*She rose to shake the man's hand, taking note of his armband. Part of her hoped he hadn't heard about her denying the Nazi congegation earlier this year... her mood was finaly back to being upbeat, she really didn't want to argue about it if possible... but sometimes it was unnavoidable*

This is my head assistant Nia Starr, my Defence Minister Alex Wazzat, Kallistian Millitary head General Noir, "David" 23 my Minister of Discreet Operations, and Janey Ravenhurst my Press Secretary

*Nia, of course, is an elf, and General Noir looks extreamly pale and stoic, and also appears to not be breathing. The others look rather normal, though Alex is smoking and a bit twitchy*

Silver is a little annoy at his being noticed, but he puts on a smile that is directed toward Taska. After all, he thinks. It is to be expected.

Nonetheless, his interest in the group from Driesden seems to increase. He watches each person carefully, making use of his ability to lip-read.

*Taska smirks at Mr. Silver as she stands next to him. Pulling her comlink off her ear she fiddles with it for a moment. Getting the right frequency she hands to to Mr. Silver with a mischievious look and moves him a few steps to the left*

Whiptail takes little notice of the diplomats, they have paid no attention to him, so he decides to stay in the background for a bit. "More guests...."

A smirk appears on Silver's face. He nods a thank you to Taska and listens into the Comlink. This looks to be most interesting, he thought, waiting for the conversation to proceed beyond introductions.

Ernst went back to his seat, Horris looking at the Finance Minister a bit before having himself stand up.

"Lady Eris..the relationship between Dreisden and Kallisti has near nonexistant one..even with the outbreak of the disasterous Melkorian War, only the offer of military aid with a few staff members was the bond that formed between our nations...It is time we should extend further in our relations..Now rest assured, I do not come before you to demand any sort of reprisal, that did not even constitute as a reason for our past actions involving you. Instead, my colleagues and I have been sent by the will of the Reichstag to discuss establishing and improving political relations between Dreisden and Kallisti..an 'alliance' if you will." Horris took a sip of water that he had requested earlier before continuing, "..You would be welcomed to send diplomats over to Dreisden not only to view the inner workings of a session within the Reichstag but also be allowed to have a representative within the External Affairs Committee, which works closely with the Foreign Ministry.. I will allow Ernst Hafstaengl to continue off with the beneficiaries in economic trade."

Ernst sat where he was, sitting straight up as he continued the talks, "Over the past few years, international investments, trade, even our own economic productivity has contributed to the rise of stability and prosperity within our country. The percentile growth in our standard-of-living has risen by 9.56 percent, one of our highest ever since, and our state deficit this year, so far, has only amounted to 136.4 million (If anyone who knows his/her RL economics and thinks this is too low, then suggest to me a much higher amount. I don't know too much of the economic scenarios.)..In which case is ideally better than last year's deficit of 340.6 million. Our participation within international trade has increased over half of what it was last year, and of course we are much willing to open trade routes with your nation. We would fully open our markets for your interests and establish fair, reasonable prices and if needed..I'm sure Chegwhitten wouldn't mind supplying a few escort ships in times of conflict. Investments within and between both countries could commence almost immediately. And of course, all products and business establishments are welcomed within Dreisden, benefitting in sharing the equal rights as the citizens have.."

Ernst finished his talk with a calm, and somewhat serious, smile. Horris and the others turned their attention to the Empress as they awaited for her response to thus so far. In the mean time, Ernst leaned over next to Ulrich's right ear, whispering, "So how goes the Auriga?.." Ulrich responded in an equally, near-quiet voice, "It has taken longer than expected, labor-wise, but other than that, it is coming along fine. I thank you for diverting additional funds, though we are not in the need of it." "Just in case something unexpected and costly happened. The Fuhrer is anxious to see it you know.." Ernst responded, smiling as the Admiral nodded his head in agreement, their gaze not broken from the Empress.

*Eris sat listening, her face showing little emotion, but keeping a small pleasent smile through the whole thing. Once they were done she nodded slowly. Nia glanced at Eris and spoke in elven to her quickly*

I'm all for an offical alliance, and open trade routes. What types of things are we looking to trade in here? I'm also interested in visiting your nation sometime soon... though you must realize I rarely leave this place.

*She smiles and nods to a servant who brings her a glass of wine, then sips it, turning back to her guests once more*

I have many plans that are coming up soon for my... personal life... but we can work on the details of -when- later really.

*On that note she wonders where Jai is. "David"23 leans back in his chair, rocking it a bit. Nia looks at him sharply and pushes the armrest down, putting his chair back the way it belongs. Eris glances at them both for a moment and "David"23 gives her an apologetic look. Alex's eye twitches a little and he snuffs out his 3rd cigarette since they sat down*

IC: Jai walks in with the robot. "That's odd..." he thinks, "I could've sworn that Athena was ahead of me the entire way up here, but she's no where in the room. Meh, she probably disappeared or something. Maybe she turned back into an owl, in which case I should probably warn my robots not to go owl huntin' if they get bored. A servant passes Jai, who Jai walks up to and taps his finger on the servant's shoulder.
"Hey," Jai says aloud, "Do you know where I could find Eris? I really should be with her and all, seeing as I'm her fiance."

*The servant girl blinks a few times, then meakly points towards the balcony*

IC: Jai thanks her, uncertain if she can hear him now that she had moved away. He shrugged, a little regretful that he hadn't been given the opertunity to thank her properly for that tidbit of news, and then walked on towards the balcony, the robot in tow.

