This is a CLOSED thread!

*I watched a change in you, like you never....*
Rashel hummed along to the melancholy song, by the Deftones, "Change in the House of Flies".

Honk...honk...hoooooNNKKKKK!

She shook her head, a thick mass of caramel hair followed the movement, I must be dazing too much. She stepped down on the accellerator. Her car swifted and cruised forward. She turned and slowly found her parking spot. She worked at Club Raine. She was a goo-goo dancer.

She stepped onto the asphault in DC shoes and gathered herself and her bag. She ran inside. Just in time. Tonight was men's night and would be very busy, she needed to remain focused, unless she wanted to fall off her stage again.

Guess I can't get over my clumsiness.

The night seemed to blur before her eyes. She was downstairs getting changed once again. She walked to her car..."Shit!"

She peered inside, she left her keys in the car and it was locked. She pulled out her phone and called Sean.

"Sean, I locked my keys in the car..."

Grumbles, "Yeah, again. Just come down here so I can come home. I'm tired."

She checked her watch, three thirty in the morning. It was a long day that was for sure.

Now, she would just have to wait.

Sean hung up and grumbled. It would help if she kept a spare set of keys. He climbed out of bed and streched. He got dressed in a pair of sandles, kahki shorts, and a blue t-shirt with 'Never Underestimate The Power of Stupid People In Large Numbers' written in white letters across it. He grabbed his keys, some tools he had been using to pick Rashel's car door, left his studio flat down to the street.

He climbed into his Saab 0'5 9-5 sedan and headed off to save Rashel from the cold night air. Sean flicked on his CD player and The Eagle's Hotel California filled his vehicle. It took him a little under twenty minutes to reach her because of the little night traffic. Sean stopped his car near Rashel and climbed out.

"Don't worry, your knight in shining armor is here."

He went over to her car and pulled out his tools. The first time he had unlocked her car it had taken over an hour, he had now gotten it down to ten minutes. There was a click and Sean opened her door for her.

He leaned against it and smiled.

"You know Kitty, it won't kill you to have a spare set of keys in your purse in case this happens."

"So you are going then. To join those who consider themselves better than them. To socialise with cold and heartless bastards who find pleasure in their elitist banter and high and mighty talk. This is who you leave me for."

The wind whistled through the ribcage of a building, the ruined machinery of the factory resting now. The dark night surrounded the place like a melancholy cocoon.

"Please don't let it end like this." She said, her voice slightly trembling and reluctant to leave without her mentor and sire's blessing. The mentor provided none. His vision was going away from her, towards the window and beyond. He observed a streetlight flickering in the darkened street, observed the usual proceeding of peace.

"You made it end like this. I thought you were better than this. To leave my side at such a young age, to leave to join your new freinds. You will never return here, that much I know. No, they will not let you leave thier presence." The mentor hissed, his spite towards the vampire society being a sentiment which he was infamous for in the vampire community he shunned. His attitude towards other vampires was bleak, considering himself one of the few vampires who actually acted as a vampire should. He viewed the other snobbish vampires as being degenerates of a once noble race. Perhaps not a race of noble task, but a race of noble and sophisticated attitude towards that task none the less. Not the sadistic and smug pleasure that other vampires had.

The angered and disappointed vampire continued, drawing his ragged and intensely old coat about him, where the material had ripped it fluttered in the cold night wind.

"Didn't I teach you better? Didn't I teach you of thier ways? Morals, ethics, behaviour! Did these things I not teach you!" He whispered, his voice now gaining a sadness, the sharpness of his anger now directed more at himself. he was disappointed in her, and he believed he was to blame for her actions. But this was not so.

"I...I am young. I want to see this world you describe, I want to speak with other vampires and their experiances, I want to see them for myself! Did you always live alone Sire? Did you always live in this abandoned factory, alone, away from the company of other vampires? A recluse, a hermit?" The sire pleased, her voice trying to pierce this cold shield around her mentor.

The greater vampire of the two remained motionless for a few long sections, perhaps considering his answer in greater detail. Tact was something he lacked often, both something which was appealing and refreshing, but also damning in such tense situations.

"No, I was not always a hermit. I was not guided by my sire, but by another. But of him, I will say nothing. Leave me. Leave me and live your life. I will not stop you. I sired you, I have taught you for the short time you have chosen to be with me, these six years. If you want another teacher in life, go. Go from me. Leave me in my solitude."

Sometimes, he did not know when to place a softer word in. He would regret it for a long time to come, seeing as he would never see her again. A tear came down from his fledgling's eye, and she said, a near whisper, "I do not want to be taught lessons of life. I want to live. Live and learn my own lessons."

And with that, she turned upon her heel and slowly walked away from the man who had guided her through twenty years of her mortal years, and six years of immortal years. A father figure, a strange and unusual father who had protected her and saved her from danger. Now, that father figure had to let his child go, go and explore the world. Explore the part of the world, the societies of the common vampire, the part of the world he hated and reviled. He did so with a grudging heart, and was left alone.

Alone, looking out the window, as he had always done. watching, waiting. Considering. He felt nothing as she walked away, only severe disappointment in himself.

If only there was something I could have said...

But there was nothing that could have been said to prevent the bird from being freed from her cage, to enter the dark world and see and learn for herself.

A sigh came from the vampire, long, drawn and ragged. He was alone again.

As he always was.

A faint pink colored blossomed across her face.

Smack.

Her closed fist softly meet his deltoid.

"If I had spare keys in my purse, what would I do if I left my purse in the car?"

She nodded.

She picked at his shirt, I hate that shirt .

"Why do you always wear this thing?"

She didn't allow him to answer her.

Her voice picked up a higher pitch, "Work was crazy tonight. Not only did Buffie got gropped, but I did also. That is the last time I decide to work behind the fence. Now, I know why most of the girls request the cages. I said I would only tonight because I didn't want Buffie to be by herself." She paused. "Why don't you ever come, you could have protected me, been my boyfriend in person. No one ever believes me, I don't know how they figure I am single when I say I am not."

Rashel's eyes widened.

Grrrrruuuummmble...

She patted her flat stomach.

A grin flashed, "Let's get some grub!"

She hopped into her car.

Pretty sure he knows where I want to go...

She dug through her purse to find her cell-phone as she navigated through the near vacant streets. An above street-light flickered off.

I hate when they do that.

The small hairs on the back of her neck rose, sending goosebumbs to rise all over her body.

Ahh..ha..There it is.

"Sean." Moments later she heard it ring.

"You know where we are going right? Denny's."

She cruised into the parking lot and parked. She leaned against her vehicle, waiting for her slow-poke friend to arrive.

Waiting, she closed her eyes.

Christian sat on an empty bench in front of the resteraunt, cloaked in night's dark fabric. This was one of the few places open late, and therefore made an ideal place to sit and people-watch. He sat with his hands folded over his lap, resting comfortably on the leather material. Stringy blond hair hung over his face and finally came to an end a few inches below his shoulders. A wooden cross hung from a leather cord around his neck, resting against his bare chest. A long dark coat sheilded his skin from the elements, though currently he left it open to welcome the cool night air.

A noisy group of teens passed him on their way inside while another group chatted in the middle of the parking lot. But it was the lone girl he was interested in. He watched her resting against her car, eyes closed, off-guard and unsuspecting. He recognized her from somewhere, but could not place it at the moment. So he sat quietly, unassuming, and content to observe her from this distance.

Sean drummed his fingers on the door as Rashel did her rant. Her punch didn't do anything to him. He looked at his shirt, he liked it and considered it very true in many cases..

"Well it..." He paused and sighed as she continued.

