A contradiction in my nation's bio?

The Parkus Empire

The Enlightened Despotism of The Parkus Empire is a massive, economically powerful nation, remarkable for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 5.078 billion enjoy some of the most opulent lifestyles in the region, unless they are unemployed or working-class, in which case they are variously starving to death or crippled by easily preventable diseases.

The government -- a sprawling, bureaucracy-choked morass -- juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Commerce. Income tax is unheard of. A powerhouse of a private sector is dominated by the Arms Manufacturing industry.

Radio shows frequently feature people denouncing religion, cheese has become the new icon of political dissent, people who are terrified of needles are torn between their phobia and free health care, and a government program is underway to revitalize The Parkus Empire's beaches. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. The Parkus Empire's national animal is the yungowl, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the parkus credit.

The Parkus Empire is ranked 1st in the region and 5,582nd in the world for Largest Automobile Manufacturing Sector.

What the heck?

Well... perhaps you have free health care, but it's really crappy health care.

The technical answer is that the first bit is a stock description based on your UN category (Corporate Bordello?), while the second is a description a specific issue gave you.

Maybe a LOT of your nation's poorer people are too scared of needles to take the free vaccinations...
