The return of Nez'gah! (rp)
It has been many long years since that fateful night when Nez'gah was banished back to the demon realm. He was punished severely by Lord Arithon for failing in his mission.
This has fuelled an even deeper hatred towards humanity in the higher demon. The time has come for Nez'gah to return to the human realm. He is not on a given mission this time. He is out for revenge. The target.... humanity.
The years have made him even stronger. Of course nowhere near as powerful as Lord Arithon. But immensely strong nonetheless. And he's back.
The demon of destruction prepares for his crossing into the human realm. Anticipating the destruction and havoc he shall unleash.
OOC: Any volunteers for where Nez'gah is going to pop up? Warning, I reccomend it not be an important place as it will get severely wrecked.
OOC: How about the coastal fishing village of Yezzin, in Dregruk?
OOC: no problem.... what's your character(s) going to be?
Kazar-Tiyon

OOC: Is there any chance Nez'gah would accept an alliance? He seems to have - similar goals, shall we say? - to Kazar-Tiyon. If he won't ally, Kazar-Tiyon will help fight him, while causing random additional destruction.
IC: The black-clad figure straightened, turning toward the sea. Even from here, he could feel dark, destructive power beginning to grow at some spot on the coast. That looks interesting. Very interesting. I think it might be wise to investigate.... This could prove beneficial for my plans. Perhaps I won't have to wait for a full recovery to continue my campaign!
Kazar-Tiyon shifted into his travelling form and raced toward the coast, the red glow of his gaze sweeping before him.
OOC: I'm sure they could negotiate some sort of common goal alliance.
IC: The red sphere illuminated the high, coastal cliffs. Nearby was the fishing village, Yezzin. The glow could be barely made out by the occupants of the village.
Suddenly the sphere began to grow. It continued to expand until the crimson red light illuminated the sky. In a thunderous eruption, the sphere expanded, ripping up rock and destroying anything within it's range. Once the smoke and rubble cleared, a dark figure could be seen under the night sky. The beast stood over 10m tall, and this was not his pure form.
Nez'gah grinned, displaying his arsenal of razor sharp teeth as he surveyed the surrounding landscape. He spotted the large village.
Ah. Time for revenge.
Nez'gah was completely black. His hide was supernaturally hardened from years of hard work and training within the depths of hell. He sported several spines and talons on his back, head and arms. His gigantic, clawed hands hung to his side and he emitted a horrible smell of charred flesh.
Nez'gah had returned to the mortal realm.
Corporal Ianotti walked out of his office, chewing on his bubblegum and thinking about how much better he was than the people higher ranking than him. His little daydream about kicking his CO in the bottom came to an abrupt end when he saw a gigantic beast standing near the edge of the village.
His gum plopped onto the street, just as he darted back into the HQ and slammed his fist down on the town alert system.
All over the village, high pitched klaxons wailed out and people ran into the nearest bunkers. An encoded signal was transmitted back to Dregruk Defence HQ in the capitol, Ghastopol.

OOC: Slightly before the demon arrives...
IC: Kazar-Tiyon strode into the village, moving with very little noise despite his armor. This is definitely the place that power is rising...
Seeing a fisherman walking through the street, he bound the man with cords of magic, stabbed him several times with a black-hilted belt knife, and then released him. He was watching his victim die when he heard the explosion. Kazar-Tiyon whirled about and saw the massive black figure.
Ah... A demon, and a powerful one, it looks like. This could be very usefull....
He stepped forward, still carrying the bloody knife in his left hand.
"Greetings, demon." he called. "I think we have much to discuss...."
Aide-to-Warchief Yajik ran into Grimzag's room, waving a piece of paper in the air.
"SIR! WE RECEIVED A SIGNL FROM YAZZIM ON THE EMERGENCY LINE 2 MINUTES AGO!"
Grimzag frowned and stood up. The emergency line was saved for the utmost important events, such as a nuclear war or the likes. To misuse it was a court-martial offense. Not to mention that the line hadn't been used for over a decade...
Grimzag read the message and realised this really was an emergency. An unknown enemy had appeared in Yazzim and was currently tearing the place apart, by the sound of things.
"I'm going." Muttered Grimzag, as he strapped his weapons belt onto his waist. The two Desert Eagles were held in faded brown leather holsters. He picked up his axe and headed to the roof, accompanied by 4 of his best. Something was up...
He boarded the black-streak helicopter and headed towards Yazzim.
Nez'gah looked down at Kazar-Tiyon as he approached. The beast snarled as he spoke.
"Discuss? Unless you wish the destruction of this town there is very little for us to discuss. In fact, get in my way and you shall not live to discuss."
Kazar-Tiyon
25-11-2003, 07:38
"The destruction of this town is indeed what I wish to discuss. Well, part of what I wish to discuss; my plans go beyond this one event. Since you brought up the subject, I assume you are planning on destroying this place? I assure you I have no intention of interfering with such a worthwhile goal."
He drew his sword. Its blade was dull grey, and serrated on the back.
"Quite the contrary, in fact!" His eyes glowed a brighter red as he spoke, and the ruby set in his sword-pommel was beginning to glow as well.
Grimzag's chopper approached Yazzim. The troops on board silently checked their weapons and ammo.
Grimzag looked out the window and saw two huge beast, armed, talking to each other. This wasn't good.

OOC: Actually Kazar-Tiyon looks basically human, except for his taste in clothing and his glowing red eyes. He was human, once, and his appearance hasn't changed that much. It's definitely not good, though!
Nez'gah's grinned widened, displayed even more deadly fangs.
"In that case.... let us begin the fun."
Nez'gah summoned his demon blade. It stood several metres tall, with a long bleached bone blade. The surface of the blade was covered by demonic runes and the handle had images of tortured souls which occasionally moved.
Kazar-Tiyon
25-11-2003, 09:13
"Indeed." Kazar-Tiyon licked the blood off his knife blade (though this cannot be seen; his face is hidden by shadow) and sheathed it. "Perhaps we should investigate that helicopter that just arrived- or shall I deal with it while you start on the town?"

Omnus Stormrider rode a massive dragon over Yezzim, on his way home to the Five Civilized Nations. He fingered a small scar that had been created when he fought Kain Irenicus, a few months ago. He had never felt such a powerful foe before. Omnus wished for another challenge...
As he flew, he suddenly observed a massive demon conversing with a human in the village. With a start, he recognized one of the figures, the fell demon, Nez'gah... Supposedly banished years ago, Omnus wondered how he had returned.
Omnus guided his dragon down to the ground, intent upon finishing what had started many years ago...

