Once upon a time, there was a woman. A woman created to such perfection, that she had earned the word. Created in a lab by careless scientists. She would not have a soul. She would be used in combat, she would have no free will. She would be at their disposal. They were wrong.
Once upon a time, there was an angel. An angel of the highest rank...a seraphim. One of the only ones remaining in the world. She was sent to earth with a purpose. She could have been born like a regular person, but the powerful soul of Azrael, the seraphim, was sent into a body that was, created in a lab. She would not have a soul. They were wrong.
Once upon a time, there was a company. A company that had created such perfection, were so safe, until the woman awoke. Seven days, and her journey of distruction would begin for them. They had made an error. This woman contained a soul, and one no less than an seraphim...the seraphim Azrael. The glass was unbreakable. They were wrong.
Once upon a time, an angel got her wings. The soul worked through the body, forming rapidly wings upon her back. And with those wings, she broke through the unbreakable glass. Within seven days, the lab was in ruins. Ravelyn...that's what the scientists had called her...and that's what she would be called for years to come.
Once upon a time, there was a land. A land barren of all things with an ocean none the better. Ravelyn changed this with her hands, and shaped the land. It grew with life, and later became known as the Ambrosial Coasts. She walked along the beach every day...waiting for something to befall her.
Once upon a time, there was a man. If a man is what you'd call him. An anceint vampire of many years looked upon the angel, and decided he wanted nothing else. He would have her if it would mean his death. Thrown off by his kindness and love for her, the angel fell into his embrace. He was the one to form the only angelic vampire that will ever walk this earth, and soon, her touch may be gone, but not forgotten..never forgotten.
Once upon a time, there was a ruler. Benevolent and just to all that looked for justice. She was loved by her people, and feared by her enemies. She was the angel of light and savior to her people. She was the angel of death and destroyer of her enemies. There came a time, when the angelic vampire reached the ranks of an ancient. She maintained both blood lines...which was hard to do. She ruled over the land for millenia, and the people never saw a shadow of her passing. Ravelyn Shentavo.
Once upon a time, there was a son. The son of Ravelyn and Daja was named Qui. He became known as the mindbreaker as time went on.Being known to prophesize of something in just years to come. And everytime he did so, the prophesies came true. He was strong, quick, and hot tongued. Years passed, and the day came when he was considered an ancient.
Once upon a time, he disappeared. Daja left Ravelyn, alone in her tears. She swore to never feel that way again about anyone that crossed her path. She left her love for Daja behind, and hardened her heart. With her son, she sired others worthy of the eternal embrace. Genesis, Seni, Seth, Mar, Kenja, Azari, and Kain. They became her family, and loved her as she did them. They inherited her name of Shentavo. They were her kin.
Once upon a time, she fell in love. Ravelyn fell in love with a man named Vaughn. They went through so much together, even going so far as the reaches of heaven and the fire and brimstone of hell. Nothing could part their love for eachother. Their love was eternall, as was their lives...or so it was most beleived.
Once upon a time, jealousy drove him mad. Daja remained quite, knowing that Ravelyn had never felt the way he had, she had been under his entrance. But even now he could see her power growing. He could never stand to see the two together, nor see his eyes upon her face. One dark night, he tried to steal back his love. Force his love back into his arms. In the end, there was only one remaining. Ravelyn had killed her own sire.
Once upon a time, there was a father. In her early years, she met a being named Corothisia. He was like a father to her and protected her till the end...
Once upon a time, there was a prophecy. A prophecy made by her son, and his never were wrong. He said that a great evil would come, and her purpose for being would be fufilled. She set off training harder, but she had perfected everything she could. Her power was at an all time high. But it wouldn't be enough to save her in the end. The apocolypse was coming...and her purpose, after all these millenia, was to stop it.
Once upon a time, there was a ledgend. A ledgend of a angelic vampire that ruled over the lands. Of such strength and power, yet so fragile just the same. She fought bravely over many centuries for her people. Then there came a day, a dark and freezing day. When clouds hung ominous over the skies. And Ravelyn Shentavo finally faced her destiny...

(Present and accounted for. Begin...I shall for the sake of simplicity say that the events of Kain Irenicus' Saga, Fate of a Nation will not have happened as they are still in the process. Kain will be at his island)

(All right just to say this that the events here are gona effect Joshua in a RP I'm planing out in the future and some of the things that happen might have some massive effects on him)
Joshua sighed. His life was being turned upsidedown the back the way it always was. Ever since becomng a vampire his life was changed to the point of where him and his brother were busy atempting to defet each other.

OOC: Gonna start Domino off, then go from there.

IC: Domino looked through the dome at the barren landscape of Mars. Earth was only a bright blue star in the sky. She turned her attention back to the celebration of a race victory that was happening around her when some half drunk mechanic stumbled into her.

Ahead there were several people drinking and talking. Behind them was the Pathfinder Racing poster showing the head pilot, who happened to be sitting beneath herself. They were not her targets though.

"The calling of a council?" a man asked. "This hasn't been done in centuries! Are you mad!?"
"You know very well I'm not. You are the one whom prophesized this, and now I fear that it's coming true."
"This evil can't be stopped by them," he snapped. "But by you."
"So I'm supposed to face it alone?!" the angel asked, with a confused expression. "If you haven't noticed..they've taken Mar...and who knows what has become of your Azari."
"She'll be fine...probably had to get away from it all."
"I'm sure," she said, not beleiving that at all. "Have you sent for them?"
"Everyone you had asked to be present...I still don't know why Joshua must come.."
"The tension between you and him should be put aside...and on that note, Kenja hasn't been taken, has she?"
"No...the young one is fine...no one would dare touch one of mine."
"But they have Azari?" she replied, to which her son gave no answer. "This is what I've been preparing for all my life."
"What about Vaughn? Would you be willing to sacrifice your life for him?"
"I already have," she said softly. "You know I wouldn't hesitate to do it again if it meant that he should life. Our love is eternal, and will live forever...despite distance or worlds. We'll manage to find a way."
"You really love him don't you?" he asked.
"Yes," she replied without hesitation. The angel looked out the window. The soft white feathers of her wings lay upon the flesh. Her deep crimson eyes could enchant those hardest of hearts, and see into the soul. Her alabastor skin lay in contrast with her dark hair which fell in soft waves to her waist. She certainly was a sight to behold.
Her son, Qui, stood in back of her, placing his hand upon her shoulder. His eyes had originally been crimson as well. However, now one was partially an extremely light blue. His dark hair he had once possessed had turned to white, his demeanor more uplifting. This wasn't due to age, for he had remained the same for many years. It was due to his mother.
It had taken him a while to accept that his mother had been an angel when she had given birth, and not turned yet. This meant that he was half angel, though she never told him. He had always embraced the darker side of life, and he was not ready to accept the lighter. Black leather cut-off gloves were strapped tight around his wrists as usual, always ready for a fight.
Kenja watched on. Her silvery hair had been straightened, and had extended the length. Her ice blue eyes were clearer than the sky. Her skin had more color than the rest, but then again, she was one of the youngest. She looked at to her sire for direction, and to his much disliked Joshua for love. She never understood why they could never stop fighting. Given the circumstances, it was always likely that she would not like the result either way.
In the corner stood Seni. He was a known healer of the group, seemingly loyal to Rave. But corruption is something that found it's way into the family. With his eye set on Kenja, and Kenja's heart set on Joshua, he would do anything to have her. He was not agressive however, so just watched her...always.
Genesis sat at the table with her feet upon it, and leaning back. Her blond hair was long and fell loosely over her shoulders. Her crimson eyes mimicked Rave, but the color naturally shifted. Her lips were full, and her mind on Jeremy as well. She wore a corset style, strapless black top that easily concealed a knife. No one would think she would be dangerous...if they didn't know she was a psion.
Seth leaned against a wall. Eclipse had crossed his minds dozens of times, his fiance bringing out the best of him. He was worried for Rave...and for Kenja. Had he been the only one to notice Seni all this time? He was worried for her. He looked to his fledgling, Alexiel in reassurance that everything was fine. The childr had not been told of Qui's prophecy.
Alexiel was a bright girl with fiery deep Red hair. Her emerald eyes dazzeled at the sight of the new, her mind taking in the lessons that she was to learn. She was the youngest of the group, and often found it best to watch, and learn instead of trying, and learning.
Jazz sat across from Genesis, also considered a childr. Rumor had it that Mar was the one to sire him, but even Rave couldn't get it out of him. He studied with Seni mostly, but was interested in knowing Gene a bit better. He, unfortunately, was unsuccessful, her mind being preoccupied.
Azari, Qui's wife, had been gone for a long time. She had set off to help another exile, Kain. Azari had been one of the most promising sourcerors and students ever to walk into that mansion...however...the crimes commited by her were unforgivable, therefore she was exiled. Rave did not approve of her son marrying her, she had always thought that the girl was no good. Ravelyn, could see right through her.
Mar had been gone for a while as well. He had gone to another nation into the woods. His speciality was necromancy. He hasn't been seen since.
Rave looked at all of them. "The time is drawing near...no more than a week."

Joshua sighed nd began to walk out of his feild comand center. He slowly steped out into the rain where several tents were in solid lines with soldiers sleeping or wishing they were out of this hell. Joshua just kept walking and stoped in a clearing and drew his sword. No longer did plasma have the same beutey and effect it had befor the transformation. He began to spar with the shadows in the cold rain. He let it beat down on him like a shower by nature

Domino saw the target and was behind him within a minute. She greabbed him and dragged him silently into an alley, no one hearing his shout over the noise. WIthin seconds he found a knife at his throat and stared wide eyed at her. "Wha- what do you want?!"

Domino smiled. "You.... I am Domino Andolini, Free Agent of the Crimmond Empire and Assasian Grade 1. This is to be a standard assasianation. You are the local leader of the Cult of the Cloud, responsible for the Sword of Faith attack on Earth. You are being killed to prevent or at least delay the mirror operaton in the Mizar 3 Martian Province. " The regulations were a little strange in having to explain to the victim why they were being killed, but it at least informed them of the reasoning behind the order so they didn't think it was just a normal street killing and it gave the assasian the chance to watch the color drain from their faces.

She walked back out into the crowds a minute later and continued on her way. She heard shouts and soon heard the distinct sound of sirens behind her.

Mephisto paced, scowling. His fury had grown mighty. "I shall see Azrael, and her fledglings and mate, dead!"

Azari wrapped her arms around Mephistopheles, her eyes stained a sanguine red. "They are as good as dead my love." she said in a sultry tone. "With Mar turned, and Marius, they stand no chance. Ravelyn is no match for you...she never will be. And that Vaughn...honestly. What does she see in him...? He's not half of what you are." She kissed his neck gently.

(OOC Note this is before Azari had spoken to him. I will make it so the actions in Velmora had not occoured, it would simply cause far too much confusion etc.)

Kain stared into the rain as it fell from the heavens. The clouds gave no sign of hope, thier thunderous clouds beating against the barren island, devoid of life. His blank stare looked at the rippes of the dark ocean, the waves as the beated against the shore, almost in sad lament.

He felt the drops rush down his complex green skin, it was cold and gave Kain none of the usual pleasure that he usually did when he stepped into rain. He had his arms crossed, his cloven hands wrapped around himself, in contemplation of his fate, his existance.

Cloak hung loosly by his side, a brown colour as it hung waiting for Kain to say or do something. He rarely did now a days, he was lsot in thought and remained solitary considering the words to which Rave had spoken to him about.

And then, his lips moved and produced words to which he had not spoken in two weeks. Not once. His voice was the one wihtin his mind, and that did most of the talking. Unfortuantly, one's own inner mind can be a distorted view upon reality....

"Why?" Kain said to no one but the crashing waves against the deserted island to which only he survayed. It was once teeming with life....dangerous life yes, but life none the less. But now....it had vanished. And now Kain was left alone with shadows of memories within his mind of simpler and better times.

"Before it was so simple...so crystal clear. The definition of good and evil....black and white. But now...everything is a destorted shade of grey...it is not so clear. Hell...I do not know where I even stand in this great drama....my very existance shows my alignment to some power....should I have allowed myself to make Daniella join into this? Why is it not like before! At least then I knew where I was!" Kain spoke to himself and no-one, the usual circle spiralling, his depression continued on.

There of course, no answer. Kain searched deeply within himself, within his soul to find this answer, but he could find none. It was maddening to him. The one to which he was most loyal to himm had offered a question to him which he could not answer, and he was driven to depression by it. By self-doubt....by guilt that he might have done something wrong to harm Daniella.

The rain continued to pour down upon Kain, and he retreated into his stufy within the cave, to lose himself within his books. That was some release from his mind and everything within him singing,

"Should you have done this to her? Is it right that I have done this to the one I love?"

The rain continued to pour down....a crack of thunder within the dead air a perfect image of Kain's state of mind.


Torment

OOC: Skipping Domino's trip back to Earth.

