Haberion
03-03-2008, 03:15
The currency of Haberion is the seal, abbrevated as a capital letter S with a horizontal stroke through the centre--or just an S on computers not set up for the special character (S155, for example).
The seal is subdivided into twenty plumb (neither unit name takes the plural), abbreviated with a lowercase letter P (15p, for example).
Combinations are written with a seal symbol and a stroke between the seal and plumb; for example: S10/5 is ten seal five plumb, S44/9.6 is forty-four seal nine and six-tenths plumb, and S2/.1 is two seal one-tenth plumb.
Coins are minted in units of:
1/10p
½p
1p
2p
5p
10p
S1
Notes are printed in units of:
S2
S5
S10
S20
S50
S100
S1 is worth AU$5.00; 1p is therefore the equivalent of twenty-five Australian cents. 1/10p (the lowest coinage) is the equivalent of 2.5 Australian cents, and S100 (the highest note printed) is the equivalent of AU$500.

Swilatia
03-03-2008, 14:35
The currency of Swilatia is the Swilla (sw), which is worth about 2.05 USD
(NStrackers says 2.0098 USD, but Swilatia is my country, not NStrackers' country, so I feel I can value the currency however I want to.)
The coins are printed in denominations of: 0.01, 0.02, 0.05, 0.10, 0.20, and 0.50 swillas, and notes are printed in denominations of: 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, and 200 swillas.
As a side note, you should change the img tag in your post to a URL tag. the image is needlessly large (it's prolly much larger than the coin itself), and as such is messing up the list. perhaps just put links to the images below the rest of the currency images?

St Hollis
04-03-2008, 00:37
Well, as our nation is relatively new, it seems the exchange rate is S$4.0459 = $1.
Our national Currency is the Shine. Being a new country in the 21st Century though, we actually have no physical currency. This has the effect of limiting financial crime to the cybersphere, where it can be more easily monitored and addressed. Payment cards are used to initiate the transaction, and the Cardholder's thumbprint is scanned at the point of sale to confirm identity.
For simplicity's sake, there are no sub-divisions to the Shine.

The Most Glorious Hack

Let's see...
The Hack uses the chit, which is an entirely electronic currency, so there's nothing to show, and denominations are meaningless. Apparently it's worth C$1 = $2.0491
Not too shabby, I guess.
Escobosia
04-03-2008, 12:56
In Escobosia, we use the Escobosian I-Shell.
Exchange Rate: 2.7115 Ish (Esc) = $1
Our coins are:
0.5 Ish
1 Ish
2.5 Ish
5 Ish
10 Ish
Our notes are:
10 Ish
25 Ish
50 Ish
100 Ish
250 Ish
500 Ish
1000 Ish
and that's all.
The I-Shell was first seen in the country Cyberia, wich was in the region of Miniconomy. The country Cyberia, as it was known then has disappeared, but the region of Miniconomy is still there. It used to be shells that were traded (that's where the name comes from) but for 50 years they are coins and notes wich have a shell on them. When Escobosia was founded from a former province of the country Cyberia, they kept the currency I-Shell. This currency is still being used in some parts of Miniconomy, although not always with the same name. We from Escobosia choose to name the currency the Escobosian I-Shell, so it's clearly we are an independent land with our own name for our currency.

Well, It's my country, is it not? After all, everyone who's been here for more than say,... a few hours, will know that all these gameplay statistics are generated from issue responses. I haven't answered an issue in one year, as I just don't really care for gameplay.
And besides, gameplay doesn't allow you to decide a capital city, largest city, area, national anthem, coat of arms, national flower, national tree, national bird, timezone, official language, or leader, so what do you do? Assume your country does not have anything like that?
The 'jehano' (pronounced 'jeh-haah-nu') is the national currency of Reloria, which is a metric currency and available on the foreign exchange. One hundred pecintos are equivalent to one jehano. Omigodtheykilledkenny
04-03-2008, 16:19
My currency is the tree-fiddy, which -- unfortunately -- is not actually worth $3.50. NSTracker has it at about two bucks, NSEconomy at about half a cent below that. The wiki (http://ns.goobergunch.net/wiki/tree_fiddy.html) provides some details, albeit not very useful ones:
Tree-fiddy (TRFD) is the primary monetary unit for the Federal Republic of Omigodtheykilledkenny. It is supposedly worth USD$3.50, or 350 cents, but the divisions of Kennyite currency are so confusing even economists have trouble sorting them out. Supposedly five "bees" make a quarter, but no one is sure if that means 25 cents, or a quarter of tree-fiddy, which is 87½ cents. Many Kennyite children are swindled out of much change at candy stores as a result. The tree-fiddy bill is a lavender note with a picture of Nessie and a disclaimer absolving the OMGTKK Department of Treasury of any responsibility should the bearer be harassed by the Loch Ness Monster for "tree-fiddy."her-her-her...

