For all ye that enjoy a good superhero/supervillan RP, and that are well knownst among this circle, I bid you great news.

O.K, that was a little over the top, but it is true. [NS] Wooshaba (Woosh), Breitenburg (Breit), and myself, King Arthur the Great (KATG, or Arty) are starting up another superperson RP. Please note, that while we will be welcoming back the NJLU-ers, this is a new universe, new continuity, new dimension, etc. Call it what you will. As per recommendations by Woosh, and my immediate consent to such a brilliant idea, both Marvel and DC continuities will be treated as fiction in this RP. IE: NJLU is going to be a critically acclaimed comic strip about the new face of DC, and we'll work another new comic strip about next generation Marvel characters, etc.

The backstory: As is ever the case, Human DNA has been altering. However, due to a recent period of Soalr activity, certain genetic sequences have manifested traits never before believed to exist in this world. At first, it appears to simply be people becoming more of what they are, but it soon becomes apparent that affected individuals have changed in more ways than one. Some can fly, others see things far away or through brick walls. Some can alter their shapes or control water. Amid all this, public opinion becomes varied and divided. Some want these people rounded up. Others want them registered. Some feel that the willing should be trained by the government for protection against other threats. In all, a term once thought to apply only to the comic books now applies in a very real sense: Superheroes, and in turn, Supervillains.

Most of the spots are reserved for former NJLU players, though new members can join based on a TG to either Woosh or Arty. For all players, we ask the following simple guidelines:

No god-modding, for Pete's sakes!

Proper grammar is very important. There'n ain't none other way to destroy an utherwise gud RP, exceptin one or too thangs that i be forgittin. Yah be diggin' whaz i's beez sayin?

We ask that IC thread posts be kept sig-free. They're fine in OOC comments, but it sucks to have "The Infernal Grand Empire of (such and such) is currently at war with the pathetic weaklings of (somebody else that we honestly don't care about) right after character dialogue. This rule is easier than simply selecting the sigs we don't want and allowing the rest.

Oh, and if you can't make the commitment, we ask that you leave the spot open for another person. We're planning on putting some major effort into this, we ask that those who join can appreciate that and put in some of their own, that way we all can enjoy ourselves. Remember, the more you put into this, the more you get out.

You can post, but be warned, that for elements, its more properly divided into the Hurricane (sky and storm), the Volcano (Earth and Fire), The Ocean (Water and Ice) and the Forest (Plant and Animal). You can post, but there are two things you need to know about:

1) watch the power levels. If together they are unbeatable, then make sure that their individual aspects are rather defeatable.

2) Depending on the number of returning NJLU-ers, there might not be room. But that a very big "IF", and I don't foresee this as being a problem.

Having received a doctorate in astrophysics, he has spent his last two years stuying with NASA on radiation polarity inducement in cellular functions. Having been assigned to Antarctica, he was one of the first exposed to the radiation storm when it entered the atmosphere and penetrated through the Ozone hole.

Bio: guitarist for a popular local metal band. a brilliant lyricist and closest friend to angelina. many people think they arre dating, but it is unconfirmed. he is an emotional roulette game and has strange habits.

The two groups converged on the first day of high school and bonded immediatley. People don't understand their friendship because of their vast differences, but they write it off as a "natural" attraction.

The four discovered their powers on a camping trip to a nearby lake. Each have their own interpretation of the powers, but have yet to discover that together they form a power so great it is buried deep within. But first they must master the powers they are aware of.

They gather weekly at the lake to practice their powers, but have only tapped into their full potential.

The four are able to communicate telepathically with each other, but with no one else.

I'm kind of iffy on letting kids into this. As a rule, most kids are only accepted as side-kicks. Also, I have to ask about their abilities to work together. Do they combine powers often? Do they no how to do it, and in how many ways?

It mentions they don't know how as yet. Also replied Breit.

i wouldn't exactly call them kids, they're 16.

stop being such a stickler and loosen up. kids are more capable than you think. in fact a lot of times teenagers are used as characters in "superhero"-type roles.

it adds for an interesting effect.

they don't even know they can combine powers, yet. and combining isn't really the best word. Because it isn't a combination, but more of a separate power between them. it can only be used when they are together and completely aware of themselves. so, this probably wouldn't be introduced until much later into the RP.

remember, they must master they're pre-existing powers first. they are only beginners at that, and don't know why, or for what reason.