Though it did annoy Sean to some extent, there was something about Rashel besides her body that he was attracted to. He had wanted to come tonight, but he had been working on a program that had tired him too much to get up. Damn Microsoft. When she climbed in he closed her car door and went back to his own.

He fished out his cell phone when he heard the distinct ringtone; he had Giorgio Tucci and Fabio Frizzi's score for Zombi 2. Sean mumbled an okay and pulled out of the parking lot. Traffic held him up and he arrived ten minutes after Rashel.

He parked next to her, climbed out, and gave her a peck on the cheek. He smiled and took her by the arm and led her inside. Sean didn't see the man sitting on the bench watching them. He got them a booth in the non-smoking, he already knew what he was going to have. Busicuts and gravy with sausage, hashbrowns, and scrambled eggs with American cheese on top, with black coffee.

Sean waited for Rashel to sit in the booth before sitting down across from her. He looked at her as she scanned her menu.

"Rashel, I did seriously try to come, you know me. I will come the next time you work and you can drop by my flat and haul me out at gunpoint if you wish. Take your pick between my Walther P38 or my Beretta 92."

Sean reached across the table and took one of her hand and gently kissed it.

"How does that sound and are you ready to place your order?"

The soft touch across her cheek, lifted her heavy lids open and she smiled. Sean always knew how to brighten her dim times.

She looked over at a bench and saw a lone figure, but she wasn't able to get a better look because Sean had whisked her away and before she knew it he had her hand in his and asking for her order.

His warmth, radiated to her and she couldn't stop smiling.

Cough...cough, the waiter cleared his throat.

She laughed, everyone thought they were dating, but they never did and probably wouldn't. They were just too close to be that intimate.

"I will have water, please." She paused as Sean squeezed her hand.

She laughed once more, "No, that is not all I am having. I would like a salad and the steak. Medium rare. I mean, I want to see blood, sweetheart."

The waiter's face glowed a bright red.

"With fries please."

The waiter left and then returned sortly with two waters and a mug, with a coffee pot.

She grabbed the silver brown pot and poured his coffee for him, she always did that.

She looked outside their window, the night was clear and she could see the bench. She looked back at Sean, don't be rude .

"So, what keep you away from me?"

Sean smiled as he sipped his coffee. What he hadn't told her about his two firearms was that the P38 was an airsoft and broken, and the Beretta was always kept unloaded and in a safe. He liked Rashel, but was also ready for a smack when he told her what he did.

"Well, I was working on this program that I thought would only take a few minutes. It was...well, won't bore you with the specifics. I started about noon and finished three hours before you started work. I lay down for an hour nap, turned on my alarm. My alarm didn't work. So...I woke up when you called me."

Sean caught her looked out the window and he stared out there, not seeing the bench.

"What is it Rashel? Something troubling you?"

She blinked and her brows furrowed, "Why do you ask? No, not besides the usual shit."

She sighed, this business of hers was getting old. She was sick of the lines, just about as much as she could take. Yet, the money was good. And until she had enough could she do anything else.

A long winded sigh,"Don't you ever wonder if there is anything else out there. I mean am I really going to be stuck dancing for the rest of my life."

A nervous laugh escaped through her open lips, "I mean can you see me doing this when I am fourty." Her face contorted. "Eww..."

"I just wish I wasn't stuck here."

Sean sighed. Rashel was his best and closest friend. He would help her move onto another career if he could. He would look around for her. Sean got up and moved around the booth and sat next to her. He wrapped his arm around her and brought her close as the waiter returned with thier food.

"Hey Kitty, don't be so depressed. Sure there is lots of stuff out there. I got work off tomorrow, maybe we can find something, or go somewhere to get it off your mind. How about I pick you up say around eleven, we catch a flick or something and spend the rest of the day in the park?"

He chuckled as an evil thought entered his head.

"When you hit fourty you can always dance for horny, old men at a rest home."

It hadn't been long before the lone female was accompanied by a male who ushered her inside. Christian could smell something on the gentleman, something close to lust. It wasn't hard to see why... she was an attractive young thing.

He waited there a few more moments, watching and listening to the groups milling about. One might think this place was actually busier at night than during the day. Long fingers clasped the cross gently and brought it to his lips. Then he stood quietly and stepped out into the parking lot without a sound.

It didn't take long to reach her vehicle. The lot here was small and the cars were evenly spread across the whole of it. Her doors were locked. She was cautious.. good. Too many psychos these days who might want to hurt such a pretty one. A half open bag rested on the passenger's seat containing a change of clothes, and a partial view of an ID card. Club Raine. That's where he'd recognized her from. She was a dancer.. He glanced back at the resteraunt window with a thin smile as the two settled in for a late-night snack.

She pushed him off the set next to her. He landed with an umph. "Great. That is all I need is your sarcastic remarks."

She laughed as he sat on the floor. She got up and helped him up, she knew he was joking, but it was great because he wasn't expecting that.

She sat back down and reached for her purse. She began to dig through it to find her cell phone, she had some messages she wanted to check. She was sure one was from her brother and she wanted to call him back. She was very protective of him.

Crap. Must have left it in the car.

"Sean I am going to run out to my car and get my phone, I left it in there."

She paused and glared at him, "Not one," a smile broke through, "word."

She grabbed her keys and ran out the door. She slowed down as she saw a figure standing near her car peering in it.

She looked inside and saw Sean watching her and motioned for him.

"Hey, you!" Her voice loud and clear.

"What are you doing? Can I help you?"

She clenched one hand into a fist next to her side. She wasn't afraid to protect herself.

Dimitri sped along the dimmly lit streets. It had been awhile since he had last enten and he was in need of snack. The resteraunt on the side of the road caught his eye and he turned his bike into the lot. As he stopped and dismounted he looked around the lot; the usual diner crown from the loos of the cars. He kicked down his kickstand and removed his helmet, freeing his short, jet black hair. He set the helmet on the bike and started towards the door of the resteraunt. Some movement to his right caught his eye; a man in the dark, examining a car. Thinking nothing of it Dimitri entered he resteraunt and walked up to the counter.

"How many in your party?" the hostess said.
"Just me," Dimitri replyed, adding "Do you have aything near the kitchen?"

The hostess nodded and grabbed a menu, motioning for him to follow. She lead him to a mostly empty part of the room and he slid into the booth. She offered him the menu, but he waved it off.

"I know what i want. Just send over the waiter."

The girl nodded and walked off. Dimitri leand back and into the shadow of the booth and looked around at the other patrons, smirking to himself slightly.

Sean rubbed his butt as he sat back in the booth and took a mouthful of hashbrowns. He watched Rashel walk outside and he quickly noticed someone looking into her car. He didn't need her to motion for him, he quietly palmed a knife from the table and slid it into his jacket pocket. He got up and headed to the manager who was talking with a waiter.

"Pardon me, there is some guy looking into my girlfriend'd car and I am going to see what it is about. Can you keep an eye on it and get ready to call the cops if anything happens?"

The manager gave a quick nod and Sean turned and left the resturant. He kept his right hand in his coat pocket, feeling the handle of the knife. Sean moved in front of Rashel.

"What are you doing looking in someone else's car?"

He straightened at her approach and clasped his hands in front of him.

"Kitty, right?"

But as he took a subtle step forward, the male appeared and stepped protectively in front of her.

"No need to be alarmed... I'm just passing through."

He looked the man dead in the eyes for a moment, either to let his words sink in or to captivate him with the gaze. It was impossible to tell. Christian's glance then swept past him and rested fully on the girl.

"M'lady.." he bowed slightly and touched his eyebrow as if tipping an imaginary hat to her before slowly turning with a lingering gaze and taking his leave of them.

