Anyone give me help on trying to build my nation's regional influence?

Regional influence is:

a measure of how important a nation is considered in its current region. Influence is determined by two factors: how much time the nation has spent in this region, and how many WA endorsements it has had over that time.

This link (http://www.nationstates.net/page=influence) will tell you more.

So the way to increase regional influence is to stay in a region a long time, or to gain a lot of WA endorsements. Theoretically, the more WA members in the region, the more endorsements you can gain, so being in a region that has recruited a lot of WA members can help the region's individual members.

Note, though, that regional influience is within your region and applies to an individual nation . The amount of influence your region has on other regions depends on different qualities, and may have nothing at all to do with anything statistical.

if my region invades and destroys another region does that affect regional influence?

if my region invades and destroys another region does that affect regional influence?

Whose influence? Yours, in their region? The former delegate's? Your home region's? (I can't see how it could affect the last one in-game, though it might affect your reputation).

The whole question seems to me to depend on so many variables -- whether they've got an active Founder, whether you've invaded with long-term sleepers or in an unplanned grab, how long their delegate's been delegate -- that I can't see how it can be answered.

But I'm not that into that side of the game, so if anyone's understood the question differently and can answer it, feel free.