Bio: Robert Taylor grew up in a upper class in Deerfield, New Hampshire. He didn't see much of his parents as they were on various business trips. During this time he started his fascination with fire. Robert would set things on fire and start fires. He had an average life until one day a fire got out control. When he put his hands in front of the fire, it started to move back. That was the day he found out he had Pyrokinesis. Robert guessed now that he was a true Pyro. Two years later he finished high school and took sometime off before going to college. During this time Robert hoped that he could test his powers out when he traveled.

Canadestein, you're accepted. I don't think that your char is from NJLU, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Freed Civies, I've read through the edit. You hadn't specified how far they've gone, which was my main deal. However, you've addressed that, you're in.

Remember, most of the younger/emerging characters have their powers from DNA sequences that were activated by cosmic radiation. This is due mainly to the still present hole in the ozone layer, and the temporary depolarizing of earth's magnetic field. (Coaused in turn by pollution and undergorund nuclear tests by N.K.) I know, it sounds corny, but part of this RP will revolve around what was previously thought to be fictitious works of guys like Siegel, Shuster, and Lee. The how isn't the big deal here, it's the "what happens now" that will be answered.

bio: Orginally from Germany, his parents migrated to the United States when he was 12. Because his parents were farely wealthy, he has a superiorty complex. He was exposed to a severe amount of radiation when on a trip to Ukraine, he visited Chernobyl when it had a meltdown. (don't ask why he was there) However, his powers only surfaced at the age of 24 and he was captured by the government and brought to a secret faciluty where he was trained. The recent solar activity has only furthered his abilities, not even he knows what he can do now. Now he has been released in order to capture Metahumans that the government deams a threat.

Heculisis, I have a little trouble with that bio. beign captured four years ago doesn't sync with the radiation storm (if you care to stick him next to a powerplant, go ahead. Or that he found he had severely mutated DNA before any of this started.)

As for sigs, the first check box underneath the upper "Submit Reply" states "Show your signature." Simply make sure there isn't a check in that box. One mouse click. Again, though, that's for the IC posts.

HERE WE GO!!!!!!! A NEW AND PERHAPS BETTER superhero RP. I hope everybody is ready for this.

Glad to see you back Hype. You know that you were missed.

As King Arthur has already said NJLU will be considered a fictional part of this world, but don't fear for your old NJLU characters, a new and MUCH better NJLU story is coming. I promise you this. I am expecting to have it up by the second week of December. It will be interesting to see another set of superheroes outside of the NJLU come together and progress their powers and fight against evil. I will be co-managing this rp with King Arthur and Breitenburg. King Arthur is the final authority in this RP however as everyone can see because he is the creator. I am here more as resouce for DC Universe and Marvel Universe information. I know a lot about these things so anybody can ask me a question. I will be also be participating in this rp. I am currently developing my character. He will based off a major Marvel Universe character. Its good to be finally back in the superhero business.

Ender Leonhart, also known by his alias, Metallicon, is a powerful mutant human, endowed with the ability of Magnetokinesis, which results from an extremely high level of electrolytes in his blood.

Though Metallicon is one hundred years of age, his abilities have allowed him to maintain the appearance and body of someone about twenty years old. Those who meet him often mistake him for just another young man; that is if they are able to see his chiseled body, as he usually wears a black cloak and robe that cover his entire body. However, the cloak and robe also are used in tandem with his boots and gloves to allow him to fly; the cloak and robe and have fine amounts of durable metal woven into the fabric which allows Metallicon to manipulate them as he pleases.

Do you mean something like superhuman or superbeing, because both of those address superpowered villians and heroes.

@DMG: I don't think that your guy is going to fit in with guideline. In this story people are just starting to realize their powers. I am not sure how King Arthur would about it. If we do a scene in the rp where the event happens, and then your character realizes his powers and then an eighty time skip then it would work but I am unsure what King Arthur is going for.

@Kormanthor: I like your character. Can you give us more specific age please?

My bad, I just copied him from my factbook - I didn't actually mean he had to be one hundred at the time. I have no problem with this being the point in his life that he discovers the true extent of his powers (though he knew he was special already).

DMG, as to your char, with the edit of making him younger and more inexperienced, he's great. Rather Magneto-ish, but still welcomed in.