Walking out onto the balcony, Jai spotted Eris up against the railing. He walked toward her, a little nervous about what her reaction might be, seeing as he left her for so long. First thing the poppped into her head, was that this was the perfect setup for a wonderful prank. Nia Starr looked at her, almost seeming to read Eris's mind, and shook her head just slightly. Eris let out a soft sigh and sipped her wine for a moment. Fun could wait untill later. Then something else popped into her head... she was no Nazi supporter, and she didn't allow the hate message to be sent the last time they tried to rally in her nation, but she was civil, and would stay civil, espeicaly to her guests.... Jai on the other hand... well, she hand no idea how he'd react. Quickly she sets her glass down and looks to her fiancee for a moment. Hopefully there wouldn't be a scene. At least not right now. Her eyes darted back to Horris and she tried to return to the conversation.*

Medical supplies and security equipment are always a good recourse. I have decent security but it can always use upgrading... not to mention my people would love to feel more safe. Anything milllitary related, well, we're not in that market at all. Our millitary is extreamly small

*General Noir nods solemly, looking a bit disgruntled about that. Alex Wazzat speaks up for a moment though*

I'd have to say our defence measured are extreamly good though. Our cargo ships are always extreamly well protected and each of our major cities have individual defence webs.

Most of our trades are simple things, but these are things everyone needs or wants. I have no idea what your laws are though, so the details for some of our trades will have to be looked over. I've noticed a lot of people don't legalize recreational drugs. I understand why, but it is one of our biggest trades here.

He also wondered what these men would do if they knew that he used to be Jewish (y'know, before converting to Discordianism for obvious reasons :wink: ), but he shrugged off the thought. "So," he began again, shaking the man's hand, "What's your nation like these days?"

He glanced over at Eris and gave a distress signal with his eyes. He wanted NOT to blow a fuse, that would be a little too uch of a Faux Pas right now.

Dekker sips on his beer, taking little notice of this new god. In his opinion, anything that bled could be killed, god or no. "Let me guess, is it Hades? Or Pluto?"

As the two went back to their seats, Horris let out a small sigh. Frustration clouded his mind over Ernst's prideful display of the Dreisden state. Although all were firm believers and supporters of the National Socialist government that had reigned over Dreisden for many years, they were also wary of people who did not understand the uniqueness of their government and would be quick to label them as "Aryanized, Jew Haters" as one civilian had quoted a few months back. Though he respected Ernst for his integrity, he sometimes wished he would tone down on such.

"...Now that all proper introductions have been made.." Horris stopped and turned to Ernst, "Herr Hafstaengl, do you have anything that you wish to add?" Ernst shook his head.

"No..I believe I have spoken all that I needed to."

"Then your presence here is done for now herr Hafstaengl. I thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to come here and oversee the discussion..You can join the others and wait as since we near our conclusion."

"But of course mein herr." Ernst nodded his head and gave a smile as he arose from his seat. He bid those around well a goodbye then walked up toward Eris and Jai,

"It has been a pleasure to meet the both of you..Be well and may we meet again in the future. Good day." Ernst smiled and slowly turned, making his way out of the balcony.

*As he left the balcony Eris turned back to Horris. She wasn't exactly sure what to say, or how to word things. Finaly she sighed softly*

I'm a fair woman, and I try not to judge too harshly Mr. Bael. Perhaps I shouldn't say anything at all, but I'd rather have things out in the open... I find you and those of your people I've met thus far to be extreamly poliet and very pleasent. I'm happy with how things are going, and fully ready to open up trade and alliences with your nation.... but...

*She takes a breath, glancing at Jai then back to Horris*

....I should say that many of my people may not look too kindly on such a display of such a now hated symbol. Many of them have fled their old nations to be away from such things, and they might have problems with my acceptance. Its a shame that this is so, because I feel everyone should be given an equal chance when they extent their hand in peace and friendship.
Mr. Bael... this is what I'm doing. I'm treating your nation no differant then I would treat any other nation who came to me peacefully. I just don't want some things to become... problems... in the future. I have no qualms with you, I will visit your nation, and I will observe how you deal with things. After that I will make a full assesment and respond accordingly.

What has been viewed upon as a symbol of hate, we see as a symbol of our society that is National Socialist..a show of faith that the Nazi party within Dreisden shall continue to reign as the dominant, governing body. I..no, we all here give our utmost assurances that absolutely no quarrels shall form between us on based upon what happened many years ago.." Ulrich temporarily interrupted Horris' speech, but the ambassador allowed it, trusting the high admiral as since being a close friend,

"To summarize herr Bael's statement, Lady Eris. Yes, Dreisden is a Nazi state. The swastika flag is used by those who are or have served within either the Army or the Military High Command..However, we are not like our so-called "National Socialist bretheren" who, sadly, openly persecute those who they consider "inferior". Dreisden upholds no justification of such behavior, all citizens..no matter they be Aryan, Jewish, or whatever, share equal rights..as well as equal punishment.."

"..And you would be most welcomed not just by our other fellow policy pushers but as well as the people themselves." Horris concluded, himself smiling over Ulrich's choice of words. The ambassador reaverted his gaze back on Lady Eris, awaiting for her reaction.

Whiptail watches intently as more guests arrive. The Empress Kallisti was certainly hospitable to allow so many into her home. Not even a third of the guests in the hall would have fit in his hut, nor did he have the provisons to feed them. He eyes the packages let under his guard by Redscale. "I wonder if they would like those now, or later..."

*Taska Jamali glances from Mr. Silver to the Ferryman looking slightly unnerved by everything. Bad luck... just bad luck. She crossed her arms and contnued to watch quietly*

Dekker draws his AMT Hardballer and spins it around on his index finger a few times before putting it on the endtable near his elbow. "I don't really care who he is, just passing time. I'd like to be out and about, looking for trouble, but Garand wants someone here to 'observe the proceedings', as he put it." He takes a sip of his beer, then sits it back down on a coaster next to his pistol.

