Angelus is a Machine State with near-perfect manufacturing and production facilities. We have existed for MUCH longer than you, and since resources are not needed for a vast array of organic needs, an inorganic society could easily redirect those resources into production and maintenance of several vast Armadas.

I have spent months detailing Angelic production, and researching more and more advanced tech allowing for faster production.

"Mercy is a wonderful thing, First Prime," Lauminiel replied, "for if he was simply executed, he would not have the chance to learn from his... misjudgement, and serve better in future." She approached the Jaffa, now addressing him directly, in an... extremely cold voice. "Of course... repeating the mistake makes it no longer a mistake. Remember that."

She passed the weapon back to Her'ak.

Deep in the fortress of Menelmacari Strategic Defense Command, under the great mountain Taniquetil overlooking the Eternal City of Vinyatirion... a test was under way. A very important test...

"So how is this going to work again?" Commander Idhrindiel of the Imperial Menelmacari Mornahossë asked again, for what seemed like the fifth time.

"You dial the list of symbols I gave you, into that computer there," Lord Celebrimbor (Siri's grandson, and Prefect of Science) replied. According to the records you need to stay well back of the gate as it activates... but with that sequence it will form a wormhole to an identical gate on a desert planet called Abydos. You'll find yourself in a chamber inside a pyramid. Like the ones in Egypt."

"Very well," Idhrindiel replied. "Then what?"

"Then you dial back home, you reactivate the stargate, and you come back. Simple. That's all we're doing today. The test with the probe worked, so..."

"So you need a squad of guinea pigs, right?" Idhrindiel asked skeptically.

Celebrimbor blushed. "Well... sorta, yeah. It's not like some forms of teleportation where you're literally torn apart atom by atom and reassembled at your destination. It's a wormhole. An artificial 'wrinkle' in spacetime. You're whole for the entire trip."

"Okay..." She gestured to her squad, who had their weapons at the ready, just in case they 'interrupted' something with their arrival. Good ol' Murphy had the habit of striking whenever he was least wanted. She went to the computer, and entered a sequence of seven symbols, which apparently corresponded to various stellar formations in the galaxy from which one could extrapolate any particular star system that had another Stargate. After this, she locked in the sequence and activated the gate.

The chevrons glowed in sequence as the inner ring of the gate rotated back and forth to line them up with the chosen glyphs... there was a blue flash, and a cloud burst forth from the gate only to be sucked back in again... leaving a tranquil vertical plane that shimmered and rippled like water under a breeze.

The Mornahossë stepped up... Idhrindiel leading them. She reached out with the barrel of her weapon and poked the wormhole with it... pulled it back again and found the rifle none the worse for wear. "Well," she said with a shrug. "Nothing ventured, nothing gained..." She stepped through, followed by the others, and was gone.

Somewhere under Mt. Cyan (yes, thats Cyan, not Cheyenne), part of the Dendarii Mountain Range in Wazzu, a control officer witnessed a flash of energy on his moniter. Always recording, he pressed a button to provide triple backup and yelled aloud. "Priority!"

It didn't take long for a defense officer to arrive, but it was obvious the tech had worked hard in those few seconds...his mouth was hanging open.

"Well?"

"Sir, take a look at this!" the tech exclaimed and turned the moniter so the DO could see, "I've never seen math like this!"

5D tensor mathematic scrolled across the screen...with what appeared to be a rendering of a verticle circular pool of water in the top-right corner of the screen.

The DO was stunned too, but not quite as much. "Where...Where does Omninet say it is coming from?"

"Menelmacar, sir."

What are they doing now? the DO asked himself as he ran off to make a call.

Those goa'uld are all bark and no bite. It's obvious why they don't want to attack.

The Mornahossë stepped out into the chamber... five of the very best Menelmacar had to offer, sent immeasurable distances to a new world, Abydos.

The chamber was, relatively speaking, quite simple... there was a DHD in front of the gate, the walls, pillars, and floor were simply limestone, and there was assorted statues and ornamentation.

The wormhole had hardly even closed when symbols started lighting up on the gate.

"Hide!" Idhrindiel ordered. "Someone's coming through..."

Her four subordinates took up positions behind the back-side of the gate, and activated the active-camo systems of their suits, fading invisibly into the background. Idhrindiel herself took up a position backed into one of the front corners of the room, facing the gate; her helmet's holocam recorded the view as symbols continued to light up - seven of them. The address for whatever world the new visitors were coming from, likely. Almost like call display, she thought. Though I should probably kill myself now for using yet another comm-related analogy for these gates' systems.

Invisible, silent, the Mornahossë awaited the new arrivals. With luck they would simply leave the chamber and go wherever they were going, and the soldiers would be able to gate home again after they had gone.

"Hmph, what a disgusting planet, not worthy of the Gods...." He said with the arrogant tone of The Goa'uld. "You five!" He pointed to a group of Jaffa nearest to him. "Stay with me here in the Pyramid, I find sand to be very.....uncomfortable....the rest of you, head to the village, you know your orders."

The Jaffa bowed and contnued their march, Tzeentech began wandering around the pyramid, while his Jaffa guards took positions around the Stargate.

Jaffa! Idhrindiel thought. And some guy with... two life signs... he must be a Goa'uld host. But not Sokar, according to the SGC records... damn... that would have been fortuitous. It was fortunate Mornahossë training included the honing of telepathic abilities. It was an important skill, especially in situations such as this, where they might be caught in a room with the enemy, unable to move or communicate by normal means for fear of discovery.

My warriors, we find ourselves in an interesting situation. Do we wait? Options, please.