"Interesting", thought Legnerihes, sitting at a distance. "I must tell Dorusceronis of this development. He may be interested in an alliance."
OOC: Legnerihes Mantresni is one of The Underground City's necromantic warlords (high-ranking official), Dorusceronis YlimNeicna is The Underground City's daemonic dictator.
"Troops, secure the town. Check for straddlers. I'm going to deal with the freak up on the hill. And his sidekick."
Grimzag drew his Eagles and slowly walked towards the demon's...
Kazar-Tiyon
26-11-2003, 01:23
OOC: Unfortunately, I probably won't be able to post for the next several days. Use Kazar-Tiyon as necessary (he's obeying Nez'gah right now); he is a powerfull sorceror and a very good swordsman (the sword absorbs blood with a sizzling sound; it's semi-alive). Just don't get him killed.
Nez'gah snarled at the approaching human. He pointed his large, demonic sword at the man with the guns and unleashed his fury.
A massive wave of dark power sprung forth from the sword and hurried towards the town.
He also noticed the dragon and the rider.
"Be gone dragon rider. I have business to attent to."
Grimzag ducked under the wave of energy and opened fire with his Eagles, spraying lead in the demon's chest as he slowly walked towards it.
Nez'gah looked down at the small scratches on his chest. Then he released a bone chilling laugh.
"Ha. Your puny weapons cannot harm me human."
Nez'gah made a wave with his hand, unleashing an invisible force that knocked Grimzag back several metres.
Grimzag rolled back onto his feet from the blow. He holstered his Eagles and drew his axe.
"Bring it on then, freakshow!"
He charged into the melee.
Nez'gah watched as the human charged towards him with an axe. He was quite amused that such an insignificant being would make such an attemp.
This time Nez'gah waved his hand a little harder. Grimzag was sent flying through air for at least fifty metres before hitting a hard building.
"Pitiful human."
Nez'gah again pointed his sword at the village, unleashing several more waves of power. The energy collided with random buildings, causing them to crumble in large explosions.
The Underground City
26-11-2003, 09:45
"My,my", thought Legnerihes. "This Nez'gah is tough. He could certainly take me in a battle. Maybe even Thintaedkran. I'd better tell Dorusceronis about this guy!"
And with a quick wave of his hand, Legnerihes was surrounded in magickal energy, then he was gone.
Nez'gah grinned as he heard the suffering screams of humans. He began to stride towards the village, slashing nearby buildings with his sword. It had been too long since he had last been in the human world and he wanted to enjoy every moment of it.
Grimzag hurled himself off one of the buildings, onto the demons back. His axe glistened in the sunlight as he swung it down again and again on the demon's hide.
"Die... you... freak...." He yelled between blows.
At the back of his mind, his sense of evil was flying into overdrive. He'd never sensed this much in all his life... something odd was happening to him.
Nez'gah was becoming angry. The human could cause no damage to him but was still persistant. The axe glanced off his thick hide with every blow, leaving small scratches.
Nez'gah roared in frustration, unleashing a wave of power from his demonic body. The energy sent Grimzag sprawling off Nez'gah's back and into a nearby building. He roared at the human.
"Disturb me again and I shall kill you. Then your soul shall return to my world where you shall suffer eternally."
He continued his rampage through the village.
OOC: Umm.... any ways I can actually hurt this guy? At all?
OOC: Conventional weapons won't get you anywhere. This is a higher circle demon and cannot be harmed easily by humans.
You need to think bigger. Like rocket launcher.
Also, you have yet to see his true power. If it were a lower demon you wouldn't have much trouble, but Nez'gah used to be Lord Arithon's right hand demon.
Good luck....
Grimzag coughed up his own blood as he lay battered on the ground. To bring down a big bast*rd like this he'd need something heavy. Something powerful.
Something extreme.
He got onto his feet and dragged himself back to his chopper where he found the Vindicator Minigun neatly packed away in a weapons crate. He checked the power suplly, then linked up a huge belt of ammo.
Nez'gah grinned as he continued to destroy the buildings of the quiet fishing town. The sound of death and destruction filled the air as he continued his rampage.
Grimzag wrapped the belt of ammo around himself and walked in front of the demon, about 100 metres away and opened fire with the minigun.
The large bullets of the minigun pierced the thick hide of Nez'gah's shin. He roared in pain as the metal was lodged within him.
"You dare to challenge me? Do you not understand what I am human?"
Nez'gah roared as he unleashed a wave of shadowy spirits that appeared to be a dark mist. The wave rushed towards Grimzag, completely surrounding him. Within seconds Grimzag could hear strange voices within his head. The voices lead to images. Images of the pain and suffering he would undgergo within the demon realm if he was to challenge Nez'ga. Images of all that he cared for slaughtered and destroyed. The voices continued to haunt his mind, polluting it with foul images.
Grimzag shook his head and cleared them of the images.
"I'VE BEEN TO HELL AND BACK, AND I'LL DO IT AGAIN IF I HAVE TO... JUST TO KICK YOUR ASS! AND I DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT ANYTHING ANYMORE! I LOVED, A FEW YEARS BACK, BUT I'M DEAD INSIDE!" He yelled defiantly.
"SO COME AND HAVE A GO IF YOU THINK YOU'RE HARD ENOUGH!" He challanged.
OOC: I hope you realise what you're getting yourself into. Even with a minigun, you're character doesn't stand much of a chance against a higher demon.
IC: Nez'gah snarled.
"So be it foolish one. You know litte of what you meddle with."
The massive demon commanded the dark spirits to attempt a different approach. The mist began to seep inside Grimzag, through any way possible. Soon enough, the mist was gone and Grimzag lay on the ground convulsing.
The mist was attacking him from the inside, mentally and physically. Nez'gah looked on in delight.
Foolish human.....
OOC: Ho hum. At least it'll be a challenge for once, rather than a load of nameless henchmen that get killed quicker than... a turbo-charged Ferrari 360.
IC:
Grimzag reeled on the ground, feeling like a battered rag-doll.
Get up, you fool. You can beat this guy, no matter what he does... he thought to himself.
Grimzag heaved himself onto his feet, and smirked when he saw Nez'Gah snarl with distaste. He brought the minigun to bear again, and pressed his thumb down hard on the big red button.
Nez'gah howled as the bullets pounded into his other leg. They were not crippling him but they did cause pain. The massive demon was losing patience.
"You must have a death wish human."
Nez'gah walked up to Grimzag, enduring the pain of the minigun and swept the human off his feet. Nez'gah was now holding Grimzag within his demonic grasp.
Grimzag could smell the foul stench of decay eminating from Nez'gah as he was moved closer to the large demon's face.
"Why do you persist in challenging me?"
"Because you remind me of something I stepped in, freak. And also because I'm responsible for the people in this town."
He struggled under the vice-like grip of the demon.

Omnus leapt off his dragon and landed on the ground his Hellblade raised and ready. He strolled through the burning village, flames dancing around his eyes. He strolled up to Nez'gah and challenged.
Nez'gah, you have escaped from your prison in the Timeless Realms... You must go back or face the dire consequences...
Nez'gah grinned as Grimzag struggled. He flooded his mind with demonic images.
You have no idea human........
Nez'gah launched Grimzag into the air, sending him hundreds of metres away from the town until he could not be seen anymore.
The massive demon looked down Omnus. This one would be worth fighting for he had magical abilities.
"This is not your business dragon rider. Leave me be unless you wish to be hurt."

Kazar-Tiyon re-emerged from the shadows behind the dragonrider, his black cloak swirling around him and his red eyes glaring. "I have yet to find a foe here worthy of facing my sword, Demonhunter." he said. "Perhaps you will be the first! Depart, and you will live... for now. It is not often I give such a warning!"
His sword was ready in his right hand; shadow gathered about his left.
Nez'gah decided to leave the dragon rider to deal with his current ally whilst he pursued the destruction of this village.
The massive demon stepped over the dragon rider the continued to smash buildings with his lightning quick tail.
Kazar-Tiyon

Kazar-Tiyon grinned as the demon moved off. He had not been idle while Nez'gah dealt with that fool who came from the helicopter; several of those buildings already contained nothing but the dead. His glowing gaze was directed straight toward the demon hunter.
I hope he doesn't run... the Sword could use a decent meal. he thought.
Grimzag smashed through several trees and finally came to a halt when he crashed into a boulder. He yelled in agony, which made him feel somewhat better. Slowly, he forced himself back onto his feet and dragged himself back towards the village.

Omnus chuckled with anticipation. His body transformed forming a lightweight but extremely durable armor. The color became white. Golden electricity and fire spewed from his eyes. The Hellblade rose in anticipation...
Now you will face the true power of a Dragonlord...
OOC: How strong is your guy? Cause my character somehow managed to beat Kain...
Grimzag reached the outskirts of the city, every few minutes he would stop and cough up some blood. He checked the puddles at his feet each time, just in case he coughed up something vital.
Kazar-Tiyon
01-12-2003, 18:01
OOC: Pretty strong... the background is that he has only been defeated once, by a hero that once killed three demon lords alone without being injured, and the hero (Jha'al-ze) died as a result of this battle. He is a powerfull sorceror, his armor is very tough, and he has thousands of years of experience with the sword.... He can be beaten, but not killed- he's immortal.
IC: At last, an enemy worth fighting!
Kazar-Tiyon strode forward. His black cloak crackled with static; his strange gray sword was ready. Shadows condensed into a dark sphere in his left hand.
OOC: Magic and swords at the same time- fun! What exactly is the nature of the Hellblade? Kazar-Tiyon's sword is very strong, and repairs itself. It can deliver exceptionally powerfull blows when necessary, and drinks blood.

01-12-2003, 18:08
OOC: The Hellblade is inhabited by a powerful Light Demon, a demon turned towards the light... Just a note on Omnus's ancestry, he's a human/dragon hybrid, created through some weird experiments...

Kazar-Tiyon's strange sword shot out, crashing against his opponent's blade with a massive discharge of electricity. He then thrust under the dragonrider's weapon, aiming for his heart.
Almost half the town now lay in rubble at the demonic feet of Nez'gah. He continued to unleash destruction upon the fishin town whilst the others engaged in battle.
Grimzag staggered past where Kazar-Tiyon was fighting with some other guy. He now had a score to settle, and he wasn't going to be stopped by being battered around and thrown away.
"NAZ'GAH!!!" He yelled when he saw the demon's massive back 500 metres away.
Nez'gah picked up the noise with his demonic senses. He spun around to find the human screaming at him from a distance. The demon laughed.
"Human, are you so anxious to die?"
Nez'gah gathered his demonic energies and shaped them into a being of pure darkness. A shadow wraith. The wraith hissed as it flew around it's master. The massive demon displayed his fangs.
"Wraith. Destroy the human."
The misty creature sped off toward the battered Grimzag.

