Joshua had a look of shock on his face. She was the only thing keeping him sane. He couldn't bare to lose another to war. He lost his first love as well as his mother and father. Now Kenja the one person he didn't have to hide anything from. He held her close and gave her a kiss and the forehead then placed her on the ground gently. Tears came flooding out of him making up for the years of pain that he had endured. He slowly stood up and began walking away from his final battle feild.

OOC:Looks like we might never see Joshua again. Well until he has to stop..opps said to much.

Seni looked at Kenja. "Stop SETH LET GO OF ME!" he said forcefully, and directed his attention to Kenja. Seth looked at her, but did not release him. "Let me help her! please...." Seth pushed him to the ground.
"Why would you want to help her at all?" he looked at him.
"Because I love her!" Seni snapped. Seth looked at him and he looked back. Qui looked to Seni as rage burned within her. He slowely got up with Seth's allowance. Seni looked over Kenja.

Joshua stoped dead in his tracks when he heard this and something seemed to snap in him. He slowly turned around, his eyes looked like hot coals burning in the darkness of the night. the remaining tears on his face seemed to slowly stop. Almost as if something else had finaly gained power over him he walked back towards her body each footstep seemed to leave a indent in the blood soaked ground.

Drake pushes the dea off him and smashes it's skull before another jumped him. "Damn it!" He flips it over him andbreaks it's back with his knee.

The Nomad does not move, simply keeping the energy flowing, although it was dissipating quickly. "If she is to be saved, I'd suggest starting now..."

Do you even comprehend what I was partaking in? You..you are an ally of Mephisto? Kain did not let slip whos side he was on, he might be in the enemies hands he thought.
I have no clue what's going on here. I used to work for Mephisto. Perhaps you heard my name before: Azerzdat, the famous angel slayer, he sent with a cynically proud feeling. That was the past. I got captured, managed to escape thanks to a now dead guy and I transformed myself. No longer a demon. No longer under Mephisto's orders. This bastard didn't even try to find me anyway. Seems like his head has grown slightly since last time I met him.

He turned around a little tower.

If you told me what's going on, maybe I could understand why you tried to kill yourself. Really. Fighting Mephisto face to face. Anybody with a reasonable IQ would know the only option is to run away.

With such stakes, I had to. Those fighting down there....many are already dead, and others will die if we do not help them! Please...I do not want to lose any more of my freinds...They are the only people I feel who might stand any chance of beating back this wave...but...I am wounded....just...just leave me and if you have any decency within you, please help them...

Listen pal, we won't help anybody if we're dead. Now tell me what Mephisto is threatening to do. Maybe there's a simple solution to this problem... or maybe not... whatever, I cannot be helpful is I have no clue of what the deal is.

Seni looked toward her, and fell to the ground by her side at Seth's hand. He coughed and ran his hand along her arm. He placed his hand on her heart. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. He grabbed the dagger and pulled it from her body, then placed his hand immediately on the wound. With a cry of pain, he shot back. The wound was gone, and Kenja's eyes flickered open. Seth rushed to her, but turned back to look at seni. It was then you saw the blood soaking through his shirt. It dripped toward the floor...the dagger dropped to the ground, and he collaspsed into dust.

Domino looked to the pile of dust. "That has always creeped me out..." she mutters to herself.

The Nomad stands and turns to where he knew Mephisto was. "If you will excuse me... I have a message for a certian escapee..." He vanishes, only to reappear before Mephisto, the stone in his staff turning red.

His voice takes on a deeper, more menacing tone. The voice of Anubis. "MEPHISTO! I have been observing from my cage in the underworld, as have many of the others. Your minons are falling. Your enemy is as well. You are both here, yet you delay. Why? End this now and thrust open the door so that we may all take our place as rulers of the Earth."

Joshua stoped. the fire that burned within his eyes suddenly seemed to burn out into a monless night. Slowly the caring eyes of the Joshua known by everyone returned. "Thank you....," he whispered into the night and bolted towards Kenja smiling out of pure joy.

Mephisto turned, and launched himself out of the room. Demonic wings beat. He snarled, and faced the rising sun. Come face me, Azrael! Come, to death!

The Nomad chuckles, the voice of Anubis still coming from him. "This will be an interesting match.... Just see that you win."

Drake had wandered over to the others, coat tattered and covered in dirt and mud. He squints as he sees the sun rising. "Crap..." He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a pair of sunglasses to shield his eyes and puts them on as he hears a booming voice calling for Azrael. A name that meant nothing to him.

Domino knew it however and looked to Qui, a questioning look in her eye. Can she beat him and still make it out? she asks him silently.

"Please...just go down and see it....let me...let me try to help!" Kain shouted at the top of his lungs to try and make him turn around.

Qui looks back at Domino. I'm not sure I will be able to tell you the answer that you want to here. he replied to her. Qui had changed...greatly. His hair had but five streaks of brown left withing it, the rest had turned white. He looked youthful, his age appearance still around twenty six. His skin had become paler, if that was possible. His right eye was now half crimson, and half azure. However, he looked more threatening than ever. The last of the ancients collapsed by his hand.
The ones whom remained standing:
Qui, Seth, Genesis, Kenja, and Rave Azari, Mephistop, Paladerina
The ones whom perished:
Alexiel, Jazz Seni, Marius, Mar
The sun rose over head, forming a scarlet tint over Rave. Her pale was cold to the touch, despite the fact that the winds had picked up and that the breeze from the ocean was as sharp as ice. She wore a black leather top that fitted to her figure perfecty. Black pants as well doned her figure. Upon each wrist was a type of shackle, so it appeared. Angelic writing was written around it and embedded with a platinum based alloy unknown to earth. Her white wings spread out magnificantly behind her as she leapt into the air. All turned to witness the beautiful sight. One of her feathers fell to the ground. She could see him coming over the horizon. She clenched her fists, the leather around her hands flexed well.
To MY death Mephisto? You may be mistaking me for yourself. I will send you back to the firey hell where you belong as I did many years ago, mark my words. I will chain you back into that hell with locks even you have no power in breaking!

