I am a liberal/Democrat, and so one would think I would be the one that people would be fighting, but nope. I just wasn't clear enough with you. I meant death threats; I figured people would have scrums, fights, brew-hahas over politics, cause people are crazy like that. To me, the pen/keyboard is mighter than the sword.

I was trying to find the video of that Kerry supporter who punched a Bush supporter right in front of a cop, but couldn't. :(

Homosexuality is a choice. You choose to be gay. You let your temptations get the better of you and now you're paying for your sins. I don't have to accept that you're gay just the same as you don't accept women as attractive sexually. It's all a choice. You're choosing the wrong path. The people that give death threats or says "Jesus hates faggots" are on the wrong path also. If it's any consolance, anyone who says anyone will go to hell will be met with the same judgement from God. Tell them, based on their own faith: "Judge not lest thee be judged thyself. Condemn not, lest thee be condemned. For what measure ye judge on another ye also will be judged."

The reason homsexuality is a sin is because marriage is not only defined in the bible as man with woman because that's how God created people, but also sex in any way shape or form, hetereosexual or homosexual alike, outside of that holy union of marriage is a sin and will be met with spiritual death (hell). Another thing I want to stress, 'breaking' that holy union is also met with spiritual death.

On a lighter note, here's a joke. As we all know, God created man and woman. She ate of the fruit and tricked Adam into eating it also. Woman's punishment was pain and worry. She was doomed to have pain from menstrual stuff and labor pain, etc. That was her punishment. Do you know what man's punishment was? Putting up with woman. That's why God doesn't approve of homosexuality cause they found a loophole in the system....

That's the only gay joke I know. Conservatives that argue against Gay marriage are usually hypocrites who treated the holy union between man and wife as welcome mats of their own agenda because most have been divorced at least once. People who have any sort of sex before marriage are hypocrites if they're Christians.

I want you to know not all people who claim to be Christians are. Most are spiteful, judgemental, hateful, all things Jesus claimed to be. God doesn't hate anyone, he hates sin. You sin. You are the one that will decide whether or not you go to heaven, not God. No one has the right to tell you waht to do, but we do have the obligation to tell you it's wrong and the reasons why. If no one has sat down and read scripture to you about why it's wrong are not doing good in God's eye. He said in His word we're all ministers of reconciliation which means we have to essentially study the bible and have enough spiritual knowledge to preach to others about it. That doesn't mean cast judgemen ton people and those who have passed judgement are wrong and aren't Christians. They will not be accepted by Jesus.

Wait till you get older. Regardless of your sexual orientation, there's more that's going to happen in life. Regardless of sexual orientation, the following can happen:

1. Someone (or multiple someones) will kick your ass so hard you'll be in the hospital. And it's usually personal, but not because you're gay. It will happen for no real reason.
2. Your lover and long time friend will cheat on you, lie to you, and then leave you (this usually happens many times, so get used to it).
3. Financial ruin. You can be as careful as you like, but this usually happens in conjuction with item 2, especially if you're married. Marriage is not everything that fun and great.
4. Humiliation at work - your boss will force you to grovel on a daily basis just to keep your job, and just to stroke his ego, or you'll lose your job.

The list goes on, as doesthread ^_~ life. If you're going to fall apart just because you think that people hate you because you're gay, try going through life with people hating you because you're not white.

Life is hard. It doesn't get any easier - it just gets harder and harder and harder - and soon you won't be able to find a reason for anything.

People are disowned by their family for more reasons than your sexual orientation.

There's no law against being disowned by your family. Even if they accepted your sexual orientation, they could still disown you for what you might perceive to be a ridiculous reason.

But there's precious little you could do about it.

This is bullshit. IF you experience an injustice, its better to get it out in the open, even when its on a forum. Some people, unlike you NoF, choose not to supress their emotions and become a neurotic wreck. Your methods of dealing with your legion problems (which I've heard expounded on this board SEVERAL times now) are probably not recommended. Admit it, you, are hardly an expert on recovery from adversity.

Why the hell not? this is a community of inteligent people (with some exceptions) whose opinions are being saught. What, exactly, is your problem?
And those several times you will notice have all been consistant, and have been prompted by someone asking. This is the first time it was unexpected.

I will admit, I am a bit of a wreck psychologically, but it does put a whole new edge on my life. The people I know in real life are really quite shocked that something like this had happened to me, with the way I act.

My name is Robert and im 18. I live in southern Ohio and apparently I am a disgusting piece of filth who is doomed to hell. Why? Because I am a homosexual. Around the age of 10 I began to notice other boys. I found myself aroused by them and not by girls. At this age I had to go with my grandma to church because she had to watch me on Sundays. I would every now and again hear her or her church members talking about how people who are attracted to the same sex will go to hell if they don’t renounce their ways. I even remember going through a drive through with her once asking “Do gay people go to hell moma?” and her reply “Yes, unless the renounce their ways.” So here I am at the age of 10 wondering why god would hate me for something I couldnt help?

Now Im 18, and I don’t believe in god, but I still feel hated. People all around me are acting as if people like me are disgusting vermin to be killed or isolated. People are trying hard to deny me the right to marry. Only two years ago I became so depressed with all of the hate around me I tried to kill myself. It hurt and it still does. Now I have found someone who I have been with for little over a year now and who I love very deeply. I’ve never loved anyone....even found it hard to love my family, but this person I hold very dear and im scared to death, that I wont be able to marry them....at least in America. Why does everyone hate me? I just want to love and be loved........

Oh no your life is a mess. Boo hoo. Get bloody used to it. You arent the only ones with problems or the only one who society dislikes. Quite a few straight people suffer that problem too for various reasons. The only way you can ever win is by not writing self pitying rubbish like this and getting on with your life without caring. Don't care what they think. Dont care what your family thinks. Dont even care about what your beau thinks. Just bloody well care what you think because otherwise you will be driven mad. Society is a nagging group of neigh sayers, fools and bigots. What these people that call us names (and other religions that say we are wrong) are called "closed-minded". They think that what they or their religion thinks is right, and no matter what, they will always hate us, even if we saved their lives several times over. I don't let it get to me. What I'm trying to say is don't listen to it! It makes you seem pathetic in the long run. I get taunted because I'm bisexual (as mentioned) and I'm like "Woohoo you're a f***ing dumbass!" Don't let it get to you, and for the record, don't go on drivelling whining sprees like this. It makes you seem worthless to people who don't know you and makes your friends think you're embarassing.
