate the sypmyoms of hangover.
I don't know if that works (probably does, even if all you do is vomit the alcohol out of your system), but in a non-hungover situation it tastes nicer than you'ld expect.
Provided you aren't a vegetarian.

A bateau-mouche is a boat, mainly for tourists, that takes you on a trip on the Seine; you get to see all the sights along the banks of the river (quite a few of them!), with a commentary by a multilingual guide.
They operate at all hours, I think, so in the evening you have the added bonus of seeing Paris by night, including the Eiffel Tower all lit up...

Thank you.
I thought it was a type of desert, to be honest.
I never was good at French in school.

Well, once you're here I can pay some things for you if you're short on money. :p
Plus, as I said, if you can come over in autumn, I promise to visit you some time after that. And I'd be coming specially to see you, whereas you'll get to visit Paris - with a native guide. :p
:fluffle:
i'll just have to save up for the plane/train journey then
Thank you.

I'll still be here for a while yet if you need someone to talk to.
Or some more esoteric wisdom.

*sigh* i hate it when other people are right
You don't remind me of Papa Don't Preach so much as the guy in the song No Other One by Weezer.
What about :D
Piecing together my words to make statements; you're worse than Michael Moore! Is masturbation really a hobby when everyone does it?
that it wouldn't be a good idea to see him again
i'll just have to get used to cuddling my teddy :(
You've made the right decision. Just don't get into thinking that you'll always be alone. If you think that, then it will become true.
Don't say such things.
I'm the one most likely to never find anyone.
:headbang: What did I just say??!! (see above)

I'm 34, you're still allowed to be funny but you have to incorporate more old man jokes. Didn't you get the "So, you're not a young adult anymore" brochure?

Bah, I'm still a young adult. I claim that title for six more months as I think it is perfectly acceptable to date anyone not a teenager (20 and older). When 20 becomes too young then I will let young adult go. Adults regularly live to be 90+ in my family. If I have to change my 'title' every five years, it's going to be a long 60+ years.

Actually you get to keep the adult title for 30 years. Then it's on to "Senior Citizen" for another 40. After that it's "Venerable." Geez! It's all in the manual they gave you!
You are now in the unique and enviable position of being able to date not only that 20 year old hottie, but also her mother. Enjoy!