Joshua slowly walked towards his blood stained katana. Most of the blood seemed to be of Mar yet some was of Joshua him self. Earlier as the katan had delivered the death blow the sword's sharp hilt had managed to leave a long cut across his chest. Though thin it bleed the fluid of life. Joshua ignored the stinging of his chest and knelt down and picked up the katana. Then like the warriors of the past that used the katana in the gracful maner has he had he shook off the blood and sheathed the blade with respect towards it.

Kenja placed her hand on Joshua's shoulder, still completely in shock of what had happened, yet she still managed to find comfort for him. She had not realized what Seni had done, and it was doubtful anyone would ever tell her. He had betrayed them, hadn't he? He had kept Qui in a comatose state, but he had saved her...
Genesis and Azari struggled with each other, Azari's legs now frozen in ice from Gene's attack, she threw a kick to her face, causing the siren's nose to break after another. Qui stopped her, pulling her back with his strong arm slightly.
"Qui," she managed to say. "Help me." He looked at Azari, and felt nothing. No compassion...nothing. She was helpless...and it was anger and bloodlust that had driven him to to this. He ran his hand from her neck onto her face as she slowely fell under his charm. He placed his other behind her back, then bringing his right through her hair, he pulled her from the ice. "I...knew you couldn't do it..." she said in a whisper. Without hesitation, he bit into the exposed flesh right above her breast. A soft cry escaped her lips, as the siren was brought down. He pulled back at the last moment...and Gene, whom was recovering, placed her hand on the wound. In moments, her blood froze...or what was left of it. She then delivered a kick to the face once more, and Azari shattered. Qui looked to Gene...and she could see what this rage had driven him to, yet she said nothing.

Drake looks at Domino after seeing to frozen woman shatter. One of my favorite finishing moves

Domino didn't respond right away. You always were a little cold hearted, Drake.

That's why you like me, isn't it? he asks her. He got no response though. She was watching Rave, waiting to see what would happen.

Joshua watched wit no emotions shown on his face as Azari shatered. His eyes seemed to have a look that was as cold has the ice that froze her yet there was some pity left in those eyes. He slowly looked away from disgust and looked at Kenja. He sighed hwen suddenly the pain of his wound hit him like a train at full speed. Joshua tall and proud fell to his knees from the pain. The wound had finaly began to bleed with a fury unknown and Joshua's eyes seemed to melt to what they once were, the eyes of the man who cared for those close to him.

Mephisto spat at Rave's words. Ya-hazag, zar sha-tra, hretrea tletya kne tze, qarsti, tolmen del aun...

The gates to the underworld began to shatter, being pressured from both within, and without. Go! I summon forth my dread servants, be released from your imprisonment! Devour Kain!

There was a popping sound, and several black cloaked figures appeared out of the air. The Dread walked on the Earth, once more... and they were going after Kain, and Azerdat. Where they stepped, life withered and died. Ya-hazag, zar Mephistopheles!

Drake blinks. "I hate melodramatic bad guys. It's too cliche."

Domino sighs and backhands him.

Drake:"Sonofa!"

OOC: Trying to at least keep some small hint of of humor in an otherwise really dark story. Besides. I'm at a loss of what they can do but stand around while Rave and Mephisto fight. At least the Nomad is channeling Anubis, so I have some material there...

OOC: Want some Dread to go amuse you?

"It would seem he is going to let me go easily..." Kain muttered as he looked down as the dark abominations came towards them, thier evil forms difficult to describe (because I do not have one :? ).

Thier howls within the thin air of the sky was a chilling one, one not of this world. Kain shuddered and continued to look down in morbid fascination and horror. Coming to his senses, he spoke.

"I cannot fight like this...I do not even know what those things are, if we will be able to defeat them!" Kain exclaimed, continuing to lok at them. He could not cast any kind of spell, not like this. He was still hurt badly...but he proberbly could cast a weak spell to help. But a very weak spell at that, he could barely stand.

Kenja placed her hand on Joshua's shoulder. Suddenly, a emerald white light was emited from her hand. She shrank back slightly. "Oh..." she remarked. Qui looked to her momentarily.
"He passed on a bit of himself to you," he said. "It seems we have a new healer in the group..." He turned his attention back to Ravelyn, whom was in the sky. Her hand twitched slightly, her eyes deep pools of crimson, seeking out something. Qui's eyes went wide. She wouldn't do that without warning, right? Rave shot her eyes back to Qui...and he could see the change in color. That was as much of a warning as they would receive..
"Brace yourselves! Get down!" he yelled at the top of his lungs. Genesis, in knowing what was going on, pulled Domino down as she fell to the sand. Kenja, got low to the ground as well. She had never witnessed what was about to happen, but had heard the stories. Qui immediately dropped to the ground, falling into a push up position and setting himself down as quickly as possible. Had not five seconds passed when a loud sound was heard. A wave was emitted from Rave, in all directions. It seemed to ripples through the air, distorting the reality. It was a vibration that would reach hell itself. She lived by the sea for one reason...that beach...the beach of the dead...and a hell mouth...right below it. She lived there, for if he ever return, she would be their to stop him.
Mephisto, she said, as another ripple was sent. The ground trembled slightly, but it would not break. Those in the air fell disoriented. My pacience runs thin...and you know I do not like to be kept waiting. If you want to finish this, let's finish it!