Omnus was not slow, when he saw his Hellblade thrust aside by Kazar-Tiyon, his palm extended and a firestorm of dragonic energy was created as he used the 5th Technique of the Eighteen Techniques of the Xiang Long. OOC: Kazar-Tiyon, you're controlling my character a bit... Don't do that...
Omnus was not slow, when he saw his Hellblade thrust aside by Kazar-Tiyon, his palm extended and a firestorm of dragonic energy was created as he used the 5th Technique of the Eighteen Techniques of the Xiang Long. The palm technique gave Omnus enough time to backflip away from Kazar-Tiyon's attack.
OOC: The block-and-thrust was practically one motion. I said nothing about its effect. You, on the other hand, just gave yourself a certain amount of time... enough to levitate to Grimzag.
IC: Surprised by the Demonhunter's speed, Kazar-Tiyon flung himself backwards to avoid the attack. He rolled to his feet and slashed with the Sword at the same time, summoning a shield of darkness that absorbed the dragonic power of his oppenent's spell. That was dragonfire! This is no ordinary mage I'm dealing with.... Looking around, he saw Omnus hovering some distance away. He was handing a staff that glowed with so much power an ordinary human could probably feel it to Grimzag. Kazar-Tiyon shaped the shadowy energy he carried in his left hand into a deadly Seeker, and sent it flying toward Omnus. Then he paused for a moment to shift into his travelling form, which was faster. His black cloak vanished. His armor seemed to condense, until his entire body was formed of black steel and magic. Spikes appeared on his arms and legs, and metal wings stretched forth from his shoulders. Now I must kill him. There can be no other end to this. If he escapes, the enemy will learn too much about my skills. He must die!
The strange black form moved toward the dragon rider, its sword in a defensive position.
OOC: I wish I could post pictures of Kazar-Tiyon and his travelling form. (sigh)
The wraith arrived in front of Grimzag just as he got the staff. It hissed furiously at him as lightning began to crackle throught the dark creature. In one sudden burst, an arc of lightning leapt forth, striking Grimzag in the arm holding the staff.
Soon after, smoke could be seen rising from his arm.
"ARGH!" Yelled Grimzag, as he felt lightning run up his arm and burning it. He desperately tried to keep a hold of the weird staff he'd been given though.
How the Hell does this thing work? It's not like a sudden gust of wind will come out of it and blow away this weird black thing...
Which is exactly what happened.
The power pent up in the staff let fourth a sudden, powerful gale-force wind that dispelled the dark magic that bonded the shade to this realm.
"Cool!" Said Grimzag, staring at the staff.

03-12-2003, 09:38
OOC: We could use some more people in this... either on both sides, or supporting good so evil can use more power. Also, I need some minions (or whatever the term is for low-level servants of good) to kill. Nice staff, that'll help balance things a bit... though I'm not sure exactly where it came from; it seems a bit big to fit in Omnus' pocket or something. Magic, I guess?
OOC: I know what you mean. Nez'gah could actually kill Grimzag very easily but I don't want to go off killing other people's characters.
Just a little hint on Nez'gah's power. When he was banished from this realm, he went out with a big bang. This bang levelled a city, a big one. Nez'gah is now much stronger than he was in that situation.
_____________
Nez'gah cursed as his shadow wraith was dispelled.
"You think your little wind stick can stop me?"
The demon's eyes began to glow a deep crimson as he summoned the fires of hell. The ground began to shake as the power surged fourth, ripping a gaping hole within the ground. After the dust cleared, a powerful being composed of molten rock and flame stood over Grimzag.
"You're stick won't save you now human."

Omnus whistled calling to his dragon. The massive dragon landed on the ground next to Grimzag.
My Dragon shall protect you...
Then turning to Kazar-Tiyon, Omnus spoke in a menacing tone.
Let's finish this spawn of darkness... Let the flames of light surround you and bring you out of the shadow of darkness and into the light...
Omnus rose in the air, his hands on the pommel of the Hellblade, the blade extended down...
Beware, evil one. For you shall meet the full power of a dragonlord in fury...
Grimzag glared at the fire being, and it glared right back at him. Then it brought down his fist.
Grimzag rolled sideway, to see the place he was standing half a second ago being turned into crazy-pave blocks.
Praying to whatever God was upstairs, Grimzag jumped onto the being's fist, then elbow, then shoulder. He proceeded to whack lumps out of it's head with his staff, while jumping from one part of the shoulder to the other.

Omnus seeing the Seeker brought the Hellblade up in one smooth motion, impaling the Seeker on the sword. Omnus continued to levitate in the air.

OOC: Um... the Seeker is neither alive nor material, it's simply a knot of deadly energy with a command woven into it.
IC: "Mortal, I have not had a day of peace in over ten thousand years. That was the last time I saw something that made me wonder if I made the right choice when I became what I am. Human existance torments me, and I am only glad I am no longer part of it."
Kazar-Tiyon jumped into the air, and a disk of shadow appeared below him. He landed on it and floated rapidly toward Omnus. "In addition, I don't plan on you living for another day, so your threat is irrelevent. If you preffer to fight above the ground, I'm happy to oblige you in that."

As the Demon Lord had risen through the many levels of hell, casting off it's shackles and bellowing it's hunger for the mortal realms, it had been followed. A screaming Demon Prince tearing through the planes creates one hell of a trail of destruction. And something had found that trail and escaped it's own hellish sub-plane. Something swift and subtle, with all the substance of a car salesman's solemn promise.
The spirit soared over the ruins of the town, billowing on updrafts of demonic energy. It remembered life, and power once weilded, and a lot of people deserving payback. It only needed one thing. A body.
And there was one readily available. Diving and leaping through the ruins of the town, dodging crushing blows and magical fire. It would only require a simple effort of will to crush Grimzag's puny mind and occupy his body.
In theory anyway.
Grimzag's memories and personality were boiled away quickly, leaving only and empty shell and... a snarling ball of pure hatred that pushed back the invader and reclaimed Grimzag's skull as it's own. The wandering spirit had been reduced to a passenger, travelling in someone else's mind. The whole invasion had taken only a tenth of a second.
A voice spoke in Grimzag's head, "That always worked before. How did you.. DODGE! DODGE!"

Omnus laughed...
I am not human either... I am more, much more...
Omnus's eyes begins to glow...
Grimzag felt an odd sensation in his mind as he dodged the fire-being's giant fist as it attempted to swat him off its back. It could best be described as another consciousness at the back of his brain. And it made him feel like... trying his hand at magic, for some obscure reason.
Just for a laugh, Grimzag decided to see what would happen if he willed the being to fold in on itself.
It did.
Grimzag stared at the small scrap of the once proud being as it flopped onto the ground.
"Too... cool..." He muttered to himself.

"Yet you defend them?" The shadow-disc floated toward Omnus, but more slowly than before. Interesting... so what is he, then? wondered Kazar-Tiyon.
OOC: I was kind of hoping you'd ask what happened ten thousand years ago; that story explains a bit about his personality. Oh well, this is interesting.

"You see well, dragonrider. There are not many who can read one's emotions so well without seeing one's face, and fewer yet who can tell what I am thinking. That is not the only thing I wonder, though. How do you decide who deserves your protection? Surely not on strength alone. And what do you do if two groups are in conflict, and neither holds any clear advantage? I was more like you, once, than I am now. That time is long past, but still I am curious about other's thoughts on such matters." Kazar-Tiyon stopped the disc about 10 feet away from where Omnus hovered.

I do not believe what in you say... Many people have deserved my assistance, whether weak or strong, intelligent or stupid... I do not interfere unless it is entirely necessary... But I do not regret any of my actions...
Nez'gah snarled at Grimzag's petty attempt at magic.
"You shall have to do better than that human!"
With a flick of his talon, the lava beast was resurected and attacking Grimzag once again. Suddenly Nez'gah noticed another presence within the human.
Demon! What business do you have within this human?
Five Civilized Nations
04-12-2003, 15:08
Turning to Nez'gah, Omnus laughed...
You are pitiful demon... You couldn't even sense the presence of another in that human until now... Weakling, begone from my sight...
OOC: It's got to be said, I'm afraid. Grimzag is a half-demon. Watch out for a thread that's explaining all this is much greater detail soon.

