Jenny continued to speed to toward the main camp, senses open for traces of the beasts.

"That was close" said Xeln, standing over the beast's shattered body "How many clips of slug-tjrower ammo did we use?"

"It doesn't matter. What matters is gettint to the main camp now!" said Keveck as the group moved double-time.

Jenny was getting near the main camp.

Jenny had arrived at the main camp, changed/dressed, and had been looking for someone.

"We're here" said Keveck, stopping to catch his breath "C'mon, we have to talk to Gedro Mans."

Seeing the others, Jenny went over, "I havn't been able to find anyone, but also no sign of the beasties."

While they were heading toward the ship, Keveck couldn't help but feel something very ominous was about to happen.

Jenny had demolished a massive slab of nearly raw meat before she'd reported back to the main hall.

"How much longer can we hold out?" asked Gerdo Mans of the Main Camp Commander.
"Not much longer. If we want to survive, we need to get off this rock as soon as possible or they'll kill us all."

"Then lets get it underway." Jenny said as she licked her lips, licking up a bit of the blood from the meat.

You are to reach the mountain and agether intel about the area. You are to then return to base where we will finally leave tthis mudball. That is all." siad Gedro Mans. He then walked back to the command center and the group headed for the armory.

"No noise. That's not good" said Redre. And as they walked out of the growth they saw why. A beast, bigger than the ones Jenny had fought, was chewing on a human corpse.

The beast, sensing live prey, stood up on it's hind legs, a bit taller than than those in the squad and with armor covering large portions of it.

"Feel free to open fire." She commented to the others, being unarmed herself.

Slugs impacted upon it's chitnous armour, but it did little but slow down the beast as it charged at them, claws extended.

"Aim for (weak points)." Jenny called out as she moved the person in the beast's way out of it and danced to the side.

"Hits it's head" called Redre Adter, which was met with a respons from half of the rifle's shooting slugs deep into the beast's head.

You shall know all in due time...and you shall soon rethink the title of "pathetic." Air Fryers, slay them as the small, jet powered beasts divebombed the group, their sharp horn pointed forward and dodging the slugs.

IC: The Air Fryer, as crazed for victory as the rest of it's gropu, dived straight toward the ground.

Having passed Outpost 6 and seen the grim horrors of it, the group arrives at the black, jagged, mountain.

"I wonder if mister annoying hive mind is going to be annoying again." Jenny commented to herself/

At the base of the mountain, a triangular slab of rock spilts in half and opened, revealing a black hole, rimmed with black, long, thin tentacle-like blades.

Horrible screams and cries of pain and fear eminated from it, as a psychic wave of fear washed over the group.

This nest is far weaker and smaller than me. Let me show you what it can do as tentacles came out of the mouth and grabbed several of the team members.

Jenny said as she snatched two rifles from one of the other scouts and proceeded to use the rounds to shred the tentecles that were grabbing the others in the team.

Can't I feed off of their fear and pain? Well, you're no fun little changling as a beast, like the Grunts and Caliban's but larger and covered in armor, approached from behind, as two humanoid, insectoid creatures, with silver patches and lines of armor on them and blades coming from their wrists (above the hands) joined it.

"Get out of here." She ordered the others, as she opened fire on the nearest humanoid with both barrels.

The Blade Beast was mostly unnaffected except for dents and holes in its chest.

Once out of sight, and out of bullets, Jenny shifted, "Come and get me you walking eyesores." She taunted as she leapt onto a nearby tree.

"Now you've made us very angry" said the two Blade Beasts, speaking for all three as the Ogre grabbed here and the BB thrust their blades at her.

The ground shook as the beasts ran, and the earth became cracked as a gigantic tentacle burst from the ground.

She sprang off the tree, "Trying to shot a fly with a cannon are you?" She asked the voice.

Valentine wasn't sure where everyone was, but he decided that going looking for them was a good idea right about now.

He eventually found his clothes, gun, and other equipment, his next question was much more difficult to answer, specifically the one he shouted at the top of his lungs. "WHERE THE HELL IS EVERYBODY!?!?!"

The massive tentacle was slamming down at Jenny, when it, and the three beasts, stopped, and the air was filled with a sense of foreboding.

"So, had enought you silly tentacle." Jenny called out as she nimbly avoided the tentacle.

The tentacle retracted, and the beasts began to retreat into the jungle, as the air was thick with an overpowering sense of dread.

Jenny, seeing the tentacle leave, headed back toward the main encampment.

But then came the Voice. it was a terrible, dark, corrupt voice. A voice full of age. A voice speaking in minds.

Jenny just continued on her way, disregarding the little interplay between the voices.

The ground began to shake, as the sound of a stampede of beasts could be heard.

Jenny took to the trees, moving almost like a monkey throught the trees.

Far away from Jenny's battlefield, Valentine heard the shriek of the dieing creature reverberate through his mind. He did not react well.

He collapsed, writhing in psychic backlash as the death knell of the voice clawed at his psyche.

