High King Aragorn

There are a good amount of Middle Earthian Regions throughout NS, and each one offers it's own perks and benefits. I suppose, one would have to ask, what makes this region so different?
The Kingdom of Middle Earth is ran by myself, the High King Aragorn. It takes place in the fourth age of Middle Earth, and has a background that is unique, I think, to this theme. Our recruitment message says a lot on the matter:
After the fall of Sauron in the Third Age of Middle Earth, Aragorn took the title of King of Gondor, and the Lady Arwen as his wife. During his reign, a Golden Age of peace descended upon Middle Earth and the inhabitants knew complete happiness and prosperity. There were still evil things in the world, but those evil things no longer had the same power of fear over people and were soon hunted to near-extinction. The Ents, having found their Entwives, have turned the barren land between Bree and Rivendell known as the Lone Lands into a beautiful and wonderful place to live, full of flowers and trees the like of which have not been seen since the earliest days of Middle Earth History when Illuvitar and his band of Ainur sang into existence the land of Middle Earth, across the sea from their island home.
With Gimli and Legolas at their head, the Dwarves and Elves formed a strong alliance and open trade between the two races has become a common sight. The Elves having gained this by helping the Dwarves clear out and resettle their lost kingdom of Moria. Such treasures are now being made that have not been seen in many long, troublesome centuries. The Hobbits are also becoming an increasing sight all over Middle Earth as they are urged by their elders to go and see the world. A good many of them have settled down in the Ettenmoors, near Rivendell, and in the grasslands between Lothlorien and Fangorn Forest.
During this Golden Age of Peace, it is my pleasure as High King to invite you to take up residence in the glorious region of The Kingdom of Middle Earth. We are just starting out on the road of peace again, and population is low at this point, but it is my hope that it will one day reclaim it's former glory and have all corners populated by free people. We do have a government in place, located on message boards, the link of which is on the regions page, and while registry is not mandatory, we do urge you to join and to keep yourself current on everything that's happening. Also, at this time, I would like to say that while you may be requested to do certain things, the only real requirement to joining The Kingdom of Middle Earth is that you follow NationStates rules.

If you came here from the Regional Factbook of the region, then Welcome. Middle Earth is the favorite topic of a lot of people, and it's lore has spanned the minds of billions for almost the last 100 years. A whole page of human history is spent with it's books being the favorites of entire generations of people. To say that this region was created without thought to that, without heed, and without imagination, would be a lie, and would not do justice to the name of J.R.R. Tolkien
And that is what I had hoped to do in making this region.
We are part of a group of a regions controlled by one government. Many choose to skip out on what goes on in the government and are content to just sit idly in the region and do their issues. We are Ok with this, but at the same time, we are always looking for active people to join our message boards and give rise to the lyrics of their heart and let their voices be heard. Every single person has the opportunity to do something in our government, if they only try. Each person makes it what it is and it has been successful up to this point and it will continue to be so for a long time, yet.
Think about it: every single person has the power to shape the government and control where it goes, as long as they are willing to take an interest in it. Will you be one of those people? Almost everything that affects the region and the other regions in the government, occurs on the government boards, and we urge everyone to take part in that.
