Well, basically, the Red Virus was actually a strain of the flu virus that somehow made it to the surface, and mutated into a carnivorous plant of a sort. It started in the oceans, and soon mutated into a land-borne plant. The plant soon covered the entire planet, giving it a dark red appearance, because the plant itself was dark red, hence the name. It took a few days to finally get rid of it. However, some plants managed to escape, and grew into a life-sized Red Virus plant in the pool. I struck it with lightning from the storm that was overhead, and Red Virus set fire. After it died, I teleported the remains to Jupiter--just in case.

Those poor jupitonians....Oh well there problem now ^^