National socialism, Ha I can think of five non-jewish related reasons why I never liked them...They created courts that operated outside of the law to deal with political opponents...They abolished all youth orginizations and created party dominated orginizations that taught only party line material...they abolished the church and any other religious orginization, hell you were married holding a copy of Mein Kampf! They had a tendency to use slave labor...and they created a cult around the central leader, I still shudder when I remember the poem Fuher Blume It still gives me shudders she thinks quietly to herself.

This newer, smarter breed of Nazis confused Jai, but he was willing to learn if it ment that he would have to whipe one less country off the face of the Earth. "Of course," he thought to himself, "There's always the chance that they could be lying. I'll have to send a few of my operatives their way to verify what they tell me."

Upon hearing Charon's voice, Jai looked down, shook his head, and muttered something along the lines of "Why me?"

Meanwhile, Clio had been watching the group come in. Though she hadn't said much of anything. Making a few quick notes in her book, the page began to fill on its own accord, allowing her to focus on other things. She hadn't the need to listen in on the conversation that was taking place on the balcony. History was being recorded as she looked around the group slowly, taking note of who had arrived.

Arching a brow slightly, she glanced to the doors as they opened as the cloaked figure walked in. She smirked slightly and shook her head, turning back to her book for a moment. She frowned slightly and sighed quietly.

This was turning out to be a longer day than she had really expected. She rubbed her temples slightly and glanced around at the people still in the main room. Interesting group they were. She arched a brow slightly and glanced back to the balcony for a moment and then back to the cloaked figure, speaking quietly.

"You don't have time for much, Ferryman. Welcome to the party, Charon."

I've seen my fair share of wars... my people are constantly fighting among themselves. Our biggest foes are the werecreatures though. They are honerable and fierce warriors, but they lack the sight to understand we are a part of this world and have a purpose just as they do. Generaly they consider us abominations and a plauge on humanity... we see ourselves as a neccisary(sp?) evil. Everything in the world has a natural preditor, we just happen to be that for humans. Not that we always kill or go out of our way to destroy all human life mind you... we only take what we need to survive.

By the time the boat had landed none of us were on it. we'd all jumped overboard and walked along the seabed. Normal bullets? oh belive me... I've been shot many many times. It hurts, and our younger ones will fall to them if you shoot them enough times. Specificaly in the head. Us elders have tougher skin though. You'd have to use a railgun to keep us down

Kris also waited patiently. But unlike the rest of the room she had dosed off and just awoken to see she had missed 5 page of RP and decided to just carry on listening rather than read all those pages and try and catch up.

She looked at Eris, and saw why Trix had wanted to take her hand in marrige in a thread not to long ago, she looked amazing. But now Trix was with Kris, and she was the happiest Elf alive. And it seemed Eris was the same with Jai.

Silver has the same effect on my as it would you. As far as I know its only good against werewolves and a few other type of werecreatures. Though I have heard stories of strange vampires who cannot tollerate silver... I've never met such a vampire though

She then glanced back to Ares who had gone into one of his stupors again. It figured. She stood slowly and made her way to the balcony. Nodding to her assistant, who moved aside with her daughter, Clio went up to Ares and tilted her head slightly.

With that she kicked him in the shin and then stepped back to rub her foot slightly. Clio winced slightly, that had hurt a bit.

Nemisis had nothing to do with it huh? Perhaps not directly, but she had had something to do with it in the end. The child's grandmother.. Now that would be an interesting twist indeed.

She frowned and looked at Ares again. Damn man was still in a stupor. She sighed softly and looked to Iliya, her assistant.

Horris' smile broadened as he was releaved from the replies of both Jai and Lady Eris, he turned his attention to Heleina who, without a word from the ambassador, nodded her head and arose from her seat,

"Pardon me, Lady Eris. I'll have to make an important call, I'll be right back." Heleina dismissed herself, reaching into her jacket pocket, pulling out a cellphone and dialing a call. She waited a few tones before getting a response..

"Hello?..Yes, this is Defense Minister Winsley..Get me herr Dietrich on the line."

As Heleina was making the call, Horris turns back toward the empress to continue off the talks,

"The day and time for your travel is clearly up to your consent. We would organize for a private passenger plane to fly you, your officials as well as our officials back to Dreisden..most likely landing at Vienna Grand Airport. If you choose to provide your own security, that is fine, but we must still assign you and your affiliates with our own security personnel...I am not fully sure on the details of such, Minister Winsley is more of the expert on such matters..." Horris was then interrupted by the voice of the Lady,

"If you'll excuse me for a moment... There seems to be some problems. Forgive me."

Horris nodded his head, "Of course Lady Eris. I will wait."

I mean, she went there in the R-Mother, she should be able to leave in it. The thing's got armor better than a tank's, what could Rasputin do to it?"

"I don't know. We're all concerned. Also, we think Resi might have his own mech."

Dekker shrugs and sets the pistol down again, next to his half empty beer bottle. "You mean that Unum guy, or Jai?"

The one she tossed Jai did not say "Kallisti" on it (which means "for the prettiest one" in Greek)... no, the one she gave Jai said "for the one who is not a fool". Of course it was written in Greek as well, but Eris's player doesn't speak Greek. The effect of the apple would make Rasputin's lackys fight amongst eachother. It may not do anything to Rasputin in particular ((cuz I think he can take his own henchmen hehe)), but it would cause some confusion and chaos to the situation he may not be expecting. The words on the apple would instantly translate to the native language of whoever tries to read it.*

*She looks back towards the Dreisden and nods slowly. Pushing forwards a smile she finaly responds to them, hoping she's not coming across as rude*

With that, Jai hops off the balcony into the pilot's seat in the mech, motioning for Pavis to do the same.

Heleina looked at the mech then drew attention to her bag that she had brought along. She searched for a few minutes before producing a notepad and a pen, immediately jotting down: *Note to Self: Increase Funds; Military R&D* She put the notepad back into her bag. Now I know exactly what to spend on for the next military budget... She humored the thought that went in her mind as Horris spoke on to Eris.

