Rebecca nodded, as she walked into the reception. "I'd like that. I don't usually take to people real quick, being kind of shy and all." She smiled. "But there's something about you, I really like."
She walked over to the lift, and pushed the call button. "Perhaps we could meet for lunch or something, unless you meet someone more interested before then." The doors opened and she stepping inside.
Pushing the relevant floor indicators, Rebecca turns to David. "I think I'll sleep for a week. I don't know about you."

David had to blush at that one. "I know what you mean, 'bout being shy and all," he replied. "Either that or anti-social. I'm not sure which." He laughed a bit as the lift arrived. Blushing a little more as they stepped aboard, he added, "And I'd have to say I've really enjoyed spending time with you as well. It's been a good day."
"Yeah, lunch tomorrow sounds good," he nodded as the lift accelerated. "If I wake up in time, that is - I feel I could sleep until the weekend, and classes just started."
As the doors opened on his floor, David stepped out, using his body to keep them from closing. "So, lunch tomorrow, right?" he confirmed, tossing his hair back one last time.

Rebecca smiled, and nodded her head. "Yes, lunchtime tomorrow, at the reception door. We'll go from there." She waved as the doors closed behind him, rushing her on to her own floor.
Stepping out of the lift, she slowly walked down the poster strewn corridor to her room. Opening the door, she stepped in heading straight for her bed. She collapsed onto it, staring at the ceiling. Today had been a good day, now she just had to survive the next class.

He was feeling jubulent, estatic, happy, lighthearted as he turned to his room - the men's section being quite underdecorated, as ususal - and walked in. "Hello, Dek," he smiled, even forgetting to be rotten to him. David lay down on his bed, looking up at the roof.

Rebecca returned to her room and waved to Marisa. She dumped her things on the bed, and plopped down beside them. She lay down on the bed, and slowly began to drift into sleep, shaking herself awake, she grabbed her wash things, and hit the shower.
Fifteen minutes later, she remerged and headed straight for her bed. It has been a long day, with the travelling, the first couple of classes, and the very pleasant time she'd spent with David. She was delighted she had met such a nice person, on the first day. She went to sleep, happy.

David's alarm went off about three quarters of an hour before the next day's pre-calc. He rolled over slapping the 'sleep' button down. He had almost drifted back off to sleep before his eyes snapped open, a sudden thought entering his head. It wasn't so much he cared about not missing that idiot's "class", but Rebecca would probably be there. Slowly, he swung his legs over the edge of the bed, lurching towards the door. David was not a morning person.
At last, he managed to get himself showered and ready, and headed off the first class, noting with pleasure that he was only a couple minutes late.

Running a combe through her hair, she pulled it into a ponytail, so that it would be out of her eyes during class. Her heart sank, at the thought. She still had nightmares about the first one. Groaning, she gathered up her things and headed out the door, but not before grabbing two bars of chocolate for her and David.

She gave an apology to Link for her tardiness, mumbling some excuse about the time, and took a seat. As she walked past, she smiled at David and mouth, "Don't forget lunch."

Rebecca waited for David to look at her, she had noticed him casting glances but to stop him feeling uneasy, she pretended not to have noticed. When he looked, she smiled and glanced at Link, then raising her eyes to heaven, she sighed. A small laugh escaping from her lips.
She looked at the teacher seated at the front of the class, and raising her hands briefly before speaking, she addressed him. "Mr Link, are we learning anything today other than what trajectory and speed you are using to ensure your pencils remain in the ceiling? It's just that I covered that last year."

Rebecca looks that the pencil in the ceiling over her head for several minutes, the expression on her face shows that she is giving the thing some thought. She furrows her brow her a moment and bites her lower lip. She finally brings her focus back to Link. She again briefly raises her arm.
"To be honest, Mr Link. There is little possibility of the pencil hitting me, as it's position is slightly off. I think it's safe to say that the answer is never." She leans back in her seat. "Which is probably good for you, otherwise I could probably sue you if it did, as you intentially threw the pencil there with the sole purpose of hitting me." She shrugged then smiled sweetly. Returning to her books, she laughed softly to herself, as she continued to read.

"Hey, Rebecca," he whispered, slipping as discreetly as possible into the empty seat next to her, "I don't think we're going to learn anything today. Care to go into town again?" He brushed at his arm in mild annoyance as a couple nerves twitched for some reason.

Rebecca smiled, as David moved to the seat near her, it was nice having a sane person sharing her space. She cast a glance around the class and spotted the other person who had thrown the pencil, shattering the other. She sighed and shook her head, before turning her attention fully to David.
"Sure, town sounds great." She looked at Link, wondering how he ever became a teacher. There must have been a shortage in the quota on that day. "I'm sure we'll learn more from the back of a crisp packet than we'll ever learn here. We'll go once this lesson - and I use the term very lightly - finishes." "Oh, I don't know. I think we learned plenty from this class. If only the catalog had properly described it as a class about how to deal with lunatics, I wouldn't have come in here expecting to learn about math!" He laughed and reached over to brush a chip of wood off her shoulder.
