I am wondering which region to join, my nation is loosely based of the Oceania of George Orwell's 1984
Tell tell me, where should I join and why?

You could try the Asian Continent (http://www.nationstates.net/89346/page=display_region/region=asian_continent).
The Pacific Islands afterall, you can't be more Oceanic than in the middle of the Equatorial Pacific. Oh and because we'll allow the Thought Police; or a Giant Dragon.
