This thread was inspired by Randomea's thread 'the newb thread'. Here you can introduce a newb to the rest of the NS posters. Then, hopefully the newbs will feel more at home and they will engage in more conversations.

I would like to introduce Oscarina, Hylian Peoples, and Faschistos.

Oscarina has already been here for a week or so. She has already spoken to a lot of the posters. She is very smart and nice. She likes to engage in a lot of the debates, especially ones about boobs.

Hylain Peoples is a Russian boxer. I am already intrigued by that imformation alone. I can't wait to see what else he tells us.

Faschistos is a brand new poster. I don't know much about him but he/she is very nice and likes the word uber. I think that he/she is also German. (I'll have to find out about the gender.)

Ah, our collecting of data went terribly wrong. First not all our data came back. Then someone in our group *looks round suspiciously* counted some girls as guys so we had to pretend they were guys. Then none of our data added up so we had to swap it all around and make a load of stuff up. Then we realised we didn't have a question which shows continuous data so we had to make one up and make up all the results. We only got all that done by last Friday and I had to type up all our results in the lesson. Then the stuff printed off wrong... think our group is cursed :(

And now I have all this work to do but I can't drag myself away from the pc! Argh!

Suzzane Vega (a poetic songwriter with soft guitar backing), Children of Bodom (a heavy thrash metal band), Stevie Wonder (hard to describe, soul singer kind of), Gary Moore (blues guitarist), KMFDM (Industrial band), Thou Shalt Suffer (neo-classical ambient band), Steve Vai (guitar virtuosso), Hendrix (classic rock/blues guitarist), Yes (70s prog band), The Eagles (country rock I think), Explosions In The Sky (experimental), Dream Theater (prog band), Opeth (extreme prog band varying from soft acoustics to heavy screamo), Santana (latin american rock), John Williams (classical guitarist), Coldplay (pop), Alice in Chains (rock/grunge), Snow Patrol (indie pop), Earth Wind and fire (70s disco..don't ask)..... I think that about covers my eclecticness.

Blackwater Park is the only albumn I have, twas my birthday on Monday though so muaha shall be buying more :D They are extremely talented, that guy's such a great singer :eek: A friend of mine introduced me to another metal band, and although it was good, the singing just didn't compare.

Snow Patrol and Coldplay are probably my least favourite from that list- when you start listening to more stuff mainstream bands become kinda bland, but I do kinda like them and thought I'd show the varying extremes of my taste :p

Crowbar are grindcore and depressingly excellent (song titles like "Existance Is Torture lmao :p ). Mortician are grindcore but not v good imo, and "Fuck... I'm Dead" are fully 'core but shiter. the last two stop being music and become noise :(