Kormanthor, your character's weakness is not the "thing you can't get right" but rather the thing that, when exploited, leaves you weak/dead. Plus, the list of powers far outways your weakness. I have hesitation b/c I fell that it may very well become a god-mod character. I have a "no-kill" policy, but even Mindtouch has his major weakness, namely, that he is borderline insane and thus his powers, in addition to burning him out, could very easily backfire.

I don't want to be pushy on this, but this is a "superbeing-born" RP, so the initial relative powers are going to be less than what we're used to in NJLU. How would a person deal with powers manifesting themselves in a way previously thought to be only found in Marvel and DC comics? Better yet, if you found out that you just developed the ability to shoot laser beams from your eyes, what would you do? That is the premise of this RP. Not to worry, though, future installments will be about defeating various enemies. But let's have fun with this one while we're here.

I hear all this limited (slight). Limited could mean like having nothing to having everything but one minor thing that was useless in the first place.

Ex) Not being able to reverse time by seconds or by not being able to stop time and beat everyone up while they are stopped?

Limited Telekinesis as in inability to lift a rock or the inability to crush the whole world with his mind?

That is a very good question. This limited thing is somewhat suspicious. King Arthur and Breit what exactly do you guys mean when you say limited or slight?

My apologies. Mindtouch's powers are limited in the sense that he can't lift things bigger than a Harley, and his telepathy is only effective within about a 1,000 foot radius. And he can be resisted. The deeper he pries, the less elusive his presence becomes, and the easier it is for a person to force him out entirely. Also, the voices he hears aren't always people around him, making him borderline insane, and thus he may overload his powers without realizing it very easily. This causes debilitating seizures/power burnout. While he can recover from a weakened condition, as he approaches his level of effectiveness, the voices become more and more forceful, and believable. He's not very powerful, but he is smart. I intended for the powers to be used in supplementation to his intellect.

As far as power progression goes, it varies by person, but Mindtouch, as a NASA scientist, will do tests on himself to try and determine just what is going on within himself.

History: Johnny was always on the wrong side of the law even from an early age. He spent a few years in juvenile detention for assault. He got out when he turned 18 and went right back to a life of crime. He'd always dreamed of being in a punk band. One day he discovered a mysterious guitar which caused him to be struck by lightning during a storm. His hair turns white whenever he uses his powers. The guitar is indestructable. With this new found power he struggles to realize what he has become and slowly gives in to its' temptations.

He wears a leather jacket with a lightning bolt on the back.

She lost her parents when their private plane crashed in the jungles of Africa. while search parties were looking for them, she shifted for the first time and hunted as a Tiger/man hybrid. Horrified at what she turned into, she avoided the rescuers searching for her (they found the bodies of her parents). After several months trying to come to grips with what she had become, she allowed herself to be found and rejoined society. however, now that the cat has been let out of the bag, it won't go quietly back inside.

Being that she is back among civilization, she has suppressed her "Wild Side" however, she's noticing that the beast within wants out and now she must find a way to cope with it.

Well, radiation can have very different effects on people, no matter the dosage, I think. Things can develop late in their life, or early.

Radiation can affect people differently.

Including what is called a Throwback mutation. Buried Recessive genes suddenly finding themselves in the dominant trait.

now I know this will be touching upon the idea of Myth vs Superpowers, but what if there were races of lycanthrops that did create the legends of Werewolves and other shapeshifters. However, they died out as their decendents interbred with normal humans. thousands of Generations caused the bloodline to be so thinned that it's basically extinct. untill the right mixture of Genes with the right dosage of Radiation (not necessarily solar, after all, we don't know her parent's history...) caused the once weak genes to manifest themselves in their daughter as a dominate trait. Because she knows nothing about her heritage (in fact, outside of legends, no one does) she has to discover her new place in the order of things.

I know it's not exactly what the op wants, but I thought it would be a nice twist on what he supplied.
Especially if the GM wants to go into the realm of someone with a power that cannot be so easily hidden or explained away.

