I've searched all the alliances and found no sign of a pacifist one. Unlikely as it seems, I'd like to think that there are at least a few other pacifist nations out there. If there is already an (active) alliance and I just overlooked it, I would greatly appreciate being shown a link. Alternatively, if there is not yet an alliance, please get in touch with me and we can begin working out a pact to be posted in International Incidents.

It could work on providing aid/refuge/etc., serve as an arbitrator/mediator, promote disarmament, things like that. It's not as if war is the only thing to do.

Great! I don't think there's a minimum number of nations for alliances, so I guess I'd better start thinking of a catchy name. (...not my strong spot.) Any ideas?

If those nations have a forum account, why don't you point them to this thread so we can start outlining the pact that will be posted in International Incidents?

Pacifism means to promote peace; a pacifist alliance would never go to war. (Or at least do its absolute best not to.) If you want to go to war, this is not the alliance for you. I hope you will think about this some more with my explanation in mind.

I guess we could, but if somebody tried to attack us we'd attack them back with negotiations. If they insisted on crushing us, as you put it, despite our efforts to avoid conflict, then they'd just look like douchebags. I'd prefer to avoid making other people look bad.

I'm not a Pacifist nation, but I totally support the idea of you guys forming an alliance. I think it'd put an interesting twist on things. Sure, it'll also lead to an enormous amount of drama, but isn't that the glory in RPing? :-P

I am a Pacifist nation, but yeah no actual Pacifist alliance.

I would actually be more of a Defence based nation, I enter wars to further my own security but will not enter wars that further my nations power at the cost of another.

I say join a alliance that is more of a Defence Pact, they tend to do more of the things you mentioned.

I'd join if it wasn't for the fact that my nation is against joining. It even resides in a region for nations not wanting to belong to a region, so... CX

But hey, if anyone needs to flee their country, feel free to come to my nation. I'm sure there's a free island somewhere.

I'm all for the idea, as neutrality is one of the cornerstones of my country's foreign policy. How about the Alliance for Peace and Accord (APA)?

I think a pacifist alliance would be a good idea.... Get them all in one place and knock them off in one fatal swoop.:upyours:

I'm not a pacifist nation per se (my general policy tends to be to maintain a small per capita military and avoiding armed interventions as much as possible), but if I would be allowed to, I would like to join a pacifist/neutral alliance.