"..Well now.... That was surely the most interesting eh..highlight of the day..of the years for most of us." He paused for a moment as he let all that had happened settle in before continuing,

"...Well then. I believe that concludes our business here..Unless the others have something they wish to discuss?.." None of the others spoke, Ulrich then began to speak,

"The only other thing that should be put aside is our military. At this moment, Dreisden forces are still present within Kallisti ever since that whole Melkor mess...Seeing as how a threat from that nation seems to have subsided, we no longer need to keep a military arm over your nation, Lady Eris. We will begin immediate withdrawal of all remaing military personnel and ships. If you wish to still have a small number of our current force remain in Kallisti, that is understanbable and do-able. I have said my piece.." The High Admiral sat back down, Horris continued,

" Now all is left is the signing. I currently have with me, the document that will officially establish relations on friendly terms between Dreisden and Kallisti. Its terms have basically been overviewed in our discussion..If you wish, we can either sign it now, in a formal ceremony in your nation, or in Dreisden during your tour." Horris lifted a metallic suitcase that had been standing next to his right leg, onto the table, he opens it to reveal what is the document that would seal the agreement and form a political/mutual alliance with the two countries.

As Jai jumped into the mech, Defense Minister Heleina rose from her seat, the other Dreisden officials follow suit.

"Mr. Resi..Good luck to whatever task you are needed to do. We hope to meet you again, especially to give you the tour." Heleina smiled as she gave a formal military salute, Horris and the others followed in her actions.

The ambassador quickly nodded in agreement as the group gathered their belongings. Horris went up to Eris and spoke,

"It has been a pleasure meeting with you Lady Eris. We will head and wait in the main palace hall..I'm sure you have more important matters to attend to." Horris smiled and gave a wink as he and the others dismissed themselves from the balcony.

Jai waved goodbye and said something that was lost in the roar of the mech's engines. Then the cockpit door slammed and the mech took off, heading towards Roania.

Inside the mech, a little light started blinking on its radar. "Hello, what's this?" Jai said more to himself than the other passangers, "It looks like Sara's distress becon! Well, that's where we're headed, then!"

*She nodded slowly to Horris and smiled weakly*

*As they left she got up, turing to watch Jai take off. With a heavy sigh she rested against the balcony. Nia stood and walked to Eris's side, putting a hand on her shoulder*

Now in orbit, Jai attempts to make small talk with his crew members.

*Pavis shrugs a bit with an unsettling smile*

I've got my Empress tofight for... and she seems to have a "thing" for you Mr. Resi. So I will fight with you in her place. I'm here to help protect you sir.

*She shakes her head at his question*

Horris and the others entered the main palace hall, reunited with the other officials who had stayed behind. Ernst immediately walked toward Horris, the two shaking hands,

"So how did the meeting go since I left?"

"All we need to discuss is when and where to sign. You need not worry your mind." There is a short moment of clapping and congratulations as Horris told them of the recent developments. This was a big step for Dreisden's foreign policy, which had long only dealt primarily only with nations within the DoP alliance. Ernst turned to a nearby servant, himself smiling over not just the friendly relations that would be made but how much Dreisden would benefit from it financially.

"Ah. Young lady..If it is allowed, I request for some glasses and..let's say, a bottle or two of red wine..Any kind will do."

"Thanks, but I'm sure I'll be fine. My main concern is Sara, even though she's got a full arsenal of weapons at her fingertips, she still doesn't have any idea what she's up against. As for space, the best part of space is getting out of it. It's like riding a giant flaming rollercoaster... well, sort of."

Ernst turned to a nearby servant, himself smiling over not just the friendly relations that would be made but how much Dreisden would benefit from it financially.

"Ah. Young lady..If it is allowed, I request for some glasses and..let's say, a bottle or two of red wine..Any kind will do."*the sevat girl nodded with a pleasant smile*

*She scurries off, returning shortly with two bottles and another servant in tow with the glasses. The two servant girls smile at eachother, then to the officals*

Ernst smiled at the at the two,

"None that I can think of no..Thank you.." Ernst took hold of both bottles as the other officials went to grab a cup, each thanking the maidens. Ernst gently opened both bottles, pouring himself a glass then allowing the bottle to pass around.

The officials and commanders gathered and rose their cups, saying in unison,

"For the fuhrer." With the cling of glass and the instances of 'cheers' the officials took their drinks. Some drank in a quickened gulp, looking about for the bottle for more while the others took the time to enjoy their first fill.

*The girls smiled and nodded to each of them as they were thanked. When they were no longer needed they bowed in unison and left to tend to any of the other guests*

Athena returns to the balcony, from other things...(ooc:like having a life)
and watches Resi jet up into the air in his Mech...
"I hope he remebered the dagger, or did he leave it in his robot?"

She walks up to Eris and says..."watching your mortal beloved run off into battle is always hard. Even worse when Ares may show up on the other side at any given moment..."she looks down at the garden. "And it only gets harder...your children and great grandchildren are forced to deal with the wirlwind of history and you can only do so much for them...Why do you think I spend most of my time in another dimension now? I worry about my little Victoria...or Elizabeth...Ah, well I never congressed with my fellow Gods too much...but how do I miss him..."

OOC: Ignore the fact that Dekker went with Jai, he's already in Roania, as the commando that's be causing trouble for the demons and undead there.

*Eris frowns deeply and furrows her brow. Slowly she turns to Athena and sighs*

I know it will be hard, but I think I'm ready for this. I can handle it. Half the time it seems like I'm the only one of the family who hasn't really gotten into relations with the mortals. Its time I did.... whatever will be, will be.

Clio sighs softly, glancing out to her two sisters on the balcony. Her foot hurt slightly and her eyes still burning with a cold fire. The Muse never really got angry, that anyone had ever seen, but obviously something was troubling her at the moment. Ares was still in a stupor, the damn fool. Eris was going to need support. She knew that already. But with Resi going after those who wanted a number of people dead. Roania...

