Local Political Parties?

Boringastan

So what are the local political parties in your area. We have 5 in the Boringastan National Congress. But only 2 that tend to get 90 percent of the votes combined in the Presidential elections. They are the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and the National Union Party (NU). The other three are the Greens, Democrats, and Christian Democratic Union (CDU). Here are they on the Political Compass btw.

SDP: Center-Left. Our current President, Michael Roberts is an SDP. They also hold a majority of the seats (256 out of 500 seats). However, some influencial party members such as Rep. George Cass (New Boston) and Rep. Anderson Leclair (Newburg) have lead a faction of the party that is more economically right, even more so than the Democrats. This so called faction has around 50 SDP members of Congress. Their tripartisanship with the National Union Party and the laissez-faire Democrats in crucial economic bills have made the country dismantle the Welfare State.

NU: Center-Right. They are the main opposition to the SDP. They are the most economically right, but not as authoritarian as the Christian Democrats. The leadership of George Jackson has made them far more right wing than they have appeared. They have the 2nd most seats (206 out of 500).

Green: Left. They believe that the government should have much more control over the economy than the SDP. While they are the 2nd smallest party (6 seats), they have contributed to many environmental bills passed in Congress.

Democrats: "Center-Left." They were once the main opposition to the National Union, but after the Congressional election of 1998, the SDP took over after many leftist Boringastanians were disenchanted with their positions on trying to privatize economy. Many left-wing members of the party joined the SDP (or God forbid, the Greens) and they now are the 3rd largest party (30 seats). Few Economically left Democrats exist in the party. Some of them are laissez faire in their economic ideas.

CDU: They don't really fit the left-right spectrum unlike the four parties above. They are very authoritarian on social issues, but they are not as right wing in fiscal issues due to party leader Joseph Johnson supporting the National Health Care Service (NHCS) and other such issues. They have the least amount of seats (2 seats).

The political system in Omigodtheykilledkenny is dominated by two major political parties, the Pansy-Ass Liberal Hippy Treehugger Party, which recently seized control of both houses of Congress, and the God-Fearing Freedom-Loving Conservative Patriot Party, to which the current president, Manuelo Fernanda, belongs. There are other parties, most of which I make up as I go along, but there is a Green Party in the Federal Republic, as well as the Constitution Reform Party, which is a far-right-wing, isolationist, anti-trade, Pat Buchanan-esque creature. Some of the third parties may control town councils or even have a contingent in state legislatures, but none currently have a seat in the Federal Congress. You need corporate sponsorship to fare well in OMGTKK's business-controlled system, and the corporations are wary about switching parties if the can help it. Independents can occasionally break through the corporate barrier into national politics, however, particularly if they have the cash or business savvy. The current vice president, Antigone Morgan, is an independent, as are a handful of senators and assemblymen.

Major political parties in the Altan Steppes:

New Altan Party (NAP) - Centrist to mildly right-wing party. Holds the majority position in the Federation Congress with 148 seats.
Altan Liberal Party (ALP) - Centrist to mildly left-wing party. Holds the minority position in Congress with 113 seats. The current President, Alana Kasimira, is a member of the ALP.

Minor political parties:

Altan Green Party (AGP) - Environmentalist party. Holds 59 seats in Congress.
Party of Believers (PB) - Religious party closely affiliated with the Solar Pantheonic Church. Holds 29 seats in Congress.
Altan Social Welfare and Justice Party (ASWJP) - Far left-wing party concerned primarily with social justice issues. Holds 25 seats in Congress. The current Vice-President, Aliri Margal, is a member of the ASWJP.
Altan Conservative Union (ACU) - Far right-wing party. Holds 28 seats in Congress. Often sides with the NAP and the PB.
Altan Socialist Workers' Party (ASWP) - Socialist party. Holds 12 seats in Congress.
Altan Communist Party (ACP) - Communist party. Holds 6 seats in Congress.

There are a slew of smaller parties with no representation in Congress; they are primarily centered around regional or local concerns, or around a very closely defined set of issues. Some examples include the Altan Agrarian Rights Movement, the Altan Urban Coalition, the Workers' Rights Coalition, the Nomadic Preservation Movement, and the Altan Business Alliance. Independents do exist, but have no seats in Congress currently.

We never caught the "hey, let's be excessively divisive!" bug, so we don't have political parties.

With its staggering levels of voter apathy, the Hack never really had political parties. And then with the banning of elections in general, well...

We don't have political parties on a national basis, because the members of the 'High Council of Clans' are chosen by their separate Clans' own governments: Some of the Clans have political parties in their own systems, and some of those parties have alliances (with varying levels of stability) with counterparts in other Clans, but that's all...
Living Freedom Land

We have parties.
In order from most powerful to least:

*The Anarchist Legion is the most powerful group(as much due to military might as public support) with a general "Stick it to the man!" attitude. They really don't care what happens just as long as the state stays out of it.
*The Sons and Daughters of the Corporate Liberty Army are a very socially liberal group as long as it serves business interests and usually support a lax economic policy unless regulation would help business(tariffs, corporate welfare, etc).
*The Bureaucratic Stability Party are a small group(but growing) largely consisting of people who want to widen the government's scope on everything for what they see as a more peaceful and safer world. Although many of them are old loyalists a new group are former Legionists who dislike what the nation has become because of it's idealistic outlook on things and want to undo what they have done. Recently this group helped establish Dead Oppressive World, a small area of Living Freedom Land, as another country in which they are the majority party.
*The Barbarian Superiority Party are a group of nationalists that largely ally with the Bureaucratics, but they embody a more extreme imperialistic approach to the world. They are fervently nationalistic and racist against non-barbarians. They believe that the English language has corrupted the culture of Living Freedom Land, and they wish to outlaw it and make the few remaining Barbarian Dialects required throughout the country for citizenship. They also support racial cleansing(death camps) for minorities and a caste system for those who are most like the archetypal barbarian to those who are only part barbarian in their genetic make-up. Recently this group helped establish Dead Oppressive World, a small area of Living Freedom Land, as another country in which they are the opposition party.

The political parties in my nation are defined here (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showpost.php?p=13753059&postcount=6). The Imperial Party, along with the Legionaire Party and the Conservative Party forms the coalition government as they have very similar goals.