Domino winced as sand poured into the wound on her arm, but she blocked it out easily. She would take care of her arm when this was over... hopefully.

Drake saw the others drop and decided that maybe he should too. He kneeled and used his axe for support as reality distorted. Damn. he thought. If that was just the request for battle...

What would the battle be like?

Qui looked at her, with a slight bit of concern on his face, in wanting no one to know, he returned in her form, "Ravelyn, fa attenzione. Non voglio perdere mia madre come bene, e Sarah ha bisogno di lei."
Rave smiled slightly at her son's sense of humor, and the fact that he had to speak in the manor she had. That was always the true language of love... she said with a smile.

Apon hearing Qui shout Joshua fell to thr ground still slightly bleeding, the deep crimsom outline grew on his shirt slowly changing the white shirt and staining it with the fluid of life. As the shock wave flew over him he winced as his cut hurt slightly more.

Domino looked at Drake, Drake looked at Qui, both not understanding a word of what was just said.

Drake sighs. "I hate French, hurts my tounge almost as much as Old High Crim."

Qui looks at Drake, Italian... he says with a smile before letting out a laugh. Rave remained in the sky. This is what I've been waiting for... she thought to herself. But will he be able to handle it... She looked back to her son, seemingly fine, though everyone still on the ground. She let off another vibration through the air. Kenja winced slightly. The pain soared through her mind, and being considered young, or a childr of the group, her mind was not nearly advanced as some. She placed her hand on Joshuas shoulder as a soothing sensation swept through him. When Seni had died, he had given her a part of him... though she did not know that her touch possessed healing properties.

Drake sighs again. "Whatever."

He and Domino keep watching rave, not bothered too much by the rumbles.

The Nomad had appeared beside the group, standing without any trouble. Most likely because Anubis was controling it. The Nomad looked to the group on the ground. "Soon the gateway will be opened. We shall rule the planet once again."

Domino's head turned at the voice. "Talking through the Nomad again Anubis? Why don't you face us yourself?"

"Ah... Domino. Dead again, I see. Soon you will just be another slave for me. Perhaps you will not face hard labor though..." He chuckles.

Drake grumbles something about melodramatics again.

Joshua felt his pain begen to stop and slowly he began to feel faint when suddenly he passed out due to his blood loss. But as he entered the void he slowly smiled and turned his head to Kenja and gazed at her.

Qui looked at the nomad and scoffed. He glanced at Drake, "I really don't like this guy..." His muscles tensed. He was but fifty feet from the nomad, and if the ancient vampire wanted, he could lessen that. Rave observed her son, and recognized the glint in his eye.
"Don't harm him," she said solemnly, yet rather harshly. "You've already killed two today..."
"Three's a charm," he said, indifferent to the situation.
"I've taught you better than this," she continued.
"I learned what I could from my father." he retorted.
"You're father? You're FATHER?" she turned to face him. "You're father was a monster." She dropped to the ground, and walked towards him. "I was the one that taught you...he was gone for millenia....I always taught you."
"He taught me the most important lesson though."
"Really?" she said, "Then tell me."
"That in the end you are alone." He said, his face and demeanor cold.
"You're never alone..." she said softly.
"And who is with you, Vaughn?!" he asked cutting into her with his words. She struck him across the face, hard. Blood streamed across his face in four cuts from her nails. The blood dripped down, and faded as the wounds healed. "I'm sorry..." he said softly. "I don't know what just came over me..." Rave looked to the ground, then back at him...and turned back toward the sun. Her hand fell from her lips to her side.
Seth was shocked at Qui, and gave him a harsh glance. What the hell just happened. "m'lady?" Seth addressed Rave, and she turned her head slightly to acknowledge him. "I sense something..." Genesis looked at Seth. "I as well..." she said. She looked at Qui. He had never really told her what's going on. Kenja looked up from Joshua, his head supported by her arms. "What's going on Rave?"
Rave took a deep breath, as about to say something. "Nothing..." she said. They knew it was something...something wrong with Qui...but no one questioned the angel further. "Nothing..." she repeated softly.

Even from the void Joshua felt something was wrong and he had to awaken sooner. Even though he needed to remain there to recover his strength and energy tha the had lost during the fight. His body shifted slightly in Kenja's arms from his constant efferts to awaken.

She brushed a short strand of hair from his forhead, and ran her fingertips along the line of his face. She looked at him with a new sence of being in her eyes, reflected amongst the sky blue. She brought her lips to meet his softly. It felt like the energy was being drained from her body. She pulled back, noticing an azure light vanish between them where her lips had been. She took in a deep breath, and Qui shifted his attention to her. "Well...that's new." She shivered slightly, feeling the energy that had left her body within him. Her hand gently rested upon his chest.
Seems we're all changing.... he thought to himself...

Joshua felt the rush of energy enter his body and helped reawaken him. He opened his eyes and looked Kenja right in the eyes and smiled. "Thanks," he says silently to her. He then reached for her hand to hold.

She held her hand, bewildered at the loss of energy. Apparently there had been some things that Seni hadn't told her... there were many secrets kept amongst everyone present. Everyone had one thing or more withheld from the rest, but would they be revealed before the end?

Joshua slowly sat up and saw that she was weakend from the energy loss. "I should be the one holding you up," Joshua says with a slightly hint of playfulness in his voice as he looked her in the eyes.

"I think that's a good idea," she says in return. She shifts slightly, letting him sit up. Collapsing into his arms in a slightly literal sense, she smiles as she looked up into his eyes. "There must be an end to this, I think we're even now." She says playfully.