Things were going to be stressful. Clio just hoped Ares wouldn't switch sides. Eris needed her family with her on this. Not against her. She sighed again and turned back to her book for a moment, rubbing her temples. She spoke softly in that odd language of hers and watched the pages turn to mark the progress of Resi and the conflict in Roania.

Whiptail advances over to Eris. "With your mate gone, I will do my best to protect you from his enemies. I know what it is like to return home victorious, only to find your loved ones slain in cold blood. Such a thing will not happen to Resi."

Athena thinks...

"I suggest, young Kris, you leave the Empress Eris alone at the moment. And as for Nemesis. If you really think you could go after the Goddess of Divine Justice and Vengeance alone, you are either crazy or stupid. We will find out the reason behind your father's death. But it will take time."

She narrowed her eyes again at the young elf and frowned.

Nix looks like its seen better days, its clothes are a bit torn up and it looks like someone had taken a knife to it a few dozen times, but he was walking alright. Callisto and William didn't look all that great either, but they were better off then their companion.*

*Eris looks up, blinking a few times. When she sees who it is she stands, taking the bunny with her, and moves quickly to her officals. Nix offers her a half smile. The Empress looks like she's nearly in tears as she looks Nix and the others over. Snapping her fingers she calls out to a few servants in some strange language. They hurry over, bringing blankets. She says a few things quietly to Nix, William, and Callisto then motions them off to a differant room quickly.*

*She follows them in, then comes back a minute later by herself. She looks a bit better off, but still a bit worried. Nia smiles, and rests a hand on Eris's shoulder, squeezing it gently. The Empress smiles back weakly and pats Nia's hand just before sitting back down, and petting the bunny again*

As Resi and the others leave and the Dreisden delegation finishs their official business, Silver hands Taska the comlink and excuses himself for a second. He steps deeper into the shadows and removes a cell phone from his coat. Dialing a number and lifting the phone to his head, he speaks for a second and then puts the phone away and returns to where he stood near Taska.

Turning toward where Taska sat, he collapsed into a chair. "This has been one busy day," he stated. For the first time, allowing his carefully crafted facade to fall away and show his exhaustion.

Even in exhaustion, his mind raced. He should have gone with Resi. He would have been a great help. No, his mind roared. He was out of that work. Never again, he had vowed. Still, the fealing was there, even though he had made arrangements. Silver was someone who like to do things himself, and the fealing he should have gone could not be changed. He considered Jai Resi, a friend. At least, as close to a friend as he would allow anyone.

He glanced at Taska, absent-mindedly, then across the room. His face now showing the wheels turning in his head.

He did know her.*Taska tilted her head at Mr. Silver wondering why he was looking at her like that.... she had no concrete memories of that past... more like fleeting glimpses that came to her over time*

Finally, Silver spoke. "I know where we met," he said simply.

Why he couldn't remember. He knew now. He didn't want to remember, it was the one thing that had changed his life forever. Why he had fled his country, why now he was hunted, why he had started CoVar.

He leaned forward, his right hand starting to shake uncontrolably. The memory, bringing it all back. He covered his shaking right hand with his left and looked straight into Taska's eyes, drawing her attention and hoping that she did not notice his hand's shakes.

"You rescued me on a mission, years back," he informed her. "Saved me from the interogators. Do you remember?"

Silver's cool had collapse as he desperately tried to restore it. His hand was still shaking and he could not stop it. He hoped badly that she did not notice, but it was getting worse. He had to do something.

Rising, he excused himself for a second. Walking out of the room and heading for a rest room. Even his gate was effected, he tried to control it, but his normal smooth walk was lost. Reaching the rest room, he locked the door and rested against the counter as the shaking overwhelmed his body.

*She was dancing around the subject mostly, and her hand went absently to her face, more distinctly, to her right eye. For the most part she hadn't realized she'd done it. She could feel a set of her own shakes setting in, but was doing good at controling it. Kicking up her feet on the coffe table once more she leans back on the couch with another shrug*

Silver seemed almost disappointed. "It was a long time ago. Let's see what I remember." He thought for a second, there was the flash of a briefing paper.

"Taska Jamali, daughter of Captain...no wait...he's now Admiral Roche Jamali. Hailing from a traditional navy family. Your grandfather was Grand Admiral Teros Jamali. You served in the Imperial Drakonian Naval Marines, until you were recruited by the Drakonian Intelligence Agency. Which was who you were with on that cursed winter mission to rescue my team.

"Your mother, one Alexis Jamali, died in a car crash when you were young and your father remarried to a Trinidadian, by the name of Altheia Farrell. You have a step sister through her. One, Malaika Jamali, which is...I believe...Kiswahili for Angel."

Silver's memory was impecable, or at least it had been until that winter mission. Silver once had a nearly photographic memory, now while he still had a remarkable memory much of it would fade away with time and his past, much of it he did not remember at all.

Still, much of his painful past was coming back as his memory of that horrible mission shot back into his mind. Now, he could see Taska Jamali's DIA file as clearly as he had that day at the breifing. Current details flashed in as well as the random fact about Kiswahili.

Silver fell back into his chair, his body now truly entirely exhausted after the Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome episode. His mind too was now feeling the fatigue, the old memories taking more out of his than he had thought possible.

*Taska's eye twitched as she listened, sitting up a little with a frown. How the phuck did he know so much. Her frown turned quickly into a scowl. She didn't like her family being brought up, and she didn't like it when people knew too much about her past... things she wanted to forget*

I don't know what your talking about...

