Yes. Depending on the circumstances. I don't mean to offend anyone who knows someone that commited suicide. Please know that.

What about those who have considered/attempted suicide? Or are we allowed to be offended?

It is cowardly. No one should be 'allowed' to be offended.

Are you starving? Freezing? In some sort of unbearable physical pain? If you are, then fine. Otherwise, suck it up....I really don't get how people can be bummed about nothing.

It is because chemicals in their brains are imbalanced.

Not a flaw of character or anything else, no less a sickness than diabetes or gout.

suicide is the most cowardly release of emotion and the only one who wins is the killer.

Would you say the percentage of depressed people has been the same throughout history and in all parts of the world?

I don't buy it. People have too much time on their hands. Get a hobby.

Uh... I would say that it has actually been the same (or similar) throughout history... not all over the world... but can you point to another illness that is totally uniformly spread over the globe? In the past it was diagnosed as 'melancholy', and many people died younger, before they reached the point where suicide became the option of choice.

Your opinions clearly show you have no actual experience with people suffering from depression.

And you don't need to 'buy it'. It's fact, just fact that you can't understand unless you live with it.

Oh, and if you hate listening to people complain about being depressed, a good rule of thumb is to *not* insult them... one less thing for them to complain about and all...