IC: Domino looked down at the city from a rooftop. She watched the people below move about in the darkness, unaware of what lurked above.

Growing tired of watching the streets, she moved to another rooftop and begin to run. She suddenly realized where she was in the city when she saw the river ahead. It was the same are she had been in when Rave called for help against the serial killer. Domino smiled and ran faster towards the river and mad lep across much easier than before, landing two roofs beyond the one she landed on back then. Seems being dead a few times CAN be good for your health... she chuckles and starts opening her mind, scanning the area for any of the vampires, knowing that at least two already knew she was here.

Azari wrapped her arms around Mephistopheles, her eyes stained a sanguine red. "They are as good as dead my love." she said in a sultry tone. "With Mar turned, and Marius, they stand no chance. Ravelyn is no match for you...she never will be. And that Vaughn...honestly. What does she see in him...? He's not half of what you are." She kissed his neck gently.

Mephisto rounded on Azari. His power became evident, darkness welling around him. "Nor are you, my 'love'. Don't ever forget what you are. You are mine. Body, heart... and soul. You exist because I allow you to exist. You drink when I wish you to drink. You are of more use than Mar and Marius, but that's not hard." Mephisto's eyes flickered a dark black. "Your fledgling causes me no end of grief."

"My fledging," she said with a sigh. "I grow tired of him...he was never supposed to turn to be...but being an exile as well, he just stuck to me. I'd love to slit his throat right now, but I am beginning to corrupt him. Turn him away from the angel's philosophies, and stick to mine. It's working like a charm to no end..." She smiled viciously, her lips stained with his blood...like liquid fire it was to her. "I'm eternally your slave...and bound to you." She pushed againt him. "Physically...spiritually...I am yours for the taking."
"She has been against me since the moment I had betrayed her. She had been against me since the second Qui had asked for my hand in marriage. I loathe that woman. Promise me you'll make her die slowely...painfully... Let me kill her son...with your strength in me, even that mind breaker will not be able to overcome us."

Ravelyn looked to Qui momentarily, and motioned for him to come over. He did so, his and pushing back his white hair. She looked into his eyes, and he nodded. Qui then looked to Genesis, and stepped a pace to her. He whispered into her ear, softly. All that could be heard was "betrayal". They were not speaking of Azari. As far as Qui was concerned, his wife would turn up eventually, though he started to worry. Genesis looked around at the others that stood in the room. As she spotted Seni, she followed his glare to Kenja, then looked back at Qui, whom nodded in return.
All watched the angel close the doors behind her into a side room with stained glass windows. No one could see in, but they could see the figure pacing about in the room. All were concerned for the woman behind those doors...whether it for better or worse.

"My fledging," she said with a sigh. "I grow tired of him...he was never supposed to turn to be...but being an exile as well, he just stuck to me. "Send Mars out. Give him your blades. His loss will not hurt our cause. The end of days draws near. My Master breaks free. And her master is slowly being chained. Yes. Send Mars out. Tell him to lure Qui somewhere away from the others. We shall kill him, just to show Azrael that she can't be safe."

Azari looked at him. "Mar is already under suspicion as it is...." She brushed her hand across his chest. A wicked smile crossed her lips. "Why not let me go? I can lure him out easily without suspicion. He'll follow willingly, in hope of getting something in return."

Mephisto turned away. With a shriek, he took his demonic form and flew off. He turned. DO SO. THAT IS AN ORDER. KILL HIM, SEND HIS SKULL TO RAVE, AND BRING ME HIS HEART.

I will, my love. She returned. She looked out upon the ocean, and in the distance, she could see the mansion that the surely had gathered in by now. The darkness of the rolling clouds began to sweep over the sands. She looked to Mar, a large scar running across his eye. His blond hair was ragged, and his lips purple. The necromancer looked at Azari, then to Marius.
Marius...Daja's sire. The eldest present there. His brown hair was short, and his eyes purely black. His pale skin did not help to conceal the long white fangs that rested on his lower lip. Paladerina was chained to the wall. Various bite marks along her body. Her cries were ignored by the lot.
"You two...wait here...I will bring him here...and we shall have a feast. My husband is quite powerful, but we should be able to destroy him easily."
Marius grinned and Mar laughed uncontrollably...it seemed he was pulled into a state of madness when Marius had taken him...

There was a knock on the door, and Qui answered it. As he opened it, there stood his wife, as alluring as ever. She kissed him, but he pulled back to speak. "Where have you been?"
"I have been preparing something special for you," she said with a sultry smile. She wrapped her arms around his neck. "Come with me."
"I can't...I am needed here."
"It will only be for a few hours," she said sweetly, enchanting him. Qui had a weakness. His weakness was women.
"Alright," he said with a smile, before he stepped out the door, something caught his attention. He looked back to Genesis, whom eyes had changed to a grey. He looked to Azari. "Just let me change into something...accessible."
She giggled with a smile as he changed, and returned to walk with her along the beach.

They had waited for her return, and eventually, she did. He had her in his arms already. She tore off his shirt, leaving it in shreds on the ground. He kissed her passionately. Suddenly, he noticed Marius' strong presence. The second he looked up, Azari grasped the stake against the wall and jammed it into his side, and into the wall. He let out a cry of pain. He glared at her, sending her crashing into the wall. Marius watched from the shadows. Mar rushed towards him, biting viciously into his arm. The powerful blood streamed down his arm. He threw Mar off of him with his strength and pulled the stake from his side. Azari was already on her feet. She lunged at him. He caught both her wrists in his hands. "Wow...Azari. You've become strong. It is a shame that I won't be staying with you, I have prior engagements."
She glared at him, and kicked him in the stomach. He caught her leg and flipped her to the ground. He reached in his fallen coat and retrieved two guns, ebony and ivory. He shot her repeatetively. Though they would not kill her, they hurt like hell. He looked to Paladerina, chained to the wall. He raised his hands, and her locks opened as she fell to the ground, he set her down softly as Mar jumped on his back. He threw him off again. Azari attacked him again, but he caught her head between his hands. That was instant access. He soarerd through her mind, until she collasped, being temporarily paralized. Mar rushed towad him again, and he took the stake which had pierced his side to piece through his stomach and pin him to the wall.
Marius stalked out of the shadows and the two faced each other. "I have no problem killing you."
"You have one problem," Qui said in defiance. His eyes flickering red.
"And what might that be, son of my son's." Qui's eyes went wide at this, understanding who he was.
"Me." he replied. He grabbed two swords from the wall.
"Do you honestly think that will help you?" he laughed.
"Yes," he said. "Mersta la etuitia que rowtha arsta tre!" He yelled as the swords glowed with a holy light and slashed into Marius, making him fall back. Qui looked at all of them. He had to get out of there as they began to stir once more. He looked to the ground, then up to see Azari back up. She pressed him to the wall, the chains locking around his hands and holding him there. She took the sword from Marius, who stood up and glared at Qui. Mar pulled the stake from his stomach and looked at Qui annoyingly.
Azari bit into his skin first...then Marius...then Mar. Qui pushed Mar back to hit the wall with his mind. Eventually, Marius pulled away, and observed the sword within him. It had slipped from Azari's hand into Qui. Azari looked at the others, and realized she was alone. Qui met her glance and in seconds the chains were undone and wrapped around her throat. He took the sword and sliced her across her chest, then threw her to the ground.
He jumped out the window, and looked back. The clouds in the sky were arriving, though he had not called them. There was something ominous about them. Lightning surged through the sky, and struck the building.
He fell to the ground, yet got up. He stumbled slightly as he ran toward the mansion. "Next time I get married, I get a prenupt."

Mephisto appeared. "Failure! Fools, the lot of you!" His dark energy welled around him. The waves began to grow in power. "Watch a true master of darkness work!

Massive waves began to rise, and go towards the mansion. Lightning crackled down from the sky. Mephisto looked around, then turned towards his companions. "The three of you shall not be feeding for a week after this error."

He gathered them up, and disapeared.

"Son of a Bitch," she yelled in frustration of Qui. "I had him...I had him so well." She looked at Marius. "You held back!"
"I was playing with my food," he replied. "It's not over. I've had a taste. Top notch I'd say. Their is no rush...he'll be dead. I could kill him in one movement."

Ravelyn looked at the window as the waves rolled up against the cliff. They did not reach the mansion from the height, but she sensed the power. Mephistop, she whispered to herself. You'll never learn will you. She closed the window and walked through the door into the council chambers. "Where is Qui?" she asked quite alarmed. Genesis replied. "He'll be back." She looked to Ravelyn, and Ravelyn nodded. But something was passed between the two, something unheard.

"My lord," Azari said to him, her eyes begging him. "Severe punishment is needed. As well as repayment." She kissed his neck, moving gently up to his lips.

Mephisto turned in amusement. Retaking his human form, he kissed her. "Of course, Azari. Of course..." Then he drew back. "Yet, I am inclined to forgive you, as it was Mar's fault. But my master... he is less kind."

"But your master looks upon me with favor," she said softly in an alluring voice.
Marius looks at Mar, who rolls his eyes in return. With a body like that anyone would look upon her with favor. marius lets out a laugh at the unheard speech. Azari was blocked from it, though they weren't sure if Mephistop could have heard it.

Mephisto smiled. "Really? Have you met the Nameless One?" His eyes were cold, icy. "I'm impressed. I truly am."

He turned towards Marius and Mar. "Leave us. Return to your cages. Perhaps I will relent and allow you to feed."

Mar muttered something, who was then backhanded by Marius and sent against the bars. Marius, while he remained sane was extremely dark in demeanor. Mar had gone crazy from the torture. Had he been in the right mind, he would have never gone against Ravelyn. But that is what Azari did best, manipulate.
Azari looked at Mephistop. "Once," She said softly, and placed her hand upon his face, cold, icy. "Though I prefer the one I can name."

After Mar and Marius had left, Mephisto drew her near him, kissing her roughly. "You know, you are almost a demon." He said, brushing back her hair.

Then his smile turned predatory. He ripped off her clothes and sent her falling down to the floor. "Don't try your mind tricks on me. I was tempting humans and stealing souls before Azrael had been put in that body."

OOC: Sorry to hijack...but Roania, you've mentioned this Mephistopheles to me before...and I'm quite interested in who the man is. If you'd like not to clutter up your thread, you can simply telegram a description and bio to me. Thank you. :P

Blood graced her arm as his viciousness had cut her. She looked to it as it healed immediately. She stood up, drawing close to him despite his rage. "You know," she said softly. "Why I liked Rave. She never asked questions. She never asked about my past. She just took me in." She returned the kiss, biting his lip with a slight amount of pressure. "And she never knew what I was before I was turned...Can you figure it out yet?" She said, drawing her hand to his chest.

"I can make several guesses, Azari." Mephisto said, tracing down the curves of her body with his hand. "But they are not important." He waved a hand, and his clothes vanished. "What is important..." he whispered into her ear, "is what you are now."

"What I am now," she said softly. "Is yours for the taking." Her eyes flickered with a demonic light as she met his. She ran her hand down his chest. I always will be. The sourceress looked at him, drawing near to him despite his rage.

Mephisto drew her close, holding her body to him. "And I am yours for the taking, Azari." He drew her close together, locking his lips with hers, running his fingers over her breasts.

In her mind, something clicked. She smiled at the fact of knowing. Her power was her own, but was strengthend by what he gave her. The darkness closed around them. A demonic laugh was heard, and the rest was darkness. (best end that here for a while and jump to after for younger veiwers)

"Marius...Azari...they...insane...MAr..."Qui stired slightly, and looked to Ravelyn.
"Calm down," she said softly. "I already know...." She rested her hand upon her son's forehead as he drifted back to sleep. She looked to Seni. "Thank you."
"Yes, M'lady." Anytime m'lady. Right M'lady. Of course M'lady... He breathed in deeply and returned to his corner.
"Gene, look after him for a while...I need to think over a few things..." She went back to the room and closed the door behind her.

Little did Mephisto know, that all of Azrael's chains had snapped. She had been set free by Vaughn...how much strength he gave to her. Their bond so unbreakable that the devil would be considered detached from hell to be compared with them.

OOC: Yes, but Azrael is useless against the Nameless One. Mephisto's master grows stronger, and shall be free soon.

And Mephisto has been free, along with Arithon. Out of the devils, only Lucifer remains imprisoned.

Domino saw the lightning strike. Saw the clouds gather as no clouds should do naturally. She jumped down from where she was and headed towards the mansion, arriving within a half hour.

Anyone that had known her for a while knew she was not as she was in the past. Domino's eyes held a cold fury behind them, her mind held much the same. In the past month she had gone from happy and carefree to angry and coldhearted towards anyone she didn't already know(and some she did know).

She looked around the area and removed her glasses as she walked towards the gate. Someone call for an Imperium Assasian? she says with her mind as she approaches.