*Her voice was cold and flat, as she pulled her feet off the coffee table. Her father hadn't spoken to her in years, and her step-mother... well, she never talked to that woman anyway. After a moment she got up, and walked off towards the doors in a huff. She'd hoped that had all been far behind her, that no one remembered any of that anymore. Hell, it hadn't even come up when she got her job with Eris*

Silver caught the drift of Taska anger, realizing he should have been more polite and maybe not quoted what he could remember, Silver stood tried to regain his fragile composure. Silently, he again cursed what that mission had done to him. Normally, he wouldn't have made such a stupid mistake as to bring up the breifing data.

He rushed after Taska and caught up with her just a she was about to make her mistake. "Ms. Jamali," he stated politely, his voice finally regaining his diplomatic tone. "I am truly sorry, for upsetting you. I would like to appologize." For once...(Silver remembered what the mission had done to him)...no, twice, John Silver was at a loss.

*She stopped, sighed heavly, and leaned against the doorframe. After a moment she looked up at Silver. Her expression looked more tired then anything*

Fine... but ya have some nerve bringin' up things that are none o' your buisness...

*She could possibly loose her job over talking to him like this, but rightnow she didn't care. She was more then a little angry*

... some things... well, sometimes people don' deal well with family. I'd rather not speak ah mine. They wan nothin' tah do wit me, and pretty much the feelin' is mutual.

*That wasn't true, but she tried to make it sound like it was. A part of her missed her father. Not that she'd ever admit it. She shakes her head, glancing out the door*

and I'd rather not talk about mah past missions here in tha palace... most things are recorded here....

*Quietly she motions with her head towards the gardens outside*

Silver was still stuck, he didn't know what to say what to do. In truth he didn't want to remember that mission, but then part of him did. Maybe, he could put it behind him. Finally, he followed Taska.

*Taska lead him out to a gazebo in the garden and placed her hands on the railing to keep herself from shaking. Looking out over the garden she sighed a bit. She wasn't sure if she was remembering correctly... had that been the mission she'd lost her eye in? Part of her didn't want to remember, but she did want to fill in the gaps in her memory badly. She'd gotten hit in the head around that time, and a lot of things were lost. Vaugely she remembered Silver... or someone who looked a lot like him at least, but she couldn't get more then flashes of faces and pain still. Her hand went up and she touched the side of her right eye again*

"It was good to see you again herr Bael and herr Hafstaengl." Heleina shook each of the gentlemens' hands, smiling while she did so. All of the officials would be returning back to Dreisden, as well as all the others except for the Defense Minister. Although she had been requested to return, she had gotten approval by the Fuhrer to stay behind on the basis that she had more experience, with exception to Ulrich, with her prolonged stay in Kallisti. Those back home here reluctant, but later agreed to the decision.

"Give Lady Eris my humblest apologies on our hasty departure." Ernst explained, himself actually disappointed that he could not stay longer, "..But also that we, especially I, am looking forward for her and Jai's arrival to Dreisden when it is arranged."

"I will herr Hafstaengl..Now, let us proceed." The group gathered whatever belongings they carried with them and headed for the palace main entrance.

The entire group gave their farewells as the High Admiral was the last to get into the front limo. Heleina and two of her aides gave a farewell salute as the cars slowly exited, then making their way back into the palace.

A few minutes after the departure of the Dreisden foreign delegates, Heleina wandered around the halls as she continued to look for Eris. Finally giving up on searching the entire palace halls on her lonesome, Heleina calls after a nearby maiden. The Defense Minister quickens her pace a bit as she finally reaches the girl. She approached the maiden with a smile, her hands behind her back, her uniform all neat as if it had just gotten through cleaning,

"Excuse me..But would you happen to know where Lady Eris is? I wish to speak to her. I have some news to which I must inform her of."

*The girl tilts her head curiously at Heleina, and blinks. recovering quickly the servant girl stands up straight and smiles polietly*

I belive she is with her sister the Lady Athena on the balcony still... or at least she should be ma'am.

"Ah, I see...Well then, I will leave Lady Eris while she does so. If you can..Please tell her that I wish to speak with the Lady after a few moments. Thank you, young lady."

She nods her head as she turns about and starts to head off toward her assigned room, the sounds of her heels as they hit the ground lightly resonating through the hallway.

*The servant girl gives a half bow to Heleina*

*The girl heads to the balcony, tapping Eris lightly on the shoulder. Eris looks to her with a questioning look*

Empress.... The Dreisden Defence Minister wishes to speak with you for a few moments if you have the time. I belive she is in her room.

*Eris sighs softly* alright...

*She was dealing with so much with Jai being away, she figured it may be best to distract herself rather then sitting around and dwelling on things*

Excuse me Athena, I'll be back in a little while

*Standing slowly, she sets the bunny down on the table. Wih one last pet for the bunny she walks off the balcony. For a moment she glances around the main hall at the people left. Nia gives her a look with a raised brow, but Eris shakes her head and motions for the elf to stay where she is. Making her way to the Minister's assigned room she knocks on the door*

"I'm coming." Heleina proclaimed as she headed toward the door, herself still in uniform. She opened the door, immediately bowing her head at the presence of Eris.

"Lady Eris, please do come in..I am sorry if I called for your attention at a bad time.." Although her stay was merely temporary, Heleina had actually decorated the drawer tops and tables with some things that she had managed to bring with her upon her initial arrival. On the main desk in the center of the room is a medium, self-standing picture frame of Heleina, along with a few others. Next to it being a much smaller, self-stand frame with the image of Heleina along with a few other military officers.

"Again..Apologies for any interruption while you were with your sister. Ma'am.." She opened the door full and stepped aside as to allow the empress in.

*Eris nodded as the door was opened. Her eyes glanced around the room and she smiled polietly*

I'm glad to see your making yourself at home

*Stepping inside she desperatly wished she had something to do with ehr hands, as she felt herself get a bit fidgety. Clasping them infront of her she shook her head*

No no... its alright. I'm sure Athena doesn't really mind. I'm not exactly her favorite sister anyway

*She chuckles softly*

Heleina smiled as Eris let out a chuckle, walking on over to the table while she cleared some objects that were on it.

