I have been married for 10 years, My marrige is good because I work at it. It has value because I value it, not because some church or government says it is special.

I am hetero, but my best friend in the world is gay, and it makes me sick to think that people like you who don't even know him have the audacity to tell him that he has no right to fall in love with the person of his choice and marry him. Every single day, I hear the sneers at him about how he's a "disgusting faggot who should be castrated", and I wonder about why some people have nothing better to do than worry about other people's sexuality.

This article makes me question if even the most DEVOUT gay couples that ran out and got a marriage license ASAP cannot even withstand a short term marriage, what makes them able to withstand a civil union? This would cause a disaster of paperwork and expenses, transferring those rights every couple of months when ever they found a new partner. The US cannot stand for this.

Look, how is anything perverted except by comparison to a persons moral code. If somebody's moral code is based on a God in which they believe exists. Then they are perfectly right in supplying evidence which to them is true. Our values in life can only be measured against the moral code you choose for yourself. Because everybody has a different moral code, you are bound to have different views on what is proof and what is not to back up a statement. It neither is or is not perverted on it's own. The bible says nothing about gay marriage, only about gay sex. So in any case, Gay Marriage ought to be legal from a Christian Standpoint. And in case I'm wrong, I'm fairly certain that the bible does say anybody who believes in Jesus will be saved. So even if it were a Sin, it's a small transgression easily over looked in the eyes of God for a follower of Jesus. That being said, I agree that all the Christians opposing gay marriage are being bigots. But at the same time, all the people slandering them for their points of view are bigots as well. Yeah, I came into this really late... but...

Look, how is anything perverted except by comparison to a persons moral code. If somebody's moral code is based on a God in which they believe exists. Then they are perfectly right in supplying evidence which to them is true. Our values in life can only be measured against the moral code you choose for yourself. Because everybody has a different moral code, you are bound to have different views on what is proof and what is not to back up a statement. It neither is or is not perverted on it's own. The bible says nothing about gay marriage, only about gay sex. So in any case, Gay Marriage ought to be legal from a Christian Standpoint. And in case I'm wrong, I'm fairly certain that the bible does say anybody who believes in Jesus will be saved. So even if it were a Sin, it's a small transgression easily over looked in the eyes of God for a follower of Jesus. That being said, I agree that all the Christians opposing gay marriage are being bigots. But at the same time, all the people slandering them for their points of view are bigots as well.
