Aaron assembled his sniper rifle and set his sight on the front door.....

Fiest upped the vision on his cybereyes and began watching for any sign of movement.

Sanchez continued to monitor for any type of communication

Runner had pulled out an RPG and an SMG, he liked to be ready for anything.

Tracker was pulling objects out of a knapsack that looked a lot like frisbees.

Then they waited.......

The men looked around, yawned and looked around some more.

"What are you gonna do on leave?" one man asked another.

"The family and I are going to catch some skiing for a couple of weeks."

"That's good man, I'm stuck here covering your ass while you're out..."

Sanchez thought to himself I hope that you stay out of the way, or you are never going to enjoy that ski trip.


((The team will wait until the target shows himself))

After a few more hours, the blast doors to the underground bunker started to open and a convoy of black humvees pulled out onto the dirt road and headed towards the gate, and to the airfield on the far side (very far in this case) of the team.

((Will they be crossin infront of the team or are they moving away from them ?))

Fiest makes a snap decision and the team starts a low crawl towards the airstrip. Aaron however hits the tree line (I hope there is a tree line) and takes off running, his cyber legs moving at high speed to get him into position before the passangers get out of the humvee.
Aaron will take his shot when the general clears the humvee.
Runner will start hitting the humvees with RPGs after the general is down.
Fiest will be ready to hit the plane with lightning (thus the bringing in of cloud cover).
Tracker will place frisbees in the road from the bunker (Flat road mines).
Sanchez will provide suppresion fire.

The humvees stopped and soldiers jumped out of each in turn, some moving into the waiting jet and other standing guard until the General left. It was mostly for show, they knew very few people knew about the base, and even less knew where the base was. The one who did know and might be a problem.. well he had something wrong that not even Lasix surgery could handle now.

General Johnson stepped out of the humvee and.. (where is Aaron shooting him? The head?)

(yes left eye, followed by a just incase shot to the heart.)

Johnson stepped out of the humvee, turned to a guard to speak and a moment later, the left side of his face was disintegrating. A second shot to the chest punched through Johnson before he hit the ground.

The suppression fire, RPG's and lightning rained down on the soldiers, who were busy scurrying to find cover from the assault. Some fired back blindly, trying to figure out where the fire was coming from.

Another humvee roared up the road towards the scene, avoided the first roadmine, and then was flipped over by the next two.

The damage done the team split up and took off. They had plans to meet back up, but for now they just wanted out of the area.

Fiest pulled out a note and dropped it before taking off.

The Daezmony Retaliation League sends this assassination as a warning. Do not think that we do not know or have forgotten your involvement in the distruction of our people. We will never forget.

(Daezamoni Retaliation league? I love it! the team will get back to Golden Agate in one piece, and probably miss Jeff by a few hours. But I get the feeling James will want to chase after him ;) )

OOC: Damnit, I thought my INSA extermination squads got all of those...shit, did I just say that outloud *shifty eyes, runs away, sound of door slamming, car taking off*. Anyways, Lark, when are we gonna get Harrison into a dentist office or docs office so I can plant the subdermal?

The team meets back up at the Agate and takes the evening off...

(No worries, the assassination might be on the QT though, since the base isn't supposed to exist, people are gonna ask why he was out there. And I'd never kill Pridemore, he's pretty cool. And I was hoping Johnson would get bumped off)

Tracker jumped out of sleep, covered in sweat and pointing a gun at the mirror.....The womans voice was still resonating in his head, what had she said ? She had screamed for freedom, for her babies, for someone named Jeff.....Then he had heard the mans voice, He called himself a monster, if he didn't know better he would think he had heard the thoughts of a cyberpsyco.
Damn, that took him back to his time on the cyberpsyco squad.

He fell back on his bed. He closed his eyes and the screaming started again...and he was still awake. He then did something that was very dangerous, he reached out to the voice, and he knew where she was.

Before he could rethink it it was dressed and armed and standing at Fiest's door.

"Sir, I am sorry to wake you, but I need to talk"
"Come on in." he said lighting a cigerette. "What is bothering you"
Tracker layed it out for him and then waited to be yelled at. The screaming never came.
"Are you sure this is what you want to do ?"
Tracker sat in stunned silence for a moment , then before he could stop himself "Yes, sir it is."
"Well, do you have everything that you need ?"
"Yes sir, can I take the car ?"
"Sure. Don't get killed"
"Thank you sir."

Tracker made his way to the parking garage and then started following the signal in his head. All of the signs he passed on the road seemed to lead to a place called Lyone.

(You want to just write him into Fade to Black from here? And Imi, I haven't forgotten about Harrison, I'm just thinking about when he'd be open to be bugged...)

"What the hell..."

Takeo Katana's eyes fluttered as they slowly opened, he winced as his eyes took time to adjust to the lights in the room.