As she opened the door to the mansion, she saw Qui lying on a table. Blood ran across his body. His hair was completely light, and one of his eyes was half blue. Genesis looked up as she walked in, being the only one now by Qui's side. The others were in the adjoining room, and Rave was behind closed doors.
Gene looked at the arrival. "Domino..."

Mephisto awoke. He shook Azari awake. "Wake up, woman."

Azari opened her eyes and stretched, looking at Mephistop. "Yes?" She asked with a smile upon her face. Her demonic eyes danced as she looked at him.

Domino nods to Genesis. She had a katana across her back and a Karn'Da blade on her hip, the inscriptions and jewels in it marking the blade as the same one Goor had used to kill her, twice.

She walks in and looks at Qui for a moment, her eyes softening, then growing cold again. "What happened?" she asks quietly.

Azari opened her eyes and stretched, looking at Mephistop. "Yes?" She asked with a smile upon her face. Her demonic eyes danced as she looked at him.

"Get up, and get our foolish minions up here." Mephisto blustered, unaware of the fact that he had accidentally named Azari as his equal, at least in regards to Mar and Marius.

Genesis looked back at her, placing her hand upon Qui's shoulder. "I'm not quite sure...something got him...badly. I've never seen him battered like this apart from his fight with his father. But Rave knows. I'm more worried for her than I am for this one. She's been in that room all day...she knows something she's not telling the rest of us."
Gene sounded upset. She looked over her brother, pushing his white hair from his forhead. His jeans were ripped and his shirt had been lost sometime back. Wounds were healing on his side, but lay open.

Azari opened her eyes and stretched, looking at Mephistop. "Yes?" She asked with a smile upon her face. Her demonic eyes danced as she looked at him.

Make her wait and watch as they are torn apart from the inside. Watch and see how our dear Seni works...as long as Qui is asleep, none know that I was the one to lure him...I will make sure he stays unconscious forever...

Kain looked to his small libary to which he had made. It had a selection of good books, thier subjects mostly upon combat and spells.

He reached out with his three talons to a blue book and took it from the lines of books to which he had collected. He was a passionate reader, it was his one escape from reality, he had read a great deal recently and improved himself in combat. But it was not enough for Kain...it was kind of a burning obsession, there was no other way to alivate the constant moral self questioning.

He looked at the book and with a new thought set it back in it's place. He slowly walked out with a sense of melancholy about him, Cloak fluttering behind him in the windless and dead air. Kain noted ironically that he was the only being that would "live" in this accursed island, and what he saw in his normal eyesight, of living beings dying, their soul's flaking away, had now come into reality. Nothing seemed to die because nothing lived. This only made Kain more depressed, he used to love to see the sight of nature, now he could only remember those days. And slowly those memories where becoming more distant and grey....

He walked up the mountain side like he usually did, the thunder still in the air, crackling it's contempt to this creature, the lighting coming down stronger and louder. The rain continued to storm down, but Kain did not care. He barely felt it.

When he reached the top, his feet within the moist and soon muddy soil, he drew the Brightblade, it's usual chilling ring was not so chilling, it's mocking towards life was still there, but it did not seem to effect Kain so much. It was not disturbing.

He looked at the blade, looked at the skull hilt. Looked at the black metal adorned with runes, the tears from the clouds running down the chilling metal. The clouds continued to weep for thier child who had gone through all this.

Kain began to swing the Brightblade in combat movements, each swing brought a hollow and distrubing *swing* noise, but Kain seemed not to notice it. Faster and faster he went, he poured his frustration and torment into the attacks. Soon he became a blur it seemed, the sword flying through the air only a half a second, it landed elsewhere.

This continued, Kain growing faster and faster as the storm continued on. Kain did not care about the rain. Kain did not care about the thunder. His attacks against his inner demons missed time and time again, he could not slay them. He reached a peak, his body crying out for rest, but Kain gave it none.

And then....he broke down when he could do no more. He thrust the Birghtblade powerfully into the ground, the blade swinging from side to side from the strength of the attack against the soil. He fell to his knees and pounded the ground in frustration, the mud to which he stood upon splashing. He began to weep in bitterness to his prediciment, and continued to pund the ground as the rain flowed down his form, his white hair now muddy and wet.

He simply was there all alone in the rain as the thunder continued to bolt down upon the area. He remained there for quite a while...

ooc: Of course. :P Basically...Qui makes prophecy. Prophecy says that Mephistopheles (A greater demon of hell..much equal to the rank of a Seraphim, except very evil) has broken his chains that constrict him to the hell, and has risen to earth seeking for one angel in particular...Rave. Rave screwed him over in the past before, sending him back to hell...however his bonds that once held him are now broken. And he's coming to get revenge on the angel. What has happened so far is the high council has been called. Basically close friends and trusts of Rave's...hasn't been called in over 2000 years. Gathering to smote this evil.

In a plan to draw Qui out of the mansion to kill him, the more chances without the mind breaker, the better...and the weaker Rave will be if her son should die, Azari lured him out to where Azari, Mar, and Marius attacked. However, in not taking it seriously, Marius merely through a punch, more focused on consuming his meal than participating. His last resort was to jump from a window and strike the building they had been in with electricity. He stumbled along the beach, badly beaten, until he opened the door to the mansion, falling on the steps. He is now in Seni's care...how convenient.
Genesis is by the door with Seni and the unconscious Qui. The rest are in the council chamber. Rave is behind closed doors in a room that outlooks the ocean. No one can see what she is doing due to the frosted windows. They merely see shadows.

ALL TO HELL: (EVIL)
Azari: whom was exiled by Rave for many killings, has a natural hatred toward her. Though engaged to Qui, she has left his side to be taken by Mephistop. Her loyalty is to him only now.
Marius: is a follower of Mephistop. Anceint vampire, old fashion attitude. Secrets he hasn't revealed to Mephistop as well. :wink: Was the sire of Daja, and wants to kill the angel who "stole" his fledgling away from him.
Mar: was taken by Marius in the forest of a different nations. His loyalty was to Rave, however he was driven insane by torture. Basically, give him ten yards of bubble wrap and he'll just jump around and hit at anyone who comes near, even Mephisto... :o .
Seni: has taken quite a liking to Kenja. Kenja is his sister...which would be incest. He doesn't seem to care. Since he can't have her, he has aligned with Mephisto to destroy her and her mentor (Qui). If he can't have Kenja, no one will.
Mephistop: You thought Qui was bad? Definition of evil. He has taken Azari by her word, and seeks to destroy Rave...that devil of an angel.

EXISTANCE (Good)
Rave: Little does Mephistop know that her chains have been broken. Her power to stand up against him release by her eternal love, Vaughn. Training constantly every day with little hour of sleep, she has seen her technique of bone akiedo perfected, and has cleared her mind of most things, with the exception of one...
Qui: Miss Ravelyn's son. Usually a bad ass, this boy has taken a change of heart. With the time coming, his hair has turned white, as if all color had been drained from it. His right eye, usually fully crimson, is half a pale silvery blue. Not willing to admit he was born from an angel and a vampire, that Rave was turned after the fact...not even knowing that this may or may not be true. He has experiance another side of him...and hasn't backhanded Joshua for over a week now...something must be wrong.
Kenja: Her eyes set on Joshua, she does not know that shadow that Seni casts upon her.
Genesis: She has been on edge as of late. She spent nights reading and practicing, perfecting her psionics, for it would be her only weapon in the end. While the ancient was strong physically, she wasn't as strong as their standards were concerend. She focused on developing her mind.
Seth: Recently engaged to Miss. Eclipse Ravenstar, his mind dwells upon her safety should she stand against the darkness. His concern is much for his sire...

(OOC Kain is something odd. He is a bit mixed up right now...so he *might* go either way. It depends who talks to him and what they say. Most proberbly on Good though...but who knows? Anything could happen. Kain was sired by Rave, who Kain is extremely loyal to. He was exiled for siring his love when she was dying, because he was a fledgling. Kain was cursed by Qui to not be able to kill mortals. Rave posed the question that if Kain truelly loved Daniella, and was concerned for her, was this a better fate for her? He is going into a state of depression over it, he cannot find and answer. Kain does not know what has occoured here, only that of the prophesy.

OOC: This is a little long, but I hate leaving out major details. Domino is a half-elf and was a rogue asassian that was wanted for high crimes against the Crimmond government. She was being hunted by the best bounty hunter Crimmond had, Goor. Goor kills her and all the crimes are nulled by her death. Unexpectedly, while she is cast into Hades to await entrance to the Pit of Fire, the proxy ruler, Anubis, grants her a new life in return for three years service in collecting the souls of sinners. She served the time and was set free, only to be killed once again by Goor in a military coup that fails, leaving the now 'undead' Domino in power. When the real ruler returns she becomes an asassian again, but in the service of Crimmond this time. That brings us to the present. Domino does know of Qui's prophesy and believes it, as she has confirmed it is true, through contacts in Hades, that Mephistop's bonds are broken.

He snapped his fingers, a goblet of a shimmering red liquid appearing within his hand. "I can save you... if you swear to serve me in all things."

Paladernia looked at Mephisto and spit at him. She was mortal, but held dearly to Rave for unknown reasons. This woman was on the high council, but she never spent much time around the mansion, so her disappearance caused no more than a whisper. If only Qui could speak. She looked towards the goblet. "I wish to live," she said, her blue hair falling over one shoulder, darkened with blood. "But I will never swear my alligence to you. My heart lies with the angel, and her only. You will never get me to drink from that cup."

Mephisto sighed. "Very well, girl. I tried to save you. Marius, do as you wish."

Marius looked over Paladerina and smiled. She turned her head away from him. He bit into her neck, but she had no energy left to scream. He placed his hand on her head as the last ounce of breath slipped away. He cut his wrist with a small knife, and held it over her mouth. She tryed to turn away, but it was no use. The tainted blood began to seep through her veins. She was changing. She convulsed on the floor.
"Useless," Marius commanded and Mar was right by his side in a fit of laughter. "I need you to control her, do you undertand?"
"Yes..yes yes," he looked at Paladerina again, "Yes."

"Would that mean that... that..."

She couldn't say it out loud. She was staring at her grand-father. Her eyes were imploring for an answer.

"that he's lost forver?" the man completed as if he had read in the little girl's mind like in an opened book.

He sat on the bench. He seemed to be gathering energy, pondering every word he was about to say.

"Forever is a strange word, you know," he said with a calm and didactic tone. "Few is known about souls. Do they last forever? Can you destroy them?"

Sarah didn't seem to be reassured by the man's words.

"Look," he said, standing up. "Look at me."

He turned around, arms opened.

"I have been lost forever," he continued with a little smile. "I have been killed, I have been sired, I have been liberated...

- Yes, inquisitors," the man repeated with sadness in the eyes. "Then I've been to the other world, like any other knight.
- Like Dad.
- Yes, like your father," the man echoed again, his eyes a little wet. "And I've been terminated there by our ennemies. And have I been lost forever?"

A flash passed into the sky followed by the sound of storm. The man looked at the sky, a little frigthened.

"Maybe I shouldn't speak that lightly," he said with a barely audible voice. "Truth is I've been saved again.

- Yes," the man answered with a slight laugh. "by Him if that's what you wanna call it."

She looked confused. The man walked to her and took her into his arms.

"No one is lost forever," he said. "Beside, your aunt is looking for him. If he's reachable, she'll find him."

Sarah was crying, softly.

"Here, here," the man whispered at her ear. "Take it easy my child. I may not be able to find your father, but I can get you to your mother."

Domino sighed, not getting an answer from Rave. She kept her mind closed though. As she enters the other room she wouldn't return any nods or hellos, simply finding a chair and sitting, turning her thoughts inward. As she did she thought she felt something. Something that she wishes she hadn't...

The Nomad stood beside Qui, looking down at his body. Genesis couldn't see him. Her mind, as strong as it was, was not a match for his mind and the staff he held. He looks to the only one that could see him without trying. "It is a good thing he seems to be healing... I would not know where to take the soul." She just keeps staring at him with her cold eyes and he gets the message. He is gone the next instant, no lightning bolt, no sound... just gone.

As Joshua felt the urge to turn away he stoped. He felt something had happened to Qui. He held his place when suddenly a small light came on on his uniform.

"I don't like this," Seth said to Genesis, stepping through the door. "He should have been fully recovered by now....he's a fast healer." He looked over the wounds, then exchanged a curious glance with Genesis. "None of these wounds have healed anymore than a minute. It's as if they've stopped completely.
"Seni has done everything he can, he just won't wake up." she said motioning to Seni who was sitting on a nearby chair.
"He's not taking to my healing," he replied indifferent to the situation.
"Joshua's spine was severed in two and you healed him...Qui has but deep gashes. Other than that he looks fine..."
"I swear I've done my best," he replied, looking at Seth with a hurt expression.
"Can't you even wake him up?" Genesis asked, beginning to take on a suspicion.
"No." He replied simply, and went into the other room with the rest. Gene looked at Seth, and he to her.
"Something is not right, Gene. Is there anyway I you can get into his mind?"
"Break into Qui's mind? Ha! When hell rises to earth."
"If you haven't noticed, it sort of is. Can you get me inside?"
"I could try. It may be possible, for I can provide a link between you two..."

