Announcing a new region.

The Romulan Republic
13-01-2009, 10:22
Having grown tired of being stuck in a region with only two members, I have decided to try to form a new region. It is called The New Alliance, and it is founded on the principles of truth, freedom, and diplomacy. I offer an open invitation to all democratic nations to join. Also, I offer an open invitation to anyone with an interest in science fiction and fantasy (I have an obvious interest, given my nation's name).

Please telegram me if you are interested in joining, since a password is required.

I have my NS career full at the moment but I support your equal balance of regions and politics.

I probably shouldn't have put an open invitation for sci-fi/fantasy nations come to think of it, since I've noticed a lot of them aren't all that democratic (hence detracting from the political idealism I was aiming for).

Oh well, what's done is done I suppose.:D A couple people have said they want to join, so I guess you're not the only one who likes it.

Hmm ... I might be interested considering Rymeria is my FT puppet and it's based on democratic principles.

Right now, its constitution is loosely based on the old U.S. Articles of Confederation (or the constitution of the Confederate States of America, I can't really tell which). I'll probably RP a constitutional convention though.

Hmm, what do you do when people say they want in, but then never get back to you?:)

this looks like it would be perfect for me. Unfortunately i am content in my current region and do not get on enought to participate.

I don't demand high participation. But if you're content in your current region...:(

does any of this actually effect gameplay.. will we see war games and wars in the future? trade and economy micro managed? actually controllling aspects the population if needed etc.. making this a more interactive game and not just multiple choice, where the outcome is nothing what i selected.. i'm new to this, and often frown upon browserbased games.. espeacially text only.. it makes my eyes tired.. reading all the time.. but i'm getting into this..

Yeah, wars are just role-played on the forums, and dont have to effect your region or your nation at all. I think they changed that with NS2, but I like it fine as it is.:)

I joined the region. I also signed up to join the World Assembly (though that'd be a little weird since I RP Rymeria as a whole different planet.) Anyway, I guess I could serve as WA delegate if needed...

As far as I'm aware you are the only nation to join or express interest thats in the WA, so it looks like you'll have to for now.

Thanks for the bump, though it looks like it didn't do much good. Funny, I never even noticed this thread had been bumped:).