"Well we are even for now," Joshua says with a slight laugh "And I feel that this might be going for a long time now."

The Nomad crossed the distance between it and Rave in seconds, standing a few yards away. "Azrael! Get on with it. I have an army of demons to unleash." It looked to Qui and tilted it's head.

Domino looked at Qui. Don't Qui. The Nomad is being used as a puppet by Anubis, allowing him to speak to us here. Fighting the Nomad would be pointless.

"She speaks the truth. I simply control this construct before you. 'Killing' it would do nothing to me." It looked back to Rave. "Well? What are you waiting for?"

Genesis slowely paced, her staff held tightly within her hand. The psion's mind was on other matters. Peter Larks... she thought to herself. Jeremy Witz.... Her mind dwelled upon him though she knew he was safe. She sighed heavily and sat upon a large grey rock. Seth sat down next to her. "Something on your mind Gene?" he asked in a deep voice.
"Rave..." she said softly, even though if the angel chose, her sensitive ears would picky up the faint sound...but Gene was convinced that the ancient's mind lay upon other things. "She's right. Everything she told me, I had never beleived most of it...but...it's true. She's right."
"About?" he continued.
"Everything," she sighed in her own realization. SEth placed his hand on her shoulder.
"It's alright...I know what you mean."
"I'm concerned of Qui as well," she continued. "He's changing. His hair...his eyes...his skin has grown paler. He is either the sweetest man on earth or a total f***. What's happeneing to him?"
"I'm not sure."

"I think so too..." she said with a smile. She placed her hand upon a rock nearby, her head still resting on Joshua's chest. She attempted to freeze it, but nothing happened. She looked to it, amazed, and tried again. "Oh sh*t... I...I can't freeze it." The elemental looked to Gene whom was on a rock, though she said nothing.
"Loss of your elementality Kenja?" Qui asked with a hald smile.
"Yes...I..."
"You gained what Seni gave you, and he took from you your elementality."
"How did you know?" she asked, confused.
"Because you couldn't freeze a rock," he said frankly with a chuckle. Kenja rolled her eyes, and looked back to Joshua.
"Some people never change..." she said with a laugh.

"I thought I saw a change in him befor," Joshua says with a smirk as he gives her a small kiss

Rave turned toward the nomad, and tilted her head back to him. Raged welled within her, though it was undetectable from those around her. Qui's eyes darted toward the nomad, and he lunged toward him, grasping him by the throat. He brought up his free hand to strike him, however Rave's slender hand caughed his wrist and twisted it sharply. "Don't Qui...he's just the messenger."
He released his grip, and looked at Rave. "You're always there to stop me....always there to keep me from killing someone whom serves no purpose to us."
"I am your balance Qui...are you listening to what you are saying?" She asked him. Qui looked into her eyes.
"What's happening to me?" he asked.
"You already know," she replied softly.
"I won't accept that," he said, raising his eyebrow. She returned the exact same expression.
"Then you refuse the truth."

"Yea...the hair...the threads...the freakishly scary eye," Kenja said with a sigh. "Possibly more threatening than before." she laughs. "The talking back to Rave...I don't think even hell would accept him."

"Na he acted like a big puppy when you were out," Joshua says with a smirk on his face

I heard that Joshua...Qui says glancing toward him with fire in his eyes.

Kenja: :shock: [i]Note to self....do not piss him of after he fed from two ancients...and is in a major rage already.

"Well pal it is the truth just like the times I kicked the sh*t outa Phoenix," Joshua says smirking evily meeting Qui's stair head on.

QUi started heading toward him. Rave placed her hand upon his shoulder, and one upon his hand to attempt to pull him back, but he broke away. Rave was shocked. Her son had never been able to break from her. She immediatly whipped in front of him. "Whoa whoa whoa! Would you two cut it out?!" she yelled, a growl in the undertone of her voice. No one had ever heard that before. Qui immediately backed off after he heard that. Gene looked to Seth, Kenja to Joshua. "We can't be fighting with each other...please...it's too much pressure for me..."

"No let him come. It might cool him off slightly," Joshua says "Besides I've been wating for this for a long time." Joshua laeans Kenja against a large rock and takes off his coat and removes his sword and sheath and places them on the ground.

"Joshua," Rave continued. "This is not what we need right now. We do not need to tear each other a part. Normally I wouldn't have it, and now Qui's undergoing a change..."
"So he is," Genesis said quickly. "He's changing?"
Rave did not answer her directly, "And with the blood of two anceints...he's drinking the blood of the oldest of things Joshua..."
"Let me take him," Qui said, taking Rave's hand softly in his and removing it from her shoulder. "You have too many things to worry about."
"Joshua, don't!" she said. "Please...."

The shapeless cloaks attempted to grab his skin, black hands appearing and fading. Whenever they touched his bare skin, Kain could feel portions of his life energy be drained, parts of his soul.

Mephisto snarled, and spoke to an unseen force. Master... the time comes! She will not face me. She fears me! The very air seemed to fade away, as Mephisto turned to the nomad. Nomad! Tell your master, the time comes. Then he drew his blade, and shot straight for Vaughn.

"This won't be a repeat of last time. As Qui has begun changing so have I," Joshua says as he enters a ready postion that dosn't look anything like his normal one. He smirks and almost a glint of a fire in his eyes is shown.

Another ripple was sent through the air, pushing both Qui and Joshua to the ground momentarily as it traveled toward Mephisto. Maybe you didn't hear me Mephisto...Are you too afraid? Have you lost your touch?

