I see you've already found the best advice we've got on roleplaying: the thread of Euroslavia's you posted in, Roleplaying Tips and Suggestions (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=406680).

If you want advice on any of the forums, you'll see threads up the top labelled "sticky". This means they're always there, and you should read them. Different forums have different ideas of what a "good" thread is. Reading a lot of threads from the forum you want to post in will help give you an idea of what's needed.

Other players will give you advice, too. If they tell you that you can't have an army that size because you're too small, or that you can't make a typhoon suddenly wipe out any character who's annoying you, or whatever, please listen. They're not trying to insult you, they're trying to help. You don't have to agree with them, or act on what they say, but do listen politely.

Your region mates are another resource. You're in a biggish region, and there's an off-site forum, so you should be able to get some experience just interacting with other nations on regional affairs.

Whatever, you don't have to pass any exams or get any marks or anything, so just relax and let yourself have some fun.

Just - Watch & Learn! Read others posts - it always help!
And use word - (BUMP!)

Just once every 24 hours, please.

(And on an RP, it's a bit ... well ... over-eager, y'know?)

When you make a post in a thread, whatever the post says, the fact that you've posted puts the thread higher up (for a while) in the list of threads in that forum.

Gradually it will be pushed down the page by people making newer posts in other threads.

That's when some people post "BUMP" in the thread that's about to disappear, and -- presto! -- the thread goes up the list again. That gives it another chance of attracting others players' attention.

In my personal (ie, non-modly) opinion, bumps are a bit of a cop-out in RP threads. If you want to bump the thread, you can always write a "Meanwhile, back at the palace" post that covers some other aspect of your RP. I can see bumps make sense in storefronts or regional ads, though.

Anyway (resumes modhat) the rule on NS is: only one "Bump" allowed every 24 hours.
