Welcome!

The East Pacific is one of the five feeder regions in Nationstates.net where nations are spawned from. While there is much activity on the regional message board on the region page, there is so much more we offer.

Forums (http://z1.invisionfree.com/forums/The_East_Pacific) are where many nations hang out in the region, get to know each other, play games, and roleplay with other nations. Quite fun. If you're new, introduce yourself here (http://z1.invisionfree.com/forums/The_East_Pacific/index.php?showforum=233). Be sure to register!

The Public Chatroom (http://www.chatzy.com/152452768055) is quite active and is the very first in region to have one. It allows for easy chatting between other members in and around the region - and no programs to download, forms to fill out, etc. Quite nice. Drop us a line, don't be shy!

A Concordat (http://z1.invisionfree.com/forums/The_East_Pacific/index.php?showtopic=6152), or a constitution, ensures that our region remains democratic and available to all. To become a citizen, one must ratify that document, typically posted as a reply in the forum. But that's where the fun begins! You can participate in governmental elections, even run for positions as well!

A Regional Map (http://z1.invisionfree.com/forums/The_East_Pacific/index.php?showforum=267) is used to assist nations in roleplaying, which happens regularly on our forums. Put yourself on the map today and join in!

There's really quite a lot you can do in the region. If you're new I hope you'll get involved, be bold, and get to know us. If you're a casual player or even a vet, I still hope you get to know us better. We're a funny but friendly bunch.

BUT WAIT! Election season is here! Run for a magisterium post, deal with the hassles of politics, get your nation on the map! Declare yourself a runner here (http://z1.invisionfree.com/forums/The_East_Pacific/index.php?showtopic=6516). Declaration period ends Apri 26rd, 9 PM UTC (4 PM EST).

Until we meet again, have a good day and good luck!

What are the other feeder regions, if you don't mind my asking? I'm just curious.

I know the North Pacific, the South Pacific, and the West Pacific are feeder regions.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that Lazarus is also considered a feeder region? It's either that or the Rejected Realms.

I believe the fifth feeder region is simply named "The Pacific". Lazarus and The Rejected Realms are game-created non-feeder regions.

There are five feeder regions in the game:
The Pacific
The East Pacific
The West Pacific
The North Pacific
The South Pacific

Lazarus is where nations that have ceased to exist end up if the player restores their deleted nation. The Rejected Realms is where a nation goes if they are ejected from any region. Both Lazarus and The Rejected Realms are technically not feeder regions, but they certainly are unique ^^

Lazarus and The Rejected Realms are sometimes called "sinkers," because they contain not newly created nations (as do the Pacifics, the "feeders") but nations that have come from other regions - either because they were revived (Laz) or because they were ejected (TRR) from their previous location. Often, however, Laz and TRR are grouped with the feeders because all 7 are "game-created regions" that do not rely upon recruitment to maintain their populations.

This is a hugely important gameplay mechanic, because feeders are the only source of new players who can participate in the community and political life of any region, thus ensuring that that region survives, prospers, and remains politically or socially viable. The forum communities centered on feeders have an advantage that other forum communities do not, in that every new player will first be placed in a feeder region; feeders do not have to fight as hard to survive in NationStates as do all other regions.

Perhaps we should include information on referendums & laws being voted for in the Magisterium?
