Ok so i've been snoop[ing at soem factbooks to get some ideas since im still forming my nation, and I saw some people claimed real life lands in the world map. How can I do this? do I just grab one or do I have to RP war for one?

And if this is not possible can I just create a map for my nation without having it be connected to the real world?

NationStates is very free-form when it comes to fashioning your nation, you're welcome to make it into whatever you want it to be. I'm not sure what the landgrabbing's all about, but I suspect it's something the region members invented themselves. What you see is what you get. Everything else is up to you.
