Having been founded in December 2002 the Anticapitalist Alliance (ACA) is one of the oldest anticapitalist regions in the NS world.
We believe that capitalism is an oppressive system driven by short term greed that concentrates power and wealth in the hands of the privileged few. It is a system based from its very core on inequality and competition against other people. Due to its nature, capitalism will not endure forever. However, defeating it will not be easy, and without action it will continue to plague our world for centuries. Therefore, we must unite.
The ACA is built on four guiding principles:
- We reject exploitative economical systems that only view beings and the whole world as resources to be exploited. We believe there is more to the world than just profit and efficiency.
- We are anti-imperialist, oppose class-divisions, sexism and other forms of prejudice against fellow human beings.
- We respect the differences between individual humans beings, groups and peoples. As such we accept and support any and all governmental systems opposed to capitalism that respect fundamental human rights and the principles of democracy.
- The Alliance has no hierarchical governing system. Our UN delegate is democratically elected and all member states are free to participate in decision-making of the region. We welcome democratic discussions and debate in all subjects.
We encourage the involvement of any state that accepts this statement of principles in the Alliance. Join us today!
