Is this the future of RPing!?

I just recently came across Project Wonderland (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Project_Wonderland)

And was startled to find someone was open-sourcing the technology to create Second-Life style online environments. Even juicer is that the environment can compute XML files...you know what that means....

I was wondering if anyone wanted (with a faster internet provider, and better technological skills than myself) to set up a virtual WA assembly. It could have the Stranger's Bar, hallowed halls, and a long, long entrance of flags...

Okay, there would be no way to determine who is who for certain... but whatevers! ;)

Anybody else see this as a possibility?

Personally, the only programming languages i am good/awesome with are c++ and php. No xml for me hehe. Lets find someone better, but I would totally support this idea.

XML isn't the main language, its a java project, I believe. XML feeds could be used to manipulate things in the environment though.

Personally, I can do some java to an extent, but I hate it, and it hates me.
