"Sir, we have bad news. There has been an increase in Dire Wolf population." The Captain shifted from foot to foot worriedly.
"So? Send some men to deal with it." The general said, leaning back into his bubble bath.
"And the Prince said he wants increased tourism in the region."
"Wait. I see how we can make this pan out..."
A transmission is sent to the most celebrated hunters in the world.
<Honored ones, news of your exploits has spread. Thus, we would like to inform you of the fact that open season has begun in Mt. Wolf National Park. For your convenience, a set of bounties have been put in place.

Dire Wolves
Roania's native groundbased predator, the Dire Wolves are some of the deadliest creatures on Earth. They hunt in packs of ten or more, can destroy a tank, and require heavy weaponary to kill.
Fire Bird: We kill you on the spot.

Roanian ThunderBird
Unlike their cousins, the thunderbird is not a nice bird. Keen to prey on everything that catches their fancy, they are the masters of Mt. Wolf.
Very little research has been undertaken. Mainly because the scientists keep getting eaten.
Wendigo: NS$750 for a corpse, NS$1700 for a live one

Roanian Wendigo
AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!
That actually sums up everything that could be said about the nigh on invincible Roanian Wendigo. Believed to be extinct after the Roanians spent 50 years hunting down and destroying every single one they could find.
On the off chance that there are any left, avoid like an angry orc that's been handed a club with a nail in it.

Roy Black, a well known hunter native to Cyberutopia, looked over the piece of paper that had arrived from Roania.
"Huh." He scoffed. "That sure isn't a lot to get paid. Oh, well, I haven't had some fun in a while, anyway."
He slipped on a black trenchcoat that contrasted sharply with his crimson hair and the flecks of gold in his pitch black irises that all of the Black family had, and walked out of the humble cottage in which he resided, slinging a small flamethrower over his shoulder and placing two compact launcher pistols into holsters under his trenchcoat. Roy jumped onto his motorcycle and roared off towards the nearest city, a cloud of dust hanging in the air behind him.

"Sir! Someone's coming!"
"Good. Maybe we should raise the bounty, do you think?"
"No, sir. I'm pretty sure anyone dumb enough/brave enough to go after a Dire Wolf would be more for prestige then the cash."
"Good. By the way, what's this I hear about Wendigoes?"
"Just a rumor. You know how peasants are."
David, looked around as he arrived at the airport, of Ronia. He usually did not hunt animles from the forest, he search for the ones in the city, demons. He picked up his bags, and headed for the hunting site. His thick black curlish hair, hid some of his face, and his brown eyes. Many did not know his secreat, it was an odd one for a demon hunter.

Duke Kern, a famed Teritoran Hunter known for hunting dangerious beasts such dragons, wild wyverns, hell bears and rumered to have killed a yeti, reading about the bounty chuckled. "Should be amusing. I'll do it."
Duke Kern
Age: 45
Armament:A Hunting spear, a broadsword, a heavy Teritoran Crossbow, an usually powerful crossbow made to pack enough punch stun a full grown wyvern.
Armor:Wears a suit of Plate armor, visered helmet.
A bus drove to the front of the airport. "Hunters? Please board here." A young and attractive woman said from the Driver's seat.
David steps on the bus, and sits right behind the woman.

He waves to a selection of heavy equipment, rpgs, shotguns, chainswords, etc. "Please take your pick if you do not feel safe with your current choice."

'Cruel, cruel people! Can't you see that these creatures, horrible and "evil" as they may seem, have every right to exist as we do? In fact, me and my followers will go on a hunger strike, lasting for as many days as the number of wolves and other creatures that you have killed. We feel it is our duty to...'
Suddenly, a Dire Wolf runs up, tackles the man, and eats him whole. The other protesters run in fear.
And that is why you have to know when the cause is just, and when it isn't. We as humans are guaranteed a right to survive too."

OOC: Ouch... That must have been very painful. Especially since that's only one Dire Wolf out of ten.
David shows the soldier his weapons. Then returns to his seat, qucikly. He looks up at the woman who was driving the bus, then back to his rifle, and sword.
"Very good, sir." The soldier turns to the others. The Roanian and Dwarven hunters all display their own. "Excellent. Now, how are you all for insurance?"

"Of course I'm confident with my weapons. They don't call me 'El Fuego Que Rabia' for nothing, after all." He said, more to himself than anyone else.
Duke Kern shows his weapons to the Roanian soldier.

