Okay, this is to the Japan-o-philes who are under the impression that all Japanese high school girls are super hot, super horny, and super into foreign guys. This is the truth, as only I (and Kisarazu) can explain to you.

Fact 1: For every hot Japanese girl, there are 9 not hot Japanese girls.
Yes, this is a fact. We would all like to think that they are all so hot that just looking at them makes you jizz your pants, but it's just not true. You go to Japan, and sit in one spot, and just watch. For every hot girl, 9 un-hot girls will pass you.

Japanese girls in high school just don't have sex. They just don't. There are maybe 2 in my whole school that have seen a penis, and only one of them has gone farther than a handjob, I'm sure. They spend too much time at an after-school activity, or shopping. It's hard to believe, I'm sure, but you won't get laid here.

Fact 4: Foreign guys=look, not touch
True, you may get some nice looks, maybe even a phone number. Don't expect to get much further though. This is the extent of the play you're gonna get. Enjoy it though; feel good about it, but remember that you're a joke to them, not a hottie.

In my fairly broad experience in Japan, and of the Japanese I would agree that Lithuanighanistania's statements hold true for the majority. In a city near where I was living there was a bar well known because it was where high school girls would go to pick up guys, and as one might expect it was well patronised by foreign blokes. May I also note that this set up benefits especially sleazy foreigners as Japanese High School girls generally prefer older men. If Lithuanighanistania was at high school as a high schooler he may well not have knowingly encountered the type of girl in question. Personally, I never liked many high school girls as in general they were giggly and annoying. They get better later on though.

Further evidence of the innacurracy of Lithuanighanistania's generalisation follows:

1) In the movie the Ring two of the first victims died when they were about to shag. No Japanese that I have watched the movie with has ever thought that there was anything even slightly odd about this.

To continue, most of what you say is true, in Tokyo. As I have stated, Tokyo is not part of Japan. It is a city from a western culture that was flown in with several million helicopters, had the signs repainted, and was stuffed with all of the trash that Japan could find.

To conclude, the prostitution thing was a problem. Was. They got that mostly under control after high school girls started showing up dead in alleys and sewers and (topical and recent), refrigerators dumped in Niigata's harbor. Now the worst they do is let old men feel them up in karaoke boxes so they can buyhand bags, makeup, hair dye, and tanning lotion.

Yum, Indian chicks. The lighter skinned ones are usually hella fine, though a lot of the darker ones aren't half bad. Some Middle Eastern chicks are hella fine, like Sarah Bell (she's Persian). What I said was true of where I lived, and is still true there, and that was Kumamoto, about as far removed from Tokyo as you can get.

Nextly, when I was in Japan in September last year the issue was in the papers again, and was on BBC quite recently. New legislation was being proposed to attempt to deal with the issue, and may have been passed by now, but they wouldn't have to legislate if it wasn't still a problem.

Indeed. Though I have noticed an odd thing after I moved from the South to the Midwest. For whatever reason, I notice that on average, the size of the chest and buttocks on women is smaller here than in the South. That surprised me. I figured that there wouldn't be any difference, but there is.
