"Because of your constant and long service..." Richelieu's voice droned on and on. Kigari sat uncomfortably in the chair. She had no idea what was going on. "you have been transferred to the diplomatic corps."
"Really? Why?"
"Because you have shown that you know how to deal with the waterlivers. You are being sent to a very important embassy to take over the ambassador's post."
"So long as it's not Tiburon, I'm happy." Kigari said, crossly. She did not say 'But I like being an Inquisitor!'. It wouldn't have worked.
"Oh... but you got on so well with Mr. Starfighter last year, and the Prince has insisted that we try to get on with them."
"Hmph." That was all Kigari could say. "He's not the man his father was."
"Alexander has it in him to be a fine Prince, and I won't hear you speak against him. Now, your space-plane leaves in 2 hours. Your clothes are packed, and the embassy has been informed."
OOC: So does she love us or hate us? :?
IC: President Starfighter idly looked out the window of the Presidential Residence, daydreaming, as was common to him now.
"Hm... Miss Kigari... I wonder what she's doing now."

A new assistant came in.
"Mr. Starfighter? We have news on who the new Roanian ambassador is going to be... it's that Kigari person..."

OOC: She likes Nova, loathes Kiro ((I think the feeling is mutual... in both cases)) and hasn't met any other Tiburonese.

"Damn that blasted Duke Darquis and his policy of economy." Kigari muttered as the plane touched down in Tiburon. She stretched. "I wonder what Nova is doing?"
OOC: Nope, Nova's first and best friend is Kiro, and even if the others die, which I'm not keen on happening, he'll still stick with Kiro... plus, they're brothers...

IC: (about greeting the new ambassador to Tiburon) "Hey, Nova, mind if I do this one for a change?"

Kigari sits down. "I wonder who is coming to meet me?" I wonder if it's Nova.

Kiro, driving down to the Victoria International Airport, did have a few questions going through his mind, such as:
Why didn't Nova want me to do this?
Who is this new ambassador?
And, most importantly, are there still burritos in the fridge?

Kigari smiles as she looks around the airport. "Very nice place. I wonder if the entire nation works this way? I've seen hardly any soldiers or police."
OOC: Yup, burritos. :lol: And yes, it is like that.
IC: A Tiburonese limousine slowed down and stopped at the bottom of the steps. The door opened, and Kiro Starfighetr stepped out.

"Kiro. How... nice to see you again." Kigari stepped forward.

IC: Kiro, who still hadn't looked up, picked up Kigari's luggage, and smiled warmly. "You dropped these..." He then caught a look at who it was. "... Kigari?" Damn it! Wasn't she the one that wanted to kill me??? "Hi. We meet again." (still smiling, although now tense) "Welcome to Tiburon."
OOC: Thank you.
IC: "How nice to see you again. I hear you've been spreading rumors about me." Kigari said, slowly.
OOC: I'm leaving for half an hour... watching Kenshin... ^_^
IC: Kiro drew a blank. "I have? Who told you this?"
Kigari stepped forward, pushing her finger into his chest. "That you think that I support slavery, am a religious fanatic, and violent."
Kiro looked down, then back up. However, this time, he looked at her with a mixture of anger and sorrow. "I never believed that you supported slavery. Not for a minute. Nor did I think that you are violent. However... you believe in the principles of your nation. And your nation... does not even allow for other religions! Perhaps you have never met people who have seen this. But... (closed his eyes in suffering) I have."
"Hmph." Kigari glared at him for a minute. Then... "Ha! Sounds kind of stupid. Besides, I'm here for the long term. We should at least get along."
Kiro (uneasily): "All right, then. I... *sigh* Then let's go."
Kigari stepped into the car. I think I'll have a talk with Nova about this. She looked outside. "So... *cough* nice country, this."
Kiro stepped into the driver's seat. (happily) "You think so? Thank you."
"It's peaceful, certainly. And quiet. In Roania, since Edward Black died, we've all been arguing with eachother and trying to hold the country together long enough for Alexander to be crowned."
"It's also quite beautiful... The Earth was very kind to us all, for giving us such a planet."
"How is your brother?" Kigari asked.
"My brother? He's doing quite well... wait, you know my brother? How?"

"Well, we met at a reception in Roania."
"Really? Cool. You know all of us, then!" He said the last sentence with a little laugh.
"Yes..." Nova, I wonder whether he remembers me... if his brother doesn't know... A tear sprang to her eyes.

The trip to Crystal City was relatively short. Kiro got off, and opened the door for Kigari. "Miss Kigari? The Presidential Res..." He stopped short. "Are you okay?"
OOC: Hey, I'm doped up on antihistamines. Let me be irrational, if you please.
IC: Kigari shook her head. "Hmm? Oh... yeah. Something in my eye."
OOC: O... kay...

IC: "Um... okay... *sigh* in any case, the Presidential Palace."