And then the sky turned black. For a massive swarm of horrible flying creatures took to the sky, the jungle, and the open ground, anywhere they could move through.

Jenny waited until a winged beast was close enought, and leapt on it's back. She was going to get a lift back to the ship.

And so the beasts swirled up into the air in a pointed spiral. And then the point shot forward at the main camp, moving with the horde of beasts on the ground.

Jenny had caught one of the first beasties, and with it, began causing a good deal of problems for the entire winged group. She'd force the one she was on to cut others off, send those that got near reeling away into others, and genereally disrupting the whole flight.

But the swarm barreled on, merely pushing the useless aside and to the earth, where their bodies were trampled by the stampede. Now, they were approaching the first of the capms on their path, which was covered in balck organic growth and swarming with beats.

Jenny sent a message to the others to get ready and get off the ground as she continued to cause havoc among the swarm.

Then it happened. It was sudden, without warning. There was only the falling, as the Glider carrying Jenny and those near it screamed toward the earth, ready to smash themselves amongst the clearing of the second outpost.

Just prior to impact, Jenny leapt off the beast, catching a branch and swinging herself onto it. She watched with detached interest as the beasts splatted into the ground.

But the Crawlers mearely swarmed up the trees, and there was nowhere left to run.

Jenny waited until the branches the bugs were climbing on began snapping, before leaping down from the tip of the tall tree and waiting for the bugs to follow her down.

Of course, being breed solely to slay the enemies of the Collective does not leave one unskilled in the art of camoflauge as several crawlers lept up, their pincers snapping.

The creature gave a blood-curdling screach as 10 more surrounded her, to the side and above. Then the wounded one pounced.

As the one pounced, it left an opening between it and the ground, which she used to slide under and out of the ring of bugs. Realizing the approx proximity to the main camp, she tapped her comm device, "I'd advise getting off the ground." She snapped, "But wait for me." She added as she took off at a remarkable clip.

The horde had reached the camp. The Scorp Tail thrust their stingers into the heads of those unfortunate to get close and ripped a gaping hole up, covered in a thicj, green, goo. The Gliders picked up soldiers and ripped their heads off, covering their wounds with the ooze. The ground creatures ripped the guards apart, spitting the ooze on their bloody remains. It was not an attack, more of an act of cruelty on a large scale.

Jenny, now in full natural form(something none of the others had seen) arrived just as one of the bugs was about to take a person's head off. Springing forward, she slit it from scaly head to slimy tail.

The Crwalers, far from being simple-minded, began thrashing their hindquarters as soon as their heads sailed past.

It seemed to be covered in iron armor, and had a massive horn on its forhead. its body was long and slightly cyndrical, with no visible appendages except the wing. It speed towards the ship, its horn piercing the armor. It unstuck it, and the swarm went in.

"Everyone get out, get out now and head towards the shuttles" said Gredo Mans as the walls of the bridge caved in and beasts flew forth. He never even saw the Glider that ripped off his head.

The Beastraged through the swarm, each strike it recieved only angered it more, and increased is desire for blood, again and again the Beast Flare went out, and surrounded the creature with a nimbus of flame, again and again the beast lashed out with its claws and horns, as well as teeth and tail, but it would not be enough in the end, the Beast was doomed if this kept up much longer without change...

And so the shuttle left, and only two remained on the ground, and the swarm formed a massive black cloud above the area, intent on trapping all below.

The Gigas beats its chest for a pair of interminably long seconds, and then an aura of lightning appears around it, coruscating azure bolts that reach out at anything within their rapidly expanding sphere of range.

"Tougher than I thought." She commented to herself, "Maybe he can take care of himself." As she lept backward.

And then all was in jeaporady. The horde swarmed the shuttle landing site, hoping to cripple the ships for conversion.

The Gigas rampaged through the swarm, much more deadly than the Beast ever would be, using its massive strength to bludgeon anything in its path, and occasionaly letting loose more blasts of electricity when it was surrounded, the swarm was not going to like dealing with the Gigas, or either of the other two forms that would follow after...

Jenny watched with interest as the beast raged.

Next thing you know, the whole Collective is awake, and the Master has decided to send us on another campaign of galactic genocide. You might tell all about it, but fortunately, all of you are stranded on this mudball. Should've boarded the shuttles. But now I can feed off your pain and msiery as I torture all of you until time dies said the voice in the minds as a green, blank, eye took form in front of all who heard. And then came the Agonizers. They were blue four legged beasts whose legs attached to the thigh which supported the upright abdomen and head. It had two arms, at the end of which were spikes which opened up into four slices with electricity flowing between them. Their heads were large with a horn on top and side mandibles. Their bodies were covered in armor and spikes. And they were looking forward to torturing everyone.

The Gigas was temporarily confused, then it reacted, again it unleashed the Livewire into the swarm around it, and then it went back to crushing skulls.

As she touched a small device lodged into her breastbone, one of the few techno pieces that were required for a hunter, she began fading out...