His waiter came and Dimitri ordered himself a large stake, rare as possible, and a glass of red wine. He noted with some interest the pretty young thing outside confronting the man by the car. The wine came and he swilled it around in the glass, musing over what might be going on outside. Another man showed up a moment later, taking a defensive position between the girl and the other man. The lone figure stood a moment longer, then departed.

"A pity the boyfriend showed up. I should have very much liked a show with my meal," Dimitri thought.

He shurgged and went back to his people watching. There was much young blood to be had tonight. No need to waste time pondering over his loss of entertainment.

Rashel's eyebrows furrowed as the man walked away.

He seems defenseless enough. He might not harm me.

"Sean stop being like that. Please. Hold on a moment."

Without waiting for him to respond, she bolted toward the figure and tapped him on the shoulder.

"Well, M'Lord, " her voice dripping with sarcasm. "What exactly does passing through have to deal with snooping in my car?"

She stepped closer, showing her aggression. She grabbed his shirt with her fist and lifted him slightly up on his toes, "Now."

He laughed quietly, looking down at her, and allowed her to attempt to manhandle him. Gently, he closed those long fingers around her hand and softly but firmly convinced her to let go of his jacket. That accomplished, he readjusted the long dark thing over his shoulders and tucked one end beneath the other to better cover his otherwise bare torso.

"Calm yourself, my dear. I was only trying to see what they were up to.."

He waved a hand dismissively at a group of youngish boys who had quickly dispersed at the beginning of this confrontation. It seemed plausible enough.

"A 'Good Samaratin' if you will. Some habits die hard."

He locked his gaze on her, almost ignoring the male now standing a few feet behind her.

She let his comment slide off her back. She meet his gaze dead on, "I highly doubt that. Besides, how do you know my nickname?"

Goosebumps danced on her exposed skin. She repositioned herself in a bit more relaxed stance, but ready for any movement.

She was not sure if she should trust this person or not...

probably not.

I hope Sean isn't mad at me for yelling at him to stay behind. I just don't want him to get hurt. He is my best friend he will understand later.

She thought to herself this was only to protect herself and her best friend.

"Don't make me ask again, what exactly are you doing snooping in my car and how do you know me?"

Victor was walking down the street near the Dennys when he began feeling a gnawing hunger that he knew but hadn't experience for a number of years, he began twitching and jerking, moving similar to a druggy who was being tasered, as he stumbled and fell against a lightpole, still twitching as he attempted to worm a vial out of a pocket with out dropping or crushing it.

"I've seen you dance. The others call you that."

It was a simple answer simply delivered. Nothing indicated he was going to reveal more. With a sigh, he shifted his weight comfortably and clasped his hands in front of him again.

Sean stayed back, but close enough to Rashel if something happened. He took a slight step forward as the man touched Rashel. Normally he wouldn't mind, but the man knowing her name and looking into her car was enough for him to be on the edge. He arched his eyebrow at the man, still silent, he felt the cool metal of the knife in his pocket as he watched.

Rashel nodded back to Sean.

He's right, wasted time here. Yet, it freaks me out that this guy knows about me. Oh well, just another one to add to the list.

She walked back to Sean and they returned to their food, luckily it was still warm.

A frown crossed her face as she ate her food. She just didn't know what to make of the night.

She pushed her plate aside. She couldn't eat anymore, she was exhausted now.

"Sean, I am tired. Let's get the bill and go home to sleep."

Dimitri's steak arrived. The smell of the cooking flesh and blood hard been teasing him since it was put onto the grill. He now stopped paying attention to the outside world and hungrily devoured his appetizer. not a drop of juice or blood was sparred. After the meat was gone, he poured the remaing blood on the plate into his wine glass and swirl it around, drawing a few odd glances from the other patrons. He took a sip and looked around the room again.

"And now for the main course..."he thought to himself.

His stark, purple eyes scanned the room. He was in the mood for something young; something veril; something that might try to fight back.

“Felixsh, Feli..xsh. I need help Felixsch. Healp!”

The man cried out in his drunken state, the voice straining and snapping in and out of pitches. Panicked and scared, the man who was being hounded called out his last hope’s name. It was like a pitiful excuse for a boat calling out for help in a world of crashing waves and storm filled sky. The distress signal was carried through the factory along with the sounds of his body refusing his commands; the man repeatedly crashing into broken and decadent machinery, his arms draped over the hunks of useless metal. He often cried out in pain as he did so the sudden crash into clutter forcing him to take a few moments to recover; his arms draped over the rusting metal like a spider in its feeble death throes.

"Felix! You gotta be here, please Gawd….pleash let him be here…" The young man whispered to himself as he hung around the broken tools of a job which no longer was needed. His chest was bloody and flayed, his breathing ragged and pained. He was like a child, a small child who was being chased by some monster of the night, and he kept on calling out his mother’s name, to save him from the dark of his imagination.

But these thing following him was not of imagination, but it could be considered a monster. His dark and serious gangster appearance, that formal and cold approach to his work evident in his practiced chase. No emotion upon his face, his pace calm and unchanging. Meat cleaver in hand, still traced with blood from his target. The wound had been light considering how much damage the mobster could have inflicted if the full force of the blow had hit. Meat fisted, wiry hair and a set jaw which translated as menace in the universal language of appearance.

His cinder-block shoes clanked ominously in the abandoned factory, a low steady drum contrasting to the ragged breaths of the doomed victim of circumstance. He proceeded onwards, gaining ground as his target was soon becoming drained of breath and energy. Yet still, he called out, raw desperation.

And the vampire heard. The vampire heard his alias being called out, called out to him now as the mortal he had befriended needed his help. The sounds of his desperate cries barely pierced the deafness of shock that he had been in for the last three hours, due to his fledgling’s departure. He was underwater, the matters of the surface something else, some other person’s business. Another distorted and muted warble came into his world.

“Plush, pleash help me Felix! If you…you’re there….don’t…don’t abandon me!”

He was no longer running. His breath was more ragged now, sounds of sobbing now mixed into it all. He had given up, given up because he could not make his body move anymore, he could not longer be powered on this raw fear.

But the water was drained in a moment, the voice speaking of abandonment making the world into focus. The room formed about him, the office which was overlooking the whole factory was his own chambers. He turned from his observations, that flickering light, to turn to the windows which depicted this sick pursuit. He saw through grease covered glass, the man who pleaded, the monster who hunted.

The monster reared his head, brought his cleaver in a swooping motion, aiming to tear him apart completely. The long flat blade shined dully in this light, the blood which had clung to its surface spraying behind him in a glorious arc.

It crashed down.

But the sound was not as it should. It hit the blank floor, not flesh and bone. The drunken man was no longer there, transported by a prayer. The mobster’s face was infuriated and mystified by the event, his teeth clenched and his head looking about him. His coldness parted to reveal fury, fury at this turn of events.

His target was upon the floor near the entrance, snatched by the vampire with a swift motion. Soft words were whispered to him, reassurance from the friend that everything was fine. If the man had turned up in any other circumstance, he would have had harsh words to welcome, to tell him no-one was allowed in this place, his private residence. But then, he could not say them. Not like this. His friend lay upon the floor, cold, receding, passive.

Ragged words of thanks, then final breath. Died upon the floor in his arms.

What proceeded was more speed and strength, a flurry of quick motions. The attacker was faster than the eye could see, but was flung back repeatedly by the brute’s strength. His jet black suit contrasted with the vampire’s thick and tattered grey one, seemingly of Russian origins. A few muffled grunts, a slice of that heavy weapon, a swift deathblow. Blood flowed from numerous wounds, the ground became slick in the crimson liquid.