Domino sighs softly, rubbing at the band that wrapped tightly around her wrist. It was uncomfortable and she wanted to take it off, but regulations said she couldn't, not when she wasn't in the Empire.

Rave paced around the room, the light diffused by the stained glass windows. A knife was held in her her hand. The blade glistened in the light. She whirled around, the knife going straight into the wall directly in the center. She stretched her hands over her head. "I'm not going to get through this without you, you know." she said to herself softly. But she was addressing someone else....though he could not answer her, or had never. "I always thought I had been one step ahead of the world, guess I fell behind. It has never been the same, Vaughn. It will never be. I've worked so hard, I really have. I've been preparing for this since the prophecy was made." She looked at the ring upon her hand, and clasped her hands together. "I'm begging to think that this may be the end. I know I shouldn't be saying things like that. I have never said anything like that. Not on the other side of the barrier, not during the trial, not even when... never did I think it would come to this. God I miss you so much..."

Seth burst from his trance, Genesis suprised at the strength. He lunged at Seni, lifting him by his throat. In a single movement, he was thrown to the ground on his head, knocking him unconscious as well.

"What the hell are you doing?" Gene asked.

"Betrayal," he said, and Gene completely understood. Rave had warned both of them earlier, though they had no idea it was to be Seni. Rave slowely opened the door, but none of it had to be explained. She looked at the two on the ground, then to Gene and Seth.

"This is too much for me..." she said to herself.

Sarah stared at the door. She looked back. Her grand-father had disapeared.

I hate it when he does that.

She got back at the door.

So... my mother is behind that door?

She hesitated but, finally, digging into herself for some courage, she knocked at the door.

Rave looked at the door across the room as a knock was heard. Her eyes shot up to it. The angel's wings closed behind her back. "You know, everytime there is a knock at the door...I just think there would be some possibility it would be you, but everytime it is disappointment." She laughed to herself and walked to it, her right hand gripped on the knob. She turned to open it.
Her crimson eyes fell upon a young girl. She was slightly startled, for the her eyes met those of scarlet. She looked so much like herself...and like... She was silent for a few seconds. "Can...I...help you?" She asked, shaking off the possibility, she would remember having a child. :roll:

Sarah's mouth opened but no words came out.

Get... your... ideas... straight.

"I... I... guess... My name is Vaughn, Sarah Vaughn."

Rave was speechless. She attempted to form words, but couldn't. She looked at her. Her cold hands grasped the girls arm, and lead her into the room. She looked at the door and it snapped shut at her will. She released her arm. She placed her hands to her head. "You..." she whispered. "It can't be." she said simply, though the girl resembled both.

The production of your love will live forever....

She placed her hand to the girls face. "Sarah," she said softly, her voice trembling to choke back her tears, but it was no use. "...he...he always liked that name." A tear fell from her eye, as she turned away from the girl to hide it. She was caught between her emotions, her daughter stood in front of her, Vaughn was gone, and she was lost. She was happy and torn completely in two at the same time. She couldn't say anything else...she couldn't bring herself to.

Sarah was crying. She hugged Rave as hardly as she could. She was trembling.

"You... you don't know where he is... do you?" the 9-year old girl asked with the sadest tone.

Rave wrapped her arms around her. "No..." she said softly. "I...I don't.." A tear fell from her eyes as she embraced the girl. "I would do anything to find him...to bring him back...but I don't know how to...I...." She broke down, falling to her knees, and bringing herself to the girls level.
Vaughn...Oh God..

Sarah passed her hand onto Rave's face, tenderly.

"I know..." she whispered. "I know... He's gone. But you are here. Yes, you are here."

The girl smiled.

"Yes, you are here... mum."

Rave looked at her. She would not borther the girls mind with the prophecy. She would not tell her of such things...that might cause quite a stir.
Qui awoke with a splitting headache. He looked up to see Gene. "Well...that was fun." He looked around at Seni, and sprang to his feet, walking over to the healer. He picked him up by the shirt, and punched through the glass in the window. It shattered, the rough edges cutting into Seni as he threw him from the window to the ground around three hundred feet down. He cracked his neck slightly, then looked at Gene and Seth. "Well then...as you can see my pacience is touched."
He brushed of the chards from his clothes, and slowely open the door to the council chambers. he walked through the door, and across the room. He knocked softly on the door which Rave was in and slowely entered.
His face went blank, and Rave noticed him, and stood up. "Sarah...this...this is Qui..." Qui was completely dumbstruck. He looked at Rave. I always referred to you as the rabbits...this proves my theory..
Rave shot him a glance, where a smile crossed his face. He had always kept his humor, even when the weight of the world lay across their shoulders.

Sarah looked at Qui. She didn't seemed surprised at all as if she knew who he was.

"Qui... of course... my step-brother..."

She looked at Rave.

"What's going on? There is something wrong. Something terrible is about to happen. I can feel it."

Qui looked at the girl, then placed his strong hand upon her shoulder lightly. .He looked to Rave who exchanged her glance. They knew what was coming...and it was coming for all of them. If Mephisto found out she had a daughter as well... She looked at Sarah, sitting down to her level, her soft wings folding behind her. "No...no everything is fine."

"Who is Mephisto?" Sarah asked with a calm and mature voice as if she had penetrated their thoughts.

She put her hand onto Qui's.

Kain had enough of this. He had to seek answers. This eternal ringing in his ears of those unanswerable question was too much.

He packed his things, the books he needed....that was pretty much it. There was not much to take. Witha gentle sigh Kain left the island, with a swirl of magic surrounded him, the tingling sensation of the magic brushing against his skin as he lowered his defences to the arcane touch of magic.

He teleported near the Shentavo Mansion......but not too close.

Qui looked at Rave with a sigh. "She definately is your daughter..." he said with a smile. "Your children have a thing for having brilliant minds." He laughed slightly, and caught a smile across her face. She looked at the girl, and simply said. "An old rival...nothing for you to be worried about."

Sarah looked up at Qui.

"Well, your brilliant mind seems to be worried about this man. I have lost my father, there's no way I'll lose my mother now that I've found her."

She stared at Rave.

"Tell me what's going on, please," she implored.

"You will not lose her, " Qui said softly. "and your father is not lost..." Rave looked at him. Qui smiled slightly, she wanted to ask him what he meant by that, but there was so much on her mind.
She looked to her daughter. "Trust me, it is nothing for to be concerned about."

"I can see you want to protect me," Sarah said with a grin. "But why do I feel it is you who need protection?"

She looked up at Qui again with the exact same look Rave gave him seconds before.

"Agh! Don't look at me like that," he said with a smile, picking her up into his arms. "I always wanted a little sister...but not one who could manipulate me!" he smiled at Rave, who then looked to the ground.
"I'll be fine. I've always had someone to protect me...maybe...he...their watching over me." Another tear began to form, but she held it back.

(OOC: You got me. :P I didn't notice it, too enthralled with the story. There is a previous post listing all characters and such. All are in the mansion with the exception of Azari, Mephisto, Mar, Marius, and now Seni. :lol: )

To their surprise, Sarah fell asleep within Qui's arms. It is then that they saw how tired she looked. It is then that they spotted the necklace and the silver medal. Words were carved onto it. Ancient elvish it seemed.

Qui smiled at her, and held her close to him. Rave laughed. "You're a horrible role model Qui."
"Am I?" he chuckled slightly, and looked at a chain around her neck. "Ravelyn? Can you read this..." She walked over to him, and looked at the chain. "Possibly...it may take some time though." Qui looked at Sarah as she slept. He laughed at the thought of what Gene would say...but he was more concerned on keeping her existance hidden form Mephistopheles.

Rave..I hope I am not disturbing anything...but I need to talk to you. Kain's voice floated into Rave's mind. there was the sense of saddness about it, but with the humble respect as he usually gave them.

Kain was waiting near the beach again, the waters lapping against the sand. He stared out, his Cloak a greyish colour.

Rave did not answer...she did not hear him. So much was happening. And in two days, she would have to face it.
Seni flinched slightly on the shore, coughing. He lookd up to see Kain some distance off. He reached out to him. This one does not know of my alignment...maybe Azari should see him...get to him before the angel does..
"Kain," he asked softly. "help me..."

Kain turned to him, and immediately went over to try and help.

"What is wrong?" Kain asked to this near enough stranger. He did not truelly recognise him for what he was, a Shentavo. (Kain is a bit mixed up).

Kain went over, his Cloak going from a grey to a lighter blue, he went over and went over to see if there where any physical wounds.

(Description of his character, so I can remind myself?)

Seni's cropped light brown hair fell over one eye. His voice was deep, yet there was something childish about him. His eyes were a deep emerald, much like Mar's had been before he had been taken. He was known as the healer at the academy. He had healed Joshua after Qui's "spar". He stood up slowely, a chard of glass sticking into his arm. He removed it, but directed Kain's attention into his eyes, so he wouldn't notice.
"I'll be fine. Kain, Azari needs your help, she is in great danger. I tried to stop him, I really did..."

"Who? Who attacked! Tell me!" Kain asked desperately, at this knowledge. He felt a sort of sick horror, as if the prophesy might somehow to be true.

Joshua just rolled his eyes as he hid in the shadows. "Looks like one of those days," he says aloud

Domino looked up, not really reacting to any of the action around her. Something just contacted her. Her vision blacked out and mind closed off completely, she would be suprised if even Qui could sense her thoughts.

She broke the contact and opened her eyes and lowered her block to what it was before, not answering any concerned looks she may recieve.

Seni looked at Kain, in a distressed manor. He thought for a moment. "Qui attacked her Kain. He has betrayed all of us...I was running after him when he struck me down. I know where they are. You must help her! Come with me!"

"Domino?" Jazz asked her, her black hair braided down her back. "What's wrong?"

ooc: Alright. Azari lures Qui out. Qui is ambushed. He returns. Seni is the healer, but is under Mephistops guidance. He prolongs Qui's unconsciousness. Gene has suspicion, and sends seth into his mind, Qui tells him about the betrayal. Seth knocks Seni you. Seni is thrown from a window by Qui, knowing where his loyalties lie.
Rave misses Vauhgn for those of you who haven't gotten that yet. He was consumed by darkness...long story, and vanished fighting to save her life. Their love produced a daughter. Daughter is Sarah. Qui has taken a liking to Sarah... Rave loves Sarah, and keeps the prophecy from her, so as not to worry the child.
Seni is telling Kain a whole different story. :-D So he knows none of this except in ooc.
Kenja is frantically trying to...play checkers? -_-;

She closes he eyes again as they try to contact her again. This time Domino sends them a little burst of energy, telling them without words that she isn't coming back soon.

Kenja looked at Joshua, and jumped up at his presense. She nearly knocked him over. "Where the hell have you been?!" she asked. "You missed Qui unconscious AND Seni being thrown from three hundred feet in the air as well as Rave pacing around endlessly in a room talking to herself." She laughed, and held him tightly. "And checkers were getting boring."

Jazz tilts her head slightly, her dark skin in almost complete contast with her white fangs. She was not a hybrid, but a regular pure blood. "I have heard you had worked in Anubis," she said after a while. "Are the rumors true? Is Mephistop coming for her?"

Domino sighs. "I really don't know." She said, answering the last question, hoping that she might assume it answered both. If Rave wished the others to know, she or Qui would let them know.

"So that's what I missed. Ah damn I would have killed to put make up on Qui while he was out," Joshua says playfuly as he gives Kenja a hug then a kiss.

Domino sighs softly as the Empire takes the last and most drastic step to find her. Activating the message implant. Her vision blurs once again and a face appears. "Got you. I should have known you would be there. I am on my way to bring you back. Come peacefully and we will overlook this."

Her vision returns to normal and she knows more of the others must have noticed her drifting. "Damn... not him."

"W...what?" Kain proclaimed as he tried to take this new infomation in...it did not see possible...why would he do such a thing? There was no logic behind of all this....

Kain drew the Brightblade in anger, the being ingited instantly, the blade was tingling warmly at the detection of angelic....and demonic beings. Kain was too entrapped within his anger to notice. He promptly turned around and ran towards the mansion, his Cloak trailing behind him a blood red, the sign of violance to come.

"Qui! How could you do this!" Kain bellowed, his deep voice heard from all around, his accusing voice filled with deep wrath.

His loyality to Rave....he walked straight into deception. How was Kain to know?

Seni looked at Kain. "Quickly! We must go. I know where he's fled to." A wicked grin crossed Seni's face as he looked away from Qui. "It's about fifteen miles from here in an abandoned castle." He said as he began the journey. This is so perfect...Kain will be taken into Azari's embrace, and there will be no escape.

Jazz looked at Domino. "Alright," she said in a soft voice, "Now i KNOW something is going on."