Two Tiburonese soldiers marched outside and snapped to attention. (OOC: Meet our version of the Secret Service. The entire Secret Service.) The first one spoke. "Miss Kigari? The new ambassador from Roania? If you don't mind, I'll take those credentials for spectrophotonometric testing."
Kigari handed the soldier the credentials, and the two marched back in.
Kiro: "Oh, yeah, that reminds me. I have to give you the guided tour of this place..."
Kigari bit her tongue to keep from laughing. "Thanks, but I really ought to see Nova. That's how things are meant to be done."
OOC: Roanians are sticklers for protocol. It could take a while to get her to accept another path.

IC: Kiro: *sigh* "All right then. Nova's in there... somewhere. So long, Miss Kigari. *salute*" Kiro went back into the car and drove away.
Kigari gave a sharp Roanian salute and entered the palace. "Hmm... where could Nova be?" She asked as she looked up and around.
The Presidential Palace, far from being a rushed place, was i fact an almost tranquil scene. A few people were seen working diligently, and the closest one was a familiar woman with green hair.
"Pardon me, Miss. I'm looking for Nova?" Kigari asked.

IC: "Nova? He should be upstairs in the presidential office... I didn't quite catch your name. You are?"
"Oh? I am Kigari. I'm the new Roanian ambassador."
"Really? Well, welcome to Tiburon, Kigari. My name is Siyari."
"Pleased to meet you, Siyari." Kigari tried to avoid staring at the woman's hair. "Um, I'm sorry, but can you please lead me to meet him?"
OOC: Lol. Tiburonese can be born with blue, green, pink, or white hair at birth, and have purple eyes...
IC: "All right, then. Follow me." Siyari and Kigari both walked up the stairs, and, as they walked to the office, there was a curious green light that seemed to highlight a hidden passage that caught Kigari's eye.

As she got farther and farther down the hallway, the green light started to flash randomly. What in the world is going on?
"Ms. Siyari... what is wrong with your wall? Are you storing uranium in this palace?" Kigari asked, but before the woman answered, she shook her head. "Never mind. Just get me to Nova."
OOC: Good thing. That was a top secret hall.
IC: "Um, yes, he's right across the hall." Siyari pointed right outside the hall to where a twin door was placed.
Kigari bows thanks and enters the room. "Nova?"
Nova, who was staring out the window into the sky, turned around when he heard his name. "Kigari? Is it really you?"
"Last I checked." Kigari smiled happily.
:lol: *sigh* "It's felt like forever since we last met, hasn't it?"
Kigari walks forward and kissed him... then almost slapped him, stopping herself at the last moment. "So, you don't tell your brother much, do you?" She asked, hoping it was a safe question.
Nova looked confused. "Hm? Yes I do, why?"
Kigari stopped. "So... I wasn't worth telling your brother about?"
Nova was even more confused. "I... told him. Why? What happened?"
"My brother? He's doing quite well... wait, you know my brother? How?"

Nova (muttering to himself): "Heh. He probably didn't hear a word I said... probably just wanted to end it so he could get back to playing his game. Ah, well, it's not my loss when she beats him to a pulp..."
Kigari kissed him. "Well, why don't you call him in here, and I'll tell him."
"Heh. Maybe later. Right now... right now I think we should just enjoy this time together."
"Suits me, Nova." Kigari walked backwards and closed the door.
"What's been going on with you? We've never been able to speak to each other after that day..."
"Richelieu decided I was a liability and removed me from the HRI. The Prince transferred me to the Diplomatic Corps and sent me here. That's about it." Kigari sighed and sat down.
OOC: I just realized, Kigari doesn't realize that Nova's not Christian yet...
"So how is Richelieu doing? Is he still some old tired guy working to kill off everyone who isn't his religion?"
Kigari turns and stares at Nova. A choking noise comes from her.
Nova looked worried. "Are you okay?"
Kigari waves him off. "Rich...!" She starts to laugh, collapsing against him and holding him for support.
"HA! That was a good one. For a moment, I thought you were serious!"
Kigari stopped and backed away. "Ah..."
OOC: Not very subtle, is he?
OOC: Sorry, g2g, like, now. C ya! ^_^
OOC: C'ya! And get some sleep, will you?