Are you afraid to face the seraphim that drove you into hell before?! Why don't you come and claim your prize if you think it will be so easy. Azari is dead...by my son's hand...so is Marius, so is Mar, so is Seni. When will you quit with the messangers and face me you stupid son of a bitch!

(ooc: Whoa! Where did Vaughn appear...I hardly doubt I would have missed a post where he was mentioned...do you mean Azerdat?)

Joshua quicker than normal now as well jumps back into his ready postion and says "We got all eternity Qui. But not befor the end of the world."

IC: Mephisto slowed, immense batwings beating slowly. All of a sudden, a massive burst of power shot directly towards Qui.

Qui takes no specific stance. The ancient stands against the neonate, for that is the rank that Joshua had advanced to, he was no longer a fledgling, but a neonate. He cracked his knuckes, then threw back a short strand of white hair. His eys were red, except for the crystal blue of the right one. HE opened his mouth, revealing two razor sharp fangs that were longer than normal. Blood still lay upon his lips, and Joshua's would be next...
My son... she thought to herself... I hope you are ready for what I have given you...and if you are, I pray for him.

Gene held her staff toward the sky, absorbing what she could of the unexpected attack. Genesis' attempt to block the shot toward Qui, lessened it, and took it into herself, being thrown back into rock. Seth sprung up, his fangs visable now. Kenja managed to get up, and crawl to Genesis's side. Qui watched as the surge struck through him. He let out a roar that no one had heard before. It was not from the voice, but from the throat...one of a predator.
Kenja looked at Joshua. "Don't Josh...please....please..." A tear fell down her cheek.

Why not take the mother of them all? Can't you face the one whom you came for... I must admit, I loved seeing Azari's image shatter into peieces... She honestly didn't, but the masculinity possessed by mephisto was the same that drove Qui...and Joshua...into coming face to face with their challenger.

Joshua's eyes seem to begen burning with a flame of pure fury and rage that had ensured for years befor this moment. From his humiliating defeats to the ass kicking of his own master, all the way to his rebirth as a vampire. Finaly this was the time he was waiting for ever since that day years ago.

Mephisto laughed. I will kill you, Azrael. After I destroy everyone you care about.

A massive, overwhelming discharge of power was fired at the mansion, more than its defenses could cope with. Black power whirled about and destroyed it in an immense storm, crumbling down to the dust. When I am done, there will be no evidence left of 'Rave Shentavo', or the entire clan! "Ok this seems like a good time to worry," Joshua says as he looks around.

Qui looked at Joshua. "Take care of Kenja and Gene," he said to him, his eyes no longer holding the rage against Joshua, even if for that moment. "Seth," he said to the elder, "Get Gene awake...we'll need her..." Seth went to their side. Qui looked at Drake and backhanded him across the face. "We have no choice...you came...you're hear to the end buddy.." he said in a deep harsh voice. He had more than once wanted to backhand Drake, and he took much pleasure in doing so. He looked at Domino with a light smile momentarily...
She's staying so they won't see Sarah...clever girl... he thought to himself, his thoughts unheard by anyone.

Rave looked at the whip with a wry smile. "You know I used to be very fond of those things, though not in your hands." she returned, dodging the whip. Her razor sharp blades emerged from the shackles on her wrists, and slicing through the air, she struck out at him.

Drake held his face. "Sonofa..." He glared at him. "I came to get her!" He pointed to Domino. "I didn't come here for any duel between a vampire angel and whatever that other thing is." He sighs and looks at Domino standing there. "Damn. Unless she comes, I'm under orders to stay here."

The Nomad looked at Domino. "Run child. Run in fear from your fate. You are nothing in this battle and will be destroyed. Run away a-"

Domino squeezed his windpipe, cutting off Anubis's voice. "The dead fear nothing. For we have already faced the greatest fear, death itself."

Mephisto flew upwards, his own immense blade appearing in his hand. He was cut, but his wounds healed. "You're too slow, Azrael. My master stirs." Another whiplash.

Domino saw the whip fall a few hundred feet away. She still held the Nomad by the throat, debating if she should take his head off or not. If she did, Anubis would lose his connection to earth, for now. She would 'kill' the only one of his minions she trusted though.(OOC: 'kill' because the Nomad was never alive) She finally releases him. Domino looked up at the two battling, losing her footing when the ripple came. She did not move though, willing to accept her fate, whatever that may be.

The Nomad rubbed his throat. "You are weak, Domino. I, Anubis, will teach you that sacrifice is needed in any victory. You will lea-" He's cut off again by Domino.

"Anubis.... go to Hell."

No response came from the Nomad.

The angel saw her opportunity, soaring toward him, blades aimed at the wings of the beast.

Kain felt the rush of air, and the grip of fear still was enwrapped around him. He was cast through the air, Kain acting on instinct and nothing else. It was the instinct that knew if he did nothing, he would face death...or worse.

Flying through the air, Kain cascaded down to earth with a sickening crunch, his body tossing and grinding against the hard floor. Blood began to show where he fell and slwoly he slowed to a halt. A few seconds passed.

Kain very slowly got up, and opened his eyes. He saw blood dripping from his face...just flesh wounds he felt. Not much serious arm. He felt pretty shook up. He rolled over and looked at himself. Some of his clothes where ripped...his Cloak obviously was not. He saw a sick crimson trail where he had crashed. Hold his cloven hand on his head, and feeling the moist sticky substance on it, he stood up steadyily as not to fall over.

Kain coughed and staggered slowly out of the cavern wandering where his benefactor was...and those thigns which where following them.

Damn, I knew it would hurt but I wasn't expecting that much.