The vampire was victorious. He was ragged, worn out drained by this zealous attack. His speed was born of frustration, his limited strength amplified by anger. He had been swift, but not swift enough to avoid a crippling wound to his arm. The gash was deep, but the wound was slowly healing. He lay against the wall, his breathing long and laboured and his eyes staring balefully towards the man who still clutched that butcher’s knife.

The vampire swore, and looked regretfully at the mortal who he could not save in time.

Why did everyone around him leave him or die?

He stood his ground and watched the two walk back inside again. He was slightly irked that the calming and suggestive effect of his gaze had not worked on either of them, but that sometimes happened when too much emotion was involved. It worked best with fear in any case, and neither of them bore the scent of that particular emotion.

Adjusting his long coat once again, he glanced about discreetly. There was other Blood about. He could feel them, but pushed the acknowledgement to the back of his mind. Inside, the two had finally gotten to their meals, but neither looked overly inclined to eat. Christian crossed the small lot back towards the building's enterance and rested near the doorway, out of sight to anyone leaving, but in plain view of those coming in. Tonight he would claim the girl. The boy, though a sinner, was of no consequence.

Sean gave a nod and hailed the waitress. She brought them thier check before moving off to serve other night owls. Sean pulled out several crumpled bills from his wallet and placed them on the table with a coins. He looked outside and didn't see the creep who had been looking into Rashel's car. That had made him very uneasy. The waitress returned and took the money back to count and get change.

The waitress returned, gave Sean his change, and left. Sean stood, put on his coat and started towards the exit with Rashel. He stopped and looked at her.

"Kitty, I don't like the fact someone was looking in your car like that. I'll take you back to my flat and you can sleep there. I'll catch a taxi back here, pick up your car and bring it to my place. Does that sound alright to you?"

Victor managed to get the stopper out of the vial and drink the contents down, only spilling a few drops. The effects were instantly obvious, he stopped shaking, relaxed and composed himself. He slid into an alley and remained there glimmering red eyes sweeping the area, he could smell vampire, but couldn't tell who it was or where they were. He would wait until he could find the vampire or until it made a move.

"This place is getting the better of me."

Both the factory and the world in general. It was a sentance uttered by the vampire, which he immediately rebuked himself for saying it. It was so cliched for a vampire to say such things, such things which he had hated other vampires for saying. Always ranting about loneliness, the curse, the seperation, the coldness. All that fucking melodrama. He reviled it utterly, that mental thinking, so he snapped out of it immediately. Or at least, let that want urge to bitch about the whole situation that was his existance in another way. He might have taken it out on some mortal who had no appreciation of life, but he was in no mood for violence.

Raskolnikov took off his functional and memorable clothes which looked like they were antique, and put on some faded blue jeans. Faded and torn in many places, not deliberately done to look fashionable. The blue jeans could hardly look fashionable on him on the first place, they just looked they were bought and worn because he was poor. Along with his typical worksman jeans, he put on a heavy and ill fitting jacket, which was a peasant brown. The cuffs of the jacket were too large, even when they were tightened fully with what buttons remained on the thing.

Overall, the vampire looked like someone who worked down the factory for a wage that slaves would not work at, than a vampire. His ragged jeans and overall pitiful appearance lended him a certain aura of humility that certainly was not associated with vampires. Not that anyone really know of vampires. Thankfully.

His hair was slightly grey with tinges of his previous black. It might have been grey due to the age he was when he was turned, it might have been due to his slow regeneration. He did not know himself. His wounds would heal slower than what they should, he still felt the cleaver wound on his body throb painfully. He had bandaged the wound well however, to prevent blood from seeping through his jacket. Not that it would have made a difference, but he did not like having blood upon his clothes. It just raised suspicion, and raised pointless questions from people. His hair was long and whispy around the front. He had tied his hair at the back into a small ponytail, which seemed to have no strength of character. His small amount of stubble on his chin looked like it had been maintained or looked after for months. His hair did nothing to add to his style or presentability, but neither his stubble or his ponytail was the point.

What was the point?

The question was a repeated and frustrating question, one that he refused to address right now. How could he address it? He did not know the answer. Trying to answer it just made him for mad, the circles of thought providing nothing but frustration. That circle of questions was the one reason why he went out anymore, to socialise with mortals. Mortals had a point. Mortals had a drive, a vision, a dream. Those who did not, those who were wasting life with each breath, those were not for socialising.

Those mortals were cancer, and had to be removed. It was quid pro quo to society overall, the ones who did not appreciate life and were wasting it were removed to let ones who did space to do it in, and he remained alive. That was how Raskolnikov weakly justified it, but that explaination was not explaination enough. He knew it would not hold up, and it was utterly idealistic. He knew the reason why he was doing that. He was selfish because he wanted to carry on living, but he could do it without guilt this way. Everyone has a way of escaping blame somehow, some idealogy which prevented them from getting blamed.

At least, he thought to himself, he was not taking obscene pleasure in torturing people and mocking how pitiful they were. No, Raskolnikov never mocked mortals. In many ways, he respected and admired mortals. One of the many reasons he shunned the vampire community, and why the vampire community knew who he was. But not his name. They knew of a strange vampire that hates his own kind! Such a freak, such an oddity to behold!

Raskolnikov did not care.

On this night, he went out of the factory as he did usually, to feed. His hunger was not huge, and he mostly did it just to survive. He did not find too much pleasure in the whole affair, apart from the obvious taste of blood. But he did not relish the hunt, the fear in the hunted's eye. He could not do that.

He walked out, to wander the streets, under flickering streetlights, to go to bars to talk, to talk with the homeless. Whatever came his way. A vagabond, a highly unorthodox vampire who was well known by vampires due to eccentricity.

No-one knew his name. He was just a vagabond in name and title, a vampire of some age who was not right in the mind, who lived in a factory.

A young woman, looking to be about 20, got up from her table and waled to the washroom at the back of the dinner. Dimitri had his target. The moment the girl closed the door behind her, he stood and slowly made his way back to the room. It was stil busy enough that nobody in the diner noticed his advance. He reached the door and pressed the handle.

Unlocked. Good.

He quickly slipped inside, to the girl's alarm. But as the door closed and Dimitri reached behind himself to lock it, the girl's gaze fell into his eyes and she could not scream. She turned from the sink and came to him, as if in a trance. Dimitri smiled, baring the tips of his enlongated canines. The girl stopped right in front of him.

"Such a pretty thing," Dimitri told her, reaching over and stroking her cheek. "What's your name?"

"Megan," the girl replied.

Dimitri could smell the fear on her, but it was mixed with something else; excitement. He knew the sensation well. It seems that he managed to find a virgin in the little diner. This only added to his enjoyment of the matter. He leaned over, as if to kiss her neck. The girl moaned softly as his lis touched but fell silent imidiately as his teeth penitrated. He drank from her, and yet she could not scream. She did not want to scream. The feeling was intoxicating for her, almost pleasurable. She surrendered herself antirely to her attacker, and he wasted not.

A moment later and the girl was dry, and slightly blue in the skin. Dimitri wiped his mouth with a finger, then sucked the remaining blood off of it.

"Thank you, Megan," he said to the corpse.

He turned and unlocked the door. The time for him to take his leave had come. It would be sunrise in a few hours and he still had ahile to go. He shut off the light and opened the door, casually walking out and back into the diner. He paused at his table long enough to throw down a couple of bills for the meal, then headed for the door. Looking back as he left, the girls group of friends still had not noticed her missing. With a smirk, he pushed through the door, out of the diner.

"Got enni change?"

The vampire stopped in his tracks, and turned slightly to look at the homeless man who was sat rather snugly in his sleeping bag. Looking at him for a few moments seemed to be needing a good shave and a good wash, and perhaps some new clothes. Much like himself he supposed.