Due to the fluke of genetics and biology, prior stellar contamination and the workings of blind luck, Ian survived thought drastically changed. As the accident had caused his mind to go partially comatose, when the decon team came to clean the lab up, his hind-brain took over and escaped him. Coming to almost a week later, he found he could manipulate body in all sorts of manners. This realization came about when he was walking at night and fell into a gorge, trying to avoid falling he flapped his arms like wings in a desperate attempt to fly, and found that they had changed sufficiantly to enable him to glide. Once recovering from the shock, he began experimenting to see what he could do as well as returning to regular civilization to see about getting a job and such not so he could resume a partially normal life.

Heading into the park, she opened up the case and took the instrument out. As she did a few pages of sheet music. Looking at them, it seemed to be Tartini's Violin Sonata in G minor, but different. Beginning to play it, she felt a thrill as the music was more perfect than it normally was. As she played, a urbane man with faint horns and a wiff of brimstone seemed to materialize in front of her, playing with her. what is the primary power? focus on that. what has webbing to do with shape shifting and change appearance? why climb walls when you can shape shift claws to do this. you seemt to be trying to build a Venom type hero.

Very difficult. not everyone carries liquid nitrogen or a flame thrower. if your ability is shapeshifting, why not make it you cannot hold a different shape for more than 4 hours. or if you lose concentration, you lose the shape?

My personal opinion is that their powers are too broad, whether refined or not, and the explanation of the music's effects is quite vague.

Name: Allen Jackson

Physical Description: 5' 11", 165 lbs, lean

Powers: Electrokinesis

Bio: Allen lived a quiet live in Champlain, New York, until at the age of 10 his family moved to New York City. His family moved into Queens and lived a quiet life. The only thing about New York Allen didn't like was the crime. These emotions were further intensified when his mother was killed by petty criminals, when he was 18. He tried to find the criminals who had done the crime. During one of the searches he finally found them, but was almost beaten to death. The thing that saved life was him finding his new powers. Allen easily defeated the criminals and almost killed the criminals, but remembered that him killing them wouldn't bring back his mother. Turning the criminals in, Allen knew that he should use his powers for good. The only problem is that he doesn't want to be branded as a freak or hunted down by the government. So he has done a few good deeds, but behind a ski mask.

Actually he's based more on Toxin(Venom's 'grandson' and Carnage's 'son' rather than any of the other symbiotes in the Marvel line). Unlike his inspiration, he is less prone to random violence and weaker to flame/heat/sonics/chill.

All things considered, it is surprisingly easy to make flame weapons, fairly easily from household supplies. I never said someone would be able to target his weaknesses in the first fight(or even after they figured them out without at least a little planning).

Physical Description: Blond hair and blue eyes. He is an attractive guy and was voted in high school “Most Likely to be Famous”. He has the body of a college athlete and he stands about 6 foot even.

Powers: Power Absorber; Enhanced Strength and Speed. Before acquiring his powers he was already was very smart. In college he studied psychology. He knows the human mind and how to exploit people’s weaknesses. He is very quick and charismatic. Nobody would expect him to a villain.

Weaknesses: Extremely high or low temperatures. In order for his power-absorbing abilities to work it has to be in moderate temperatures. As he gets closer to the polar caps or the equator his powers begin to diminish.

Background: He was born in Jacksonville, FL to a small family. At a young age his mother abandoned him and sent him to an orphanage. He struggled throughout life and tried to make things better for himself. Throughout high school he gained popularity for helping lead his football team to a state championship and for having many girls throughout the years. He was given a full-ride to Florida State where he played football and studied psychology. He was always interested in the human mind. He then began to experiment with drugs that altered the way people thought. He soon began everyone was out to get him and began lashing out at his professors and coaches. When his coach questioned him about the drugs, he lied and said it wasn’t true. His best friend Josiah Carter then ratted him out and told the coach to issue a drug test. Austin failed the test miserably and lost his scholarship. Austin then took some more mind-altering drugs and it made him become enraged. In his rage Austin shot and killed Josiah at his house in front of his little brother. Austin then tried to kill Josiah’s little brother, but he failed because the neighbors called the police because they heard the gunshots. Austin was tried for first-degree murder and pled that he was insanity. He was sentenced to spend the rest of his life in a crazy house. He lived in that crazy house for 16 years plotting to finish off the rest of Carter’s family and anyone who stood in his way. When the “Big Bang” occurred and he realized his powers he broke out of the prison and has been on the run ever since absorbing the abilities of random people still in search of the Josiah’s younger brother.