Azerzdat could feel the stone around him. He was encarved into the wall. He wondered how he didn't get through it.

Largest wall ever! In Hell and nowhere else, he thought, picturing a blond and hot chick babbling in a TV commercial.

He tried to move his arms but he was stuck.

Kain walked out of the cave slowly, holding to side of the wall for support, his other arm his side, still dripping the blood from his head. He looked outside to find the person who aided him.

"Where are you?" Kain asked quietly.

Kain saw the rocks crumble....Kain put forward his own cloven hands. He began to move them for a while and very faint green energy trailed around them and when he moved his hand it left a trace. He was working on the rock himself, trying to chip away at it helping him.

Azerzdat was doing his best at moving. Kain's help was quite welcome. Problem was to push without taking support onto his broken leg.

Azerzdat's head suddenly popped out of the hole, next to Kain.

"So the great archangel is fighting the bad demon. I guess he deserves a spanking session anyway. Unless he destroys her of course. Any idea where the dancing room is?"

Kain had no idea what the hell was going on over there....perhaps Mephisto had already won or lost? Perhaps they would be too late? Kain did not want to fail Rave again....not when this might be his last chance.

Azerzdat's eyes grew thiner. He managed to get his right arm out. Blood was running down on it, pouring from his shoulder. He didn't bother about it.

"The castle? I doubt it. I don't sense him in there."

Castle is in physical realm down the beach twenty miles from the mansion. Currently, most are a mile or a half from it.

Domino and the Nomad watched on in silence. Both figured they would be destroyed sooner or later during this battle, but neither seemed willing to leave. At least not until the Nomad spoke again.

She will lose. We will become the rulers. You will see, Domino. I will make sure of it! The Nomad lunged at her in a flash, but didn't even get half way to her before she reacted.

A slice... A gurgle... A thump...

Blood ran down to the tip of her katana, dripping off slowly. The Nomad didn't have much blood in it, but it was there. "Goodbye, my old friend..." she said softly, staring at the Nomad's severed head.

She still doesn't join the others though. Doing so might make Mephisto suspicious. So she wipes the blade off and replaces it, then looks upon the battle raging above. She knew that there was little holding her to this realm. She quite literally had nothing left to lose...

OOC: If this isn't finished by Monday the 15th, I'm going to have to drop out. I will be on a cross country trip and will be creully ripped away from the internet and computers in general.

Rave was struck by the wave head on, falling to the ground. She looked at her side momentarily, a large gash running across her stomach. The angel stood, blood seeping through her shirt. She leapt back into the air, and faced him. The ground rumbled slightly, but it was not her doing...The ground beneath the two openped up, heat rising from it. She looked at it, then back at him Mephisto. You may succeed in opening hell mouths, and breaking the gate, but you have to be completely free to unleash what lays inside. The wounded angel caught his gaze in hers. She rushed toward him, one sword aimed at his heart, the other at his neck. She had to bring him down into hell...

Domino heard the rumble and saw the earth open up, vanishing and reappearing in a 'safer' spot, as she watched the Nomad's body fall into the realm that created it.

Drake looked to the others and sighed softly. Srew orders. I'm not getting killed because Domino's a moron staying out there. He then got up, grabbed his bag of weapons and equipment and started walking away from the area, not trusting travel by air just yet. He ignored anyone speaking to him and just kept walking.

Qui looked at Drake, and scoffed. "You know Drake, I never liked you, chances are you hate me; that's not my concern, but I never would think that you would just...give up...and run away." He looked at his hand, picking out a shard of glass from his wound, and watched heal over. "If you just run away without what you came for, you're not the person I thought you were...and that disappoints me." he said in a deep voice

Drake stopped walking and stood there for a few seconds. He turns and gives Qui the last look he would have expected. Throughly amused. "F*ck off you damn vampire. I don't really give a damn what you... people think.

"Besides that, I am MUCH more valuable to the Empire and this planet alive. If Domino is destroyed, that makes me the most highly trained assasian in Crimmond. I'm the top agent of an anti-terrorist organization. I take out terrorist leaders around this little blood soaked mudball of a planet that she is trying to save. When she's done with stopping whatever the hell that thing is, if she even can, is she going to do my job if I get killed while she's doing it? If she's killed, are you going to do it? No. If I die, thousands will die as a result of one terrorist leader not being taken out."

"My judgement doesn't matter to you, so don't even kid yourself in asking me."

"Everyone are pieces in a game, but there are private tables set up for the high rollers." he paused slightly, taking Drake in with his gaze. "Question is, are you a high roller? Or do you not have the dice to play this game?"

Drake nodded. "True. Very true." He says quietly.

"Am I a High Roller? You tell me. I am willing to sacrifice one life to save one hundred. One hundred lives to save one million. What is important is that the many are saved because those few die. I count myself with that few. And here? I see one woman doing exactly that. Sacrifing herself for a planet of people that will never even say thank you. That's what I do, just on a grander scale."

He grins at the comparison and cocks his head to one side. "But that didn't answer your question. Did it? Well, let me put it to you this way... I don't really care if it didn't. So now if you will excuse me... I have things to break and people to kill." He grins and walks right over to the Diablo Kenja arrived in. "It'll be in a parking garage, top floor in the nearest town."

The wounded angel caught his gaze in hers. She rushed toward him, one sword aimed at his heart, the other at his neck. She had to bring him down into hell...

Mephisto dashed forward, and was stabbed against it... he fell to the ground.

Rave's eyes flickered at Mephisto. I told you to mark my words...I hope you marked them well... With remaining hope within her eyes. She drove him down into the opening of hell that had separated before them, dopping him as the heat became too much, she quickly shot up toward the sky, and landed on the edge, her sensitive ears picking up the demon. Mark them well... she repeated to herself, and stood at the edge, turning to face the other.