Crapoozan CUrrency is called the chezina, and sub currency is the Milina
It issues the following bills to the populace:
500 chezina bill
100 chezina bill
50 chezina bill
20 chezina bill
10 chezina bill
5 chezina bill
2 chezina bill
As for the coins, we have the following:

50 Milina piece
25 milina piece(quarter)
10 milina piece(dime)
5 milina piece(nickel)
1 milina piece(penny)
100 milinas= 1 chezina
Our currency is modeled after the Canadian system in many ways in the naming of our bills. As for the exchange rate with the real world Canada it is $1 Canadian= 1.04 Chezinas
$1 American= 1.01 Canadian
Therefore the Crapoozan equivalent of 1 U.S> dollar is figured out by this:
1.04x 1.01= 1.0504
THerefore $1 American = 1.0504 Chezinas

Bah! Worthless paper..can you eat paper? wear paper? No, of course not. What is your insane preoccupation with worthless colored pieces of paper?
The Holy Land of the United Tribes of Apoclypsia uses REAL money-gold, gems and of course, bartering. This paper nonsense must be from something produced from the toxins you eat and drink from your society.
So...you seem ascribe wealth by ultility (bartered goods) and, well, shiny-ness? If I were to give you some lovely pyrite or mica...could I have some of that gold and gems? Would this be preworked artifacts of your failed ancestors, or newly mined materials?

Our region has a shared currency, the Conargo, but we've kept our old one, the Quint. 1 quint is divided into 100 cents. Coins come in 1, 2, 5, 10, 20 and 50 cents and 1 and 2 quints. Most of the coins have some kind utopian or authoritave image on the front, and a picture of the Archemperor on the back. The notes come in 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 quints and look a bit modern and a bit good-old-days at the same time, like the new British £20 note. Commercial banks can mint their own notes, which usually have local people on them.
Most of our colonies and company territories use the imperial quint, our dominions the standard quint, and GC members use their own alongide the commonwealth quint.

The Sarrowquandian iron nugget is the IN and is worth I$2.7711 = $1.
Due to our I.T. skills and 100% tax rate all transactions are carried out electronically and the government bureaucracy determines citizens goods, rations and credit levels. Physical iron nuggets are defunct but all Dominion citizens carry them ceremonially.
The division of an electronic iron nugget is infinite. Hence it is known as EINiII (Electronic Iron Nugget in Infinite Increments). Some economists have noted that a sinister government agency could use these large fractions to transmit coded messages across the Dominions. These findings were published posthumously.

The currency of the Kiravian Empire is the Saar(♢). The subunits are called kilae. While the same glyph is always used to denote the saar, many symbols for the kila exist. "ĸ" is quite popular.
♢1= 1,000ĸ
Paper money was never developed in Kirav, and has not been implemented. Kiravians see paper bills as too fragile and easily lost to be a substitute for a good ol' coin. The same goes for the credit card, an invention largely ignored outside of Eastern Kirav. As such, Saar numismatics has become a very interesting field.
Almost all Kiravian colonies have a mint that strikes their own local saar variety (Like the different national forms of the Euro). Some provinces only allow their local saar to be used in purchasing. The Imperial Mint, located in Cypressbrake, Kirav, and with four subsidiary branches is responsible for striking the Imperial Saar, which is used in Kirav and throughout the Empire. It also produces commemorative, historical replica, ceremonial, and emergency coins. It also takes out contracts from companies and municipal governments to make toll coins, phone tokens, and prepaid tokens for golf-ball machines.
Historically, Kiravian coins have been varied in their construction. Gold, silver, and copper were never used, though Iron, Zinc, Bronze, Brass, and various other metals have. During shortages, pieces of candy have been used for currency(Usually in units of 500ĸ-♢5).
Coins are named by the amount of saars they are worth
1ĸ- Tab, Piece
10ĸ- Tory
100ĸ- Cent
500ĸ- Glint

♢2- Twin

♢30- Crown