"...I understand, I would continually look for anything to do whenever I was nervous, myself." Heleina explained, while clearing the table she offered to Eris a small rubix (or is it rubics?) cube with the colors already in disarrangement.

"Something to occupy with m'lady to calm your troubles..as well as keep you from getting bored while I clean off some of things." Heleina went back to removing some scattered papers as she put them into a bag that had been on the floor.

"..I"m sorry for the mess, I hadn't expected for you to come immediately."

*She grins at the cube and shakes her head a bit as she takes it*

I always liked the way they looked when they were messed up more then when they were solved.

*She tosses the cube from one hand to the other idlely. As she does this, the puzzle's colors move around, but it never solves itself*

*She settles in a chair, avoiding discussing her concerns for her fiancee*

She looked at Eris for a bit, then deciding it was best not to mention anything in relation to Jai...for now at least. After putting in the last paper, Heleina pulled over a nearby chair and sat down,

"First off, I just wanted to inform you that Mr. Bael and the others have departed back to Dreisden for other matters to which they must tend to. I am the only one that has remained to stay...Second is more of wanting to know what you would enjoy having or seeing in the duration of your stay within our country, I can organize a variety of things to set your mood for the best as to make it more like a vacation and less like a political venture...Trust me, I have experienced many myself and know how it often feels.."

*Eris smiles a bit*

*She shakes her head, making a dissmissive motion with her hand.*

"...There's another question I wish to ask of you..its more of a personal one.." Heleina stopped as she grabbed the nearby picture frame, "..H-how well do you get along with your family?..Ma'am?"

My brother Ares and I get along the best... the rest of my family is tempermental with me most of the time. Not that I exactly blame them. I have a tendancy to catch them all off gaurd.

She hands the picture frame over to Eris. The picture is a black and white. Heleina seemed rather troubled, her expression showing herself to be lost,

"...This is a picture of my grandparents and the family when they lived in Kalveria, that was until the Nazi takeover during the 1930s, supported and possibly led by Dreisden..." Heleina paused a moment as if she needed a break to catch up her breath..

"My family was at first outraged, then terrified as people started disappearing when they were arrested by the Kalverian secret police, including some close family friends. For years, my family has vowed to stay clear from any activities connected of National Socialism, especially within Dreisden. When me and my brother, Marcus, joined the Drei-Wehrmacht...our family was outraged, calling us traitors of Innocence. They ceased contact with us ever since..."

*She sets the cube in her lap and takes the picture, looking it over. As Heleina speaks her brow furrows a little*

...... so why did you decide to join anyway? Money, rank, better benifts? My family rarely supports my discisions, so I know how that feels, but I always have my own reasons for doing things even when they arn't always clear at first

*She sighs a bit looking up from the picture*

"..When Kal-Drei war of 1981 broke out...My family urged me to flee with them to England..I refused, as did Marcus. It was the last straw for them...They stated that they would disown us, and threatened that neither of us come back to them...Its been sixteen years since I last saw or even spoke to them.." A small tear trickled down Heleina's right cheek, she brushes it aside,

"My brother died during the White Tundra war, but I was the only blood relation to attend his funeral. My family was informed..they said that they burned the letter in response... I-..I don't know what to think anymore....I am torn between two loyalties.."

*Eris looks at her curiously*

*She sighs softly and shakes her head a little, handing back the picture*

Family is very important... but its important they understand and accept your choices in life as well. I think, perhaps, you need to search yourself more. find out what's important to -you-... because in the end your all you have, and your the most important.... normaly.

*She smiles a little*

Obviously someone like me doesn't have that option. I have to think of my entire nation everytime I turn around... I must always put it before myself... almost as if it were my own child.

"I've think you given me a good part of the answer.." Heleina took back the picture, putting it face down upon the table,

"Thank you m'lady for the discussion. I am glad we had this talk.." She smiled, "..I hope it was of no bother to you and apologize if it were any.."

*Eris smiles a little, semi-sadly, but its a smile none the less. Slowly she stands up*

*The cube falls off of her lap and turns into a small finch. The finch lands on the headboard of the bed and makes small noises. Eris doesn't seem to notice. She rests a hand on Heleina's shoulder for a moment, giving it a soft squeeze*

Sometimes choices are tough Heleina... but you still have to choose -something- in the end... even if it is to do nothing.

*She lets go of Helaina's shoulder and heads for the door*

Silver leaned against the entry way to the gazebo. His right hand shook a little and he crossed his arms to hide it. For a long time neither of them spoke.

"I am again sorry," Silver appologized. "I was just trying to recall the mission and you DIA file was part of the information I absorded at the briefing...so long ago." His voice trailed off for a while.

"Nepal," he said finally. "Himalaya, Nepal. That's where the mission was. Brotherhood Base S-26, a Black Hand Training Center and Nuclear Research base. That's what we were after, nukes...." Again his voice trailed off. "We were after NOD's nuclear secrets. It was susposed to be so easy. So easy." Finally, Silver just stopped speaking listening to the sound of the night. His hand was quivering now even though it was held securely against his chest.

*Taska moved to look at him with a sigh. Turning slowly she nodded a little, finaly deciding to admit she remebered a few things. Her arms wrapped around herself*

There was a pause and then Silver spoke. "I am not surprised. Once, my memory was practically photographic, and then...now...it seem much of the past is gone...jumbled...or just...just boxed up." He didn't speak for a second. His body shuddered with the thought of the cold or maybe it was just the shell shock acting up. "I remember the cold, the storm," he stated icely. "Still there is a blur of much of it...pain...." Again Silver simply trailed off, The Memory (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=71626) suddenly continuing in his mind.