"She did it..." Genesis said softly. "She defeated him..."

Qui's eyes darted toward her...but he could not say a word.

Domino looks on and tilts her head. Too easy... even for her. she thought to herself. She hopped down from the tree she was on and moved to stand a few feet from Rave.

"Are you alright?" Domino asked. Her mind was blank of all thoughts except what she was speaking. The glow that was always in her eyes was bright. It was like beng a deer staring into headlights, as many had put it. But this time there was no shimmering or smoldering. It was white, pure white.

Qui's eye twitched as he watched Drake steal his car. You F******* son of a bitch! He said, striking lightning down upon the path of the car in front of it, but not hitting it...merely a thread. "No Drake...you are not a high roller..." he looked back to Ravelyn. "but she is..." he sighed. "But myself?" he said softly. "...I don't play. Not fond of games."

Mephisto fell, returning to his prison. So be it... but you come too!

He lashed out with his whip, encircling her and pulling her down with him. The whip burned with a dark fire.

Before Ravelyn could react, the whip wrapped around her abdomen. She spread her wings to resist it, but his force was to much. She was pulled of the edge. "Vauhgn!" she yelled sharply as she fell. the whip's grip not loosening one bit though she struggled.

Qui jumped towards her, but the black fire caught the edge of the land. "No!" he yelled, lunging towad her, but the fire did not permit his veiw. In seconds Genesis reached out, touching the fire and chilling it to ice...but as the ice shattered by Qui's fist...the ground had closed.

Ravelyn hit a hard surface as the rough edges of the ground. She let out a cry of pain as the anceint struggled to her feet. She was in immense pain, burns across her abdomen.

The angel stammered to her feet and glared at Mephisto, also fallen. With her last ounce of strength, she picked him up by the throat, slamming him against the wall. I bind you Mephisto...to this eternal hell...with no escape. You chains are unbreakable...and you shall never return to earth. A white light bound upon him.

He stabbed through her heart, slamming his blade through her body and rolling her into the wall.

Then he collapsed against the wall, his spirit abandoning its captured shell and returning to his master.

Her eyes went wide as the blade tore through her chest. She was thrown to the wall, and staggered up, still determined. Blood streamed from the wound and seeped through her torn shirt. Moisture swept over her alabastor skin. Her crimson eyes flickered, her mouth open as if to speak, fangs barely visable. Her black hair fell in soft waves, and white wings were spread open. Feathers fell to the ground in tufts, as the angelic vampire fell to her knees. There was no healing this time. There was no comforting touch. There was no one to save her. She gripped the sword and took in a deep breath, a tear rolling from her eye. In a quick sweep, she pulled it out with a cry of defiance. Then, it stopped. The angel fell to the ground, her body fanishing in a white flares, entertwining with each other and vanishing. What remained was a necklace, of a heart with a sword through it, and two wings on either side. Ironic, isn't it?

Qui stopped suddenly. "No...she can't be..." Genesis looked at him as she slowely backed away. His left eye was now completely light blue, his right completely red. His body convulsed violently as he let out a cry, something that was not normally heard from him. The material from his shirt ripped open, wings ripping through the skin on his back. They weren't like hers...they were not like hers, and would never be. They were torn in places, feathers blackened and tattered, open wounds and scars, though never used. He fell to the ground, taking in deep uneeded breaths.
Gene was shocked, she stepped back. This is what you've been hiding...this is what you wouldn't tell me. She wasn't lying...she wasn't lying. She was an angel when you were born, and he a vampire...which makes you... "Qui...."

Kenja stirred within Joshua's arms, and feintly looked up to him. A slight sound escaped her lips.

It was my fault...though not much that would have happened, however the story is not over for you, just Rave and Mephisto.

Rave shouldn't have told you that and you shouldn't have taken the order. Why?

It defeats the whole damn purpose of the rest of us even interacting with the main plot! I had a twist set up and boom. Gone because you had a set ending.

I wouldn't mind so much if it just happened that Rave got it and Domino didn't but it was PLANNED that way. That's what's ticking me off.

I have nothing more to offer this story other than this.

Drake stood on the landing pad, about to enter the shuttle sent by Crimmond. Qui's Diablo was parked, as promised, on the top floor of a parking garage.

Domino stepped up beside him. "Lets go."

"What about her?" he asked.

Domino looked at him with a gaze that could freeze a mans blood. He decided that conversation wouldn't be happening on this flight as they boarded.

I assumed that Domino nor any of the other characters were interacting with the two because no one seemed to do anything about it the whole time, not just in the past few posts, but since the beginning. The relations between them have all been interelated, so I thought that she would have not done anything, so I went on it. I take full responsibility for it.