"Why should I give you any?" Raskolnikov said, his pose nonchalent and his manner overwhelming with coyness. His pose was half turned, his attentions half granted to the beggar on the street and half on his path ahead. His hands were deep in his heavy jacket, a typical pose which he had. If you had your hands in your pockets it usually meant you had something on your mind, or you were a thug. Either way, people left you alone more often.

The beggar gave out his best and practiced pleading look, along with the typical response of "I'm hungry."

Raskolnikov was interested in the matters of mortals. And this situations was a dilema which was based around his excuse to himself on why he should feed on worthless people. This beggar is leaching off others, and should be removed. He was mroe likely going to use the money he was getting on drugs, his next fixed. It could be viewed in that manner, and so he could give the beggar a baleful eye and then drain him. But then again, this man might just be down on his luck. Might just be a man who is unemployed without any hope.

"Come with me, and I will get you some food." Raskolnikov said, with an odd sort of smile. It was not the response the beggar was expecting. Usually it was one of two things that met the request, a sympathetic throwing of change, or a downward glance which reminded him that he was in the gutter. But, there was something about the man which did not seem suspect. Raskolnikov did not look suspicious, not with his clothing and rather poor look about him. The stranger had eyes which suggested some recent worry or stress, perhaps sleepless nights. Something within the beggar wanted to follow him.

"Al..alright."

When someone offers to buy you some food, and you have been hungry for the last five hours, your mind might not trust the person, but the stomach demands to be filled. Raskolnikov helped the begger up off his feet. The beggar had cold hands too.

The vampire and beggar made an odd walking pair, seemingly like one another. They started talking on the way to a nearby cafe, mostly a one sided conversation. Most people when asked about thier lives were more than happy to indulge you in the minor parts, and that was exactly how the benifactor of a future meal liked it. He wanted to know what made the beggar ticked, and he soon discovered that the story was full of betrayal and ill fortune. The beggar bhad once been a sucessful buisnessman, but lost his job and company due to a change in the winds and some other family members taking advantage of him.

The beggar now was not going to be drained of his life force. In fact, he was going to get a lift off his feet.

They walked to the cafe, and the two approached the door, the vampire saw the other one. Another vampire, walking out, with a small contented smile upon his lips. Unknown to Raskolnikov, that vampire's name was Dimitri, and unknown to Dimitri, the vampire with the beggar beside him was called Raskolnikov, a recognisable vampire due to his clothing, hair, face and general outlook on life. An outcast to vampire society through choice, an anti-social vampire to other vampires. One who was an unknown.

"You better not have caused trouble in there, trouble I am going to walk into." Raskolnikov said. He hated walking into another vampire's recent work, because most people blamed him if there was any figures to be pointed. Everyone liked blaming the black sheep of the perfect white flock, it was so easy to do. The beggar was not listening to the vampire, he was still in mid-sentance, but he did realise that his new freind had stopped before entering the cafe.

"Freind of yours?" He asked.

Raskolnikov remained silent, waiting for Dimitri's responce.

Dimitri stopped short. He sensed two other vampires nearby, and seeing the two walk up to him, he assumed they where both of his kin. He did not see Christian in the shadows. He addressed the one speaking to him.

"I would stay away from the washroom for the night."

A generous amount of money was planted into the poor man's hand, and a quick comment from Raskolnikov, something about food somewhere else and getting back on your feet. Suprised and slightly confused, the beggar walked away from the cafe rather swiftly.

The vampire was now free to speak openly, without him being disturbed by the idea that his recent benifactor was not human.

"Wonderful. Let me guess, you drained an intellegent well refined young man. Or how about a lovely female, with all the physical trimmings which give it that much more of a kick. And I suppose you just left the body, to create the gleeful amount of fear and chaos?" Raskolnikov snapped.

Something was different about this one. He seemed to have some sort of contempt for Dimitri. Dimitri was intrigued.

"Actually, i left the body there to avoid the innevitable fear and panic. Something tells me that the mortals inside would not react well to seeing a girl's body dragged bleeding out of the bathroom."

And the owner of the place, who I know, is not definately not going to be pleased. Buisness might get screwed over. Ever think of that, eh? If you had to damn well feed, why don't you do it discreetly? Just a big powertrip to you people!" Raskolnikov spat the words out, his hands moving in gestures to make the point.

"Ah, the humans. Marvelous creaures aren't they; smart, numerous, and wonderfully destructive."

Dimitri smirked at the other vampire than looked over his shoulder back into the cafe. He almost envied the humans. He had been turned so long ago he could no longer remember what it was like to have a heart beat; he no longer remembered what it was like to be mortal. He slighed and turned back to his fellow creature of the night.

"They are also adaptable. The owner will find a way through. Death happens in this city every day afterall, natural or otherwise."

Grumble...

Rashel's stomach talked to her, while digesting the luke warm food that she so quickly ingested.

"Thanks, Sean, for paying for the food. But I worked this evening and this should have been my treat. You know who the sugga mommy is..."

I don't want to leave my car here. It would be like leaving my puppy here.

She had a cocker spanial, named Fox. He would be sleeping on her bed right now, where she needed to be.

"Sean, how about you follow me in your car and I take my car." She paused and winked at Sean as they made their way to the doors. He should have known that she would be stubborn. She was stubborn with about anything, especially when it involved something important.

"I mean if someone was looking my car, I wouldn't want to leave it here for him to do further examination." She pushed open the door and the wind rushed in, pulling her hair back and out of her face. She waited for Sean to join, he was a few steps behind. He just didn't move as fast as her. She was hyper and he was calm.

She hadn't noticed the two men, one dressed "ritzy" and the other appearing rather in poverty, her head was turned back at Sean. They had exited and were close to the two. She could hear them argueing, but she was talking with Sean.

"I bet it was just another desperate man who wanted something..."

"You simply have no concern for them, their lives are but things to amuse you." She heard his voice and the passion and heat with it.

She waited for the other to stop talking and she said, "Excuse us please." She paused by both, smiling softly, hoping the gesture would help ease some of their problems.

"Sean, I don't have all the time in the world. I'm tired, please, hurry up."

She waited nearby as Sean seemingly took his time to reach her. She tapped her foot inpatiently and smiled nervously, what was holding him up, especially with the weird circumstances of this night.

He memorized her license plate number as she pulled out. There were too many people around tonight, and the Blood standing by the door would probably prove a hinderance. He would be ready next time she went to work. It would be a good excuse to feed on a few of those other sinners as well.

Dimitri had been mistaken about the man earlier. This new one appearing from the shadows was the other vampire he had sensed earlier. Not that it made much difference, although it was interesting that 3 vampires happened upon this little diner in the same night. If the event had occured on some other night, he might have looked at the situation as a sign of something. Now however, he had more pressing matters. He turned back to the other vampire.

"If you'd care to discuss the matter further, please, stop by my condo later. As for now, i have some matters that needs attending to."

