Hi, I'm new and wonder if somebody can tell me how Endorsements work. So far I'm liking what I see here.

In whatever region your in, you can endorse anyone you want(maybe something you like or w/e), and they can do the same if they like you. If you receive enough endorsements, you could become a delegate for that region, but thats not likely to happen overnight. But you have to be a member of the region, and I'm not sure, but might have to be a WA member nation as well. Can't endorse anyone outside your region. Hope this helps. Any more questions, you should check out the FAQ page on the main site, its been very helpful to me.

You have to be in the WA to do that. The whole delegate thing is generally for WA purposes, but I can imagine with how some regions Rp governing structures that it could take on additional significance. btw,

You can give and receive endorsements only if you are a WA nation, and only to other players in your region. You can endorse more than one nation. If you leave the WA, the endorsements you've given and got vanish. Same if you leave the region.

Game rules don't force you to endorse anyone, but some regions have a regional rule that you can stay there only if you endorse the Delegate. If you don't, the Delegate can (quite legally) kick you out of the region. Others have a cap on endorsements, where everyone but the Delegate is restricted to a certain number of endorsements.

The Delegate of your region is the person with the most endorsements. Delegates are important for several reasons, but let's stick to endorsements.

You need two endorsements from members of your region before you can submit a proposal to the WA. (It's okay to ask for endorsements for this purpose.)

You can also use your endorsement for political purposes within your region -- withdrawing it from a Delegate you want overthrown, backing a challenger, offering it to whoever will do what you want done.

Endorsements are also used to back a Delegate if your region is under attack by raiders, or to support your raider leader if you're one of the attackers.

So endorsements are mostly important within a region, but they have a part in the bigger game.

As you've probably discovered by now, such changes take place when the system updates.

There are two maintenance updates. Links in this thread (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=528680) go into more detail on times.
