Greetings Nation,
I would like to invite you to join the region of Great Britannia. We are a democratic body which consists of many semi~autonomous regions. Our target is to make our Empire one of the most significant powers in the NationStates world and we are looking for imaginative and enthusiastic people to join us.
Our Government is based on the British Parliamentary Democracy. There is a bi-cameral Parliament serving as our Legislature, a Cabinet is formed from those elected to the Parliament and in turn forms the Executive, while an advanced Judicial System is also in place, consisting of two Degrees of Jurisdiction. The right to vote and stand in General Elections is freely granted to all our citizens and there is plenty of scope for new and active members to be elected soon after they join the region.
Great Britannia has spread her name all around the NationStates world. We are in the proccess of obtaining numerous embassies in many large regions, while more and more Foreign Diplomats join our forum. Apart from Diplomacy, the region hopes to maintains a reasonably large military force, which is frequently engaged in activities across the NationStates world. Great Britannia is made to operate outside the raider~defender axis, shaping a more realistic geopolitical policy.
Besides the Government, in Great Britannia there are plenty of things you can do to entertain yourself. You can join the Immigration Service or the Statistics Service, enter the Diplomatic Corps and represent the region as an Ambassador, become a News Agent for one of our newspapers or even edit your own one. There is a progressing RP section, as well as a Stock Exchange, if you want to practise your managing skills. There is also a small Football (soccer) Tournament in which you can participate, as well as other facilities.
And finally, but not least importantly, we have an interesting and ever~growing community of people to share all this with. Although Great Britannia is a British~like region, many of our citizens come from different places all over the world come to achieve a simulated career in the British government.