IC: "Is... is something the matter?"
Kigari opened and closed her mouth repeatedly. "You aren't a Christian, are you." It wasn't a question, just a statement.
OOC: Amazingly enough, in RL I'm not a Christian.
Nova responded in a very less happy manner. "No. I'm not. Is that a problem?"
OOC: Nor am I. ^_^
Kigari stuttered. Her mouth opened and closed several times. "um... err... I..." She couldn't look him in the eye. "I just kinda figured that the first man I ever loved would be the same religion as me..." Kigari shook her head. "I suppose..." She tried to say the words, fighting against years of indoctrination. "I suppose it doesn't."
Nova: (bitterly, sadly, and a little angrily) "I hope not. I sincerely don't."
Kigari smiled, suddenly. "I said..." she shook her head. "Did I just say..." She giggled. "What am I saying? Of course it doesn't matter! And Richelieu is a tired old, power-hungry man."
She threw her arms around Nova and giggled again. "Do you have any idea how good that feels?" She laughed. "Of course, Richelieu would consider what you said about him a compliment, but..." She kissed him.
Nova returned the kiss. "Hey! I've gotta show you around this place! Come on!" Befor Kigari could say something, Nova took her and ran to a random part of the building.
"Nova... where are we going?"
(lightly) "To introduce you to everyone else." They stopped at a room at the far end, and the doors opened, allowing them to enter what appeared to be a monitor room... except now, the monitors in one section (which also happened to be the only ones turned on) were being used to play various video games.
OOC: You got some sleep, right?
Kigari stared, perplexed. "Um... why are they... playing? Don't they have a country to manage or something?"
OOC: Nope, that's why I'm leaving now... I go to sleep at, like, one AM and get up at 10 to 11 AM on the weekends...
IC: "The last war was 11 years ago, so there's not much to do on that end... plus, we don't have that many issues to solve, surprisingly. So, we figured, we might as well do stuff like play DDR the rest of the time..."
OOC: Good night.
IC: "And... they are all so young!"
"Is... is that something wrong?"
Kigari opens her mouth, and then closes it again. "No, I guess not. So, who are they?"
"Well... let's see. *points to two people playing DDR* You already know Kiro, and the guy next to him is Heero Yuy, the head of the United Republics of Tiburon Organization. Then *points to four people playing another game* that's Duo Maxwell, the Defense Secretary, that's Quatre Raberba Winner, the Secretary of the Interior, that's Trowa Barton, the Secretary of the Treasury, and there's Wufei Chang, the Secretary of Justice."
"And Naomi and Sakura dragged Hirokiri and Zechs along to do some shopping... plus you've met Siyari, too... and that should be about everyone..."
Kigari nods and smiles. I feel very worried, oddly. What happens if these people decide that war is a video-game?
OOC: Don't need to worry about that... they're the Gundam pilots, remember?
Kigari blushed slightly as she felt all eyes upon her. "Um... hello. I'm Inquisi... Ambassador Kigari of the Principality of Roania." She smiled at them all, her smile becoming slightly fixed and predatory when she looked at Kiro. Bowing slightly, she darted behind Nova.
Hirokiri: "Welcome, Miss Kigari... Is something the matter?"
Kigari coughed. "Absolutely not. I'm... fine. Really."
Kiro (muttering): Damn, she really does hate me...
Nova: "Hey, Kigari, we gotta see the rest of this place..."
"Okay, Nova." She bowed slightly to them all, and then followed Nova out of the room.
Duo: "See ya..."
Nova and Kigari exited the room, and Nova wheeled around to face Kigari. "Well, there's really only one more room worth mentioning and that's the office, which is really boring, so... wanna go?"
"Where-ever you want to go, Nova." She said, looking into his eyes.,
Nova smiled. "I'd like to be anywhere, really. I'm glad that I'm still somewhere ."
"So, we're just going to stand here, then?" Kigari moved forward and embraced him. "Did I mention I missed you?"
Nova moved closer and kissed her. "I missed you as well..."
"I love you, Nova." Kigari buried her face in his chest. Slight, muffled sobs came from her.
"I love you too." Nova brought her back, and gently wiped the tears from her eyes. Similing a bit sadly, he added, "Please don't cry. It doesn't suit you... you should be much more carefree."
"I just realised why I was sent here..." She said softly. "You made the government very upset back in Roania. They sent me here because I was talking to you. I wouldn't be surprised if I won't be allowed back."
OOC: Got to go.

(darkly) "I wouldn't be surprised if Roania and Tiburon aren't so supportive of each other for much longer."
"I'm sorry, Nova?" Kigari asked, holding him as if her life depended on it.

"Okay." Kigari laughed suddenly. "You need to show me around Tiburon!"
Nova laughed along with her. "All of Tiburon? Okay..."
Then, dialing Kiro on the mobile holocom device, "Hey, Kiro? Can you do me a favor and load up an Ayanis RGM-80X-03? Kigari and I are gonna do a little sightseeing..."
"YAY!" Kigari said, sweetly. "I've always wanted to see another country, at least, see another country as a tourist."
Nova smiled at her innocent response. She's so calm and pure... why did she have to meet me? I'll cause her nothing but hardship... just like... I've caused... everyone...
"So, what are we waiting for? Let's go!"