Actually, Blast, Woosh, and I are GM, that char is mine, however, since Woosh is co-GM-ing, he will be controlling the villain at my request (with me in tandem if he gets indisposed like my little brother, who now has a broken femur thanks to wrestling practice). Austin is Hades, our big bad guy for the thread (Yay!). Hence, he is what he is to drive the stroy.

JuNii, I just need you to edit your character according to our agreements in the TG's. Remember, I'm only asking for things that will affect both cats and humans, even if at different levels.

Now for the big debate on Theao's character. I'm going to ask that the webbing, blade/projectile use, and regeneration be toned down to a level of awareness, but preference to not use. I am very familiar with Toxin, and if you plan on having comparable levels of strength, agility, and speed, along with the wall crawling, then I need to ask the other powers remained somewhat underdeveloped for now. Also, I'm going to ask that the temperature range be shortened by 5 degrees Celcius on the top end (45+/30-). I know of the frequencies painful to Toxin, and the other symbiotes (to varying degrees), and, Theao, I expect you to keep it on par with your character's talents.

That being said, I am approving of Theao's character. There are some others whose manner of playing I am trusting, therefore, do not balk at the trust that I am putting in Theao. As far as I am concerned, I place my trust in you all. Understood and done. I wasn't going for full Toxin levels, but was using him as a basis. The web/blades/projections were going to be a 'weak-point' without being a weakness. Afterall, how many people would enjoying/be able to use it for more than emergancies, the losing of body-matter?

Bio:an orphin, Haruka, a Japanese born child was adopted by two American parents and grew up American. However, when puberty hit, she found herself starting to behave like a cat (jittery, nervous around strangers, starting to see/hear/smell things others cant.)

She lost her parents when their private plane crashed in the jungles of Africa. while search parties were looking for them, she shifted for the first time and hunted as a Tiger/man hybrid. Horrified at what she turned into, she avoided the rescuers searching for her (they found the bodies of her parents). After several months trying to come to grips with what she had become, she allowed herself to be found and rejoined society. however, now that the cat has been let out of the bag, it won't go quietly back inside.

Being that she is back among civilization, she has suppressed her "Wild Side" however, she's noticing that the beast within wants out and now she must find a way to cope with it.

Points of interest, but things not necessarily known to her.
Catnip is a narcotic to her. she does loose complete control of her animal side and can kill in her mad frenzy. She is also extra-susceptable to anesthetics as well as Tranqs and other drugs.
also, should her human side be rendered unconcious (drugged, anesthetic, sleeping) her cat side takes over. so often times, while she's sleeping, her body is exploring her house, sharpening her nails (claws) on fabrics and... well, I'll leave the rest to your imagination. if both sides are rendered unconcious (strong tranq) she will revert to human form. unfortunatly, that does mean she ends up unclothed (I am assuming Uniforms made of unstable molicues don't exsist.)

She does have a higher rate of recovery, Minor healing but no regenration.

Note: as a Natrual Lycanthrope, she cannot infect anyone with lycanthropy... tho she doesn't know that and is constantly afraid that someone will be infected.

her closest companions is Michael, her family's butler/driver, Emily, his daughter (Hari's age and best friend also being trained to be her Maid/Personal Assistant) and Yvette, the cook and Michael's wife.

Haruka's natrual parents were working on a new alternative energy source. however, there was an accident, an unusual power surge. while no one was hurt, the radiation burst did have some effect on her developing fetus.

her parents died shortly after her birth and she was put up for adoption. she was 13 when the earth passed through a large solar storm. shortly thereafter, the normally bookish girl started showing an interest in the athletics. taking Gymnastics as well as some forms of martial arts. The fatal plane trip was a Graduation Celebration she was taking with her family.

Sorry about that. I was just trying to think of some names and this kid that goes to my school name popped into my head. He is the kicker for my football team. I just took his first name. Smith is a common last name so I used it.

I didn't think that character was that strong. I've made stronger. Remember this is the beginning so he won't have complete control over his powers. Also he could lose his powers anywhere in the world depending on the temperature. Being near the polar caps or the equator puts him in a weakened state.

Physical Description: Tall, 6’2, somewhat muscular, but not bulging. Black hair, wears mask. Whether his face is deformed like the fictional Phantom is unknown.