I do not believe what in you say... Many people have deserved my assistance, whether weak or strong, intelligent or stupid... I do not interfere unless it is entirely necessary... But I do not regret any of my actions...
"What do you disbelieve, that I was not always as I am now? I do not lie, dragonrider, though I sometimes decieve. I will admit that there are people who deserve help, but they are a small minority. If this was not so, why would they have needed your help? More evil has been done by ordinary people, decent by the standards of their society, then all the demons of Hell could hope to match. It is over ten thousand years since I last met a truely, purely good person... but I have already told you that."
Turning to Nez'gah, Omnus laughed...
You are pitiful demon... You couldn't even sense the presence of another in that human until now... Weakling, begone from my sight...
Nez'gah snarled at Omnus.
"You have no idea dragon rider. Do yourself a favour and cease voicing your ignorance."
Nez'gah spat at Omnus' feet, leaving a large pile of bubbling black liquid eating through the ground before him.
OOC: Just a word to Omnus. I realise this character is strong, strong enough to beat Kain. But Nez'gah could snap Kain. This isn't just some strong lower demon. Nez'gah is almost a demon lord.
Five Civilized Nations
05-12-2003, 04:34
OOC: Well this guy is a dragon lord...
OOC: There are very few demon lords in existence. Mephisto and Arithon been the main 2. They are like the big bad. You don't want to run into them, anywhere. Nez'gah is on his way to becoming one of them.
IC: Nez'gah decided to disregaurd the demon within Grimzag. It would be released once Grimzag was destroyed. The massive demon roared as a circle of demonic flame was erected around Grimzag, slowly closing in.
"Time to burn human......."
Five Civilized Nations
05-12-2003, 15:08
OOC: Well Omnus is the only dragonlord alive and I'm in the air... Now back to my conversation with Kazar-Tiyon
IC:
It is not within our right to choose those that are worthy and those unworthy... We have the power to do so, but we do not have the right to do so...
Nez'gah continued to watch as the intense flame drew closer to Grimzag. The stench of burning hair was already polluting the air.
Grimzag thought as quickly as he could, as he saw the flames rapidly closing in.
Magic fire. Burny. Not good. Roll away? Too low. Jump over? Too high. What puts out fire? Erm...
"WATER!!!"
With his new-found powers that he was leeching off the demon mage trapped in his skull, Grimzag created clouds of magic water to appear over him and douse the flames.
Work, damn you, work!
Kazar-Tiyon
05-12-2003, 19:30
It is not within our right to choose those that are worthy and those unworthy... We have the power to do so, but we do not have the right to do so...
"Ah, but you have no choice. You can help all, or none, or anything in between, but whatever you do you are making a judgement about who is worthy. How do you make that choice, dragonrider? There's no way to avoid making it...."
Five Civilized Nations
05-12-2003, 19:55
Omnus smiled at Kazar-Tiyon.
What you say is correct... It is hard to choose who to help and who not to... But I remedy that by living mainly in seclusion... Only those who really require my assistance have come to ask for my help...
Kazar-Tiyon
05-12-2003, 21:02
"Ah, so those who need your help, and go the effort of seeking you out, are the ones you lend your strength to. That is what I wondered.... I am more cynical and pessimistic than you; I decided long ago that the good within humanity is far out-weighed by its evil...."
One might wonder why, then, he is fighting here... thought Kazar-Tiyon, but he was careful not to show any sign of this thought.
OOC: I probably won't be able to post for the next couple days; sorry about that.
Nez'gah laughed at Grimzag.....
"You may have magical abilities human, but you have no knowledge. You are surrounded by the flames of my world. Water will not cease their rampage....."
The flames continued to grow closer, almost touching Grimzag.
Five Civilized Nations
06-12-2003, 03:28
Omnus stared at Grimzag's efforts to escape from the flames... Groaning at Grimzag's stupidity, Omnus spoke to him telepathically...
Use the staff... Blow the wind away from you...
Omnus then turned his attention of Nez'gah... Hovering in front of the demon lord, Omnus challenged him.
Foul demon, you have corrupted this world enough... As a Dragon Lord and a guardian of this world, I demand that you leave this realm and never return... Or you will face an unimaginable power...
Nez'gah snarled at the dragon lord.
"Dragon rider..... you have no idea what you deal with. Leave now and you may live. I have business to attend to."
With that, Nez'gah hurled another fire ball into the small remains of the town.
Grimzag thought that he heard a little voice... another little voice in the back of his head telling him to use the staff to blow away the flames.
Whatever works...
*FOOOOOOOOSH*
The staff let out 360 degrees of gale force winds that dispersed the flames. Grimzag didn't waste any time as he walked towards Nez'gah.
"IS THAT YOUR BEST, FREAKSHOW?! TRY THIS FOR SIZE!!"
Grimzag held out his left hand and used all his willpower to imagine the demon prince being held up into the air from his throat by an invisible hand.
At first, there was nothing but a slight rumbling... but soon the demon began to ascend into the air, making odd spluttering noises.
Nez'gah was surprised at this attack from the human. He made note that a powerful demon was within him. In a fit of rage, he unleashed a wave of power, dispersing Grimzag's magic.
Nez'gah was growing tired of playing with the human, it was time to act. His eyes grew dark crimson as two blades of demonic energy/flame appeared within his grasp.
"Tell me human, have you ever tasted the sting of a demon blade?"
''Nah. I think I'll pass on that one too. What's the matter, big boy? The puny human too tough for you?''
Grimzag started to imagine a heavy machine-gun emplacement appearing in front of him. It began to appear, but very slowly. Naz'gah seemed to be slowing his magic power...
Nez'gah decided to take a different approach. Grimzag began to hear a voice inside his head.
Of course you're not too tough for me human. I am toying with you.
Nez'gah paused to allow several images of Grimzag's girlfriend been tormented upon his demonic world, the way the images flashed and conveyed the suffering was horrific.
OOC: Grimzag doesn't have any loved ones. He lost the power to love a few years back when his girlfriend bled to death in his arms.
OOC: Images of his g/f been tortued in hell then..... :P
Grimzag cried out as he relived the scene that broke him apart, over and over again.
After the murder of his girlfriend, Grimzag had been put in a psychiatric hospital for treatment. When he was released (After some persuasion from the military, his report said "Dangerously close to mental breakdown. Source appears to be death of his partner. AVOID MENTIONING THIS INCIDENT AT AL COSTS."
So it seemed Nez'gah had trodden on a psychological landmine, not realising it was nothing short of a nuclear one. Grimzag's mind snapped clean in two: All that was left was a ball of steaming hate, violence and insanity that was rapidly flying towards Nez'gah, in the form of a psychic attack.
Nez'gah was caught off gaurd by the blast. He was even more surprised when it knocked him back several metres. But then it subsided. He realised, for a human that was a very powerful attack, but a demonic mind was far stronger. He grinned at Grimzag.
"Touch a nerve?"
Grimzag fell to his knees, holding his head in his hands. He snarled a low rumbling snarl. His mind had snapped. His humanity with it. All that was left was 6'9" of primal instincts.
And his no. 1 instinct was to kill.
His snarl grew louder as he got to his feet and started running as fast as he could towards the demon.
Nez'gah slashed downward with one of his massive blades, causing a large cut to appear upon Grimzag's torso. The blow sent him flying back several metres as blood began to flow rapidly from his wound.
Kazar-Tiyon
08-12-2003, 05:30
OOC: Um, never underestimate a madman... I don't think anything short of death is going to stop Grimzag now, and even that won't be intstant.... Am I correct?
IC: Ignore me, will he? This fool doesn't understand what he's facing. I haven't studied and practiced and honed my skills, while civilizations rose and fell, to be ignored by a self-righteous idiot who thinks he's invincible because he has the power of a dragon and the mind of a human. I've fought stronger and smarter before. This demonhunter is tough, but he's no Jha'al-ze!
Kazar-Tiyon shook his head ruefully at his ally's mistake. Never make an enemy more dangerous... He floated silently behind Omnus while the dragonrider confronted Nez'gah, his sword ready, and prepared a shadow web with his left hand.
OOC: Grimzag may be pissed off..... but Nez'gah is infinitely more powerful. The only reason Grimzag isn't dead is beceause the player doesn't want him to die.
OOC: Yep. Just cause he's snapped doesn't making him a demi-god or anything.
IC:
Grimzag flew backwards, blood spurting out of his wound. The pain made him even angrier, jumping back onto his feet and roaring as loud as he could at the demon in front of him.
Nez'gah had to commend the human's rage. It was strong enough to block out the pain of such a severe wound. Nez'gah knocked the human back several metres with the flat of his sword. Soon, Grimzag will be too weak from blood loss.
Kazar-Tiyon
08-12-2003, 08:47
OOC: I'm not saying he'll win or anything... he just won't stop while he's alive and conscious, and will basically ignore (or not notice) pain....
OOC: I see. In that case, because you don't want him to die. It's lights out :D
Grimzag smashed through a wall, all that was left standing after Nez'gah's attack. He tried as hard as he could, but the gash in his torso was bleeding too profusely for him to get up. Before his passed out, he wrapped a piece of cloth around his wound.
Then he lost consciousness.
Nez'gah laughed as the human collapsed into darkness.
Now to get back to business
The massive demon proceeded to move through the town, demolishing buildings with his demonic blades.
Five Civilized Nations
08-12-2003, 14:58
But blocking Nez'gah's passage was Omnus Stormrider. The hair on Omnus's hand came flying up, his eyes flaring red and golden energy, his hands glowing with elemental power...
Thou shall not pass spawn of darkness. I am Omnus Stormrider the Demon Hunter, Keeper of the Light, Lord of the Dragons. Thou shall be smitten as thee stand...
Nez'gah sighed. It seemed the dragon rider did not understand what he was dealing with.
"Dragon rider. Do not meddle with forces beyond you. You may be strong for your kind, but you meddle with a high demon of the 9th circle. Leave me be if you wish to live."
As Nez'gah spoke, swirls of dark energy began to flow around the being, a sense of dread and evil overcame all living creatures within the vicinity. The sky began to darken, and the waves pounded angainst the coast. Nez'gah was only beginning to show his power.

