Nationstates, nationstates 2 or something I now need to kill you for and have just lost after not thinking about it for over a 100 days ?

If nationstates - you get issues. Make a decision. The next day your countries description will change. You can join a region to show your affiliation and join the UN-thingy if you like other countries to impose their will on you.

In a nutshell that is all there is to the game itself. Many people however have taken to roleplaying on the other fora (this specific forum is for anything except the game ;)) - making maps of their countries, thinking up histories, writing about international affairs and so on.

See the threads labelled "Sticky" at the top of this forum? One of them -- click here (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=499394) -- has a brief version of the basic game-playing info in it, with links to other things you'll need, especially The One-Stop Rules Shop.

This (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=406396) is an old, old thread that still has good ideas in it.

Roleplay is one of the attractions. See the NationStates forum or, if you're interested in wars/diplomacy, check out International Incidents. People in this thread (http://forums2.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=545309) have offered to help newcomers. Ask about the NS Draftroom if you're into (weapon, ship, tank) design.

In the World Assembly you can make laws and in Issues you can (eventually) write issues for the whole of NS. General is for discussion and debate.

Each forum has stickies at the top about what that particular forum does and how to use it. If you read each of them, you'll know a lot more than at least half the NSers now playing.

If it's NS2 you're interested in, you can make a nation and post your query on their forum. It's different from NS and we're all just learning about what can be done there.

How do you make a map of your country?

With things like Adobe PhotoShop, PAINT.Net, and so on. You can use these sites for images like national flags, coat of arms, all of that.