A direwolf lunges out of the bushes and brings one of the protestors down. The rest all scatter into the bushland. "Oh, these will too."
"What are you all going to do? Just watch them take out our own kind." He has not changed from the slouched position from where he leaned on his rifle. He thought to him self, "I hate both my sides......"
"You want us to shoot them, sir?" A Roanian asked. He opened fire with his standard issue rifle. The Dire Wolves turned and lunged for the bus, bullets bouncing off of them. "Ah, shit."
"You should know, that that wouldnt of worked." He sat up from his position, and he puts a granade in his M-203. He fires it at the wolves.

"I wonder if anyone else here was at the Luporum Wolf Crisis." He wondered outloud.
Two wolves die. The rest reach the bus and begin to knaw through the metal. The Roanians open heavy fire, slashing at anything that gets through.
David pulls out a flash-bang granade, and throws it out the window at the wolves. He yells at the woman driving the bus, "Drive as fast as you can!!!"

The bus hits top speed. "Damn it... we have to get to the outpost!"

OOC-I hope nobody has a problem with the chopper thing. They find it easier to get to areas hard to reach more quickly.
IC-The gray Little Bird flew over the treetops, with Dominic and Mike as pilot and copilot, as the other 4 marines watched the scene through thermal scopes on their weapons.
"Hey, Dom, I got something, slow the damn thing down, will ya?"
PFC Clay Davis adjusted the scope on the SL-8SS flipped into Semi-Auto, and put his sights on the Dire Wolf. The Little Bird hovered, almost still, as the SL8SS barked a single shot.
"Damn, he ain't going down. Going for the head."
The rifle spat 2 rounds now, as the wolf went down.
"Oy, Clay, this ain't a Cover Fire excersize, wait till yer on the ground, will ya?"
"Jeezus, quit your whining, Twombly."
Twombly slapped a mag into his CAR-1576 as the Little Bird set down. and the 4 men got off the "Benches" mounted over the landing gear.
Dominic stuck his head out the window.
"Ok, I've got your GPS transmitters on. Radio in every 15 minutes, we'll be back when you call us."
The Little Bird rose up, as the 4 marines-come-hunters raise their weapons to their shoulders. Their camo and equipment laden vests and boonie hats made them look like more of an invading force than a bunch of hunters.
Rick Nelson went prone, and grabbed the McMillan 88R.
"God, a fifty BMG on a f*cking wolf?"
Nelson smiled.
"Bet ya I can take out him and the one behind him."
The .50 BMG was designed to kill LAVs, so Clay decided not to take him up on that one.
Three thunderbirds dove towards the foolish machine which had dared to enter their territory. Bright bolts of electricity flew from them.

OOC: Impressive. Problem is, you have to get close to a DW to kill it... and while you are doing that, you're being attacked by the others.

What is going for him is his hunting armor and since Teritorans hunt dragons, wyverns and hell bears, you know thats some tough armor.
Duke Kern chuckled. "This spear is not a boar spear, its made for Hell Bear hunting, think something bigger than one of those wolves and a lot meaner on its own, no I will be using my sword and crossbow mainly." He pointed to the crossbow he used to kill several wolves even without the poison and the really vivious looking broadsword at his side.
OOC: Hmm... now, should a Wendigo or Lake Dweller approach, then you'd be in shit.
IC: The dwarf coughed. "Can ye knae understand plain enlish? Ah knae it's a spear! Tha's what ah said!"

"Are you? How fascinating." The serpent pointed to the south. I wouldn't head south if I was you. There are strange creatures abroad, stirring up the wolves."

Fugore prepared his tradtional hunting weapons as he waited for the portal to be opened.
As soon as he arrived home he was told about the hunters gathering in Roania. He could not give up the chance to hunt such challenging creatures.
Fugore was one of the most competent Spartens in Storm Giant for his breed. He was an excellent hunter and warrior and a competent spell caster. Although he prefered to do things the warrior way.
He packed his crystal broad sword along with an asortment of smaller daggers and blades. A crossbow was slung over his shoulder. He packed an asortment of other modified weapons and assorted items he would find useful..
Many thought these weapons would not be enough to stop the beasts of Roania, but Fugore knew they were as lethal as any gun in the right hands.
Once fully equipped, Fugore made his way toward the alter, just as the portal exploded open.
Fugore looked back once, then passed through the portal. Within seconds he landed on the ground within the capital city of Roania.
"I would have survived, it if I did get injected with posion." David says, "Poisen doesnt affect my kind."

The Inquisitors felt a magical shockwave occur in Roan.
"I really shouldn't be telling you this, because it could ruin my cararee as a Demon hunter, but, I'm Half-Demon. That's probably how I survived it."

David's demon side once again takes contoll. A large fire ball appresse in his hand.

"I gathered that. well theres people like that and it could be a worse creature. I was in this one land that they concidered dragons sacred animals. Unpleasant place to live much less visit and no dwarves. Well we better get moving before something else tries to stop us."