This is probably true, Idhrindiel conceded. All right. First we take out these Jaffa - everyone pick a target, please - then we hunt the Goa'uld in this pyramid. Then we will go to the village and stop the other Jaffa. On my mark...

The soldiers slowly, carefully, raised their plasma rifles, each targeting the nearest Jaffa. The cloak system was such that very slow movements would go unseen, but move quickly and there would be a heat-wave effect as the system tried to keep up with the movements, and they could be discovered by an attentive foe. At high enough speeds against a busy background - like running through a forest, for example - the image would be almost clearly visible and rather easily tracked.

The Jaffa did not even have a chance to respond as plasma penetrated their flesh, one of the manage to release a scream of agony before he died himself.

Tzeentech upon hearing this activated the sheild on his hand device. He rushed back to the gate room only to see his bodyguards laying on the floor lifeless. Then he noticed the Mornahossë...

"You dare defy a god?! Tau...an elf!" He said noticing the pointed ears.

Uh, goa'uld, we have hypermatter technology, so don't mess with us. Also, Letila has a very advanced knowledge of parasitology. I suggest you take on easier hosts.

OOC: Yes I know, the goverment and the people of Aelosia are unaware of your actions, but Ashtartis (the old scholar), is a psychic and a sorcerer, so he has ways of knowing that some elves travelled between dimensions, looking for the Goau'ld. Anyway he despises the current Aelosian goverment and he's an hermit, so he's not telling noone what's happening. He's a bit crazy too.

OOC: They're wearing armor, actually... think a modernized, fully-enclosed version of the Elven armor from Two Towers. So I don't know if you'd see the ears... the design is well-known as Menelmacari, though, and you'd see they have the tall, slender Elven physique. Aaaanyway, I'll run with it.

She pulled a monoblade dagger from her belt and hurled it at Tzeentech, going for the thoracic cavity, where the symbiote rested.

OOC: The shield's strength is proportional to the energy directed against it. Bullets and most energy weapons would bounce off or be absorbed, but a weapon with less kinetic force behind it - such as, say, a throwing knife - would be able to pass through.

Tzeentech lifted has hand and barely intercepted the knife. He screamed in pain as the knife penetrated his left hand. The hand device short circuited and without the hand device, he had no shield.

Realizing he was defensless, he painfully pulled the knife out of his boodied hand and got on both knees.

"Please, I beg you, have mercy on me!"

Idhrindiel smiled... her soldiers covered Tzeentech with their rifles as she stood imperiously before him... Who's the god now? she asked herself with a soft chuckle.

"I will consider sparing you. But you will have to make it worth my while."

"ENOUGH!" Idhrindiel called out, yet she still had her cloak up. "You Jaffa, move out of the village, now. If not, you will all be eliminated."

"Not just yet," the Elven soldier said to Tzeentech. "Take him away."

Tzeentech was blindfolded and searched; his hand device and any other items of technology were removed. He was then shown to a cell - or more accurately, bodily hauled there by two burly (well, by Elven standards) Mornahossë. With one motion the blindfold was pulled off and he was cast into the cell; there was a forcefield over the entrance.

The cell itself was not unsanitary, but it had no luxuries, either, simply a toilet in the back corner and a thinly-padded bunk. The cell was in a circular room with a guard post in the center and cells all around on two levels, the door led off in one direction, presumably to a corridor, but it was closed and so nothing could be seen in that direction. The lights were almost harshly bright, and the cell was about ten feet by twelve.

A guard was in the post; he had his armored feet up on the control panel and seemed like he was engrossed in the datapad he was reading, but he was vigilant, and kept a close watch on his prisoner.

The Jaffa halted their questioning and looked to where the shout came from, only to see a female figure, they all laughed in unison at this sight. Finally after a minute of non-stop laughter, one of the Jaffa spoke.

"What's this, a female speaking against us? It's seems we have missed one, my brothers. You should have stayed in your hiding place woman, for now, I shall make an example of you!"

He took aim at Idhrindiel, and fired, discharging a single burst of energy.

"I demand more suitable quarters!" said Tzeentech while pounding on the cell doors. "I am a God! Obey me damn it! You will all suffer a thousand deaths, each one worse than the previous! Are you listening to me!?"

"Listening?" the guard asked, looking up as the Goa'uld pounded his fist against the unyielding field of energy. "Not really. Pipe down, Sparky, you're most distracting." The guard glanced back to his datapad.

Idhrindiel simply laughed, but the laugh was cut short by the need to dive aside as the Jaffa fired. At the same moment, though, her concealed subordinates opened fire with their own weapons, each at different Jaffa. The lead one, who had spoken, was targeted by Dialagos the sniper.

The Jaffa found himself with a hole on his head, three more Jaffa met similar ends. Over half of the remaining Jaffa panicked, and began dashing out of the village, dropping their staff weapons on the way.

The other half stayed, determined to fight. Each grabbed a villager by the neck, and firmly placed them in front of themselves. From behind their human shields, they fired their staff weapons wildly at random directions, destroying several huts and tents in the process. "Come out and fight...if you dare..." said one of the Jaffa.

Tzeentech finally gave up after several more minutes of shouting. He sat down on the bunk , dreaming what he would do to these ingrates if the position was reversed.

This thread sure needs a lot of bumps lately.

The names were in the language Kûtêl@uûknêtimû, which had several living relatives, including N!hó, Q|áso, and Tùpar@iùtnètimò. The Tu'lîmû persisted for thousands of years in the rainforests of Letila and no parasite would stop them now. They were so great, a few even started to too full of themselves and started a Tu'lîmû supremicy movement.