"Sir??" One of the guards said, "You're awake!"

"Of course I am," he muttered, "What in the hell's going on?"

He was quickly briefed on the murder of Generals Rios and Johnson and given a rundown of the election situation.

"So Williams doesn't know if he's going to run or not? Well, I'll be sure to wish him the best," Katana said as he looked down at the tubes in him, "How long until I get the hell out of here?"

"Another week or so."

"Bull. Get me patched up, I've got a country to run."

GOLDEN AGATE -- Voters have spoken, and they feel it's time for a change at the top.

Just, not the change people were expecting.

In a surprise candidacy, Ambassador Jeff Williams is the new President of the Principality of Larkinia, edging out Incumbent Takeo Katana, fresh off of a return from an assassination attempt, in the late hours of voting thanks to a vote boost by the military ballots.

"This is a surprising turn of events," Takeo Katana said at his concession speech. "I'm very happy for the Ambassador, I think he'll make a fine president, and there's no one I'd rather hand over control of the government to."

Opposition candidate Reid Harrison never recovered from early reports that he was responsible for the assassination attempt on Katana. It's believed that most of his votes were received from the corporate block under their new "Votes for Housing" program, where indigent members of society are fed, clothed and housed in exchange for their votes at election time.

No comment was available from the Williams Campaign, it's believed the Ambassador had returned to Celeborne to be closer to his hospitalized wife.

The corks popped out of several bottles of champaign. The core campaign team head first worked for free, then once Jeff mentioned running they were finally paid for their effort, which was considerable at first after the miscues at the airport. Then it got progressively easier, Jeff's history outweighed the problems caused by the start of the campaign.

"Wow, now what?" one of the men asked.

"I think we need to work on getting a team ready to take over in the Palace."

"It'd be nice if Jeff'd actually show up for one of these things," another man said with a note of bitterness in his voice.

"Don't complain," the first man said, "So far things have worked out great with him being invisible."

Pridemore had just returned to the office when the message came across the wire. "Well alright. I guess I should go down and give him the news."

WILLIAMS CAMPAIGN PREPARES FOR FORMAL ACCEPTANCE SPEECH

GOLDEN AGATE - With their candidate still in Celeborne looking after his wife in the hospital, the Williams candidacy group is moving ahead with preparations for a formal acceptance speech and transfer of power.

Sources inside the candidacy have reported that Williams and outgoing president Takeo Katana are scheduled to meet before the speech to share information. These sources also report that Williams is preparing to ask Katana to stay in power as Minister of State, his position with former President-General Michael Grant.

Meanwhile, other sources in the military are reporting that Williams may receive a less than warm welcome from some of the upper members of the military command, due to his former court-martial.

Hell Bovinian Ambassador Bumpo Blackspots condition has improved, according to doctors at Golden Agate Medical Center. He has received Celebornian implants to replace his eyes that he'd lost at the "Picnic for Peace". The eyes are designed to look like regular Hell Bovinian eyes, giving him the same vision he'd had before when he was injured.

Vice Admiral Steve Mathis sat at his desk reading the paper over and over. Jeeeeeeeeeyyyyysus Christ, he actually did it, he won the damn election.. He brushed his salt-and-pepper hair out of his eyes as he read the article one more time to see if it was true.

He sighed as he stood up and walked to his door. God he needed a drink right now, but a cup of coffee would be all he could do now.

He opened the door and was face to face with a younger man, admiral's stars shining in the light, with a large grin on his face.

"Hiya Steve," Vice Admiral Mark Sutton said with a laugh in his voice. "I was just delivering you the paper, in case you missed our little election last night," he added handing the man a newspaper.

"Yeah, I saw it," Mathis sighed.

"You didn't forget did you?"

"No I didn't" Mathis said pulling out his wallet and handing the man 5, 100-NuYen bills. "I knew I shouldn't have given you Williams and the points, but for him to win out right..."

"Not just that," Sutton replied reaching over to the side of the door, "Him winning outright reminds me... You remember the rest of the bet don't you?"

Mathis' eyes went wide, Oh god... he didn't!

Sutton pulled a pink, bridesmaid dress out from behind the doorway, "I believe this is for you. Now dress up, no pun intended, and march your ass down to the mess hall. You have a victory song to sing to the boys..."

KATANA TO ACCEPT POSITION

GOLDEN AGATE - On the heels of narrowly losing his bid for re-election to Larkinian Ambassador Jeffrey Williams, Takeo Katana has accepted an offer by President-Elect Williams to serve as Minister of State, a position he had served previously.

"I am honored to have been asked by the president-elect to serve as Minister of State, and I hope to be of service to the new administration," Katana said at a morning press conference.

The Williams family is expected to return to Golden Agate within the week to work on preparations for the handover of office and swearing in of the new president.
