My favourite glen fiddock is the 15yr solera. I think thats better than the 18yr ancient, although Ive never tried the 32 year old.

Yeah, there are such great similarities and yet such differences between both. I mean, many schools are longsword can be seen to have similarities to kenjitsu and others. Both east and west have such varied close combat and wrestling techniques its quite amazing...I sometimes wish we hadn't utilized gunpowder so greatly so the western arts would be more well known...oh well!

Just because you lost doesn't mean that the art is inferior though...there are no inferior arts, only inferior users of those arts (of whom i happen to be one! :D ) but I agree to conquer the East, in such conflicts as the Opium Wars, gun powder weapons were a definite advantage.

I want to take lessons in Kendo, I think. I don't know the difference between all the different martial arts, and am very interested in them. Fencing has always interested me, but I want something in the line of self defense (or offense as it may be)... I'd love to learn a martial art w/a Katana, however, I don't think that's feasable...

Can anyone, briefly, list some martial arts and define them for me? Just quickly... I have no time at the mo... gotta get my mocha and do 1/3 of a semester of a class... lectures, reading, notes, exam... all today!