Powers: Shadow/Darkness Manipulation- Perhaps create shadow minions, expand darkness (up to pitch black if needed-Requires a lot of power), Shadow Travel-Very hard and requires intense energy. Shadowmeld-nearly invisible within the shadows (not as stressful as previous)

Bio: Much of Erik’s history is unknown. However, there have been some theories to this man.

Most people speculate that Erik is not even his real name. Erik, however, has been on several officially signed documents, such as letters and love notes to the famous Opera Soprano Christine, threats and demands from various theatre owners, and riddles to the police.

What theories that can be determined as truthful, however, lead Erik to being the son of a very wealthy family. This family was plagued with tradgety however, as, at birth, Erik's younger sister was stilborn, His older brother drowned, and his father was a very violent man, beating Erik and his mother.

When Erik was 9 years old, his father divorced, and he was to stay with his mother. His mother, however, was not without her own faults. She had taken up heavy drinking and smoking habits, and soon began selling her body as a prostitute as a third job.

Erik could no longer take such distasteful treatment, or lack of attention, and ran away from home, never to be seen again.

The boy eventually found himself within the care of a beautiful young dancer, by the name of Jessica, and secretly remained with her within her dorm as Jessica went to classes within her well-known all-girls Art University. She studied dance and performance. Jessica, however, wanted very much to be a singer.

That was something Erik could give her. The young man went to a series of very prominent schools and learned the arts very well, able to play a good many musical instruments and the ability to sing incredibly well.

This went on for many years, Erik's unending thirst for knowledge, never ending as Jessica fed him books upon books, most of which she had never read before. The one, however, that stole Erik's heart, was The Phantom of the Opera, both the musical Opera and the book itself.

However, this Jessica, such a angelic figure in Erik's life, also destroyed him. Erik had sought to propose to the girl turned love, but was shattered when he found out, on a snowy evening, that Jessica had already gotten engaged.

In Erik's rage, he set fire to the woman's dormitory. The headmistress was found hanged in a large oak tree near the main entrance.

The genius child was later recorded as having found himself in a city far away from Jessica, where a theartre was to be built. And Erik had proven himself worthy to compose it's design. The beautiful opera house was like none other, a glorious testament to the boy and his genius.

Yet, secretly within, the boy had built a catacombs, a web of tunnels, traps, and dungeons, just like the Phantom of the books, in which to hide the madness that had begun to take its hold over him.

A madness stymied by another woman to enter his life. A girl named Christine. The woman entranced him, as he entranced her. She too wished to sing beautifully, to live her dream of having a lead role within Operas and musicals.

Erik gladly gave it to her, not so much for knowledge, but just to lay his eyes upon her. Every performance he would send a flower and a love note to the beautiful performer and every night she would pray to her 'Angel of Music', as he led her to believe he was.

To this day, Erik remains to be caught, or even seen, as his genius eludes the most cunning of searchers.

Mathaius is your average middle class boy, going to a public school. He is slightly shy at first, but tends to open up quickly to people. He always wears a happy face, grinning, mostly a cocky grin, and, as most guys his age, loves to flirt/get flirted with.


Matt, as he prefers to be called, dislikes to play school sports, however enjoys playing sports with his friends and is quite a natural. Coaches have tried to get him on the teams, but he refuses, saying he prefers to 'let someone else have the limelight for a change.'

Workwise, Matt is definately not the best, however he is average, with a few A's, a few B's, and occasionally a C or two, being the only grades he had ever recieved, but that he can blame on his several jobs.

He works at a grocery store with minimal wage as a stocker and at a fast food restaurant flipping burgers over a hot stove.

And when he gets home, he has little time for privacy as his five younger siblings enjoy spending time with their older brother. Matt is, when his parents are not around, like a parent himself to his younger siblings.

Little does he know, however, something big is going to happen that will change his life dramatically.

Yes, JuNii, the Solar storm. Though for those that it does not affect, the time can be slightly altered. My character will actually be detained in Antarctica for a few days (flights are nigh impossible at the South Pole during its winter, so they'll be sending a land convoy to pick him up) but he will get the word out in about 1 RP day. But once the intros get posted, that's when balls start rolling.

errr... what city is Eric in and what did he do?

The City is ambiguous, that's why anyone can really go to it.