The birds suddenly turn and fly off, as fast as they had appeared.
"Is Man not part of nature?" Roy retorted.

"And if you and all those other hairless monkeys would go back to living in caves..."
"I gathered that. well theres people like that and it could be a worse creature. I was in this one land that they concidered dragons sacred animals. Unpleasant place to live much less visit and no dwarves."
"Would ye live in a land where you" He paused. "Shh..."

David sits down on a rock, and takes deep breaths trying to calm him self. He eyes go back to their normal color, and he returns to normal. "What was that all about?" He asks him self.
Duke Kern quieted quickly, glanced around, and readed a weapon.
A sound much like the beating of leathery wings, and the hopping of a kangaroo filled the air.
David sits down on a rock, and takes deep breaths trying to calm him self. He eyes go back to their normal color, and he returns to normal. "What was that all about?" He asks him self.
"We've been trying to figure that our for ages, David." Joan stepped out from behind a tree, hands up. "Sorry. I was worried about you."

Or tries to. No matter how far he walks, the mountain remains the same distance away.
After a few minutes Fugore noticed he wasn't getting anywhere.
I see.
He summoned his magical training, allowing him to see the weavings of the spell.
OOC: Is there anything special about the barrier or can a basic trained mage get through it?
OOC: No, not really. Should be easy to deal with.
"Joan," David said surpised, as he stood up, and walks over to her, "You shouldn't be here, you could get hurt, you don't even have a weapon."
Joan smiled. "I have you... and I have a horde of angry soldiers who'd rip to pieces anything that attacks me."

Fugore focused for a few minutes, recalling his training back in the forests of his homeland. He opened his eyes to see the weaving of the barrier spell.
After close examination, he began to unwind the magiks. Thread by thread he undid the barrier until there was a gap wide enough for him to pass through. He figured someone must have put it there for a reason, so he would leave the rest of the spell alone.
Fugore passed through the barrier and headed towards the mountain.
A powerful energy emanated from high up in the mountain. Fugore could see the distant outline of a dark tower.

Fugore studied the tower for a few moments before continuing on his path.
He did not intend to get sidetracked from his hunting.
Fugore notched a bolt and began looking for signs of prey.
The sundering of a portion of the shield caused massive energy rebounds to occur throughout the reserve. Many creatures began to move towards Fugore...

Fugore could easily pick up the approaching creatures with his hightened feline senses. He pulled out his sword and lay in next to him whilst he awaited to unleash his first bolt.
His elongated fangs sat over his bottom lip in anticipation.
He didn't have to wait long. A Wendigo bounced through the wilderness, bearing down on him.
OOC: Can you get on MSN? We need to speak, RE: Christoniac.

Fugore dropped his crossbow and grabbed his sword just in time to impale the wendigo through the chest.
It took several minutes for the creature to die, in which Fugore had to avoid the razor sharp teeth and claws of the creature skewered on his sword.
OOC: Ouch. What is that sword made of?
Joan smiled. "I have you... and I have a horde of angry soldiers who'd rip to pieces anything that attacks me."David smiled at her coment, "But they can't protects you from every thing, they need the equpiment, I can defend you, and I have it."

"I didn't come here to discuss things that cannot be. Why did you choose the raven to symbolize yourself? If anything, it is an outcast of nature." Roy said, sensing that this thing posed a serious threat.

Joan smiled. "Well, David..." She reached behind her and pulled out an RA-87, "You can protect me, and I'll protect you."
Duke Kern whispered at the sound. "What in the name of the saints is that?"
"Ach, tis a Wendigo!" He listened closely. "Nae, more than one! We must run!"
"I didn't come here to discuss things that cannot be. Why did you choose the raven to symbolize yourself? If anything, it is an outcast of nature." Roy said, sensing that this thing posed a serious threat.
"Because you humans have made nature into an outcast itself! With your buildings and motors and engines. Disgusting!"

OOC: It's made of the hardest material found in Storm Giant. Callousite. It is a crystal like material fused with carbon and other metals.
This particular sword is also enchanted. And it's really sharp.
OOC: Ah. I must say, I've always gone for the neck severing, but if it's really sharp, it might work.
IC: The Wendigo collapsed. With its last gasp of strength, it bought its whip tail around towards Fugore.
"A wolf hunt, is it? It's a long time since I've been hunting- this could be fun."
Veskyr set aside the paper and buckled his sword belt over his hooded, gray robe, and put on gloves. Then, gesturing with one hand, he opened a Portal and stepped into the Roanian Capital.
OOC:
(Veskyr looks basically human... except for slit-pupiled eyes that glow slightly (purple), a lack of visible ears, purple and black scales, and teeth resembling diamonds. This is why he wears a hooded robe most of the time. He also has retractable claws.)
OOC: Why does everyone go to my capital? The hunt is to the far north of my capital!