Dimitri scribbled something on the napkin he had in his pocket and handed it to the other vampire. It read:

By the time Dimitri had finished up all he needed to that night, both in and out of his apartment, the sun was just peeking over the horizon. Dimitri stood out on his balcony, surounded by necro-tempered glass windows to prtect himself from the sun's rays. He sipped a pit of the gin from the glass he held and watched the sunrise. This was probibly his greatest disappointment with being a vampire; not being able to feel he sun on his skin. The sight made him meloncaly, but still he watched. The sky burned with color; red and blue and yellows. He sighed to himself as the sun rose entirely ove the horizon and gave a dramatic back-lit view of the city. Then he turned and walked off the balcony, pressing a switch on the wall. Dark curtains spread out over the window and the room slipped back into twilight. Dimitri set his half empty glass on his dinning room table and walked into his sleeping chambers. Leaving the other Blood to their tasks at the resteraunt, he started down the street, walking slowly. Before long he came to a church, with spires reaching for the heavens in an eternal gesture of hope. A church was surprizingly safe. Perhaps it was because of his own faith. He whispered a prayer as he crossed the threshold, but did not bless himself. Christian found what he was looking for as if he had been a parishioner here all his lift. Dimitri awoke once again about an hour before sunset. He rolled out of bed and walked over to his windo and rolled the curtains back again. A different set of colors accompanied the sunset than the sunrise, though it was no less spectacular. Dimitri descided he had just enough time for a shower before the night once again became his domain. He stripped down and stepped in, starting the water. The ice cold water helpped him sort his way through the dreams he had had that day. Dimitri had always had sort of a second sight while he was unconcious. He had considered testing himself for ESP, but had descided he would rather not know. Being a vampire was enough, he did not need to be a vampire with vissions. Yet his subconscious would not be denied and his dreams this day where troubled with senses of dispare and hoplessness; he had recieved flashes of sights, of sounds, of smells. All the signs pointed to one thing. Death. As the cold water ran down his skin, the flashes became clearer. There was a girl and a man. Their faces where never seen, but Dimitri saw they're figures, and some of their appearnce. The girl was young and dressed for a night on the town prehaps. The man was tall and wore dark clothes; some sort of medallian or symbol danged from a chain around his neck, but Dimitri could not see what.

When he could bear no more of the vision or the feelings, he shut off the water and dressed himself. the sun was still a few degrees above the horizon, so Dimitri waited in front of the window.

"Amazing how a world of such beauty can have such wretched things on it" he mused sorrowfully to himself.

He picked up the forgotten glass of gin from the morning and downed the rest of it. Something told him this would be a long night.

With the last rays of sun just touching his face, Dimitri prepared to go out. He grabbed his long dark brown coat, his pair of Desert Eagles and holster belt, and his flask. He tucked the flask into the inside pocket of the coat and straped on the belt, slapping the weapons into their slots around his back. He walked out his door and made his way down onto the street. He opted to go without a tansportation that night. As he wandered the dimmly lit street he passed a TV store that was just closing up. There was a story about a girl found dead in a bathroom early that morning. Dimitri mentally kicked himself.

"Just had to pick a public place, didnt you." he told himself.

Dimitri feared he may have to change his name again. It was not like this was the first time he would have to do so, but it was still an inconviniance.

It was a clear night, and had it not been for all the light polution in the heart of the city Dimitri could have seen the stars. He missed the stars sometimes, but he found it easy to get lost in the crowd of a city rather than out in the contry somewhere. He nearly bumbed into a man crossing the other way. Dimitri knew this man was a vampire, but they where so comon on the streets at night now adays that he barely payed it any notice. He noticed the cross around the neck, but nothing more. Dimitri smirked to himself, enjoying the irony of a vampire wearing a cross. He turned the corner and headed for the edge of town. Prehaps the stars would be more visible there.

"Gee, you're early. I just finished in the shower." SHe walked back into her room to change. "Lucky you because if you would have been earlier you would have had to wait outside for like ever." She yelled from her room.

She slipped on a body fit tank top and skin tight jeans. The damp towels fell on the bathroom floor. Her hair dripped over her exposed skin and she walked out into the living room where Sean had planted his rump on her black leather couch.

His eyes were glued to the television. Something about a girl in some bathroom. She wasn't paying attention and neither was he cause she just asked him three times what his plans for the evening was.

She wiped her head and sprayed his face with her water drenched hair. She wandered back into the bathroom. "Got to put my face on." She laughed.

Sean muttered something to himself. A girl had been murdered in the resturant he and Rashel had been to. He looked up at Rashel, his mind blank for several seconds before getting hit by the water.

"Hey! I don't need to get wet."

When she came back out, Sean stood and wrapped his arm around her waist.

"Well, since it seems you are working tonight and have been badgering me to come over...thought I might do that. I'll drive ya, my car is outside."

Christian watched this other vampire as they passed, his eyes flashing a ghostly amber shade. It was a telltale and uncontrollable sign of his particular line of vampire. No one knew why it happened. Something passed from sire to fledgling, much like instinct, only without any noticible benefit. There were only three or so lines which held this characteristic still surviving, and they could trace their roots back to the earliest of their kin. Some rumered the lines descended directly from the First Brood. Other lines had evolved past this, probably for survival more than anything.

He glanced back over his shoulder as the stranger continued on without confrontation. Christian recognized him from the resteraunt last night. Yes, he had been one of the two arguing by the door. Must be native to the area, or trying to establish territory. Shrugging it off, he continued on his way.

The view of the sky was indeed clearer at the outskirts of the city. He could see most of the pominant constilations. As Dimitri lost track of himself amungst the stars above, clouds began to roll in, blocking his view of them. Dimitri sighed.

"Enough star gazing for one night." he told himself.

He turned and started back into the heart of the city. Along the way he stopped at a hotdog stand and picked himself up a snack, complete with all the fixings. The air was thick with the scent of youth. Clubs and bars where opening and the young and viril where coming ot to play. Dimitri always loved to be out on the streets for this; it was intoxicating. He found himself a bench a block away from one of the clubs and stretched out on it. He munched on his dog and watched the people go to and fro. When the snack was gone he lay down and looked up at his now overcast sky, basking in the feel of the night.

She playfully pushed him a bit and squirmed out of his arms. She dodged him grabbing her bag and smacked his butt. She ran out the door, "Hurry up, last one there has to buy dinner tonight."

Sean was fast and even her starting off first they arrived at the same time. She was huffing,"Guess it is dutch."

She sat in the passenger side and was quiet for the majority of the ride. Sean pulled into the parkinglot and she looked at him.

"Sean, do you think that creep will be here tonight?"

A look of worry could be seen easily in her eyes.

A looming neon sign proclaimed the temple of sin which was Club Raine. Bright letters projected their godless message into the night, drawing in the weak and corrupted like moths to flame. The building itself had a pulse, pounding away in the bass of some trendy song as if it was in fact living. Christian frowned and smiled all at once, pulling his coat tighter about his form. He only need endure this evil for a little while. Rather than entering this pantheon of iniquity, he leaned against the cool brick wall to observe. And it wasn't long before one of the burlesque beauties approached him, diverting from her usual path to work with a small smile. Something about the Arduer he carried often had that effect.

"Hi there, I'm Alexis," came her shy introduction, with hands clasped nervously before her.

Christian smiled, fingering a single curl of her red hair. Gently he took one of her hands in his, raising her knuckles to his lips in a timeless gesture. Her blush was pleasing to the eye, complementing both her complexion and her fiery tresses.

"I'll have that with me. I'll escort you to your room, hang out outside, take you to the floor and watch from the floor. If I see him, I'll keep and eye on him and only pull that out if he makes a threating move to you. But, I don't think he will show. Might know you work here, but not your work time. A large number of people always demanded a large number of authorities, especially at night; this night was no different. A pair of police officers spotted Dimitri sprawled out on the bench and must have assumed that he was a drunk passed out, which of course, they could not allow. At least, not in view of the public. They moved over to Dimitri's side and one of them poked him with his nightstick.

"Oi, wake up." the man said.

Dimitri opened his eyes and looked at the officers. He'd heard them coming, but had thought nothing of it. He smirked to himself and returned to his previous position.

"Something i can help you gentlemen with?" he stated cooly.