Kazar-Tiyon cast the web of shadow at Omnus, then leaped toward him, sword raised.
OOC: Counter or dodge. If the web touches you, it will tie you up and you won't be able to move.
Five Civilized Nations
08-12-2003, 18:09
OOC: That's what you think...
IC:
Omnus roared dispelling Nez'gah's fear...
I call up the spirits of Dragon Lords long dead... Come and assist me... We will put this spawn of darkness to rest...
As he chanted, Omnus became ethereal... Spirits began to gather around him, channeling more power into Omnus...
Kazar-Tiyon
08-12-2003, 19:13
OOC: It's not a physical or material binding, it's magic, but I'll assume that protects him anyway...
IC: To his surprise, Kazar-Tiyon simply passed through the hazy form of Omnus. Now angry, he turned in midair and sent a blast of energy like a spiritual gale rushing toward the demonhunter.
Up... wake up, Grimzag...
Grimzag wrestled with his eyelids, and muttered the first semi-sensible thought that came into his mind.
"Bleh?"
Slowly, the illusion of being in a mist settled down, and he was left staring at someone standing in a shadow. He couldn't see any features at all.
"Up you get. You can't just lie around sleeping all day, can you? You've got work to do."
Thoughts of his encounter with Nez'gah swirled back into Grimzag's tired mind.
"I need to get back... kick his ass..." He murmured.
"No can do, I'm afraid. Not for a li'l bit, at least. You took a pretty big cut out there, didn't ya?"
"What? Out where? Where am I?"
The stranger smilled and tapped his head.
"Up here, buddy. You're inside your own little world, while your body takes a quick breather. Anyway, as I was saying..."
---
Outside, Grimzag's battered body began to heal. A dark red light illuminated the surrounding area.

The spirit of the 5th Dragon Lord, Petain Taqw, moved in front of the gale and deflected it towards the earth...
With amazement to everyone present, Omnus's figure disappeared, but he himself was surrounded by hundreds of spirits...
Although nobody could see Omnus, everyone could hear him as he spoke...
The tides of darkness must be stopped. The time of chaos must end... The time for bloodshed and destruction shall be stopped... Begone spawns of darkness... Your time on this world shall end... And you will be made to pay for your foul deeds... Beware of the power of the Dragons... Muwahahahahaha...
Kazar-Tiyon
08-12-2003, 22:43
OOC: "Muwahahahahaha..."? Isn't that an evil laugh, or at least insane?
IC: Kazar-Tiyon laughed. "I have fought with dragons before, demonhunter- both beside and against. They are strong... but not strong enough!" He concentrated, entering the spirit world, and seemed to fade into a ghost- to mortal eyes. He would take on this new threat on it's own terms, confident of victory.
OOC: :D This is getting even more interesting!
Nez'gah sighed. He wondered if Omnus had been dropped on his head at birth, because his stupidity was evident.
"You think a few dragon ghosts will stop me? I am thousands of years older than any dragon. This world is young, far younger than the demonic planes. You still have no comprehension of what you deal with."
The sky turned pitch black, the sun completely blocked out. The waves were now crashing into the village whilst winds began to pick up. The demon's eyes glowed a deep crimson as he summoned a small portion of his difficultly earned power. The demon grew slightly bigger as more power flowed into him.
"Have it your way dragon rider."
Five Civilized Nations
09-12-2003, 04:52
OOC: Not a few, several hundred... The first Dragon Lord was born when the Earth was created several billion years again...
Kazar-Tiyon
09-12-2003, 05:41
OOC: So suddenly you get several hundred powerful allies. OK...
Kazar-Tiyon has allies he can call on, too... but he doesn't do so lightly; this is just warning in case it comes to that.
IC: This demonhunter begins to annoy me. I will not be ignored!
Kazar-Tiyon's sword (I'm thinking about a name for it...) was alive, in a way. It's spiritual impression was dim... but the blade was still effective, and the unusual nature of the weapon was more obvious. Kazar-Tiyon stepped toward the nearest spirit and thrust....
Oh, yeah, and strange fire flared up where the energy blast had been deflected.
Grimzag's eyes snapped open, and he took account of what had happened. He'd been inside his own head? He was pretty certain he was too big to get in there, but still, stranger things have happened...
Like being entirely healed?!
Grimzag gaped at where the gash had been. You wouldn't ever know it had been there if you hadn't seen it before.
Not one to just lie around, Grimzag got onto his feet and walked towards where Nez'gah was standing.
"HEY, DEMON FREAK!" He yelled, taking out a relatively large knife.
Kazar-Tiyon
09-12-2003, 09:42
OOC: See, what did I tell you... he's back.
OOC: Grimzag is really pushing his luck. There are only so many times he can get out of being killed. And they are quickly running out.
The demon world is far older than this one.
IC: Nez'gah noticed the human screaming at him. With the flick of a talon, a massive wall of demonic flame rose several metres into the air, blocking Grimzag's path. This flame wasn't just created, it poured from a gaping hole within the ground.
The demon returned his attention to Omnus. As the dark power continued to flow around Nez'gah, it slowly began to take shape. Finally they resembled the spirits of many lost demon lords. Their snarling faces and glowing eyes, directed at Omnus.
"You are not the only one that can play with spirits."
Five Civilized Nations
09-12-2003, 15:18
Omnus grinned as he floated around ethereally...
Thou shall be banished back to where hence you came... Your rampage shall end soon... I will pay with my life to banish thee, but it is a small price to pay for your defeat...
With that spoken, Omnus gathered the spirits around him. The spirits channeled energy into him, slowly transforming Omnus into a being of pure energy, as the spirits, drained of power, dissipated away...
Grimzag shouted abuse at the massive demon, as he tried to find a way past the fire wall that it had set up.
Finally, he gave up. He reached into his torn jacket, and discovered that his radio was still intact, by some miracle. He flicked it on and shouted,
"WARCHIEF GRIMZAG NEEDS ASSISTANCE! REQUESTING 1ST, 2ND AND 3RD AIR CAVALRY DIVISIONS BE DISPATCHED TO YAZZIM... you can't miss the target."
Kazar-Tiyon
09-12-2003, 18:10
Great, the human's gotten sensible... I'd better do something about this before he calls for more help. Nez'gah can deal with Omnus without my assistance. "The mortal's calling for help. I'll take care of him; you deal with the Dragonlord."
Kazar-Tiyon returned to physical and organic form, sending his disc of shadow to land a few feet away from Grimzag. "I have some respect for you, human." he said as he approached. "If you leave now, I'll let you depart in safety."
Grimzag gave the demon a cold, emotionless stare. He said nothing for a while, he simply flicked his knife into the air, catching it by the tip of the blade as it fell.
After a while, he said, "You know fine well I'm not going to run away. Just 'cause the big lad over there has some fancy powers, doesn't mean I'm going to sit back and let him tear this place apart. The same goes for you. So why don't we cut the yapping and get straight to fighting? The air force'll be hear in about..." Grimzag checked his watch, "7 minutes and 23 seconds. Are we gonna do it or not?"
Kazar-Tiyon
09-12-2003, 19:32
"I'm not surprised... for the same reason I made the offer. Well, so be it."
Kazar-Tiyon slashed, a horizontal blow at neck height.
Nez'gah grinned.
"Is that how you want to do it?"
The demonic spirits floating around Nez'gah once again returned to a misty form. They all drew together, forming a massive cloud of dark spirits until it finally took shape again. Talons and claws exploded out of the creature as it's shape was defined. The massive demon spirit stood several stories over Nez'gah. It looked down over Omnus and snarled.
Grimzag ducked under the slash and kicked out at Kazar's face with his right leg.
Kazar-Tiyon
10-12-2003, 08:51
Kazar-Tiyon dodged to his (KT's) right, swinging his left arm at Grimzag's leg and slashing left with his sword.
Grimzag jumped over the blade, whilst drawing his axe.
"Let's do this properly, yeah?" He said, as he got into his stance.
Kazar-Tiyon
10-12-2003, 09:24
Kazar-Tiyon leaped back a couple steps, drawing his belt knife with his left hand, and moved his sword into defensive position.
"Certainly." he replied, the red glow of his eyes brightening.