Mephisto watched. "Marius, don't mess up. Mar... back into the cage, and don't come out until you are fit to human. You're too obvious."

"Why would he do this...." Kain asked himself as he ran towards the castle with Seni.

"He went absolutly mad. It must be his tainted blood. Though Rave may possess more power, more people have died by his hand than hers." Seni said, upon reaching the crubling door, he kicked it open, leading Kain. Marius smiled softly, and punched Mar in the face. "He's absolutely useless!" he remarked, looking at Paladering. Her eyes flickered open.
Marius looked to Azari. "Someone is coming....Seni?" He remarked. Azari was too busy tending to Mephistop to notice. She stopped momentarily. "Kain."

"Yes....Daja was corrupted in the end. Has Qui befallen the same fate?" The question was not a question at all, but a statement. Kain followed on, a swirl of emotions. What would this mean for the Shentavo's?

"Is Ravelyn..still alive?" Kain asked with baited breath, he did not wish to hear the enevitable just yet.

"Barely," he said, hiding his wicked smile from Kain's veiw. "He got to her as well, but she found victory over him." Seni lead him up a narrow staircase. "I can feel his rage. He's here somewhere. I do hope Azari is still alright though."

IC: Domino looked at Jazz. "I'm not the only Assasian Grade 1 with powers. There is another... Drake. He knows where I am and now is coming to get me to go back to Crimmond. His power is almost as much as mine and he never had to go to Hades to get it."

"Damn. That loathesome thing could ruin everything." Mephisto walked to the mirror, delivering a sharp kick to Mar's side. "You three. Get yourself together, cleaned and genned up. Contact the others, orders will be forthcoming."

The Nomad continues calmly. Anubis wishes to know what the entire Underworld wishes to know. Only he could locate you, however, and send me here. The message he sends is: We know you wish to exact revenge and we respect this wish. But what happens when you destroy her? Will you seal the gates behind you or find a way to open them to us all? It has been many thousands of years since I have strode upon the Earth. For others it has been eons. We grow extremely weary of our cages...

A man walks the streets of Hyku city(nice factbook, great Daja pic. :lol: ), ignoring the music around him. He is dressed in mostly black, eyes gleaming like glass. He could see everything like it was mid-afternoon, no matter about the darkness. He had surgery to make sure he knew who was around him at night.

He walked into a bar, putting his sunglasses back on, and had a few drinks, knowing Domino wouldn't be leaving the country anytime soon.

OOC: Sorry for bringing in a semi-old char and a new one, but... *give Rave a chocolate-chip cookie* :) I'll include a pic when he shows up at the mansion.

The Nomad actually laughs. The first time he ever had. A hollow, unpleasent sound. I am not a 'fallen one'. I was created by Anubis, for no being that lived in this world could be trusted to do my work. I have no soul and no matter how many I collect... I will never have one. My service is to my creator and no one else. I will not bow before anyone else, not Lucifer, not the Almighty... and certainly not you.

Mephisto grew bored. Run and tell your master that I shall speak to him, not some emissary.

The Nomad paused. You would have to return to the Underworld... he is trapped in Hades. You know that.

Kain continued on, anger boiling within his mind, his thoughts one of accusation and filled with wrath.

Seni entered behind Kain into a large room. He closed the door behind him, and it locked silently. Marius was on the side, flipping a coin against the wall. Azari stood in the middle, and looked up to Kain. Come to me Kain. Her eyes were red, and her trance was powerful. It was as if Kain was drifting away.

Kain did as he was told, his mind refocusing. There where doubts....He walked slowly forward.

"Where is Qui?" Kain asked, the Brightblade still within his hand. Again that strange feeling, like vertigo when a demon was near....

"Well," she said, as he walked toward her. "Since Seni's here, chances are is that Qui is just fine."
"Sorry M'lady," he replied. "It was Seth."
"I see," she said softly, and looked back at Kain. "Come closer my child." The hold became stronger over him. It was as if he could not lift his hand.

The Brightblade chuckled darkly to itself. It knew of what was going on. It send a little message to Azari, the demon taking interest in all of this.

Changing his views upon the world so that he may see who he should really serve hmm? As long as I am freed, it makes no difference, Kain will provide a powerful ally in the future I am sure....

Kain went forward, slower. He tried to resist...something he knew was wrong.

"What...what is this? Explain this maddness! You act so calmly when Rave has been attacked!" Kain said to them, still going forward....

Azari slipped her hand around to the back of his neck. "Rave has not been attacked...and as you can see I'm in top condition." Her trance was so strong, he was tied to her. The blade began to loosen from his hand. She brought her lips to meet his in a kiss that was like liquid fire. It was invigorating and weakening at the same time. "You are mine Kain."

The Brightblade clattered to the floor. Kain thought he heard the mocking laugh of the demon within as it clattered.

"You are mine Kain"

The feeling was total release...utter pleasure to which he had never felt before...he held onto it for long seconds, the feeling of being totally lost within the embrace took over him. His Cloak strangely dissolved from him....the spirit of the Cloak wanted nothing to do with this pact.

You have changed. The Cloak whispered.

Kain opened his eyes and came to his senses. This was false. This was fake! This was no love! There was nothing here for him! Deceit! He fought against it and pushed her away with a light phychic spell, pushing himself off of her.

He launched himself a little bit back, and ordered the Brightblade back into his grip. It did so, it slid along the floor and went into the air.

"Why at every turn must I be tested! Have I not endured enough? Please...don't..don't make me do this....stop this...stop this now." Kain said, his grip around the Brightblade. He was in total shock, he was totally alienated by these people.

To let go and allow them take the pain away was so tempting....to never care again. To allow them to hold him, to embrace him within thier enchanting hold, without a care. But that was not what Kain wanted.

Drake stepped out of the cab and tossed the driver a fifty. "Keep it." He walked across the grounds, eyes protected by the dark sunglasses.

Domino looked up at the knocking and sighed. "Took his time..." She got up and walked to the door, pulling it open and not even waiting for him to speak. She grabbed his glasses and shoved him into the sunlight.

Drake watched as the door opened and stepped back when he saw it was Domino. She moved fast, taking his glasses and pushing him back into the light. The sensory input was too much, even with his eyes closed. His eyes burned. It was Drake's main weakness. The surgery to his eyes meant he had to wear sunglasses all the time. He screamed mentally, focusing it to blast Domino and her alone. He dove into the darkness of the house, still shielding his eyes, temorarily blinded.

Domino cursed herself for not moving as she found herself on the floor, struggling to get up. She pulled herself up and reached for her Karn'da blade, grabbing him and placing the blade against his throat. She stopped though, looking at his rather pain wracked face and glassy reflective eyes that were useless to hiim at the moment. Drake would be dead by now if he had been anyone else... but she couldn't do it to him.

Domino tossed him to the ground and put the blade away, dropping Drake's glasses in front of him, which he put on quickly. She walked away and sat down, leaving most of the others wondering what had just happened.

Drake sat up and moved towards a wall, leaning on it until his sight returned. "Why didn't you kill me? You had me..." No answer came.

Mephisto sighed, irritated. Failures, the lot of them. He waved a hand, and appeared in the room in which Kain stood, facing his minions. "Never send a vampire to do a Devil's job." He turned and faced his enemy. "Kain... I am through with sending proxies. Through with turning people against you, through with manipulating others to do my work for me."

He landed and locked eyes with Kain. "This time, I do my own work."

His power rushed to him. The doors became bolted and locked, resistant to any means Kain might take to escape. "You die now, Kain. There is no one to save you, no childish prince, no angel, no golem, no Azrael. They are all gone. All there is, all that is here, is you, me," He reached around and pulled out a flaming whip, which he cracked against the floor by Kain, "And the Whip of Souls."

Screaming voices could be heard coming from the whip, the sound of hundreds in agony. Kain looked around. The room was... different. Gone were the previous surroundings. Kain was in a dark area. In the distance, great engines of torture, gears and cogwheels, could be seen.

Rave's eyes shot up. Her heart stopped, if it had every started. She looked at Qui with a quickening in her eyes. "It's time," she said to him. His smile faded. He placed Sarah upon the couch, and sprang back to the others.

Qui burst through the door and looked at the others. "The time has arrived...Mephistop has come...Azari, Marius, Mar, Seni, do not be fooled by their tricks...they are under his control now. Kenja looked at Joshua and kissed him lightly. Qui looked at them, and shuddered slighlty. Alexeil looked at Jazz, exchanging glances as the only fledglings present. Seth wished he could speak to Eclipse, but she was no where to be found. Genesis grabbed her creator's staff, and held it tightly. Her eyes were an ice blue, turning to white, the psion was ready.
Qui was on edge, blades and guns for both hands, and his eyes swirling with crimson, and one with an ice blue flare. His white hair fell directly above his eyes, and he swiped it back with his hands.

Rave looked at Sarah, sleeping upon the couch. She ran her hands along the girls face, and kissed her on the cheek. She undid an amulet from her neck, similar to what she had given to Vaughn, though different in the sense that this heart was white, and his was red. There had been only a few made, and two Rave had possessed. "Vaughn...remember me." she said softly. She looked at her daughter. If I know my self, and some of my more....erm...charming qualities passed to her...chances are she'll come after me...but I can't bare to have her harmed. "Forgive me, Sarah." With the whipser of angelic words, A barrier was placed around the room as she closed the door. No one could enter nor leave until Rave's command...but if Rave should die, the spell will shatter. She closed the door behind it, locking it, even though the spell would hold true to her will.
Rave looked at those gathered. In a quick burst, the wings tore though her back, ripping the back of her black shirt. Black leather was tied around her knuckles and wrists to act as a brace. There were two blades on either of her hips. She wore black pants and boots. .Her black hair fell down her spine, and her crimson eyes took them all in. It was a beautiful sight to see. She walked slowely, making her way through them all. She looked at her son, whom stood there strong and immovable. She turned to face him, then she realized he was taller than she.
"My how you've grown," she said with a smile, revealing her fangs. He looked at her softly.
"and have you," he replied with a smile. She ran her hand along his face, his white hair brushing across the back of your hands.
"Now will you finally admit it?" she asked. He paused for a moment, then smiled.
"I was born of a full angel and a full vampire, which would make me..."
"Like me." she replied. "though your wings have probably been clipped from the damage you did."
"Wings?!"
"Well if they didn't turn up when you were born, it's doubtful. I'm just joking."
"I love you, m'lady."
"And I you, m'lord." She hugged him. He was suprised at first, usually he was extremely cold, but never toward her. Never toward her. She realsed, as he did. She looked at them all, then walked toward Gene.
"Genesis," she addressed her. "My first fledgling, the only to take up psionics, you are wonderful. When you walk into a room, you make everyone's day better. You're beautiful, and have a wonderful mind to match. Thank you, for all you've done for me."
She walked next to Seth, with a smile to the macho one leaning up against the wall. "Seth, you have my blessing with Eclipse. She is a wonderful girl, and I see her heart. She is perfect for you, do not take her for granted, or I'll have to smack you, whether I'm dead or alive." She laughed and got a smile from him.
"Kenja," she said turning to her and Joshua. "You're probably the most positive person here. You always have a smile on your face, and always seem to end up in a closet with Joshua." She gave Joshua a devilish look. "Don't think I don't know about that." She looked to Joshua. "Take care of her Joshua...and Qui." she looked back to her son. "Please don't maim him again." All gave a slight chuckled, and Qui looked at Joshua with a smile for the first time.
"Alexiel," she said softly to Seth's fledgling. "You have been great. Always eager to learn, especially from Seth. No more are you a fledgling, but a neonate." she shot her eyes toward Jazz. "The same to you as well Jazz. The aspiring sourceress...looking for fire elementality."
She looked at Domino. "Domino? How many times have you died so far, three?" she laughed. "I've got one more on you, but please don't attempt to catch up." she laughed. "You have been my friend. We took out keaton. And velmora, enough said."
She paused for a long while, then addressed them all. "Thank you. Everyone. You are my most trusted and all I ever knew of this world. If I had time, I would write a book for each of you...and I have for Qui." She chuckled for her self. "He's a scholar, right?" She laughed again, and Qui smiled at the fact.
"Qui can read?" Kenja said, causing a greater laugh. Qui stared at her momentarily, and a snicker crossed his face.
"Yes," Rave replied. "It was shocking to me too." She lookd at her son, knowing he did have a brilliant mind, but his muscle clouded most people's first impressions." She smiled, and placed her hand on the door, but someone turned her back. It was Qui.
"And you Ravelyn," he said. "You are the mother to all of us, despite race or creed, you've been there for all of us. You are a mother to myself...to Sarah...and to everyone. You gave life to this land and to us. You have protected all of us, and this land. You have fought, been stabbed, beaten, killed, shot, tortured, put on trial, everything...and you are still here today. Though no one says anything, we all know. You loved Vaughn with your heart...even Joshua could see that one. And all the time you were "absent" the first year of the academy.." he looked at her devilishly. "Don't think I don't know about that." Rave blushed slightly, and looked to the ground momentarily. "We're here for you...never forget that."
"I won't." she repleid. She heard something in her mind, something faint. "Mephisto..." She trailed off, pushing open the door violently. "Now is the time. Let's go...hurry, I fear that...one is already in trouble." She spread her wings, and flew at a rapid pace toward the distant castle. Storm clouds flickered overhead. Qui followed next, still levitating without wings, though slightly slower than Rave. Lighting crashed down on the ocen in warning at his will, his eyes a fiercesom scarlet. Kenja grabbed Josh's hand, jumping into Qui's car. There were several cars for those who could not travel quick enough. Alexiel climbed in a car with Seth. Seth reved the engine and sped off. Jazz smiled and looked at Domino. In a second, she was gone. She knew how domino would get there.
The girl had been a teleporter.
MEPHISTO! Rave's voice called out and shook the castle. Azari and Marius looked around, while Mar lay unconscious. Paladerina looked at Kain with longing eyes. I'M HERE. Come get what you want so badly. The angel you never could control. Never get a hold of. I'm here...and you shall not take Kain. For the second you attempt, you will receive a rude awakening. I have come for YOU Mephistop. And I will send you back to the fires of hell! MARK MY WORDS!