"You can't be here." the officer said. The policemen where obviously trying to look intimidating; chests puffed out and bellies sucked in. Typical inner city cops.

"And why not? This is a public bench, isn't it?"

The officers must have thought that this "drunk" was being smart with them, which of course, Dimitri was. The officer and his partner reached down, each one grabing one of Dimitri's arms.

"This is your final warning sir. Move or we will remove you." the officer said.

Dimitri was not prone to violence, but he also was not a fan of being threatened. He opened his eyes again and looked at the officer. There was no amusement in his eyes this time.

"Take your hands off me and walk away. That is your only warning." Dimitri said, annoyance dripping from every word.

The officers looked taken aback for a moment, then they removed their hands and drew their pistols. It was the other officer's turn to speak. and he spoke only one word as they both leveled their weapons.

"Move!"

Dimitri needed no more invitation. He swept his legs out off the bench, cathing the first officer off blance and knocking his legs out from under him. The officer fell forward over Dimitri's shoulder. Dimitri caught him and reversed the officer's arm, pointing his weapon at the second officer. both fired at the same time; The officer's bullet caught his partner in the back of the leg, Dimitri's hit the second officer right in the throat. He went down instantly. Dimitri then broke the first officer's wrist turning the weapon back on its wielder and pulled the trigger. The first officer died as quickly as his partner. The entire scene took less tan 5 seconds, but it would no doubt have caused Dimitri some unwanted attention. He slipped the officer off his shoulder and behind the bench, then stood and walked down a block. He saw other officers running in the direction he had come from and knew he had little time. He ducked into the next club he found; Club Raine. Once inside, he quickly lost himself in the crowd.

Walking down the street was a beautiful woman wearing a black and red, lace, rather short dress that showed off all her curves. She was people watching, and particularly, the men were watching her. Aiesha paid no attention as she was looking at the various clubs... taking in the atmosphere. My how the world had changed over 3000 years. Aeisha was a descendent of the first brood, her Sire killed over 500 years ago.

She only recently arrived here, and this was her first night out on the town. The number of Vampires here surprised her. So many… It was comforting to her. Aiesha was hoping to meet more of her kind while out tonight.

Feeling a strong presence of vampires in a club called 'Club Raine', she entered the crowded club, not realizing what type of club it was… however, it didn't matter. There were plenty of vampires here. Perhaps she would meet someone here, and even if she didn't, she had to feed.

Aiesha found an empty space at one of the tables, and it did not take long before several men approached her and offered to buy her a drink. She declined. She was intent on meeting other Vampires. When the waitress came around, she ordered a Shiraz, and gazed at the various people, when she noticed a vampire walking through the crowd. He had black hair, and when he came close enough, her eyes flickered gold. Aiesha was able to see he had beautiful violet eyes.

Her eyes were always flickering and flashing different colors and it was quite noticeable. Sometimes they would flicker as bright as a camera flash. She never knew when that would happen She did not like being so conspicuous, and much of the time, she wore sunglasses at night. She happened to forget them this night.

"Hello, I'm Aiesha. Pleased to meet you Victor." She smiled at him. "I have to admit, I'm a bit embarrassed. I didn't realize what kind of club this was!" She laughed.

I'm going to ask him straight out right now. I'm not going to play any mind games.

Quickly becoming serious, Aiesha put the cards on the table. "Victor, please sit down. I want to let you know that I am aware you are a Damphir." She looked for any reaction on his face. The halfling he had met the previous night was nearby and he did not wish to make a confrontation. At least, not here. As he walked away from the female vampire he left a small thought, an impression within her; enough for her to know his name and that she should seek him out later that evening. Dimitri moved through the crowd and sat down on a bar stool next to a human man. The man looked vaguely familiar, but Dimitri could not place the face. She would not stand near Dimitri, but she knew she couldn't look at him for fear of the flash. She would speak telpathically to him.

Aiesha walked to the bar, standing at the adjacent side. Several men offered to buy her drinks, but she politely declined. One of them, obviously drunk began to get a little out of hand.

"C'mon baby... lemme buy ya drnk." He slurred, while putting his arm around her. She turned to face him and looked him in the eyes.

"Dimitri, you may have noticed a damphir has joined me. I don't know if he will still be there when I get back to the table. As usual, he's looking for his father." She grinned. "I am not sure when I will be able to get away. He senses other vampires here. He told me as much."

She was interrupted by the bartender. Aiesha paid for her drink, and when she reached into her purse, she found her sunglasses! She was delighted and immediately put them on. People were looking at her oddly. If anyone asked, she had an eye condition.

Aiesha thought to herself; The reason they can't locate this vampire, is because he's slightly outside the club. And he has a strange presence.

Being so old gave her a bit more power and ability than most the other vampires. Her sire was Marius, therefore much of his power was passed to her. Marius... I miss you. She thought.

Dimitri smirked and looked at the nearby table with a few men sitting at it. He whistled to get there attention and flicked his wrist in a shooing manor.

"Comondeering this table. Thank you."

Seeing Dimitri leaving and satisfied there would be no confrontation, Aiesha left and headed to a goth club called "The Cave". Good music, pleasant people... fetish people she smiled. She really didn't feel dressed for a goth club so she slipped into a store two doors down and bought a tight form fitting leather dress. Short, and split down the center about down to her waist and laced and tied on top. Very revealing. Bought and changed into fishnets, and some over the knee patent leather boots, and a leather and chain collar. She darkened her makeup. Black/red lipstick. Lots of eyeliner and mascara. She was ready to go.

Aiesha left the store, putting her other clothing into a bag from the store. Off to "The Cave"

As Aisha ducked out of the club, Dimitri was able to catch a bit of her scent. Enough that he would be able to track her. He waited a moment outside the door to reduce any suspicion. As he waited he loked over at the scene by the bench he had occupied earlier that evening. there where several police cars and yellow tape around the bench, as well as an ambulance. Dimitri kicked himself for doing something in public again. After a moment, he began after the woman, passing couples and singles alike along the streets.

Aiesha stood out from the crowd, and Dimitri spotted her from quite a long way away. Not to seem as though he was following her, he ducked into another club. No soone was he inside than he was bumbarded by shadow and the occational lazer light. The people of the bar where dressed similar to Aiesha was.

"Goth club. Fabulous." he mumbeled to himself.

The goth clubs in this town had a somewhat seedier element to them than most. Often times, entire clans of vampires shose to dwell in them. There was after all, a ready suply of willing blood. These vampires didnt kill though. Rather, the drank from the arm and left the human alive. The humans seemed to find this to be a rush. Both demon and human gained from the experiance. Dimitri had never tried a club such as this and found the methods of the vampires who dwelt in them to be somewhat dishonorable, but he descided to give it a try. For awhile at least.

Aiesha reached the club and walked down the stairs to the front door, opened it and walked in. She smiled to herself. Just what she was in the mood for. Everyone in black. People chatting, playing pool, just relaxing, leaning against a chainlink fence/wall. The "Sisters of Mercy" was coming from the speakers. And it wasn't crowded. Plenty of seats at the bar. A small dance floor.

As usual, when she walked to the bar, half the room turned to look at her. She ignored them all and took a seat at the bar away from everyone else.
The bartender approached her. "What may I get you this evening miss?"

Aiesha had her usual: "Shiraz please." It had always been her very favorite wine, although right now, she wished there was some blood in it.

IC. Aiesha was enjoying her wine when she felt a familiar presence. Dimitri. She came to the conclusion that he was following her. She watched him play pool. Aiesha loved playing pool, and USUALLY didn't cheat with telekenisis unless she was playing against assholes. She didn't want to go up to the pool table with Dimitri there.

