In many senses it seems that NS and NS2 are different games despite NS2 developing out of NS.

NS2 can't post in NS forums but NS can post in NS2.

How are we going to seperate NS2 nations from NS? Should we move all NS activity onto NS2 forums? Should we create an NS2 only section of NSWiki?

Opinions, comments, Doomsayers... all are welcome.

I personally don't like NS2. If people want actual war and trade, not just RPs, there are plenty of other games out there. I see no reason to corrupt what we have going here. Believe me, I've played most of those other games, but this one is the best, and it is the best because of what it doesn't have, what people have to RP, then because of what it does have.

I consider them as separate games. The NS2 version of Romanar is quite similar to the NS1 version, but they are still different nations, and as far as I'm concerned, NS2 has about as much relevance to NS1 as CyberNations does.

I play both but before I first registered as an NS1 Nation. Nevertheless I treat them as discrete.

Well they're very different there's no doubt about that. I think i still prefer NS for the communal feel of the place. My nation in NS2 is infact a vassal or client state of my NS nation so they are directly linked in roleplay terms and my NS2 nation is mentioned in the NSWiki pages about Urgench. I don't know if over time they will become seperate entities completely but for now Chimkent (NS2) is just and outpost of Urgench in a strange new world.

Should we move all NS activity onto NS2 forums?Why on earth would you do that? They're two different games. If they were the same game, NS1 would have been changed to look like NS2. NS1 related things go here, NS2 related things go in the NS2 forum.

Would you post on a Final Fantasy forum to talk about NS?


Should we create an NS2 only section of NSWiki?I would say that's up to the Wiki operators. They may want to say exclusively NS1.

NS2 is a fairly pointless game unless you are extremely dedicated to NationStates or for some reason don't like CyberNations. The only way to advance is to empty out your wallet basically, and I don't even understand why you bother calling it NS2 at all. It might as well be an entirely separate game. Too bad, I though NS2 had more potential than to simply be a CyberNations Clone

Would you post on a Final Fantasy forum to talk about NS?

I don't know, I might consider doing just that to try to drum up some new people for my region (http://www.nationstates.net/86655/page=display_region/region=final_fantasy).:tongue:

I would frankly prefer to continue keeping NS1 separate from NS2. I also haven't seen much yet that would make me switch to NS2 from NS1. But it is still just a beta, so we'll see.