"No, not until I kill Kain." Mephisto reached out, and with one enormous, bestial hand lifted Kain up. There was no way anyone could get to here, here in the fires of Hell itself.

He snapped his fingers. Azari, Mar, Marius, Seni, and Paladerina disapeared and reapeared back in the Shop. "Your death comes, Kain. Feel its breath."

Rave stopped in her tracks, looking at the castle. She sighed and shook her head. "Mephisto, I'm beginning to think that you've lost you're touch. Can't you be a man? Or are you hiding from me..." She laughed at him, and nearly fell over. "You have to be the sorriest excuse for a demon I ever laid eyes on..."

Without even turning his head, Mephisto kicked backwards, flame burning the ground.

"Nice try," the voice said, still outrageously calm.

"What do you think of my new appearance?" he said. "Not bad? You know what it means? I achieved the transformation. But I thought I should come back and let you know I won't work for you anymore."

This voice... this attitude. Yes... it was Azerzdat. One of his most powerful lieutenant that had disapeared centuries ago. Azerzdat, the reknown angel slayer.

Rave stopped in her tracks, looking at the castle. She sighed and shook her head. "Mephisto, I'm beginning to think that you've lost you're touch. Can't you be a man? Or are you hiding from me..." Azari emerged from the castle first, and Qui gritted his teeth as he saw her. Rave placed her hand before him, and took a step forward. Alexiel looked at Seth, then to Jazz whom had taken to her side. The psion brushed her hair back, and looked at her former friend.
"Ravelyn...and...all of you.." she said, noting the people she had with her. "How nice to see you here again. Warms my blood to see you all. Poweful woman I have become...."

"You're blood is ice," Qui snapped at her. "Cold hearted bitch is the more likely a description."

"Ah, Qui." She said with a snicker. "You were never what I was after...just to get close to her...Mephisto had it all figured out. He and I are one."

"One of what?" he retorted, waving her comment aside. "A cute couple? I don't think so...."

"Such anger, give the boy a hand..." Azari said. She looked at Qui, and saw the anger within him. "What are you going to do?" She looked at them all. "Kill me?"

"Azari, so you are a mind reader after all," Rave replied with a smile. Azari was too busy with Qui to notice, that Jazz had slipped behind her. Azari stopped for a moment, As Jazz raised a blade above her head. Azari reached back, gripping her neck, and crushing it. The girl's bones cracked, and her eyes went wide, falling to the sand...dead.

"Jazz," Genesis remarked as she saw her fledgling die. She looked at Azari, her eyes completely white. "AZARI! You have harmed my brother, betrayed my mother, and killed my fledgling. You are mine! Sourceress to Sourceress!

Azari looked at her. "How sweet...a psion against a high sourceress." Genesis stepped in front of Qui, blocking him from Azari. "But first," she continued..."I'd like you to meet some of my friends..."

A man with a devilish look in his eye resembling Daja profusely, stepped out. His eyes glared red. He looked at Ravelyn... "My dear angel, though we have not met before, give my regards to your sire."

"It may be a little late for that," she replied with a wry smile. "I killed him."

"It was bound to come, but I'd like to repay you for what you did...taking him from me."

"Cash or Check?" She laughed.

"Quite a slash of humor when death stares you in the eyes," he said to her. "How about I rip that smile from your face."

"How about I rip your head from your spine," Qui spoke up, looking at him.

"Ah...my grandson..." he said. "I'd be wondering when I'd be meeting you."

"And I thought My grandfather was dead...makes no difference, he will be..."

"Qui," Rave stopped him.

"Don't worry, he's mine...take care of Mephisto." Qui stepped toward Marius.

"I'm not a traitor and you perfectly know it," Azerzdat continued in the same tone. "I achieved the transformation, so technically I'm no longer a demon."

He looked at Kain lying on the ground.

"What I can't help to wonder is why, you, a god, feel like passing your time crushing such insignificant lifeforms. Forgive me if I sound a bit ignorant, but I've been out of the loop for quite some time."

Seni appeared behind Alexiel. Before Seth could react, Seni's hand ripped through her rib cage. Her eyes went wide, she coughed slightly, blood at the corner of her mouth. Her heart was ripped from her body, and lay in Seni's hand. He pierced it with his fangs, and dropped it into Ashs. Seth and Seni immediately drew their blades.

There was one more. Mar, arose from the ground and darkness. Shadows seemed to scatter along the ground. Kenja eyed him, but she wouldn't be able to take him on alone. She looked to Domino. Mar's eyes flashed emerald, and from the ground arose ancients past and gone...elders alike. Twenty...

Marius glanced at him. Maybe he's not useless...... The decreped figures' blades flashing in the lighting. Mar laughed uncontrollably, madness had over taken him.

Mephisto sighed, and lashed out with the whip at the nuisance. "Because he has stood in my way too many times. That's why."

Azerzdat looked again at Kain then at Mephisto.

"I understand, but still. What do you care if you are so powerful? If you are a god, you won, right? Come on! We drank the blood of our enemies together. What makes you so upset? Here I am, back from the oblivion and I find you barking about vengeance and whatnot. What's the f--king deal?"

"You prince of lies, not yet nor never will be a king...the chains have broken from my wrists...and with them I will tie you to the bonds of hell...again...Mephistopheles...I will not let you harm any one of them..."

Genesis looked at Azari. "So," she said melodically. "It comes down to this."

"I will end your life quickly, Gene." she replied.

"Only Witz calls me that..." She lashed out at her, with her creators staff, a blue light striking nothing.
Azari laughs. "Where is he now?"
"I don't wish him to come, to witness me kill you..." With that they began. Azari lifted her staff against Gene. Gene looked at her with white eyes, and drove the staff into her stomach. Azari's skin was tinted blue, her eyes red. The demonic vampire pulled the staff from her, and returned a jolt of electricity. Gene took it, falling back slighlty.


Qui looked at Marius. Neither made any seeming move. Then, a punch, no several. So fast...nothing so fast before. Everything that was thrown was blocked. The two broke out into a full out brawl. "You will not get near her Marius." He flipped over him and brought his knuckles to his back, and Marius faltered.
"I'll enjoy killing you..." he said, and turned toward Qui. HE raised his hand, and Qui was raised into the air. He grasped around his throat, with an unseen assailant. Rave twisted and kicked Marius in the face. The trance was broke and Qui fell to the ground. They exchanged glances, and Rave dealt with the nearest ancient.
Qui's eyes glowed red. "You messed with the wrong mind..."

Domino appeared near where the others were, observing before deciding what to do. She was suprised at how no one seemed to notice Drake at all, but dismissed it as she watched, hidden for the moment in shadows of her own creation.

Drake leaned against the wall at the mansion and looked around when his vision returned. "Hey... where in the hell did everyone go?!" he asked the empty room.

OOC: What is going on? I go eat dinner and all hell breaks loose! No pun, of course.

There are three or four fights going on and I have no clue what anyone is doing other than Jazz is dead, Qui is pissed, Rave is mad, Mephisto is pissed, some former servent of his showed up, Kain is standing around like an idiot(at least until he gets on, lol), Domino is watching the area Qui is in and Drake is back at the mansion trying to figure out what's going on and where everyone is.

Azerzdat staid silent.

If he didn't feel me coming, then he can't read my mind. Good. The transformation has succeeded... that was the best test.

He looked at Kain.

Never had the chance to meet him, he looked up at Mephisto. Not sure I will... unless...

He kept on thinking. Time would tell who would devoure the other's essence.

Mar is basically the necromancer. He is calling upon the dead, and their have been many upon this beach...now we have those to deal with and the necromancer himself.

"All right but where?" Joshua asks

Kenja looks at him, disturbed. "Have you been awake?" She reved the engine to the car and sped off with him. "Mephisto's forces have begun..."

"I have been awake. For the last week I have been in the feild dealing with a uprising," Joshua says pointing at the dark circles under his eyes "And I did feel a strange thing to."

Drake walks out the door and watches them leave. He sighs and decides to skip the cab and lifts off the ground, using his mind. He speeds forward, heading towards where he sensed Domino, the castle he could see in the distance.

Domino steps out of the shadows and looks around for someone or something to kill.

OOC: I'm at a total loss in this fight scene here. Get those zombie dudes out here or Domino is gonna be standing around like a fool while everyone else fights for the survival of the planet...

Mar looks at Domino, and laughs crazily. He had gone insane, but his necromancy improved. He grinned wickedly. "Little girl?" he asked her. "Lost you're way?!?" He snickered.

Domino smiles. "Little girl? I am nearly 1,500 years old you insane twit..." She pulls out her katana and smiles.

She looks at a large group of zombies and her eyes glow. The heat around them soars higher, soon being hot enough to burn and char flesh, clothes and earth. Starting a small hot breeze, she whips it into a small tornado of hot air and flame and plows it into them. "Amazing what you can learn about fire manipulations in Hades."

Kain was flung from Mephisto's grip, much to his relief. So this was it...the end. This is where Rave was meant to die....he saw the combats unferl. It seemed like a sinister play, to which the drama played out in all of it's brilliant ironies and fatalistic ways. The play was written, would the actors play thier parts like puppets upon strings? Kain certainly was determined to cut the strings....

Mephisto sighed, and lashed out with the whip at the nuisance. "Because he has stood in my way too many times. That's why."

A harsh chuckle came from Kain as he slowly got up, using the Brightblade as support. His laughter increased in volume, a mocking laugh. He found it incredibly funny.

"So is this the truth of whom deems himself as God? That lowly vampire, who has been broken and battered so many times by mortal and immortal hands should still cause you trouble? *another laugh* How fitting, that the lowest should prevent the highest from thier goals? Of course, I have had help. Much help from the most unlikely of quarters." Kain said to Mephisto, raising the Demon sword Brightblade.

But something was different. There was questioning within the demon blade.

I shall not fight a servant of the Master. Not like this. Before they attacked you. My freedom is not worth my eternal damnation within the lower parts of hell. You are on your own.

Kain felt the Brightblade feel like water within his hand....it was dissolving! Kain felt as though he was filling with lead. Not molten lead, a cold lead, which ozzed throughout him. He did not consider this! The silver demon blade trailed from him. Kain recovered himself...although he did not like this one bit, everything within him told him flee, yet the only thing which held him fast was his will.

"So this is how it is to be.....So be it, more fitting that I should not lend upon your forces..." Kain said, and raised his cloven hands up and began to chant, his words deep and reverberating throughtout the chaos ofthe room, like a background tune to which all these people played to, with the magic against magic, and blade against blade, each one adding thier own part to this dreadful orchestra.

He was attempting the spell to which he never had accomplished fully. There was a loss of power of not having the Brightblade..yet some kind of liberation behind it, that Kain was not lending strength off another being, and the Brightblade was a powerful being.

First was air....a light blue energy swirling around him as he chanted and did complex movement with his hands. The power of this spirit was strong, a far cry from what he had summoned in the past. Even now, Kain was finding it a struggle without the Brightblade, but Kain knew of what was at stake. He was lost within his magic....

"So uh...... Ok some major sh*t is going down near by," Joshua says as he holds his head slightly.

Kenja looked at him. Up ahead, shadows danced, She saw Ravelyn, slashing through some of those whom stepped near toward her. She knew she was waiting for Mephisto. Qui faced his grandfather, both worthy opponents of each other, and both exchanging blows of both mind and body. Azari glared against Genesis' white eyes. Both possessed creators staffs, both had completed the rank to high sourcress. One was loyal to Mephistop, and one was loyal to Rave. Electricity shattered ice, and the ice froze the electricity. Seth and Seni were in a complete brawl. Mar had arisen the ancients and elders from the lands, and in rising from the ground, attacked Domino. Alexiel had fallen to dust, and Jazz had fallen into oblivion. Two were dead.
Kenja revved the engine, and skidded through the sand to a hault. She jumped out of the car, grabbing her guns, she looked to Joshua urgently.