(Kazar-Tiyon's knife looks similar to this, but with a black, wire wrapped handle).
Grimzag did his usual tactic of taking the offensive, and charged at Kazar, bringing his axe down in a cleaving swing.
Kazar-Tiyon
10-12-2003, 09:43
Kazar-Tiyon stepped to the left, blocking the blow with his sword, and thrust with his knife towards Grimzag's throat.
OOC: What kind of axe? (2 or 1 handed, etc.)
Kazar-Tiyon
10-12-2003, 11:04
OOC: Alas, I probably won't be able to post for the next several days. Sorry.
I look forward to continuing this.
OOC: 's 'kay. And it's a doulbe handed axe, but Grim can hold it in one hand...
IC:
Grimzag brought his arm up under Kazar's arm and knocked it out the way slightly, but not enough to avoid a slice in his shoulder. He winced slightly, as he smashed his elbow into Kazar's face.
Nez'gah stood around, waiting for Omnus to do something.
Five Civilized Nations
11-12-2003, 15:09
OOC: Should we kill each other?
IC:
As his body became pure energy, Omnus did not even glance at the demon formed by demonic spirits.
Thy time has come... Prepare for thy destruction...
OOC: I don't want Nez'gah to die. My intention for him in this rp is for him to ascend to a full fledged demon lord. A strenuous battle is what he needs.
But how do we end it without the characters dying. Once he goes demon lord, he is near invincible.

You could make another thread (once he becomes a demon lord) of him going after Lord Arithon himself, and the rest of us could maybe even chase after ya... maybe not the last bit, but the rest is a good idea.
Perhaps once Nez'gah becomes the demon lord, he relises his power and decides to go for bigger fish, leaving the battle.....
Five Civilized Nations

OOC: Omnus is still weak compared to many of the previous Dragon Lords... He can only achieve full power when he has eaten the heart of a Demon Lord...
how convinient....... Nez'gah is still way below Lord Arithon, but he will have enough power to attract followers.....
Five Civilized Nations
12-12-2003, 15:11
Don't worry, Omnus won't eat your character's heart... He'll probably eat the heart of Hezekial...
ok then.... Shall we just have a big battle, Nez'gah gets his lordship and buggers off somewhere to start his own demonic group?
Sounds good to me... but I think we should wait 'til Kazar gets back
Kazar-Tiyon
15-12-2003, 02:39
OOC: OK, I'm back. Sorry about that! A big battle sounds good to me. Kazar-Tiyon needs assisstance to accelerate the recovery of his power... a battle will help; so would the "friendship" of a demon lord.
Grimzag brought his arm up under Kazar's arm and knocked it out the way slightly, but not enough to avoid a slice in his shoulder. He winced slightly, as he smashed his elbow into Kazar's face.
IC: Kazar-Tiyon jerked his head to one side, but was unable to dodge the blow completely. He staggered back a step, then, ignoring the pain, swung his sword in a quick overhand chop.
As his body became pure energy, Omnus did not even glance at the demon formed by demonic spirits.
Thy time has come... Prepare for thy destruction...
The massive demon lord spirit looked down at Omnus. It grinned, displayed large, ethereal teeth.
Nez'gah laughed.
"Your chances just lessened significantly. dragon rider."
OOC: Welcome back
IC:
Grimzag dived forwards at Kazar in a brutal tackle, effectively dodging the blade.
Kazar-Tiyon
15-12-2003, 09:58
OOC: Thanks!
IC: K-T tumbled backwards, his armor clanging against the hard ground. He stabbed at Grimzag with his dagger.
Five Civilized Nations
15-12-2003, 15:20
Omnus laughed...
You wish...
Grimzag felt the dagger slicing into him, and he howled in pain. He grabbed Kazar by the head, and started headbutting him.
Kazar-Tiyon
16-12-2003, 08:41
Kazar-Tiyon dropped his weapons and grabbed Grimzag. He threw him aside, with surprising strength, then rolled to his feet.
OOC: He would have stabbed him again, but that hurt...
Grimzag impacted on the side of a building and dragged himself onto his feet. He felt the blood from his wound trickle down his side. He raised his fists and started circling Kazar.
"Bring it on, hard man!"
Kazar-Tiyon
16-12-2003, 09:32
Kazar-Tiyon held out his hand- and the sword darted to it, its ruby pommel glowing brightly. He brought it forward... and sheathed it.
"You impress me, human. It is not often I give up an advantage; now I have given up two."
He stepped forward, his armored fist darting towards Grimzag's throat.
OOC: He doesn't give up every advantage, of course. He's supposed to be evil, after all. By the way, he [u]is[/i] hurt, but he's been through a lot over the course of his life and is quite good at ignoring pain until he has time to deal with it.
OOC: Ditto
IC:
Grimzag rolled sideways away from the incoming fist, got onto his feet and took a step backwards.
"Is that really the best you got, hard man?"
Kazar-Tiyon
16-12-2003, 19:09
OOC: I thought he was already on his feet?
IC: K-T's steel clad fist smashed into the brick wall, spraying red dust and chips of brick. He turned to face Grimzag. "You want to see my best?" K-T gestured with his left hand, and the entire wall exploded. He advanced through the cloud of brick dust, both fists clenched...
OOC: Been away for the last day...
IC: Nez'gah joined in the laughter.
"I don't need to wish dragon rider. Wishing is for those without power. I have the power to make things happen."
Grimzag grinned even more.
"Gotta use powers against the puny human? My my, aren't we the weak demon?"
Kazar-Tiyon
17-12-2003, 09:16
"Be less concerned about the demon, human, and more concerned about me." Kazar-Tiyon leaped forward, swinging his right arm at Grimzag sideways.
OOC: Just out of curiosity, how much longer is it 'till your soldiers get here?
"Be less concerned about the demon, human, and more concerned about me." Kazar-Tiyon leaped forward, swinging his right arm at Grimzag sideways.
OOC: Just out of curiosity, how much longer is it 'till your soldiers get here?
OOC: About 3 minutes, now. A few more posts should do it...
IC:
Kazar's fist smashed into the side of Grimzag's head, knocking him to the ground.
Kazar-Tiyon

K-T dropped to one knee, striking at Grimzag's throat as he came down.
Edit: OOC: He's striking with his fist, by the way...
Grimzag grinned even more.
"Gotta use powers against the puny human? My my, aren't we the weak demon?"
OOC: Omnus isn't human....... :P

OOC: Been away for the last day...
IC: Nez'gah joined in the laughter.
"I don't need to wish dragon rider. Wishing is for those without power. I have the power to make things happen."
Yet thy still wish, for thy power is limited for the evil of thy heart.
Nez'gah shook his head.
"It is true that my power has a limit. But I have yet to reach it. You place too much faith in your kind. You too have a limit, a limit below mine."
Five Civilized Nations

The power of the heart combined with the might of the Dragon Lords is limitless...
Nez'gah rolled his deep red eyes.
"You truly are a fool. Of course your dragon kind has a limit. You are young and weak compared to demonkind. As for the heart, it means nothing. It is a muscle that keeps you alive. It is foolish mortals that hold beliefs in the heart doing otherwise."
OOC: Sorry, I haven't had the chance to post here for a while...
IC:
Grimzag rolled out of the way of Kazar's falling fist. He saw the concrete that his head had been resting on a split-second ago smashing into many, many pieces.
Nez'gah thought over how he would combat the dragon rider using the demon lord spirit. Suddenly it dawned on him. With a massive grin, Nez'gah called forth the spirit into himself.
"Nethgor Entris Akdar Hellios!"
The massive spirit obeyed the demonic command. Within minutes it disappeared, into the depths of Nez'gah. Adding to the demonic power.

OOC: I won't be able to post very long today, and I'm not sure when I'll be able to post next after this... sorry about that. :(
IC: Kazar-Tiyon's eyes flared angrily. The human is fast. He threw himself back to his feet and turned toward Grimzag.