Rave shifted in her bed. Her black hair traced it's way along her spine, and fell in soft waves. Her crimson eyes slowely flicked open. She let out a soft sigh, and pushed the black satin sheets from her figure. She slowely rose, walking toward the dresser. She took out a black dress...it was a long time since she had worn it. She slipped it over her head. It tappered to the back where it just touched the floor. It fit her figure perfectly. Images flashed in her mind from the first year at the academy...and to him. She closed her eyes momentarily, with a soft smile, and proceeded down the stairs.
"Where..." Ravelyn said softly. "Where am I?" She headed down a long spiral staircase. She could hear voices. Her eyes flickered momentarily with distraught. "Hello?" She asked softly, chills running down her spine, part in trepidation, part in curiousity.
"Hello beauty," said a man walking up the stairs.
The darkness shrowded his face, and she could not make out his idenity, but a hope still held within her heart. She was slightly taken back, by the likeness of his voice...it couldn't be...She couldn't speak, she stepped closer to him, looking for him...
"I'm not the one you think," said Smith with a smile, getting out of the darkness. "But I sure as hell can recognize a beauty when I see one!"
She was disappointed, but still smiled anyway. "I thank you for the compliment. No you are not the one I seek, but maybe I came across you for a reason." She smiled warmly. "Oh, sorry." she said offering her hand to him. "My name is Ravelyn."
"Charming first name," Smith said. He bent and kissed her hand. "And who is the lucky guy you're after?"
She paused for a moment. "His name is Vaughn," she replied
"Never heard this name before," Smith answered. "If you ask me, Vaughn sounds horribly wrong. Picture that: Ravelyn Vaughn, no really. Ravelyn Shentavo is so much better!"

(Ok, I think I got it the forth time. :) Alright....time for a bit of aftermath...give me time to read this thing through and get Kain talking to someone. Anyone willing to speak to Kain about what happened? Kain does not really know, he is going to be concerned. Any character willing to talk to Kain?)

"What happened? Is she..." Kain asked (insert character name). Kain was by the beach looking at the water as it lapped accorss the sandy beach. It was where he had talked to Rave last time.

Qui slowely brought his eyes up to meet Kain's. Kain had not seen the change, but it was clear of the shift. His left eye was completely blue in contrast with the crimson it had been. Tattered and torn wings were expanded to either side of him, white streaks dominated his hair by an overwhelming majority. He glared at Kain...Kain's problems were indeed not over.

Kain returned the stare, but Kain was one which did not care for vendettas. He was tierd, and all he wanted to know was how Rave was. Obviously QUi had lost none of his vengeful spirit Kain thought...but he had chanegd. So he had transgresed. Kain felt completely alone, that stare of his made Kain feel guilty, and he hated it.

"Qui please...just tell me, is she alright....then I will leave. It's all I ask..." Kain said softly to Qui, the Brightblade within it's sheave.

"She's dead," he said, an unmistakable deep growl in the tone of his voice. His eyes were hungry for blood, and Kain was more or less, his target. "You were to die...to never be in my sight again. To never return here...no. She's not alright, Kain..." he said, his rage against everyone. His rage against the world building up. His shattered wings contracted for the first time, a broken feather fallin to the ground as he walked toward Kain, clenching his fists, and feeling the electricity run through him.

Kain felt an empty void within himself, he felt hallow. Everything seemed to go onto a tone of silence which was horrifying. But this feeling soon swept to fear when Qui said those words. He simply looked forward Qui as he approached. He knew what he would do.

There was nothing Kain could say. Well there was one.

"I am sorry." Kain simply said to Qui, as he looked directly at Qui. He simply did not care anymore. He had lost the one thing which mattered.

He stopped short, and placed his hand to his temple, in seemingly try to cover up the pain which slipped it's way into his head, with every step he took. Great... he thought to himself. She leaves me with this?! I suppose there is a downside to everything...

"There has been enough killing Qui...let it rest...please.... Thats all I wanted to know....I'll go if that is what you want Qui...I'll go" Kain said to Qui, as he looked on as he visibly felt pain. What was happening? Kain did not know.

Kain turned around slowly and began to walk off very slowly, as the full comprehension of what this meant set in...Kain felt tears building, he tried to blink them back.

He was looking at the scene from above, completly hindered from the others.

If this is the end, then I'm a monk.

But there was something like sadness in his own thoughts. As if he wasn't as confident as he would have wanted to.

Screw that, he thought, looking at the sky. Hey, you, up there. I'm sure you know what to do. I've been on your path far too often not to be sure of that.

He glanced at his leg. It was broken, but it should heal itself, slowly. Maybe it was time for him to go back home. Well. Back to his new home.

He took an impulsion on his other leg and flied quickly away.

Qui fell to his knees, his hand gripped in his hands, the soft waves crashing upon the blood tainted ocean were the only sounds that could be heard. Genesis' eyes narrowed upon him, as she stepped closer, she stopped. Her scarlet eyes caught a tear fall from his eyes.
"I'm not going to be able to remain stable...I can't maintain it, can I?"

Kain turned his head. Then he turned his enetire body.

"What is happening?" Kain asked Qui or Genesis in concern.

Genesis looked at him. Nothing for you to worry about Kain, go...for your own health, go! she said, as the psion edged closer to Qui. She placed a hand upon his shoulder, yet shrank back as she felt the coldness of his skin...which was as if it shouldn't have been. It was not unusual for the skin of a vampire to be cold, but there was something changed in him. SHe touched his wing, another feather falling at her touch. "Aw Qui..."

(ooc: note to Kain. I particularly liked how things were going between Kain and Azerzdat. We *have* to RP something with these two. It looks so much like a potential duo-story blockbuster. ;) )

Alright... Kain said to them and began his way back to the beach, to think about the death of his sire. He felt completely empty, he just wanted to be alone. He walked away slowly, looking at the ground.

He made his way down to the beach, where the water was heard lapping against the sand. He looked at it blankly, thinking. He felt completely empty, as though his existance was useless. So desinty was true...she died. Just like everyone had said....

Kain began to weep, holding his head in his hands, his shoulders shaking.

Genesis looked at Qui, then out toward the ocean. They were all that remained. Kenja lay unconscious in Joshua's arms, and Seth was knocked out cold, though coming around. "So," Qui said. "It really was the end. He looked down for a moment, fire returning to his eyes." He looked up toward the sky, and the sun seemed to burn. "No, the beginning."