I wonder if Victor is following?

Then one of her favorite songs came on: The Damned, "Thirteenth Floor Vendetta". She sang along. She was really enjoying herself and the people who began to sit at the bar seemed interesting enough. She chatted with different people here and there. Several asked about the sunglasses and she gave them the usual story.

Aiesha became uncomfortable when she noticed a strange man staring at her. He had an odd look on his face. If she had to, she would do something about it.

Dimitri sunk a few more balls in quick sucession. a few peple gathered around to watch. Never one to deny the people a show, he pulled a few trick shoots; hoping the cue ball over other balls, hit all 6 bumpers in 1 shot, that sort of thing. Eventually he ran out of balls to put in and handed the cue off to the next person wanting to play. He walked away from the tables and found himself a secluded sort of lounge area. He took a lie on the couch and watche the people in the club, with some amusement. Chains, leather, sever women walking arond with men on leashes; this place definatly had a very specific clientel. His eyes fell on a beaded cutain that looked to go into a private room. Dimitri surmized that was the feeding room and kept a sharp eye for anyone entering or exiting it. There where other vampres around, this he knew. And from the strength of the scent, Aiesha was here as well.

Dimitri is such a showoff. Aiesha thought as she watched him finish his game.

I suppose I'll go see if I can get in on a game. Aiesha walked over to the pool table, and since Dimitri didn't claim the table after he won, it was open.

She walked up to the table and asked loudly. "Can I find an apponent?" About ten men gathered around wanting to play against her. They were arguing about who would play and somehow they came to some concensus."

A man with black hair, wearing a black leather jacket with chains and a collar approached her. "I'm Zake, and I'll be your apponent."

"Hello Zake, I'm Aiesha." She smiled. "Why don't you go ahead and break?"

"How can you play with those sunglasses? That is odd," Zake commented.

Aieshia sighed. "I have a rare eye condition and must wear them. Let's get going."

Zake broke... "Guess I'm solids", he said.

Archer looked up from his game and noticed some newcomers, definnitley vampires he decided. Vampires always walked with a sureity about themselves, as if they had a right to be there but noone else had. The confidence had always come from facing death and knowing what it held beyond, or so archer had always assumed.
'Call it even lads' He smiled as the other players breathed a sigh of relief, he was up several points and had been about to relieve them of a heft sum of money. He walked over to lean against a wall watching the game one of the newcomers was playing. He chuckled as he carefully spotted her phycic abilities, no player could move a ball like that.

"Of course... should be fun." Aieshia smiled. Wow, that's an accent! Not an original local, for sure.

Aiesha was doing quite well considering she was NOT cheating with telekenesis. She only did that to assholes. If she was going to lose, she was going to lose. She wondered, if she were to happen to play Dimitri, if it would be a battle of the minds. She hadn't decided if he fit in the 'asshole' catagory yet. Well, she's older, she'd probably win, but it might be funny to watch. She laughed to herself. Balls floating in odd places... making U-turns. She grinned.

People were "oohing" and "ahhing" at her shots. "How did you get so good?" a young man asked. "My father taught me a long time ago." You have no idea how long... Marius... "And a lot of practice."

She guessed that those who guessed her to be a vampire assumed she was cheating. And she wasn't... How about that.

It wasn't long before the game was over. The man came over and handed her a large sum of money. "You won it fair and square."

"YES. I DID." She stated loud enough for the suspicious ones to hear. "However, you keep it. I don't need it. I prefer playing for the sport."

"Thank you so much Miss Aiesha!" He grinned ear to ear. He was probably betting all he had. She thought.

"Good" he thought to himself.

A small group of girls, couldnt be older than 18 by the looks of them, came into the lounge area and occupied a table oposite Dimitri's couch. He heard a few stiffled giggles coming from them, but payed it no mind. He had his sight set on bigger fish.

"It'l give me something to do at least." he thought to himself.

Dimitri stood and followed the small group, pushing the beads to one side. behind was a dark room. It would have been nearly inpossible to see anything for a human, but beeing a vampire, he could see well enough. And what he saw made him want to cringe. He knew that these sort of things happened here, but not to this extent. scattered about the room there where apout 15 vampire, and an equal number of human "victims," all lost in the feedings.

"Weakness; that is all these are. They are not vampires. They are leaches. These humans are too stupid to know the difference." Dimitri spoke to himself.

He shook his head. Along the wall he found a broken chair and took one of the wooden legs. These vampires served only to weeken his race. Dimitri also didnt mind killing then, considering they all bore the same ritual markings as he did on their forearms; the mark of his clan. His former clan at any rate. Quickely and quietly he went around, dusting the vampires and finishing off the humans. They too served only as weaknesses to their clans.

'Carstein is just a vampire, a vampire I'd like to meet again a whole lot. I'll find him sometime, but till then-' he shrugged

"Well, those who know about vampires think we all have telekenetic powers and we cheat! Not true! I'm just good!", Aiesha made a gesture of superiority and laughed.

Well, my real poison is the one I have to get tonight. I have to feed.
Strangely, Aiesha had a policy on victims. She only fed from people committing crimes, or just plain bad people. Since she could fly, she always ran into a mugging or something, and that was dinner for her.

"Well, I've been drinking wine all night. Time for a switch..." She stood up on the rail of her barstool and yelled to the bartender, "Double Beam and Diet Coke!".

She turned to Archer, "I'm getting a little tipsy. You're going to have to tip the bartender well for putting up with my obnoxious antics!" She giggled.

"You still didn't tell me why you want to find Carstein... I mean who he is or anything. I'm sorry, if it's personal. I don't behave so well when I've had a few more than a few." She giggled again.

Dimitri ran a finger over absently over the tatoo on his fore-arm. He knew tonight would have consiquences for the people of this bar unless he left something that his clan would know that he did it, not the bartender. To incure the wrath of the Dux'n clan was death for any mortal, but not a fast death. It would probibly take weeks. And he would rather the vengence be directed his way than the mortals. plus he never missed an opertunity to piss them off. He slipped the steel ring off of his finger and tossed it through the beaded curtains. It rang slightly as it bounced off the floor a few times before coming to a stop.

There's your ring back Taz.

Dimitri let a smirk cross his face and he finished off his martini. Rather than order one from across the room he opted to get up and have a seat at the bar. He took a stool a few down from Aiesha and Archer and ordered himself a cup of coffee.

'People might get the wrong idea about me' His look turned to a smile
'But I think ole barkeep here is more than used to tipsy women eh?' He nuged the barkeeper with an elbow, grinning.
'Well, Carstein. You won the game I suppose so perhaps I owe ye at least part o' the story. Carstein broke the rules. Noone is supposed to break the rules. Vampires and humans, why do ye think we've been living alongside each other fer so long? I'll grant ye it's not perfect, but we manage. Now I'v been both sides o' the table so I know what I'm talking about, vampires don't overfeed on us and only take what they need, or take a few more for some reason or another, it's a grey area that. But the humans side, we don't go on crusades against ye. Do ye know what would happen if the average man found out about your people? Outright war. Thats why the few who know don't tell, it would be too much trouble on both sides. But Carstein broke the rules and I'm wantin to be the man who pays him back for it. For, yes, a personal reason.'

She took a gulp of her drink. "And by the way, I'm not accusing you of getting me drunk. I don't need any help in that department!" She started laughing.

"I'll have another double bourbon diet coke", Aiesha told the bartender." She turned to Archer.

"The past is the past, but it's affecting your present, or you wouldn't be looking for him. May I ask what it is he did? Or am I just getting you down with these questions? Perhaps I shouldn't be so nosey. I apologize." She said, feeling a bit like she was acting like an interrogator.