Drake looks down and blinks. Fire, dead people and vampires all going at it. I'd be insane to go down there.... Looks like fun. He lands behind Mar and pulls out a sawed off Winchester Model 12 shotgun. "How you doin' sir? No... don't answer yet, 'cause you are about to feel a whole lot worse."

Drake flips his sunglasses away and grins, eyes reflecting hatever light was nearby. He chambers a round and fires at Mar's midsection.

Domino gives up with the fire, it didn't seem to slow them down much. She heard the shotgun blast and smiled. Another person couldn't hurt. She sliced through one of the dead that got too close, taking the heads off two more. "Just like in the academy... increase the enemies numbers while decreasing their combat effeciency."

Joshua jumped out of the car and smirked and said "So looks like I forgot the popcorn."

Kain continued chanting, the fray going on all around him. He was still having trouble summoning this energy, it was more than he would usually. Still, this was not normal circumstances.

The airal spirit came to him, it glided down from nowhere, and added it's own high pitched female voice to the chanting. Her form was one of a sprite, her delilcatre form constantly with channels of air flowing around her.

Kain turned to the opposite now...earth. The air was on his left...earth would go on Kain's right. He conitnued to chant, and brown energy flowed throw this cloven hands, as the air spirit added her voice to the tune. Kain was struggling, even now he felt heavy...

Azerzdat smiled slightly.

This Kain sure has some potential.

Qui and Marius were certainly not slowing down. It was as if they were completely equals, and nothing could devide them. Suddenly, Marius' blade slashed at Qui. He dodged, and laughed slightly. Then, looked to his arm. He saw a newly formed cut heal over. He tilted his head at Marius, and began the assault once again.
Gene was out of breath, and Azari had taken her demonic form, her skin tainted blue, and her eyes glowing red. Her staff clicked against Genesis'. Gene tore at her, bringing the staff around to connect with her side, wavering her slightly.

OOC: Hey! What about Mar? Drake just unloaded a round of buckshot at him...

Mar watches as the bullets rip through him. He laughs loudly and uncontrollably. He had seriously gone mad. "You seriously attack me with bullets?"he asked as the wounds began to heal over, his vampiric powers taking over. He removed a double blade from his side. That was the only way to surely kill something here it seemed. Either send it to hell, or chop at it until is stops moving. More were rising from the ground. It was strange, Rave did not seem to be concerned. She stood there...at the front of the castle. The strange thing is, is that none attacked her. She was waiting. Waiting for the puppeter to use his abilities instead of his marionettes.
Kenja ran towards them, her guns withdraw. Rapid fire crossed between her and the risings, round after round. In realizing they didn't have an effect, she took into combat.

Joshua just smirked and withdrew a katana hidden from sight in his coat and dashed into the fray beside Kenja waiting till something attacked him befor he struck.

Drake shrugs. "It was worth a try at least." He pulls a medium sized battleaxe out of the bag across his back and tosses the gun to one of the undead. "Hold that for a sec." he says as he grips the axe and swings at it's head, sending it flying off. "Thanks."

Notwanting to get un an axe vs sword fight, which usually went bad for the axe wielder in his experience, Drake grabs a warhammer out of the bag also and plunges into the undead, hacking away, enjoying himself throughly.

Domino uses Drake's distraction to her advantage, slicing down on Mar where the neck met the shoulder. Not a killing blow but it had to be really painful. "Never take your eyes off your enemy." She drives the eight inch Karn'da blade into his arm. "It's bad for your health."

Mar tilted his head at Domino, the blade within his arm. Deep red blood oozed from the cut, falling thickly down his arm. He laughed wildly...he really was crazy. He grabbed the blade within his hand, twisting it from his arm, causing more damage than effect. He smiled at Domino, and held his hand toward her. She could feel a harsh constriction within her, as if something was gripping her from the inside. "You've died before Domino...rule number ONE, the dead never take on a necromancer."

Domino pulls the blades out of him and takes a step back. She smiles and resists the unseen grip, successful, to a point. She looks at him and laughs. Not maniacly like him, but in true amusment. "I was a servent of Anubis you fool. Don't you think during my service I met more than my fair share of necromancers? I was dead at the time." She closes her eyes and smiles, still fully aware of where he was and his movements. "Tell me... how would you like to find out what happened to them?"

Drake continues slashing through the dead, but is overwealmed and dissappears under them. Seconds later he reappears flying up into the air, kicking ing at one hanging on his leg. He only carries the battleaxe. "Okay. Now I'm pissed. I really liked that warhammer." He kicks the creatuer away and watches it land with a squish.

"You are very very very nieve little girl," he said with more than twisted smile. His eyes shot up in an emerald glare. Small flecks of amber could be seen within them. He tightened his hand, bringing the feeling inside of her to a tighter point. "Would you like to find out where this road takes you?" He rose his hands as a double sword was gripped in his right, his staff in his left. The dead kept arising. It had been Daja that had drained this beach dry of his inhabitants, and not one had been touched by Rave. But the many numbers left Mar at a field day. He smirked at Drake. "He's trying so hard, yet not hitting the right one. Pity. He's smart."

"She is not a little girl." A voice behind Mar said.

The Nomad stood a few feet away. "Her path is her own. She needs no guidence from the insane." He raised the staff, blue gem glowing bright. "You however..."

Domino stood still. Her voice was strained slightly. "You didn't answer me. How would you like to find out what happened to them?"

Drake is meanwhile floating in the air, motionless. Simply looking down at the dead below him.

"I already know," he said in no more than a whisper. He leaped into the air, towards her, minding Drake a safe distance aways. He brought his staff around in protection of himself, and slashed the sword toward her neck viciously. His movements were unpredictable, and his demeanor that of a mad person.
His emerald eyes engulfed the small girl that lay before him, and he tightened his grip.

Domino doges slightly, blocking with her arm. The blade digs deep and leave the flesh flapping, but drawing little blood. She grabs his arm and tries to flip him, but the grip inside her is too tight.

The Nomad chuckles and the stone in the staff starts to create a swirling vortex, pulling at his soul. "Come Mar. See firsthand what it was like for them. In Hades you would be able to have powers beyond imagination... Powers Mephisto would never let you have." The last part was a lie, Anubis made sure that only a choice few ever got those powers, but Mar wouldn't know that.

Drake finally moves, but not in a way one would expect. He drops down over a small pond. "Come and get me you smelly bastards!" When enough are below him, reaching and slashing at him... he begins to freeze the pond and anything in it.

Kain conitnued to chant, the brown energies tkaing form now, into a earthen element, large and hulking. It added it's deep vocals to the song to which they sung, a melody which was strange in it's words and tune.

He pointed in front of his, and chanted again the begining of the song, he was summoning up the fire spirit, burning energy Kain did weave, his body and mind struggling to cope with these vast energies.

Kain was flung from Mephisto's grip, much to his relief. So this was it...the end. This is where Rave was meant to die....he saw the combats unferl. It seemed like a sinister play, to which the drama played out in all of it's brilliant ironies and fatalistic ways. The play was written, would the actors play thier parts like puppets upon strings? Kain certainly was determined to cut the strings....

Mephisto sighed, and lashed out with the whip at the nuisance. "Because he has stood in my way too many times. That's why."

A harsh chuckle came from Kain as he slowly got up, using the Brightblade as support. His laughter increased in volume, a mocking laugh. He found it incredibly funny.

"So is this the truth of whom deems himself as God? That lowly vampire, who has been broken and battered so many times by mortal and immortal hands should still cause you trouble? *another laugh* How fitting, that the lowest should prevent the highest from thier goals? Of course, I have had help. Much help from the most unlikely of quarters." Kain said to Mephisto, raising the Demon sword Brightblade.

But something was different. There was questioning within the demon blade.

I shall not fight a servant of the Master. Not like this. Before they attacked you. My freedom is not worth my eternal damnation within the lower parts of hell. You are on your own.

Kain felt the Brightblade feel like water within his hand....it was dissolving! Kain felt as though he was filling with lead. Not molten lead, a cold lead, which ozzed throughout him. He did not consider this! The silver demon blade trailed from him. Kain recovered himself...although he did not like this one bit, everything within him told him flee, yet the only thing which held him fast was his will.

"So this is how it is to be.....So be it, more fitting that I should not lend upon your forces..." Kain said, and raised his cloven hands up and began to chant, his words deep and reverberating throughtout the chaos ofthe room, like a background tune to which all these people played to, with the magic against magic, and blade against blade, each one adding thier own part to this dreadful orchestra.

He was attempting the spell to which he never had accomplished fully. There was a loss of power of not having the Brightblade..yet some kind of liberation behind it, that Kain was not lending strength off another being, and the Brightblade was a powerful being.

First was air....a light blue energy swirling around him as he chanted and did complex movement with his hands. The power of this spirit was strong, a far cry from what he had summoned in the past. Even now, Kain was finding it a struggle without the Brightblade, but Kain knew of what was at stake. He was lost within his magic....

Mephisto, not taking his eyes off his enemy, carefully slashes the whip at Kain.

Mar laughs. "Mephisto has been very kind to me...I beleive it's you whom should go to hell.." He tightened the grip upon Domino, smiling at the chaos it was created within her. All of a sudden the grip fails, and Mar slowely turns around. Kenja is holding the handle of a sword...now lodged in his back.

The whip flew through the air, a harsh lighting crack was heard as it crashed into Kain. It hit him directly in the stomach, doubling him over. Kain continued to chant, trying desperately to recover the spell. The fire energy to which was flowing began to spiral out of control, Kain franticly tried to recollect the energy.

The fire began to spiral like a vortex, Kain thought he had lost it. But he rgot up and began to mkae arcane movements once again. His head pounded, he felt the burn upon his stomach, the whip mark easily seen by all, still smoldering. Kain's flesh glew a light blue in defence against the magic woven around the weapon.

But Kain's natural spell immunity was weak in comparison, the whip left it's smoldering mark. Kain continued to chant, weaving the fire around himself, casting this part of the spell again. He could not take another blow like that, else the spell spiral totally out of control, and Kain did not know what might happen then.

Azerzdat was still in a corner of the room.

He's not gonna make it, he thought. His only chance is to fly away. What the Hell does he think he can do?

He looked around. Not that many exits. Of course, this wouldn't be a problem for himself... but he had never tried to bring someone with him. Not since the transformation.

Oh well...

He moved his arms, making his bones crack.

OOC: How can you have Mar turn around and have Kenja still hold the sword in his back? Did they just spin in a big circle?

IC: The Nomad looks at Kenja. "Thank you." The swirling continues and the pull on Mar's soul grows strong. "You don't understand... I can't go to hell. I have no soul. I was built to collect them. A grim reaper, of sorts."

The Nomad takes a step closer and the stone glows brighter. "You however will be going there.... after a little stop over in Hades of a few millennia."

Domino looks at her arm and frowns. It hurt, but no where near the pain it would have been had she been alive. She grabs the wrist Mar held the double blade in and wrenched it, trying to pull the blade away with her other hand.

Domino looked at Kenja. If you could hold him there Kenja, The Nomad's job would be easier. Don't worry about your soul though... you aren't one destined for Hades. The staff will refuse to take your soul. a voice in her head said.

Drake decided to have a litte fun and drops a gernade in with the now frozen dead, climbing away and watching the explosion. He lands near Joshua. "Yo Tin Man! Stop standing around! Or are the joints of your armor rusted?" Drake says wth a grin while buring his axe in one of the dead's skull.

"Hey idiot I'm not wearing any armor," Joshua says as he leaps into the air and lands beside Kenja with his sword in hand and asks "Need a hand?" He then stabs his sword towards a unlucky soul.

OOC: Oh. The ONE time I assume he's in armor and he isn't. :lol:

IC: Drake shrugs. "Trick of the light... I guess." He climbs up into a dead tree and looks out over the area. No trick of the light could produce what his eyes told him. He could see them rising in the darkness. There looked to be no end. "I'm gonna need a bigger axe..."

OOC:He stoped wearing armor only a little while ago and stopedd relying on technology.

Mar looks straight into Domino's eyes. "Oh little girl, you have made a grave error." He lets go of the double blade, and unsheathes a medium length dagger from his side. He just his arm backwards. A cry is heard throughout the area, though muffled by the other sounds of battle. Mar chuckles as Kenja stumbles backward, the dagger within her chest. Her sword is unlodged from her back and drops to the ground. She runs he hand along the place of penetration, blood staining her hand. She coughed slightly, blood on the corner of her lip. She fell to her knees.
"You see," he said to Domino, marvelling at her attempt. "You'll never know when death will strike..."

