Rapid Economic Drop

For an incredibly long time (2.7 years, maybe?) my nation has had an economic rating of Frightening, which I understood to be good. However, about three weeks ago, it dropped overnight to Basket Case. Does anyone know if anything changed about the way that issues affect the economy, for I know that the way I was answering them did not.

Too many la-de-da decisions and tree hugging Greeny left wing political morons who mow the grass on Sundays and wear bike shorts have stuffed your economy. For a small fee, my trained team of psychotic killers can fix it - and if doesn't (I mean really why the hell should it??) - wellllllllll, who'll miss the Pratts anyway???????

Three weeks ago was long enough back that I know longer know which particular issues were answered. I do know, however, that no new issues came up, and I was answering them just as I always had. Since my nation's economy tends to be very communist and restrictive of the private sector, I would understand if it had slowly slipped into being a disaster, but not suddenly.
