Do people when RP'ing buying and deploying their military generally try to motorize their entire forces? What I mean by that is do you buy a truck for every 9 or so guys that one truck can carry, or do you buy a certain percentage of trucks per soldiers and then transport them in turns or something? I only ask for pricing reasons in storefronts.

Depends what sort of strategy you're operating under, what sort of wars you're fighting and how much money you have. A third world nation will have less mechanised stuff (and will probably use technicals - flatbed trucks with machine guns mounted on them - for fire support instead of tanks). A modern industrialised nation which expects to be fighting lots of wars abroad will want more motorised transport, particularly if they have large areas to cover. A nation which eschews foreign wars and can depend upon its domestic rail networks and the like to transport troops will need less trucks. And so on.
