I made some bad decisions on some issues, and now I'm a "left-leaning college state". NONONO!

Relax. Take a deep breath. It can be fixed. Just make the right decisions and you'll find your government category change. And, honestly, government categories don't matter.

Don't worry, you're a young nation and as such you'll fluctuate a lot.

I don't like my category of "New York Times Democracy", but I have learned to live with it, and it's better than "Corporate Bordello", which I have had before.... Try to figure out what issues caused that classification to come up, and be conscious of that when resolving future issues, if necessary, dismiss issues sometimes.

First you have to figure out what what you do want rather than don't want.

For example, when I started, I knew I wanted a democracy where the people have lots of rights, but the king still is selfish sometimes.

So I am happy with my New York Times Democracy.

But really, focus on the subcatagories. Do you want lots of personal freedom but no economic freedom? Think about the consequences before making a decision.
