i dont intend to stay in Texas after schools done. only things down here are ranch homes and stuff. and iv been known to have a good eye for interior design.
Is that right? Well, picture this: standard sized full basement. Pool table, Sauna, Entertainment Center (TV, Stereo, basics) Sofa, Love Seat. (I just moved in here less than three months ago) The flooring is Astroturf. Looks, well, green, and is nice for practicing my putting, but is really tacky. The walls are worse...some kind of corkboard stuff. And the ceiling is unfinished...just open two bye's. Need help...

hm... kinda depends on what you wanna spend. if you feel like ripping up the turf and putting in some carpet, then thats cool, but i think it adds a bit of color to the room.
first i would suggest finishing the cieling and painting it white.
before i go any farther, what color is the couch?
The couch and love seat are very neutral...off white I guess. They are also cheap and easily replaced. The ceiling HAS to be finished and the floor HAS to be carpeted. What is a good downstairs kind of carpet? Same as anywhere else? It would be high traffic, especially around the pool table.
And I don't want to go cheap. Nor do I want to break the bank. I want best bang for the buck.

alright. id go with a bashe (sp) mid-length carpet, ditch the sofa and love seat for a futon chair and big bean bags. then id paint the walls a tealish green. maybe sponge some white or blue on top of it.