Duke Kern nodded. "If we can yes, these things are poisonious so it will be rather like fighting a wyvern only you have a little longer to live before dying if poisoned and its most likely extremely strong."
"Nice gun, Joan." David says, smiling at her. "Now, mabye we should go and start to hunt again."
OOC: Veskyr doesn't know exactly where the hunt is. Remember, you provided transportation for the earlier hunters. (If you said where the preserve is in the first message and I forgot, sorrry). He can travel very quickly, so he went to the Capitol to get directions.
IC: Veskyr strode swiftly through the streets, looking for an official who could tell him where to go for the hunt.
Duke Kern nodded. "If we can yes, these things are poisonious so it will be rather like fighting a wyvern only you have a little longer to live before dying if poisoned and its most likely extremely strong."
"Argh, don't be tellin me ma business. Just run like Hell!"
Veskyr strode swiftly through the streets, looking for an official who could tell him where to go for the hunt.
A rather pompous Burgher walked out of a tavern. He shouted over his shoulder, "It will be a cold day in Hell before I go in your tavern again!"
"Nice gun, Joan." David says, smiling at her. "Now, mabye we should go and start to hunt again."
"Thanks, David." She said, batting eyelashes at him. They turn and begin to head towards their destination.

Duke Kern spoke. "Two amulets of protection agaist poison... a holy hand gerenade... a blessed sword... several potions of healing, a cross, some wooden stakes, and several bottles of holy water. Well we can avoid being posioned anyway."
"Ah, best be using them,then!"

Duke Kern put on a amulet of protection agaist poison and handed the other one to Krendall.
The dwarf put it around his neck. "Ach... here they come!"
The Wendigoes barged into the clearing. 5 of them, they barely noticed the human and dwarf, instead running on. On their frighteningly human faces, an expression of terror could be seen.
When they were all gone, Krendall looked around. "Uh, oh. I can nae ken wha they would act in such a manner, your dukeyness."

Fugore attempted to dodge the tail of the Wendigo but was not quick enough. The tail grazed his left arm causing a dark trickle of blood to flow down his wounded arm.
OOC: Anything special about this tail I should know about?
OOC: It's poisonous, for a start.
IC: After that final action, the wendigo fell down dead.

Fugore heaved the huge beast off his self. He quickly looked at the wound and cursed. Immediately he applied potions and salves that he had brought with him and cast a few basic healing spells.
Fugore could only hope it was enough to stop the poision. Looking down at the slain beast, he cast a levitation spell. The lifeless body ascended into the air and stopped at about Fugore's waist. He then proceeded to attatch a rope around the head of the creature.
Fugore's head began to swim a little. He decided to make his way to wherever he could collect a bounty. And recieve medical attention.
David checks his weapon, then lokc back up at Joan, "It's jammed, and I need more ammunition".

"You there! I recieved notice that there's a dire wolf hunt going on. Can you tell me where that is?"

His confused wanderings began to tire him, as the fast acting poison began to take effect. While it was no longer spreading, it was still in his system. He collapsed.
His last concious vision was of a cloaked figure appearing over him, tsking softly. "This will never do."
OOC: If this is wrong, then I'll change it.
David checks his weapon, then lokc back up at Joan, "It's jammed, and I need more ammunition".
"I don't think we use those weapons, sorry David."
Duke Kern spoke. "Something scared them badly, very badly."
"Aye, that'd be right. And whatever it is, it be most likely to the south."
OOC:Why do dwarves speak in a Scottish accent?
'He looks like he might have the information I need; he certainly seems to think he's important.' thought Veskyr.
"You there! I recieved notice that there's a dire wolf hunt going on. Can you tell me where that is?"
The merchant shook himself, and struck a pose. "I, Darryl Waters, know of all that happens in these isles! A hunter, are you? Well, in that case you'd be wanting transport and weapons to the preserve up north."
"Damn, well untill then, I can just use the granades, and my demon powers, if I need it."
"Damn, well untill then, I can just use the granades, and my demon powers, if I need it."
"I could lend you my weapon, if you want."
"No, I need special expoliding ammo, and way, and I want you to have some defence besides me"
"No, I need special expoliding ammo, and way, and I want you to have some defence besides me"
Joan rubbed his hair. "You're sweet. Okay."
David slightly surpised at Joans, show of affection smiles, and blushes, at her, "Thanks." He says as he turns back, and keeps walking.