Eric himself has done several things so far, which hasn't been stated in the post. He's threatened several actors, murdered a few, kidnapped Christine (according to the others), basically the same as he did in the movie, with slight (and minor) differences.

The Police have been called to stay in back and watch, and should Erik show himself, they'll jump out at him in which the chase scene would ensue.

Sorry I haven't been on. I am posting to infomr you all that New Age: Warrior's Dawn is now on hold. Suspended Animation, Pigeon-holed, what have you. I was hospitalized earlier this week again, this time for what we have finally diagnosed as a genetic disease that I am now on aa once a day prescription pill for (Treatable, so I'll be fine). However, on my doctors' orders, I won't be able to GM this for a while. When my health improves, I'll notify you all, but for now, the thread is closed. I got in last night, and crashed until about noon today (I'm on New york time). Again my apologies, but in my current, exhausted condition, I can't GM this.

Hope you all had a good Turkey day, if you celebrated it.

Well, I'm am finally no longer in a state of total exhaustion, thanks mostly to the fact that my meds are working. I moved to the suppression levels rather quickly, which is pretty good (I've got a faulty protein break down chain that can't recycle certain lipid-metabolizing proteins. Now that my levels are normal, it's just a manner of keeping me there, sort of like Diabetes, but for a different macromolecule.) As far as the thread goes, I'll get around to it when I get around to it. Just look for fresh postings.

I wish you all a "Happy Holidays," since I can't really afford to stick with a "Merry Christmas," due to the fact that not everybody here likes Christmas. Remember, there are certain things that don't mix. Drinking and Driving is one. Another involves leaving a lit Menorah besides a dry Christmas Tree in an inter-faith home. Be smart folks. Keep dry, decaying tinder away from dangerous, open flame. :D

Woosh and I figured that my RP should go up earlier, as he would be putting out another NJLU RP sometime in Spring. I don't know where he is with that, but this RP was more of a character based one designed to be more down to earth than stuff of Marvel and DC comics. Woosh and I figured that my RP should go up earlier, as he would be putting out another NJLU RP sometime in Spring. I don't know where he is with that, but this RP was more of a character based one designed to be more down to earth than stuff of Marvel and DC comics. Due to my own concerns, as well as some very well explained sentiments from certain concerned individuals, we're starting over. This is mostly a do over for me, as GM, as I was hoping to make this into a thread about power discovery. As such, I'm going to ask that the initial posts deal with actually finding out about one's powers (as in multiple posts to figure out that you are "special" before we start on the traditional power rampaging). Plus, the story arc that I originally worked out will fit better (nothing like a kidnapping to stimulate your body into blasting a dude into tiny, ashy bits).

To those that don't want me to restart this, I am sorry, but for this to work, I have to ask that some of you rewrite your intros (i.e, take more than one post to figure our your char has powers). This is mostly for groundwork, as the nature of the story will force a rapid series of events designed to do stuff for people...

Anyways, that's the deal. Pay attention, new thread coming up soon. if you have questions about your old intro, and whether or not elements can be recycled, TG me, or ask me here (TG's work better). Ciao.

Does mine fit the bill so far? since now I'm planning the whole nightmare thing from the start this time.

I like yours as well, you are very descriptive in your characters inner conflict between the two personalies that I see as beauty and the beast. I find it interesting that we both took our characters to the woods / jungle for there discovery of their powers. Although my characters powers are of a wider range of changes. But this first one might seem very close to your characters abilities, I will still try not to copy anything of your character.

I just hate how she whines and cries every five seconds about needing to be kept behind bars. Plus I can't tell if Ali Larter is a bad actor or not - like she is overselling it or it just isn't believable coming from her.

from what I understand, it's all seperate stories but it will all come together. so for now, we all go through our power discovery and development, stopping short of deciding to put on spandex and fight for Truth, Justice, and whatevers. :D

well, the thing is...

after thinking about it, ALOT of time has passed for my character. So I feel it's time for me to pause to let others catch up with their character development. (she's getting to the point where she's getting comfortable with what she can do. so after my first shifting scene, it's all experimentation and what not.)

So Blastit Empire, if you can start your background, (How this person meets Christine, who is she etc.) if you make her a senior of University of Las Vegas, then we can run in the same circles. ;) otherwise, I can think up ideas as to how I can insert myself into the opra (she is a billionare after all.)