Joshua stood there in shock fallowed by a fit of fury. "YOU MOTHER F**KING BASTARD!!!" he screams out in rage as he dashed towards Mar sword blade high in the air preparing for a death strike. When Joshua was only 10 steps away he jumped into the air and began to swing his katana forward.

Domino smiled. "I know that perfectly well, considering I had the blade on my belt shoved through me twice..." She grabs Mar and holds him, making him an easy target for Joshua.

The Nomad doesn't move, the vortex from the staff ready to pull in the Necromancer's soul at the moment of death.

Drake looks up at the cry. Seeing what happened, he shakes his head. "Children should not weild swords." He leaps down into the battle again, smashing heads and dismembering arms of any that got to close.

Mephisto began to lumber towards Kain, eyes glinting dangerously.

Finsternis Kräfte kommt, zu meiner Hilfe. Zerstören Sie dieses Tier! Entsetzliche Flamme! Black power began to gather in one of Mephisto's immense hands. The mighty beast snarled, and prepared to unleash a final attack.

"No...I cannot allow this. I will not!" Kain mind bellowed warning. Desperately he tried to finish this part of the spell. He felt the dark energies gathering....it would destroy him! Making a descison, Kain simply attacked now with the formed energy, it was this or die within the magic he had summoned.

With air, earth and flame, they sang together as Kain finished the spell, a fragment of power of what it should be. He wove the spirits around himself, the trails of coloured energy swirling into new colours. With this new weapon in hand, he outstreached both hands in attack and sent the elements towards Mephisto. Kain knew with all of his being that this attack would harm him if he was not concentrating...but he was. He had his own spells ready, but Kain had no other choice.

The flood of fire, wind and earth was sent rushing towards Mephisto, it spiraled towards him. Mephisot could tell that if the spell had been completed, with air, earth, fire, water, light and dark then he would have been hard pressed. But this spell was not complete, it could be dissiceted and dispeled, his own titantic spell would crush the spell in only a few seconds at best.

Such efforts from Kain took all of his will to summon, he knew that death was so close....

Mephisto stumbled back, but the fire only fueled him. Fool! I AM FIRE!

He prepared to destroy the pitiful vampire, and unleashed his powerful blast against Kain.

The black wave flooded towards Kain own blast, the dark energy crashing into the multicoloured blast. Kain poured more energy into the attack, as did Mephisto, but there was an obvious winner in the contest of will and magic.

Kain's blast struggled, slowly being consumed by the infinate darkness. Suddenly, Kain's own magic was crushed as Mephisto attacked again, forcing the dark column into him. Kain struggled with all of his being and soul to channel more arcane energies into the breaking defence.

"No! This cannot end now! Not...not like this! I shall not allow it!" Kain shouted in defiance, closing his eyes concentrating more energy into his defence. But it was not enough.

The evil energies where close to Kain, Kain's viens and muscles bulging from the absolute strain. He felt light headed and as though the entire world was being the attack. Darkness surrounded him as Kain continued to keep it just at bay. Mephisto smirked and attacked once more to finish Kain.

The dark energies swept into Kain, his flesh flashing a brilliant blue in the natural property against magic. But like an overcharged fuse, the blue short circuited it seemed under the absolute sheer force of the magical attack.

Kain was sent flying, the dark energy holding his strong for long seconds. Indescribable pain, his world began this undying terror and pain. He closed his eyes and knew nothing but this agonising pain, it's touch like acid to him. He flew back, seconds seeming like centuries to Kain, the dark matter burning him with their constant hate.

Kain was sent into the wall at the back of the room, with a thud. Kain slid down and collapsed, the memory of the pain strong in his mind. He did not know who he was, where he was. He lied on the floor, his Cloak ebbing a dark purple, snapping in and out of colour. Little movement came from Kain, he simply tried to curl up a little in the shock of the attack.

Mar could do little but resist as Domino constrained him, and Joshua attacked. The blade severd through bone and flesh entirely, as Mar looked at Joshua, and pushed the blade futher within himself. "I'll take her with me..." He chuckled to himself, then fell to his knees, collasping in a pile of dust. Kenja looked at Joshua, not able to speak. The dagger was still within her...if it were to be pulled out...
Qui looked over to the cry. "Kenja!" He yelled. The distraction cost him dearly. Marius' 'sword was brought to his side. He did not scream, but placed his bare hands upon it and twisted it out. His double blade, as Mar had possessed, was in his right hand, and another mirrored his left. Both ancients were not as near tired as Seth and Seni.
Seni looked to Kenja, watching her fall. "No one will have her," he exclaimed, still fighting the onslaught of Seth. He flipped behind him, and snapped his neck. Seni turned to dust.
The angel stood, waiting. A whisper excaped from her. "Kenja..."
The ancients still stood, waiting for an easy victem. The haunting laugh of Mar was carried throughout the area. Alexiel, Jazz, Seni, and Mar were dead...and Kenja?

Arms suddenly appeared out of the hole Kain had made into the wall.

This guy has some stamina, I give him that... unless he's just plain crazy.

Azerzdat grabbed Kain. Since Mephisto had taken his time to gather enough energy, he had been able to get out of the room and he had used one of his numerous new abilities to guess what would happen.

The blast was obvious. I've been lucky with the wall though.

He had punched into it while Mephisto was threatening Kain. When Kain had hit the wall, it was already weak enough.

With Kain within his arms, Azerzdat took off.

"Time to fly," he muttered to himself.

Kain was totally confused, he felt the sudden movement. He was already completely dazed and still in shock from the attack, so he gave no resistance.

He felt an immense sense of vertigo, of displacement and movement. He kept his eyes closed, his body limp. He moaned a little from pain.

The Nomad's staff pulled at Mar's soul with a force it would be vey hard pressed to resist. After a minute, the stone stopped glowing an the Nomad lowered the staff.(OOC: Whether he got Mar's soul or not.)

Domino looked at the pile of dust and muttered an old curse at it. She looks at Kenja. "Nomad. Can you doanything to help her?"

The Nomad looked at Domino. "I do not know." He, or it, knealed down over Kenja. "There is a lot of damage. I can do little to help but stop her from bleeding internally... for now. I was never trained to save lives." The Nomad presses a hand to her stomach, the hand cold even through bothe of their clothing, and begins to concentrate a small amount of energy, focusing it to stop the bleeding that would kill her even if the dagger was never removed. It wouldn't last long though.

Kenja looked toward the nomad, then to Qui. He was busy with Marius...whom was giving him quite a hard time.
The two went at it at an unebelievable speed, exchanging tiredless blows. Blood streamed down Qui's forhead as the swords clashed against each other. "Stop," a melodic voice said. Both looked at eachother, pushing away. Their eyes met the deep crimsons of an ancient angelic vampire. Marius stepped toward Ravelyn, a smile upon his face.
"So your son just couldn't hit me," he said with a laugh. Ravelyn returned a hard glare.
"Oh, he did hit you a few times." She smiled lightly. "I didn't miss that." She twisted towards him. With a sharp flick of her arms, blades emerged from the shackles around her wrists. "You have a shitty taste in fledglings Marius."
"And my fledgling has an even worse taste," he said with a laugh.
"Are you kidding me? I was too much for him." she said, challenging him. "He said you were a great sire, strong...able to defeat anyone. Yet you can't kill my son...you want to take me on. Then go ahead. Give me your best shot."
"As you wish...you condemn yourself to the same fate as your son." He dropped his blades, and unsheathed two more from his belt. Ravelyn swung her blade horizontally, connecting with his. He attempted to drive it into her stomach, but she side stepped, avoiding it. She twisted it out of his hand with her left hand by the blade instead of the handle. She would risk the pain to get it from him, and she succeeded. She leapt into the air, spreading her wings. It was a beautiful sight as she swooped down towards him, driving him back. He smiled as he defended himself. He pushed her back, and she landed, with a smile. "You haven't touched me..." he chuckled, noting her smile.
"I never meant to," she said, and her gaze turned to her son, whom had dropped to the ground. A white mist swirled around him, feeding into his soul. His right eye was completely white, and the left iris a crimson red. At that second, Marius looked back. Qui lunged at him, a deep growl filling the air as he forced his head to the side, and ripped his fangs into the ancient's flesh, his nature animalistic. "You see my son, he's less lenient then myself. He has an undying thirst for blood. He has refined tastes, but an ancient should do quite well actually..."
"You bitch," he whispered, stuggling under Qui's eternal grasp. Ravelyn stepped toward him, her son now bringing him to the ground.
"Devil of an angel really," she said, quoting Corithisia.

Well, this outfit sure seems to be handy. I'll buy one if... after we got out of here. What others are you talking about? I just happened to pass by because I had to tell Mephisto about my new... condition. Just happened to recognize you from the files. And seeing how you were about to die, I just thought it would be nice if... you weren't to die alone.

I have no clue what's going on here. I used to work for Mephisto. Perhaps you heard my name before: Azerzdat, the famous angel slayer, he sent with a cynically proud feeling. That was the past. I got captured, managed to escape thanks to a now dead guy and I transformed myself. No longer a demon. No longer under Mephisto's orders. This bastard didn't even try to find me anyway. Seems like his head has grown slightly since last time I met him.

He turned around a little tower.

If you told me what's going on, maybe I could understand why you tried to kill yourself. Really. Fighting Mephisto face to face. Anybody with a reasonable IQ would know the only option is to run away.

Drake looks up from 'killing' the dead and sees Qui lunge. "Damn.... Th-Hey!" He doesn't finish whatever witty thing was on the tip of his tounge, as another lunged at him, taking him down hard. This one was bigger than the rest. A lot stronger too. He was pinned and couldn't move his arms.

Domino looked at Kenja and the Nomad, then slicing at one of the dead that stupidly approached.

The Nomad continued to focus the energy, slowly draining off what it didn't need stopping the bleeding inside her. I have done all I can. I can maintain this for a short while, but it will begin to wear off. If you are not healed by then... I may not be able to stop the bleeding again. spoke a voice in Kenja's head softly.

Kenja looked at him. "It's alright...maybe...it wwas just time, you know?" She said softly. She looked to Joshua, her crystal like eyes gleaming from tears of pain. "Joshua..."
Qui dropped Marius from his arms, the anceint turning to dust. blood stained his lips and trickled down his chin. He licked his lips, yet the stain of blood remained. He looked to Rave with a a twisted smile. "Sorry about the delay, I was trying to catch my breakfast." She laughed slightly, recalling the familiar phrase.
Genesis still struggled with Azari, both sourceresses using their abilities to their full extent, demon against vampire. Gene twisted as the staff hit her in the side. She was taking quite a thrashing. "Hit me once more Azari," She said, the two staffs clicking against eachother.
"My pleasure," the staff hit her in her leg. At that moment, the ground trembled slightly, and the two stopped. Gene's eyes were completely white. Azari looked up to her, fangs stained with her blood. In a sudden shock, Ice rused on the ground towards Azari. Lighting shot down from the sky, and shattered it, but it kept coming. It got to her feet, freezing them in place. It faded in thickness to her stomach. Her legs were lock. She unleashed her wrath upon her.

Joshua looked at the blood on his hands and the blood on his blade. He was shaking slightly at what he had just done. Slowly he stood up and droped his sword and walked over to Kenja and held her in his arms. "Why not me?" he said quietly under his breath as a single tear rolled down his battle hardened face mingling with the blood from the splater when his sword hit the ground. "Why not me....." he said again as he held her closer and kissed her hopfuly not for the last time.

The Nomad shakes it's head. "I do not know. I have never been alive..."

The answer came back flatly. No. To take her would trap her in Hades for millennia. The staff I carry would not let me anyway.

Drake, meanwhile, still struggled with the one on top of him when it opened it rather large mouth, full of sharp teeth. Oh sh*t...

ooc: whoa! In that last post Phalanix, I noticed a change. Your writing improved even in that lil' small space. Good job... *smiles* Just thought I'd let you know. And it's snowing outside...which also makes me smile. :-)

Kenja faded for a minute, but as he kissed her, she returned it with passion. She placed her slender hand upon his face weakly, her silvery eyes reflecting the what light fell from the darkened sky. The waves crashed up along the shore in dark tumalts...The cold breeze blew upon all, the dead faltering in number...but as the numbers dwindled, the ones left were stronger... "Joshua...I...I..." she coughed, not able to finish what she was saying.

Joshua's green eyes seemed to bleed with tears of pain, of fear, and from what he had done just moments befor. For once in all of his long life, of the hundreds killed at his hands he felt that he had just done something far worse than anything in his lifetime. He reached out his hand and touched her face and said "I know what you are trying to say. I love you to. With out you I would have never become something like this keeping my rage under control." He whiped away some of the tears in her eyes and thought about what has been taken from him.

Joshua... her physical voice was weak, but her mental was as soft as it had ever been. You have done more for me than you could ever know. It won't be the last time...that...we... Her voice faded, and her eyes closed. Her body became limp withing his arms.
A sharp pain rushed through Qui's mind. "Arg!" with a soft whisper, he could only form a few words. "Kenja...no... no..."