Nova and Kigari went over to the Aegis 1 Civilian Base, and climbed inside the Ayanis, speeding off into the blue skies over Tiburon City. Tiburon City's buildings seemed to stretch out into infinity...
"Your skyline is nice. But it's not as beautiful as Roan City's."
"I beg to differ... this is the most beautiful city in the world... " I'm still glad that everyone still thinks of their own things as the best...

Kigari smiled. "Nova, lighten up! It's just the two of us, in complete privacy." She sat on one of his knees. "Maybe if I loosen your shirt..."
IC: Nova smiled wryly. "I know..."
And then took off the shirt.
Kigari grinned. "That's better..." She looked at him. "Much better."
"Yes... it is..." (still a little red) "It's quite hot... maybe we should go to the coast... its waters are quite cool this time of the year..."
Kigari coughed. "Um..." How do I get away from saltwater without being insulting? "I'd... if there's a lake in the mountains, that might be nicer."
"Okay... why not? We can go there..."
"Certainly... more private..." Kigari said, running her fingers along his chest. She blinked and frowned. "Why am I wearing this if it isn't buttoned?" She said, removing her blouse completely.

Kigari leaned up and locked her lips with his. Then she felt around behind her and began to open her bra clasp. "I don't know when I've ever been happier..."

Kigari sighed, and said no more on the subject. "Tell me, Nova..." She said, "Are there any towns up here?"
"Not that many... but there are a few. There's one about two miles from where we're headed..."
"Okay." Kigari snuggled contentedly into the space between his arm and body.

Kigari looked at the city. "Why is it called The Shining City? Can we go there?"
"It's not really that different from any other city... except it's positioned so that in the mornings, the sunlight bounces off the ocean water onto the windows of the city, and that is reflected for all of Tiburon to see... It's said you can even see its brightness from outer space..."
"I'd like to see that. Roanian cities, as you've seen, are so... dull and functional..." She kissed him, and started to walk back to the carrier.
Nova followed her. "You'd be able to see it tomorrow... for now, we should continue this tour, ne?"

"Works for me." Kigari giggled. "I think this really might be the first time I was out of Roania without being on official business."

He smiled. "We'd better get going..." He picked up Kigari, and carrying her, leapt into the Aegis.
Kigari kissed him. "So, where next, Blue?" She asked, running a hand through his hair.
"Well.. there are quite a few places... there's the Emerald Coasts, and the Spaceway, but that's only interesting at night..."
"Well, why don't we go there, and see what there is to see? We can be there at night, and we can return to here in the morning." Kigari smiled. "But the Emerald Coast sounds romantic."

"Really? Well, there's many pools that are right next to the ocean... that actually came in handy for once, ne?" (smiling) "Normally, they're just redundant, being placed right next to the seaside."
Kigari giggled. "Well, shall we go?" She sat back on her customary flying seat, ((Nova)) and wrapped her arms around him.

IC: Nova laughed. "Of course! That is, if you really want to."

IC: "I do." Kigari kissed him.

IC: Nova kissed her back. "All right then, let's go!" Nova powered the engines, and sped off.

Kigari laughed as the scenery sped past. She reached up and kissed him. "To tell the truth, Nova... I don't know when I have had so much fun." She smiled. "I just don't know if it's the company, or the scenery."

Kigari smiled at that, but then rested her head against him and sighed. "I wouldn't say that..." her eyes closed and she gently went to sleep.
Nova kissed her forehead and placed her down gently in a ready-made bed. He smiled warmly, then turned back and went to the cockpit.

"Ai." He then felt something in his pocket. "Oh, yeah... Hey , Kigari, I forgot to give you this... is the key to your room in the Ambassador Lodge back in Tiburon City."
"Thanks..." She rubbed the sleep from her eyes and took the key. "Shall we go?"

Kigari got up, and leapt out of the carrier. She looked in amazement at the city.

IC: Kigari grinned. "A theme park? Do they give discounts if I go in with their country's leader?" She asked, jokingly. "And look at all these people... this is more busy than Roan, and over 12 million people live there!"

"Then let's go one one!" Kigari ruffled up his hair and kissed him. She stared around. "That one looks nice." She pointed at a large coaster.

IC: Kigari started to smile, emptily. Her mind a whirl of thoughts. They all seem so happy... they're perfectly normal... I can't believe it... how does it work? She started to cry silently. Is everything I believe a lie?

OOC: Kigari Waters
Her past is unknown. There is a slight hint that earlier in life, she was harmed by someone she trusted, and she generally fears the anger of men, or being touched by them without initiating it herself. A friend of Simon Darquis, she was made ambassador to Tiburon after she got a little too close to the Tiburonese president, Nova Starfighter. The odds are that she was exiled, and that her ambassadorial post will last for the term of her natural life.
Of late, she has begun to question her status, her purpose, and her assigned role. The government really hates it when people do that. Her character just grew from the first time I used her.
IC: Kigari just sniffed and sat there, content, for now, in his presence.