OOC: I must depart. Good luck, all, and happy holidays to you. Sorry for using one of your soldiers, Degruk, but it was the quickest thing I could think of.
IC:
"Troops, secure the town. Check for straddlers. I'm going to deal with the freak up on the hill. And his sidekick."
Grimzag drew his Eagles and slowly walked towards the demon's...
Suddenly, a gunshot sounded. One of Grimzag’s soldiers had returned, unnoticed in the fighting, and opened fire on the man he saw attacking the Warchief. Kazar-Tiyon whirled, screaming. “Aaaargh!!” A bolt of green and purple light shot from his hand, striking the soldier, but it was too late. The man died, melting and burning like wax until only a blackened skeleton remained, but his shot was fired. Kazar-Tiyon collapsed. “I’ll… be… baaaack….” On the last word his voice faded suddenly, as if he were moving away very fast; the black armored form became misty, and vanished.
OOC: A shot to the head, from the front, when he wasn’t paying attention…
It’ll take him some time to recover; specifically, until I’m able to start posting again.
He’ll return then… If this is still going I’ll have him return to it; if not, I’ll probably start a thread about him.
OOC: I'm going on holidays in a few days. So either we finish up fairly quickly or we wait 2 weeks......

"That's the target. Open fire."

On the wings of the attack helicopters, anti-tank cannons blazed off round after round at Nez'gah...
OOC: I'm sorry to leave like this, but my family and I are going on a holiday, so I won't be able to get on NS. I'll be back on the 10th of January.

OOC: Thanks Steph. I'm back and ready to resume.
IC: Nez'gah roared as he was bombarded with shells. The force was knocking him backwards. But the massive demon was not about to lose to a few 'toys' of man. He began summoning energies, causing dark clouds of power to swirl around his demonic form. The feeling of dread returned to all those in the area. Nez'gah began to change.
Grimzag stood up. He looked at Nez'gah being pounded by the cannon on the attack helicopters, and began to grin.
But it quickly faded when he saw Nez'gah begin to change...
Nez'gah had yet to use such power in the human realm since his banishment. But he was far stronger now. The sky went completely dark as the land vibrated from the power and noise emitted by the massive demon.
At first it was just small things like thicker hide and more spines. Suddenly he shot upward, mutiplying his size by 5. His wingspan stretched for over 100m and his fangs oozed with demonic blood. His dark figure grew darker and stronger. The physical side out of the way, the souls of many tormented creatures could be seen flying around Nez'gah, howling in the wind. Within minutes they disappeared.
Once the cloud of power dispersed, a massive demon of 50m stood over the rubble of Yezzin. The tortured faces of thousands of creatures could be seen moving over his thick hide. The moans of these souls filled the area with dread and horror. The lean muscles of the beast had also increased, multiplying his physical strength as well. The souls added to his demonic power, Nez'gah was near full strength.
Grimzag backed away from Nez'gah and started muttering, "Oh bugger..."
He grabbed his radio and yelled, "All units, rendezvous at the front of the target! I'm going to need as much firepower as possible..."
Nez'gah unleashed a dark wave of power from his mouth. The wave expanded, sending several choppers spiralling into the ground. The gigantic demon looked upon what was left of Yazzim. Time to finish things off.
Nez'gah etched a demonic rune in the air, then raised his clawed arms. Slowly, a glowing crack began to form around the outside of Yazzim.
Grimzag was recieving confirmations of his orders, when a helicopter radioed in, "Uh, sir... there's a big crack appearing around the village. I think we'd better get out of here soon..."
Five Civilized Nations

Omnus did not even notice the commotion going on around him. As he chanted a very long incantation, the power of the heavens began to pour down and engulfed him in a blinding light...
As more power surged through Nez'gah, the crack began to widen. An ominus dark red glow protruding from it. The crack surrounded the entire town, cutting it off from the rest of the world.
Nez'gah grinned as he watched the land rumble against his demonic power.
"It shall happen soon......"
"Who's got the heavy weapons? WHO?!" Yelled Grimzag at his team.
"Me sir!" Said one of the men, who passed a rocket launcher to his boss.
Grimzag lined the sights up on Nez'gah's chest and squeezed the trigger.
Nez'gah noticed the small rocket and grinned. He knew it would do little to him in this state, but he would toy with it anyway. With a wave of his gigantic hand, Nez'gah caused the rocket to be struck by an outburst of molten rock, completely engulfing the weapon. When the lava subsided, the rocket was gone.
As the crack widened, the land began to sink slightly. At first only a few inches, but then it gradually continued. Presently it stood at two feet below the land around it.
"Goddammit!" Muttered Grimzag, "This freak wants to take us to Hell along with him!"
"What do we do, sir? About 6% of the townsfolk survived in the underground bunkers."
Grimzag sighed and said, "Get them out of here. I'm going to distract this freak, while you guys make a retreat. Go."
The Marines did as they were bid, and ran to evacuate the town.
Grimzag walked towards the demon and shouted, "Okay freakshow, looks like its just the three of us left."
The land continued to sink as the crack grew wider and brighter. Lava began spewing out of the cracks and surrounding the village.
Nez'gah looked down at Grimzag, ignoring Omnus. Calling upon his demonic flame sword, Nez'gah slammed the sword towards the piece of land that Grimzag occupied.
When he saw the size of the sword coming towards him, Grimzag realised that a mere roll wouldn't suffice. So he dived out the way of the blade, landing a few metres away.
Nez'gah snarled at the sight of the human escaping his blow. And so he summoned another demonic blade. The light given off by the flame gave Nez'gah an even more intimidating look.
He slashed both blades toward Grimzag in another attempt to rid himself of the pest.
Grimzag hopped onto the lower blade, and bounced off it as soon as his boots touched it. He launched off it before dodging the higher blade and rolling along the ground.
"Not getting rid of me that easily. Why don't you head on back to Hell, freakshow?!"
Nez'gah roared in frustration. This caused the flames upon his swords to burst with new energy. Now, even being close to the blades would cause severe burns.
And now he swung the blades at Grimzag, once again.
OOC: Waiting for Omnus to do something.
Grimzag saw the blades swing, and the air flicker around from the incredible heat emanating from them. He dived out the way of them, but yelled in agony as his leg was burned from the heat. The dive fell into a awkward fall, and Grimzag thudded against the ground, grasping at his leg.
Nez'gah snarled in delight as he heard Grimzag's screams of pain. He readied his blades for the final strike and swung them both downward, towards the injured Grimzag.
OOC: Now would be a good time for Omnus to intervene.

Like a flash, Omnus appeared in front of Grimzag blocking Nez'gah's attack with his two sacred swords...
Foul demon! Victory shall not be so easy!!!
Nez'gah howled in fury. He was so close to eliminating the bothersome human.
"You shall pay for that dragon rider!"
Dark power exploded around Nez'gah as he leaped back and slashed his swords towards Omnus.
OOC: Nez'gah just got a hell of a lot bigger recently, so unless Omnus does as well, he is quite small compared.
Grimzag dragged himself away from the two supernatural people. Better the mere mortal stayed out of the way. He'd done enough already, hadn't he?

OOC: I'm back! Mwahahahaha!!!
IC: Far away, a farmer was working in his fields... when suddenly a dark figure staggered out of bushes and walked unsteadily toward him. "Who are you?" the farmer demanded. "What do... you... want..." His trailed off as he noticed the tattered black cloak and armor the stranger wore... and the red, glowing eyes that were the only visible part of his face. He started to reach for his hunting rifle, and was horrified to discover that he couldn't move. Kazar-Tiyon conjured a new belt knife and slashed, then bent and drained the mortally wounded farmer's blood. Ah.... That's better! He stood up and strode swiftly towards the farmer's house.
After disposing of the man's family and enjoying a good meal from his stores, Kazar-Tiyon stood perfectly still for several minutes. He soon sensed the powerfull surges of magic that were resulting from Nez'gah's attack. Shifting into his travelling form, Kazar-Tiyon jumped onto a disc of shadow and soared towards Yazzim at a rapidly increasing speed.
OOC: What exactly is he going to see when he gets near? I read what's happened while I was gone, but I can't tell quite where everything is. (Ex.- are the marines & surviving townsfolk gone, or still in the process of retreating?)

Omnus barely dodged the swinging blade.
Damn't... He's too strong. Even in my fullpower state, I can't beat him... How!?!
Omnus quickly leapt into the sky...
OOC: The Marines and townsfolk have long since been evacuated. It's just Grimzag, Omnus and Nez'gah fighting in the middle of the ruined town.
Nez'gah also ascended into the sky, his massive wings causing powerful gusts around him. The massive demon disposed of his swords and called forth a surging ball of demonic energy, with a slight modification. This ball of power had a tortured soul embedded within it. If hit by this blast, the victim would be captured by the soul as well as being severely hurt. Nez'gah called upon another of these balls, and hurled them both at unimaginable speeds, towards Omnus.
As the battle raged on in the sky, the crack around Yazzim windened. Lava was now openly flowing out of the crack and toward the destroyed town. Anything left within the town would soon be dead.