*Her head tilted at him a little and furrowed her brow. Ever since that mission she'd hated being anywhere cold, it made her horribly uncomfortable. Good thing Eris Kallisti is rather tropical, she enjoyed it a lot*

It bothers me that I can' always remember things too well... I mean I obviously helped ya out, and I kinda wish I could remember that.

*She sighed... maybe there was a reason she couldn't remeber clearly, and maybe it was for the best. She rubbed the cornor of her right eye again... damn those old pains.*

Silver left out a soft almost silent sigh. "Perhaps, it's for the best you don't remember. It was horrible...horrible...," he said trailing off again into silence. For a long time the Gazebo was silent, neither person wanting much to talk or remember, yet, Silver finally gave in and let the memories play out in his head.

OOC: You will know when, the mission will be shot to hell. Taska's team is the backup/rescue team. I'll post Taska's teams HALO jump and then let you take off from there.

*Taska forced a weak smile and shrugged a little, speaking softly.*

*Eris now made her way back into the main hall. Glancing around she found the bunny was still sitting on the table on the balcony. Quietly she walked oer and scooped him up, then stood at the balcony's railing, looking out at the sky.... come on Jai... get back soon... she was still a bit nervious about everything, and wondered how things were going. nia glanced up at her from her seat, with the open laptop infront of her. Blinking a few times the elf sighed and went back to checking on things*

As soon as the words entered Eris' mind, a little twinkle appeared in the night sky. It became larger and larger until one could distinctly tell that it was a fallen object from space of some sort. However, most of those at the party would know exactly what it was: a Raven Unit.

Sure enough, the Glory Prota fell out of the sky and was headed straight for the palace. A second before it would've struck, it came to a horrible lurching halt that for some reason looked incredibly smooth, and hung burning from friction in midair. The head unfolded and opened up, during which a lone figure emerged. Jumping out of the cockpit, it soared through the air gracfully and landed on the balcony, stretched out a bit, then turned to Eris and said, "Honey, I'm home!"

Jai walked out of the shadows, reveiling his face to the goddess.

*It was like a great weight lifted from her as she held him, and the skies cleared in the nation. Nia Star nodded a greeting to Jai with a bright smile... maybe now the lef could expose Dawn..... but it could wait while untill the Empress officaly greeted her fiancee properly*

Almost unnoticably Silver shuddered. Could have been worse, thought seemed to jar Silver to core. The memories now seemed to haunt him, replaying again and again in his mind. "Alive," Silver said quietly to himself. "Worse," he added silently and rhetoricly.

The truth to what Taska wondered, was known to none, but Silver liked it that way. The mission had shattered Silver more than physically, the shell shock and torchure had destroyed him mentally. The moral, loyal, honest soldier who people had known before the mission had died there in cold Nepal at the hands of the NOD interogators. No one then had noticed, although the Drakonian Psychologists had suspected. He had become an entirely different person and disguised himself so that none knew until it was to late.

"Could have been worse...," Silver repeated. "I wonder could it have?"

*Taska sighs, running her hand absently through her hair.. she wished, desperately wished, she could help him more. Obviously this was troubling him horribly. Slowly she moved over to a bench on the gazebo and sat down*

Clio, having dozed off a bit, awoke suddenly and looked around. Blinking a bit she noticed Jai had returned. Glancing at her book, she nodded slowly and then frowned slightly. Ares was of course still in his stupor. It figured. Shaking her head a bit, she glanced at her assistant and nodded slowly. Turning back to her book again, Clio made a quick note and ran her hand through her hair slowly as if pondering something else.

Outside Iliya watched as Jai and Eris were reunited again. Smiling slightly, she turned to her daughter who was resting in one of the chairs nearby. Glancing over at Ares, the elf shook her head slightly and chuckled softly. The God of War had become a victim of one of his stupors again. Turning to look out to the night sky, Iliya frowned slightly as she crossed her arms in front of her. Something still wasn't right. She glanced over to where her sister was and arched a brow slightly in question. A silent communication between the two, ever since they were children.

At the words, "if you want to talk," Silver involuntarily flinched. What had he gotten himself into, he wondered as he realized how much about his inner turmoil had been revealed by his body language and conversation. He did not want to talk...or did he.

Finally, Silver replaced the mask over his face, gained control of his raging emotions and turned to leave. But, there was no way out. He had dug himself in too deep. After a moment, he sat down and began to tell the story of that fateful mission to Taska.

Back to what I love..Heleina thought as she picked up the suitcase and headed out of her room. She smiled and greeted a few maidens and officials who walked about as she descended down stairs. After asking a few of the servants around, Heleina found the empress in an embrace with the returned fiancee. The Defense Minister smiled and decided to wait where she was so that the two had time to catch up on things.

"Ok. So we've organized our escort teams. Rohm and the others will be awaiting at the planned terminal to greet the Kallisti arrivals. Up to this point, we cannot determine exactly how this will go about..seeing as how the flight arrangements have yet to been made." Dietrich and a few fellow officers stood amongst each other, around a table that had a few files, all of SS squadrons.

"I don't think we really need Lans' team as a reserve...nor even Hauffman's team. Rohm and the others should be sufficient enough." Declared one of his subordinates, Dietrich looked at the man,

"Yes..we are going overboard on this. But I'd rather be overprotective than raise the chance that some pyscho will attempt to do her in. So the plan stays as it is, we should be able to plan more once we get the exact information we need."

"Ah, Mr. Resi. Will you be coming along with us?..If so, I have already set preparations for both of your arrivals..Last I heard, we will most likely be bound for the Verdun International." She brought over a nearby chair and took a seat as she set the suitcase down next to her left side.

"I don't see why not," Jai says with a grin that doesn't appear forced, but actually is, "I'd love to visit your nation, maybe work out a trade pact or two. It would mean more money and supplies for the both of us."