OOC: How does Shadowfang sound for the name of K-T's sword? It describes its nature fairly well.
IC: Kazar-Tiyon arrived at the edge of the town, his shadow disc easily flying over the lava. He quickly took in the situation and landed near Grimzag. He leaped of as the disc sank, spinning and whirling through the air, and landed facing the injured Warchief. He shimmered into his normal, more human form. "Lava is no way for the likes of you to die. Stand and face me, if you can!" He drew his sword.
OOC: He forgot to dispell the disc, and it is on the other side of Grimzag from him. Anyone who manages to get on it (easy, since it's on the ground) will gain control over it.... (provides dramatic but sufficiently realistic escape route for important character)
Grimzag stood up and gaped, "You got yourself killed, didn't you?! Hell, now I've got to do it again. Let's do this thing."
He got to his feet and picked his massive ax up off the ground (OOC: About three quarters of Grimzag's height, who's 6'9"...). He held it up with two hands.

Kazar-Tiyon shrugged. "I told you I'd be back." Stepping forward, he thrust toward Grimzag's heart.
Grimzag caught the blade with the head of his ax, and kicked out at KT's stomach with his heavy boot.
"Never, EVER, go for the easy kill. It only works against newbies."

Kazar-Tiyon dodged to his right, pulling the blade free and slashing at neck height. "The only thing you can do is postpone your death. Soon nothing will remain of this place but a lake of molten stone."
Grimzag hefted the ax in an upwards blow, knocking Kazar's attack away.
"You snuffed it before, and you'll snuff it again as long as I'm around, you freak!"
A strange looking bird soars overhead, circling above the battle.

"Watch your tongue, or I might leave you here to burn after all."
OOC: Those big balls of hurtiness are racing toward Omnus..... is he going to take that or what?
"BUH OOOOOF!!"
Grimzag was knocked off his feet and thudded against the ground. He got to his feet as quickly as possible. He began snarling at Kazar before launching himself at Kazar's chest at lightning fast speed in a vicious tackle.

Kazar-Tiyon struck with Shadowfang... but not fast enough. He crashed to the ground, the sword flying from his hand. Furious, he struck at Grimzag's head with both armored fists.
"ARK! URMF!" Yelled Grimzag as Kazar's fists smashed into his face. Thinking quickly, he grabbed Kazar's shoulders and head-butted him brutally in the face repeatedly.

OOC: "ARK! URMF!" (collapses on the floor, laughing).
You know, we probably need to get above ground level before the lava gets here...
Grimzag flew away and smashed through a ruined wall. He got onto his feet and yelled, "C'MON THEN!"

Nez'gah gives Omnus the finger whilst waiting for him to do something....
Omnus seeing the balls used his agility to evade them. Although Omnus was fast, he wasn't able to evade both balls. Sealing one of the balls with a lightning chain spell, Omnus was hit in the chest by the second ball...

Kazar-Tiyon snapped his fingers, and the sword flew to his hand. He advanced, the weapon held ready.
This ball of power had a tortured soul embedded within it. If hit by this blast, the victim would be captured by the soul as well as being severely hurt.
OOC: Unless you want you character to lose his soul? You should come up with something.
IC: Nez'gah howled with laughter. He had won. With the soul of Omnus, soon to be sucked into the oblivion of the demon realm, he would be victorious. And nothing else would be able to stop him.
Drawing his swords once again, Nez'gah prepared to destroy the body of Omnus.
OOC: *Has interesting dramatic ending idea...*
IC:
Grimzag ran at Kazar, his ax held high. In a quick, brutal swing, he knocked Kazar's sword clean out his hands. Grimzag then dropped his ax and grabbed Kazar's side and hefted him off the ground. He spun several times on the spot, gaining momentum before he released Kazar, firing him straight at Nez'gah's head...
OOC: I'll change it if you don't like it, but something must happen if a demon smashes into another demon's face at high speeds?
OOC: Um.... nothing really besides leaving a bruise. I don't see any reason why there should be any special reaction.
OOC: Daganit! Oh well... it'd be funny then.

Great Zarkon! How did he move so fast?
THUD!!!
Ouch...
Temporarily stunned, Kazar-Tiyon fell to the ground. It was a long way down....
OOC: Anyway, K T isn't exactly a demon.... This is a good chance for Grimzag to escape, though. It could have very interesting potential if he took Shadowfang with him, though I don't know if you want his attention focused completely on Dregruk....
OOC: Hey, what about the cool spinny disk thing? Couldn't it be lobbed at Nez'gah as a choppy weapon?
Kazar-Tiyon
28-01-2004, 06:21
OOC: I assume you mean K T's travel disk thing? Glad you like it! I suppose it could be thrown as a weapon, but the edges aren't particularly sharp... I guess that could be remedied, though. How would Grimzag escape before the lava arrives? It might be easier to ride it, and dive-bomb him or something.

Grimzag looked at Kazar's fallen sword. The black runeblade lay on the ground, in front of him. Suddenly, he was gripped by an overwhelming desire to pick it up. He started thinking about the infinite power that he would be granted if he seized the mighty weapon... in the back of Grimzag's mind, he heard himself shouting, "DON'T DO IT! IT'S NOT WORTH IT!!" but his body was acting by itself. Without and restraint, Grimzag bent over and picked up the sword.
Suddenly, he began yelling in agony. The sword latched onto his hand and no matter how hard he tried, the weapon wouldn't come off. Black lightning billowed around him as the weapon tightened its grip on his hand.
From deep inside him, a voice bellowed out, "Nez'gah, your time has come. I will destroy you."

OOC: Nicey-nice! Be warned that when K T wakes up, he'll be able to get Shadowfang back easily if he's near it. He made the sword, and has been working on it for thousands of years. However, one of the things he's been trying for is life & intelligence. It's quite reasonable that that has gone farther than he realized.
In that case, it would be quite capable of using anyone it thought might be useful. Considering certain elements of K T's past, it could easily consider Nez'gah an enemy. Interesting... the sword could end up being Kazar-Tiyon's conscience... that'd be- different. :D
I like this development. Shadowfang has some pretty powerful magic worked into it; for one thing it could probably manage a size change....
It is also likely to do things like try to corrupt you to his goals, enslave you to his will, etc. etc. etc.
By all means, proceed with your plan. I'm looking forward to seeing what it is, and I can't think of anything I would accept besides the sword turning against K T. It knows how powerful and hard to kill he is, so it wouldn't necessarily have you try to help him.
I like the way this is heading! Mwahahahahaha!!! Very fun & cool, if you ask me.

Shadowfang is evil in a way in between how Kazar-Tiyon was when he decided to become what he is, and and a creature that seeks power and enjoys drinking blood. It would definitely consider a powerful demon "good prey" (though difficult).

This is the closest I've been able to find to a picture of Kazar-Tiyon's sword.

Shadows gathered about Grimzag in a swirling cloud of darkness; power surged through him. Shadowfang was held in his hand as firmly - and as painfully - as if it were pinned to him with barbed spikes.
He felt as if his bones were filled with ice... as if his blood had turned to fire...
He also felt a vast charge of magic crackling around him.
The ruby on Shadowfang's pommel glowed brighter and brighter....
OOC: Just adding a few more details while I wait... with luck, this will push it onto the next page instead of saying "No posts exist for this topic." Think of ice in terms of frozen hydrogen, not water, by the way...
(OOC: Omnus doesn't have a soul... He won't get one until he kills a demon, i.e. Nez'gah...)
OOC: Ok. In that case, he'll just get burned.
IC: Nez'gah watched, waiting for the soul to flow into the orb of energy. Nothing happened. No soul!. Nez'gah cursed Omnus' name as he prepared another attack.
He was suddenly distracted by a deep voice flowing from the human. Looking toward the tiny figure, he noticed the dark blade within his hand. Nez'gah didn't like the way this was heading.
Calling down massive piles of black flame into his giant hands, Nez'gah hurled the potent demonic flame at both his enemies.

Realising that the human was imbued with much more power, Nez'gah called upon his own demonic blades. Blades that are far larger and stronger than the human can hope to imagine.
Noticing that Omnus descended into the lava, Nez'gah made a not to follow his presence. Landing upon the scorched earth near Grimzag, he pointed his demonic blades at the human, ready for combat.
Grimzag realized that it was really only he who now stood between Nez'gah and the rest of the world. Omnus, for all he knew, had been fried in the lava.
"Let's finish this properly, Nez'gah! Come down to my height and we'll fight properly!"
